Coconut + fudge-like sweetness + tiare flower (buble gum + honey + artificial note of diesel oil or bedstraw flowers).
    Exotic, pleasant, full of sun.

This is intriguing – soft projection right off the bat, sits close to the skin…but surprisingly tenacious for such a soft fragrance! It lasts a good 6-8 hours on clothes, sometimes more depending on weather.
The fragrance itself is great, the embodiment of summer on the beach. It smells rich, buttery and tropical. I just wish it projected more, but even so I really like it and think it’s good value for money.

I love this scent for the summer, because it reminds me of beach and sun with the tiare flower and coconut notes. It’s perfect for those who like a “juicy” scent.

This was better than the new one. Younger and not that overpowering.

(This review is based on the body oil)
I got this is a gift and on me it’s a fun, happy, sweetly-artificial scent. Slightly reminding of tiara flowers and no coconut detected.
It actually reminds me a lot of Melissa shoes – you know, those cute recycled plastic shoes that smell really sweet?
Well, if you wish for a colorful scent that’ll make you smile and has nothing pretentious about it – just give it a try 🙂

I’ve got the shampoo and I scent a more prominent flower note than coconut note. Smells flowers, gum and soap. The coconut note is weak and a bit creamy. Don’t know how the perfume smells but I guess it’s different from the shampoo, maybe less or not at all soapy and/or floral.
The shampoo is blue, transparent with white tiare flowers (they look like frangipanis) – very beautiful 🙂
I’ve also got the Pop Exotic shampoo and I definately prefer that one more than this one.

I received a decant of this and was very happy to finally try this. I had trouble figuring out if it was perfume or oil the texture was strange to me, but now it makes perfect sense seeing it as a “alcohol free” perfume.
Hmm…I really imagined this being different. I get a sunscreeny coconut, some tiare, and something fruity and high pitched like cherry.
I wore this to a wedding Sunday and it was blazing hot outside but this fragrance still didn’t project off me noticeably.
What a let down, but at least I finally got to try it.

I love floral scents and coconut, so this is an ideal combination for me. It transports me to Tahiti, to the tropical flavored beaches, turqoise lagoons and hot sun. It’s floral, milky, sweet, a real pleasure.

Maybe for me it’s the best fragrance with tiare. Not ideal. But better than some expensive fragrances with it, because it’s noticeable, long-lasting and more soliflore.

Gentle, hygrating, refreshing, I’d call this one a simple pleasure 🙂 good stuff to use while at the beach or if spending a lot of time out in the heat . Very pleasant smell of Tiare/coconut. Packaging is now blue, but the product’s the same.

I LOVE this scent. I discovered the Yves Rocher Monoi oil in 1992 and since then I use the oil every summer and also sometimes when I need to have a little summer during the cold winter months.
In 2011 I bought the Monoi de Tahiti fragrant spray, which has exactly the same scent as my beloved Monoi oil. Unfortunately it has a poor longevity and sillage, but it’s affordable so I don’t mind spraying during the day whenever needed. LOVELY, EXOTIC scent of tahitian flowers and a bit of coconut. I hope it will never be discontinued!

This is a great one, and alcohol free so it doesn’t dry the skin. Lovely sweet soliflore. Doesn’t last long but it is worth to have. Exotic vacation in a bottle. Sometimes I mix it with some coconut because in itself it’s rather a sweet floral, I don’t get much coconut from it. On par with Montale’s Intense Tiare, at least for my nose, but much cheaper, more affordable.

My husband and I have been using these Monoi products for body and bath in Yves Rocher’s various incarnations for about 10 years or so and have found them very pleasing. The body spray lasts a long time on me, so much so that I have to watch it. We both love the shower gel. It’s not the world’s most sophisticated smell, but I don’t necessarily want that in a tropical breeze scent, and at least we don’t smell anything nasty or unpleasant in it. For the money, they are super products.
Some of Yves Rocher’s best scents have been ones they used in their skin care products. I don’t know why they’ve never considered using the scents as body sprays. And of course, eventually, the skin care lines get discontinued as well.

This pretty tropical white flower fragrance oil is exactly how monoi should smell as 2746cstreet noted. The sweetness of the natural tiare scent almost reminds me of a real ripe honeydew melon, though there is nothing exactly “fresh” or “ozonic” about this fragrance per se. It just smells very ripe to me. It has a sparkling soft sweet scent. Great for layering. Projection and longevity are both pretty good.
What a special find for such an inexpensive price.

Perfect monoi. Too often, perfumes in this genre smell plasticky, too sugary etc etc. Monoi de Tahiti is coconutty and yes, sweet, but still very much a white floral fragrance.
I like this fragrance best in body oil form. You don’t need much and it’s very long lasting.
Can’t comment on application to hair or for beauty purposes, but as a perfume it is long lasting with prominent sillage.

This is a trip to Hawaii in a bottle. I had the luck of getting the last bottle at YR after not being able to find it for quite some time. I was so happy! I sprayed once on my forearm and it lasted for a good six hours. It smells like flowers and, even though you can’t smell the coconut in an obvious way, you know it’s there, and it feels marvelous, rich and comforting. Seriously, it relaxed me and made me feel at ease! If you close your eyes you can even see the palm trees, sand and waves crashing. Such a luscious fragrance.

I actually have the oil for this and so my review will be based on that. Now, I use the oil year ’round and love it because it’s so good for the skin. But the smell is sublime. Made for the summer at the beach the smell is also very warming and comforting during the dry winter months and this oil is AWESOME for winter afflicted skin.
Oil yourself up, spray it on… whatever you do you will most likely LOVE this scent.

It’s like a summerday at the beach on an exotic island. Very very good perfume!!!

I love it, it smells exactly like summer! It’s exotic, and reminds me of the beach, the warm sand, the palm trees and a tropical island. Also, I really like the fact that it’s alcohol free, so you can wear it in the sun! Too bad it doesn’t last very long though.

really lovely and exotic for summer. i love wearing it at night or by the pool. the tiare flower is of course prominant, but the blend of coconut and what smells like a slight musk is very alluring. i’ve gotton countless compliments on this just for the few times that i’ve worn it. a summer stunner.

I really wanted this, I went to the store to buy this one or the other one. The smell isn’t bad, but I didn’t fell in love with it. It wasn’t the summersmell I was after. It wasn’t that nice coconut-tiaré smell on me, just a heavy cloyingly sweet perfume. Too bad, I really wanted to like it.

    Is this even available anymore???
    Its perfect for summer.
The dry oil spray was perfect for spritzing into your hair after a day at the pool.

Must-have ! Only monoï, only sweetness and softness. I love it, I have the shower gel and I always loved it. This spray is a very good idea to smell this adorable fragrance all day long.

Smells like summer on the beach! Sun tan lotion, coconut and gardenia. Pairs pefectly with flip-flops, tankini, straw bag and floppy hat. If you want a more complex scent in this vein(and you like tuberose) try Guerlain’s Mahora if you can find it.

  26. :

It reminds me on tuberose, a little, very little bit on Fracas. Sweet, heavy in the opening, smells tropical, there is coconut noticeable. Poor staying power, in the drydown typical Yves Rochines body lotion base. It is special, because without
alcohol. That is great! I hate alcohol smell and for the skin is strong alcohol not healthy.

It smells like heaven. A scent so exotic and sexy!

I had this and I gave it to my mother-in-law. She finds it soft and pleasent, but I don’t like it too much. In fact, the scent it’s not that bad, it’s simple and sweet and I really like the coconut. What I dislike the most is the consistency: it’s very, very sticky, like a syrup, I hate it on my skin.

I bought the shampoo out of this series in 2009. I think it’s limited edition since I don’t see it in stores anymore. Anyway, I have to admit that the shampoo and perfume are the same scents, but.. the shampoo lasts waayy longer! I’m shocked! O_O I wash my hair with it and it smells like bubblegum for almost a week (OMG!!!) I love, love this smell – so girly, cheerful, flirty, giggly, charming and summery!! I feel like bubblegum girl (haha I’m the first one that has thought of that ;)) it’s weird that some really complicated smells i cannot stand, but this one – with only 2 notes – is greeat.. i use the shampoo when i want to feel like a girly girl :)) dee-licious, yum yum. :3

My mom uses the body oil, and I always have a headache when she’s around me then.
One night I had to say: Mom, please go out from the room because I can’t sleep smelling this. Awful disturbing aroma, I think it has cheap smelling, sun tan lotion smell with strong, disturbing floral notes and coconut, this mixture is horrible, with killer sillage. Very similar to Avon Tahitian Holiday, but stronger.

Ooooh I love this so much! I got two bottles of it so I can at least be secured for two summers. It may be a big bottle, but you have to spray a lot; the staying power is indeed not so good but everytime you have to spray it a lovely relaxing tropical summergarden releases… I layer it with the bodyoil and have the shampoo/douchegel too. It’s my childhood reminder of summer (my mother used the oil 13 years ago too), and as long as it will exsist I will always have something of the range…

I have this in the Body Oil form…same solution just shown here in a spray bottle. Wish I could get my hands on this spray version…would be less messy upon application. I love this scent! So summery…I layer Jovan Island Gardenia EDT spray over this body oil and it lasts all day when combined! The perfect combo for summer!

One of the most exotic smell ever !
Yes the lasting power is bad, but it is an alcohl free scent, and they did so on purpose then one can spray , and wear it even under the sun .
The problem with it i have noticed, is that it leaves the skin slightly sticky.
    Wonderful dreamy exotic smell however.

I had this as a free gift from YR several times. I found it to be a nice summer-spray but not really a perfume. It smells like sun on your skin combined with Coconut and Tiare Flower. The lasting power was not so good, so it was more like a body spray. I got fed up with it quite soon and gave the other bottles away.
