This is not a film noir lit-cigarette rose like Malle’s “Portrait of a lady”, it is not soaked with wine and dipped in chocolate like Tom Ford’s “Cafe Rose”, it is not powdered with vintage makeup and berries like Malle’s “Lipstick rose”, and it is certainly not paired with a Chanel handbag in a flamboyant, soapy fashion like “Chloe”.
I think the simplicity of this one really stole my heart. After the drydown, this is a velvety, sweet, pure rose musk with a hint of champagne. Definitely reminiscent of something I’ve purchased from LUSH before (Not Rose Jam), and I’m happy to have found a rose scent that focuses SOLELY on the bloom, not the green of the stem.
Short-lived, but romantic and nose-catching while it sticks around. Don’t overlook!
