Had the pleasure of getting a sample of Mon Numero 6 and testing it this morning. I noticed there were no reviews, so thought someone might appreciate it if I shared my impressions. 🙂
This is a really lovely, well-blended, and almost mellow/low-key scent — it’s a bit more than a skin-scent, but not brash or in-your-face, it’s considerate and fresh-faced. It makes me think of the gamine aesthetic, though not quite as refined as Audrey Hepburn. More like Audrey Tautou.
It starts off rather fresh and a bit sweet from the litchi and magnolia, with the sandalwood lying underneath. As it dries down, the sandalwood really blooms and melds with the litchi and magnolia. There starts to be a hint of green notes coming out too.
I thought it would wind up being one of those “dry” woody scents, but it’s not dry at all. On the dry-down, the sandalwood is only slightly dominant. And it is perfectly balanced with floral magnolia, watery/fruity litchi, and a touch of green. Really really lovely!
