A gentle musky fragrance, perfectly unisex, that certainly evokes the mood of aged tapestry. Blended seamlessly as all Jul et Mads are, with warmth from nutmeg (which I thought was a light cinnamon), cut with a little green (coriander) and an acid (orange) – the rest melding into an ambery-wood-leather-musk that feels well rounded and complete. Reminiscent of my big night-time scents L’Incendiare and Absolue pour le Soir in vibe without being nearly as heavy, which makes it wearable around the clock and not only in winter.
On my skin this jumps quickly to the ambery-wood-musk base, but on fabric the green zing of coriander is much more noticable. It almost smells like two different scents!

Leather, coriander, oud.
I keep on detecting these 3 notes with also some soap factor within. It has musk, amber, and elemi, and something bitter and I believe it could be bitter orange and nutmeg blend.
I kind of liked it when I first sprayed it but later I don’t think it is that much of a blast as it became kind of more bitter coriander with huge doses of bitter leather. I don’t think it’s that much of love boost.

There is a hint of citrus as an undercurrent in the top and it goes on complete B.O. to me but then it develops into a lovely musk and amber. This is all musk in the middle and amber/ambergris in the base with a tiny flirt of leather to smooth it out.

Mon Seul Désir has a sharp citrusy-spicy opening that reminds of Dune by Christian Dior.
The evolution is more leathery, less floral, though there is still a salicylate floral facet like in Dune. It could have been called “Dune Cuir de Sable”.
It is also reminiscent of Lapsang souchong tea… a smoked tea with a slice of orange infused in it.
