Description
“The famous Swiss naturalist Conrad Gessner is considered the founder of modern zoology, but as a true 16th century scientist he was also a prominent physician, botanist, linguist and—of course—spelunking adventurer.
In his Descriptio Montis Fracti sive Montis Pilati from 1555, he chronicles his climb to the summit of Mount Pilatus, but we also get to follow him into the caves of the Alps. ‘At night, the moon shines into the cave so brightly the light itself seems to take form, like a mist. It gathers in the ceiling and makes the limestone stalactites glitter and gleam, dripping tears of white liquid into puddles on the rock floor that never dries. Moonmilk.'”—Stora Skuggan
A massive accord of sandalwood makes up nearly half the formula, letting that sacred and alluring scent take center stage. Other notes showcase the different aspects of the multi-faceted wood. Lily-of-the-valley and mandarin bring out the calming smoothness, warmth is boosted by cardamom and lime, while the subtly dry texture of sandalwood is reflected in black tea. A touch of leather provides depth to underline the full body of the wood.
Moonmilk was launched in 2017. The nose behind this fragrance is Tomas Hempel.

I love this! Sandalwood is my favorite note and this has tons of it. Aside from the quick burst of lime at the beginning, it is very, very dry, which I love. There seems to be a fair bit of vetiver contributing to the arid quality, but it is otherwise sandalwood all the way. Sillage is not strong up close, but is very diffusive. People could smell me from another room, but no one was choked up close and I’ve gotten compliments on how I smell rather than on my perfume. It lasts forever so make sure you like it. Adorable bottle.

When I first applied this I was immediately blown away! I don’t have a lot of experience with lime in fragrances other than it being paired with coconut or something like that giving off a tropical vibe. This is far from that, this to me is very herbaceous and smooth. I’m not the best at describing fragrances but this will be in my collection soon.

there is a lot of sandalwood in this fragrance. In fact I don’t detect many other notes. If you are a sandalwood lover, I recommend trying this one.

For me this a richer, more inviting , and more unisex version of Midnight in paris.
Yes that might not seem possible, but you have to smell it. It is as if midnight and paris got mixed with cold milk and a little more clean patchouli and you get moonmilk. Think Oud Satin mood kind of territory here.
For Niche lovers I suggest you check this out, this is one seductive fragrance either gender could pull off, but I would prefer on a women.
Longevity is elbow length for 7 to 8 hours and it seems to work better in the evenings, nothing for the summer.
For me a Masterpiece.

Very comforting scent, reminds me most of all of fancy chai tea. Not as evocative and unusual as the other scents from the brand, but very nice. Like a warm hug.

Very nice. Unisex. On first blast, I get lime and sandalwood. No sharpness. Not milky, but creamy. There is a little bit of tea that I can pick out, but only from reading the notes first. This smells like it could be a Lush bath bomb.
After a while, I can sniff out a light leather and some lemony cardamom.
It is a beautiful fragrance; I think it would work year round. Perfectly down-the-middle unisex.
Not a beast fragrance, but I am working from a dabber, not a spray. It does project into the air a little bit (not a skin scent). Will have to see if it gets noticed. Will report back…
…OK, on dry down, the leather comes forward, so I have to edit this to say it does take a step toward the masculine side, but still very wearable for women. It is still like a purr rather than a growl. I can also get some balsamic sandalwood backstage of the leather. I don’t get any lily of the valley anywhere. Still really like it.

Lovely sandalwood with other notes blended in giving it a light, comforting, settled in feeling…really loving this one…the name, the bottle, everything about this is total love for me…wonderful winter perfume…

A gorgeous, modern sandalwood-based offering from the amazingly creative new house Stora Skuggan, this, their third offering combines the central luscious sandalwood note with notes of leather, cardamom, lime, tea and lily of the valley to create a bright, happy, and pronounced scent with pronounced sillage and longevity. The downside is that there is a hint that beauty created is slightly synthetic but the juice is so gorgeous on my skin that I don’t care too much. I thought that CDG’s modern take on sandalwood, Concrete was disappointing but this little known beauty takes that concept and executes it perfectly. Absolutely euphoric and mind-dizzying gorgeous, this is one you need to get your hands on right now.

Scent – tea with lime intro, transitioned into a leather, cardamon & sandalwood base.
Season/Time of Day – I prefer to use this one in the colder months, during the day.
Projection – I did get noticed, I didn’t get a compliment.
Longevity – I get 6hrs consistently.
