i carried my sample out into the full moon and after imagining a field of nocturnal blooms in front of me, i brought the sample to my nose…
and each nocturnal bloom breathed forth their aromatic messages.
messages of gardens grown for midnight meetings and whimsical if not gothic forays into the garden.
agreed, there is a sense of wind… or air moving through this garden.
it’s easily accessed by man or woman as these messages are for humankind. they speak of something holy, something that could touch the heart of anyone and everyman.

Moon Dance has a really subtle, quasi-floral green opening with some kinda dry leave, mild tart type of sweetness, something with a personality like patchouli. Also, it has a touch of breeze feeling, maybe it’s due to the mint, but it’s not really your traditional minty at all, it’s somewhat like rice cake without the real rice cake smell, clean, nice, subtle sweet.
Later on, it gets sweeter, warmer, something like real life dried tea leaves(not the synthetic, slightly headache inducing weird cold ‘fresh’ tea leaves feeling). Every now and then, nice clean subtle jasmine comes and goes (the jasmine here is divine, just like the one you can smell directly from the flower).
The dry down is kinda warm sweet-leather-musk-powdery, all in a soft way, which makes me think of really soft, slightly worn, beige colour leather handbag or something along that line.
Worth trying, Moon Dance can easily be one of the really really pretty, refined, easy-to-wear, a-little-bit-shy floral woody musk perfume out there. It’s not my cup-of-tea, but I have to admit, I like it a lot, and it’s one of the very few floral woody musk type of perfumes which I can actually enjoy, without the headache.
