Description

Mon Jasmin Noir is launched as the new version of the dark and mysterious Jasmin Noir perfume from the luxurious jewelry house of Bvlgari.

Mon Jasmin Noir is a luminous and seductive fragrant jewel of addictive floral composition. Modernity and sensuality of this fragrance is achieved by blending notes of lily of the valley, Sambac jasmine, musky nougatine and vibrant woods. The noses of the composition are Olivier Polge and Sophie Labbe.

The face of the “Mediterranean paradise” campaign is the 28 – year-old actress Kirsten Dunst, who began her career when she was 12 starring as the child vampire Claudia in “Interview with the Vampire”. The campaign shoot took place in the 16th century style garden of Villa Balbianello near Milan. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot photographed Kirsten with a huge lion. The Bvlgari jewelry adorned actress wears only a silk robe covering her privates.

The bottle is pearly white, decorated with a gold cap. Mon Jasmin Noir is available as Eau de Parfum in quantities of 25, 50 and 75 ml.

Mon Jasmin Noir was launched in 2011.

Minimal jasmine, sligthly plastic-y and quite sweet in an airy sort of way. The drydown is extremely similar to Hypnose Homme – some well oiled sweet musc/patchouli combo that is very pristine and clean in both. This one is sweeter; Lancome is woodier.
Surprised this was not a massive hit since the sweet in it is not some cheap or overbearing embarrassment of a candied monstrosity… quite elegant. Although given that this is an extremely dubious name, it is safe to say that this was bound to be a misfire from a marketing standpoint. Very little heady jasmine, nothing noir, yet quite sweet. And has nothing to do with the original licorice-almond heavy Jasmin Noir which again was also not ‘noir’ at all. Still, hardly a flanker.
    Gorgeous bottle as usual.

This fragrance is a hidden gem. Not too successful on the mass market it was already discontinued. It is slightly sweet in a modern way, mixed with classic notes such as lily of the valley and jasmine. All in all more of a quiet fragrance, it whispers class and good taste. Sophistication in a bottle!

This is not a positive review, but one that is intended to help prevent a blind-buy. ‘Cause, ya know, I myself had been circling this one for a few weeks.
I like Splendida Jasmine Noir very much but wanted something similar yet less powdery, and MJN seemed like an obvious option.
So glad I found this in person today, because it turns out it’s definitely not for everyone. Initially the scent was nice, not particularly distinctive. But, within only a few minutes, this actually turned into something I can best liken to (and I’m really sorry about this) body odor — and by this I mean *someone else’s* body odor. Not even mine. I had to scrub it, but that unpleasant musty tang is still lingering…
Though I’m not familiar with the scent of real jasmine flowers, I can share this in addition: yesterday I tested on my skin Tom Ford’s Jasmin Rouge, which provided me a glimpse of what smelled to be a very naturalistic, lush jasmine (to the point where it was too intense for me!). Bvlgari’s MJN jasmine note seems much paler and synthetic in comparison.
I’m disappointed that it wasn’t a win, but at least I can now cross this one off my list.

It comes in an extremely attractive bottle, but I don’t get much more than bitter citrus zest, patchouli and cedar from this perfume. There is an occasional, faint wisp of jasmine that could almost be described as pleasant, but it is so overpowered by the sharpness of the other notes that it is barely worth mentioning.
    No detectable nougat whatsoever.

Mon Jasmine Noir is subdued sophistication. Low key, chic and elegant. I don’t get much in the way of nougat after the first couple hours, it’s a very subtle creamy sweetness that I get from it, it’s there to soften and smooth the whole composition. If you are expecting nougat to be the star here, you are going to be sorely disappointed. But the citron stays with me throughout. It’s a clean, feminine scent, jasmine is pristine in this, and a bit powdery. I’m definitely getting that masculine vibe people are talking about, but I personally love it, it gives the scent a crisp, refreshing vibe reminiscent of 90’s scents. The far dry down reminds me of L’eau De Issey Pour Homme (which I used to obsess over when I was alot younger, so no complaints!), but softer and more delicate. I think it’s the citron + cedar + lily of the valley combination.
That doesn’t make this scent any less feminine though. Mon Jasmine Noir is definitely feminine! But more in a refined and minimalist sense; Think crisp white shirt, pencil skirt, sensually soft hair blowing in the breeze, a pair of diamond studs adorning her ears, and a gentle smile on her face. Perfect professional scent, or for day to day, first dates, church, family gatherings, semi-formal occasions, etc. It’s a solid all-rounder. More for spring and summer, or maybe early fall…it’s much too soft for cooler months I think. Sillage is moderate for the first 2-3 hours, then stays close to the skin. Lasting power is around 6-7 hours.

I meant to sample the “Exquise” and sprayed this abomination (with apologies to those who like the scent) on my arm instead. Some reviewers say it’s fleeting but, on me, I can’t sandpaper the stuff off. Smells like sweaty cardamom and heavy floral on me. Has a masculine vibe to it.

A bit masculine, I wish if it lasts more on my skin.

My mother gave me this as part of my Christmas present a few years back. I knew it wasn’t my thing, but I kept it in my collection and attempt to wear it from time to time. However, I know it’s never really going to “click” for me, because I find that it fits too neatly into the rest of the safe department store offerings that are all a variation on the same commercially accepted perfume ingredients that have been tested to death to ensure that a scent will sell: florals + fruit + patchouli + musk, you know the drill. It’s nice, but nothing at all exceptional.

I agree with cat woman it’s gone in a nano second ,very dissapointing ,unfortunately no trace of any fragrance on me even with Lashings of spray
As so many reviewers feel the love I feel it’s not for me 🙁 which is so sad as the pyramid profile enticed the buy .. oh well on to the next gorgeous frag , I will find my love eventually ….I’m thinking an old fashioned geurlain what do you guys recommend?
I am a fan of JHAG & Armani Prive all the roses

A fresh jasmine scent with something distinctly masculine about it. This would be excellent on a man, perhaps layered over a deep, dark Tom Ford scent. It seems to disappear within seconds, but it might be that my nose quickly becomes numb to it.

Stock yourself ladies – this beauty has been discontinued. Get it while it’s still for reasonable price. Soon it will be too expensive.

  12. :

This would be a pretty, romantic, sweet jasmine scent if not for the peppery note in it. On me it smells like black pepper. Not as light as I was expecting, and much more sweet. I gotta say I don’t hate it but it isn’t a love for me either. I keep this around to wear when I go to outdoor events in cooler months; the sillage and throw of this are huge on me and it quickly goes cloying on me in hot weather.

This perfume is my MOST FAVORITE to wear on a special day. Like a date or a wedding or something really special. This is the kind of smell you can not keep up with every day as it is very special perfume. You have to wear it sporadically to really enjoy its notes. Jasmin is mixed so well with woody and other notes and it doesn’t feel at all a floral regular type perfume. Too bad it is a very expensive perfume to wear it every day so I always kept it for some days special.

What a beautiful perfume. Jasmine plays a central role, but it’s gentle. It’s an elegant Jasmine. Nougat adds an interesting twist with a hint of sweetness but not in a strong gourmand way. It blends well and highlights the sweet chatachter of jasmine. The musk balances the sweet side and the woody chatachter gives an earthy feel. A bit of citrus adds sunshine. Perfectly crafted! Gorgeous bottle. It’s a real classic and has proven this over time. Other perfumes come and go, but I always come back to this one. It’s one of my favourite perfumes and it’s the best perfume made by Bvlgari in my opinion. Love!

A very sophisticated scent that is perfect for a confidant woman. The jasmine here is a sharp and fresh. I would highly recommend.

Mon jasmine noir is mostly nouget to me with a soft floral in the back ground that keeps it from being strictly gourmand, it reminds me of a summer vacation. It is very understated elegance with a little bit if mystery! And it also has a metallic twinge to it. I can’t quite place which note has this effect.
If you like this fragrance you should also try Lacoste Eau de Lacoste Sensuelle, it is also a floral nouget that is reminicent of summer nights.

Hmm, this is completely different from what I expected. I thought it would be almost Mugler Alien-ish with its sweetness, but it’s actually really not that sweet, at least according to my nose (although I am used to the sweetest of sweet). It has a melony/cucumber greenness to it, along with a jasminy freshness. It’s basically a light, only slightly sweet floral scent. I love the bottle though. It’s funny, I do agree with the people who say it smells like Fahrenheit (which sounds a little contradictory, but Fahrenheit smells a little cucumber melony to me as well).

Im getting so much pink pepper with this along with cedar and soft jasmine.
Something herbal and green too like tea leaves.
This is like a fresher, softer version of Si Lolita.
Its very interesting and classy smelling, it has soft projection too so you won’t offend with the scent.

honestly speaking, it is a very close to Elie Saab Le Parfum EDP and Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic, they have been composed with strong and rich jasmine, jasmine note is easy to identify and last longer amazingly, the difference is the level of woody vibe, Mon Jasmin Noir is very strong sweet flowery jasmine in the opening to the middle but the end it turns to patchouli woody vibe, no more feminine side, by the way, i love them because very good sillage and longevity
Bvlgari Mon Jasmin Noir – sweetness (Nougat)
Estee Lauder Modern Muse Chic – sweetness (plum and vanilla)
Elie Saab Le Parfum – sweetness (honey)

It’s funny I actually bought this perfume because I can barely be around Jasmine flowers as they’re so potently scented.
I went to a store, sprayed myself with it then immediately went home, thinking I could just wash it off if I hate it.
I not only didn’t hate it, I couldn’t stop smelling myself or thinking about it, so I went back the very next day and bought the whole bottle.
Now this is not my favorite scent, not even in my top ten, but I do love it and wear it occasionally.
It smells like summer nights and romance to me.

Powdery Jasmine, I guess.. and sweet!. Grand ma’ would like it. See review below “this fragrance morphs into something almost oppressively musky, with an appalling hint of wood pencil shavings” – So true!

  25. :

Jasmine, nougat and musk is apparently a beautiful combination. Billowy and enveloping but never heavy. Musky warm yet clean.

  26. :

    3 out of 5

I wanted to love Mon Jasmin Noir; I really did. But with my body chemistry, this fragrance morphs into something almost oppressively musky, with an appalling hint of wood pencil shavings. It’s quite disappointing; fortunately it also seems to be relatively short-lived.
Even in the bottle, MJN is at best an “interpretation” of jasmine — I have a(n insanely expensive, tiny) bottle of jasminum officinale absolute, and MJN is so completely UN-jasmine by comparison, it’s almost mind-boggling.
If you’re looking for an “interpretive” jasmine frag, MJN might work for you; if you want a true jasmine soliflore, Serge Lutens’ A La Nuit is a far superior choice.

  27. :

It’s non offensive and softly floral, later the jasmine becomes very prominent.
easy to wear perfume I feel

  28. :

I have a sample of this and am wearing it at the moment. I love it; it’s different from most other perfumes I’ve tried recently. Jasmine, definitely, and citron, with nougat and a hint of musk. It smells sophisticated, and sort of culinary, but clean. It makes me think of jasmine flowers and herbs. Not too flowery, not too woody – just right. If you like jasmine incense and essential oil, you’ll like this. It’s not an overpowering jasmine, but fresh and a little aromatic without being overly green. Sort of hard to describe! I think this is perfect for both springtime and autumn.

  29. :

    4 out of 5

Mon Jasmin noir EDP: you must must wait for the drydown. No, this is nothing like Jasmin Noir. And yes, this is “dirty Jasmin”. Like sniffing off a bottle of essential oil. Jasmin in its pure form is musty and heady. Hence, dirty. This actually captures that natural, dirty, musty Jasmin very well. I wear an essential oil Jasmin rollerball perfume, this is that, but less sharp, and blended well with complimentary notes. Jasmin as a note in perfume can be misleading, as I have smelled many a perfume claiming to be Jasmin, but when blended with other floral notes will linger freshly in the mix. Mon Jasmin noir is straight up dirty Jasmin. And I love it that way. Not a good blind but unless you are familiar with and want that raw oil Jasmin. This isn’t dark per say, but it’s definitely not fresh. I’d catagorize it as fleshy, sensual, musky. Dirty ain’t a bad thing lol. Especially when talking about Jasmin.

This reminds me of my April trip to Paris everytime I smell this. I did not wear this in Paris nor did I buy this in Paris, but somehow it does. I smell the wet concrete, the candy stands selling marshmallow treats and nougat, and the sweet smell of patchouli scented passerbys. There is something about this scent that strikes me as wet, cold, dirty, sweet, and oddly green. I almost shiver remembering being drenched to the bone one late April evening on the way to a fondue restaurant.
I think mon jasmin noir is a good fragrance for someone who likes sweet patchouli and earthy fragrances. I definitely think of rain when I smell it.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

The jasmine in this fragrance is very nice but the fragrance as a whole is what I would describe as cold.
I found that there isn’t any warmth to be found in it, which I find rather odd ?? Especially as you find jasmine in loads of floral fragrances I:e Beauty by Calvin Klein, J’adore by Dior, Full by Al Rehab, Cristalle by Chanel, Chanel N°5 Eau Premier, Mitsouko Eau de Toilette Guerlain and even when blended with citrus or as an aquatic like Acqua di Gioia Essenza Giorgio Armani it doesn’t make it this cold !!!!
I haven’t experienced the Nougat either which is a bit disappointing, so perhaps I should wait until the warmer weather with this one, but even then I wouldn’t say it my most favourite Jasmine offering, so we’ll see !!

I dont like the way the sweet notes (nougat) mix with the fresh lily, Jasmine and citrone. very screechy and disharmonious for my nose nad on my skin. pass

I read a lot of positive reviews, and I decided to make a blind buy. Unfortunately this perfume on my skin becomes horrible! It smells like incense, which I hate with all my heart! I’m really disappointed! 🙁
I gave my beautiful 25ml bottle to my mother, who adores it!

This is my second review, as when I did the first, I couldn’t quite come up with the right words to describe this fragrance. Initially, I compared it to room spray, and I was struck by the waxy candle smell of the citron and musky notes, which I found kind of off-putting. But then came the jasmine, my queen of the night. Only here, on my skin, it doesn’t have that pleasant indolic ripe-and-ready sort of smell. Here it’s clean and green, which wouldn’t be so bad except that it seems to clash a lot with the musk and nutty notes. It reminds me of an early-morning walk of shame, smelling of perfumed bug spray and wanting a shower. While it switches from whiff to whiff from that to a more pleasant skin scent, the jasmine here just smells synthetic to me, and the sweetness of the blend makes it cloying. I gave this juice several tries after blind-buying a small bottle at TJ Maxx, but sadly it just doesn’t work for me. Disappointing, because I love jasmine, but I think I’ve smelled much better representations elsewhere. I’ll probably decant the rest and give it away though. I’d hate to see it go to waste.

Loved this when I bought it but couldn’t remember why. As a result it’s been sat on a shelf for last 2 years, everytime I reach for it I’m put off by the smell out of the bottle. It’s kinda dirty musky but on the skin it’s very different. I put it on today after reading something about the citrus lemony smell which I didn’t recall at all. Well what a forgotten little treasure this is. First blast I get the lily and musk and I’m slightly put off but within minutes the jasmine comes through and yes I detect a sweet lemon, like lemon patisserie. After half an hour the smell mellows a lot and I catch gentle wafts of jasmin but it never feels too powdery or cloying as the green citrus vibe remains. This lasts 6-8hrs on me but only in the last dry down so I detect the musk and by then it’s soft and comforting rather than headache inducing as it can sometimes be.

I am super disappointed. I bought this one by mistake. I wanted Mon jasmin noir L’eau Exquis but due to the similarities in bottles I ended up with this one. At first I thought it was a fake perfume because I have smelled what fake is and it’s very similar. Then I saw that it is just a completely different perfume. This is the first Bvlgari fragrance I didn’t like. I can not smell anything fresh or sweet about it. It doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe the perfume I bought is not original but who knows. .. 🙁

I had such high hopes for this based on the notes, but it’s unfortunately pretty headache inducing for me. Quite sharp and insistent with the jasmine upon application. I do like the dry down, which is soft, sweet and nutty but by the time I get there I have SUCH a headache. I got a great deal on a purse spray, which is lovely and elegant. I will try again, as this seems like a perfume that should work for me, and see if I do better. Perfume is just so personal. I recommend getting a sample vial or testing in store before committing.

Ever have a perfume that is beautiful straight from the bottle, develops beautifully, and works with your chemistry; but upon wearing (and smelling wonderfully lovely) simply isn’t “you” and there’s not even a discernable reason why? That’s Mon Jasmin Noir for me; it isn’t “too” anything, there isn’t anything I wish it was more; it’s just, simply, “not me”. It opens with a fresh, bright citron. This citrus melts quickly into a vague, elusive sweetness that is building in and under the scent cloud. The scent cloud is Jasmine and starts out oh so creamy. The jasmine continues to play on center stage but the sweetness is still vague and building and it lingers just on the edge of cloying. The blending is incredible, these notes just flow into eachother, seamlessly. The development really starts to get going about half an hour after application. The sweetness clears and defines and comes more forward and becomes clearly a nougat, rich and creamy. The indoles of the jasmine appear and the musk warms up; this grounds and balances (and dirties) the sweetness somewhat. And the entirety coalesces into a SWEET jasmine musk. And it lasts for hours; arms reach sillage for a solid eight hours and I still easily smell it on my skin upwards of 18 hours after spraying. Yet, despite this great progression, and amazing performance on me it’s just not something I’ll wear.

This perfume stays an enigma to me. It smells heavenly on paper, very light, soft, jasmine-citrus-nougat together, not too sweet, very fresh. I sprayed it today on my wrist and it’s a disaster… All the notes together result in a cacophony and it doesn’t last at all. So sad.
I love this scent so much and yet it doesn’t work at all with my skin chemistry.

My sister got a bottle of this, found it too sweet (which stunned me, as she has a couple of super-sweet perfumes), so she gave it to me. It’s an interesting one. Going by the name, I was a bit wary as I was expecting an overly heavy jasmine. This is anything but – I suspect the jasmine sambac, which grounds it and stops it being cloying, which I think it would be if it was just jasmine with jasmine. When I first spray it on, I get an odd, boozy note along with the jasmine – kind of like the jasmine went out on the town and had a few too many drinks – but that quickly settles once it dries down. The musk and patchouli soften it, and then the lemon peeks out. The nougat is there in the background and adds a really interesting note. It’s classy, feminine, fresh, sweet but not too sweet – I love it.

Recieved it as a gift yesterday and It was totally differant from my imaginations,I expected bvlgari mon jasmin noir to be a summery clean fresh white floral scent with a green/citrus vibe but I’m really surprised to detect an oriental undertone here,I also find it good for springs and falls..it opens with jasmin and citron, not a juicy citrus opening which I expected,I find it totally dry,as time passes more sweetness and warmth is added,I don’t find musk,a white cold and clean one here,I find it warm and a little spicy,I also detect a nutty note and something like violet leaf which is not listed here and besides woodsy notes make me to think of it as a uni fragrance
It’s not a love for me but I find it much more interesting than original jasmin noir and I like it,stays very good on me with moderate sillage

  47. :

    5 out of 5

Starts with what I experience as an almost oily and intense floral quality, plummy and violet-like, but soon settles into a sophisticated woody musk with subtle nutty sweet tones, it lasts nicely too.
I didn’t like this at first try, but it grew on me when I got to know the dry-down. It’s a bit like a combo of Farenheit and Diorama – dark bitter notes against velvety animalic sambac jasmine, yet with a lighter touch than both.
I prefer this a lot to original Jasmin Noir, maybe it’s the fact there’s less patchouli, it’s less heavy.
Great for evening, it’s sensual but not too obvious, I think it’s ideal for a little black dress or cocktail dress. It’s nothing unusual or niche-like but compared to, for example, Tom Ford evening style perfumes I definitely prefer it, it doesn’t clout you over the head, but it’s very present, quite sophisticated though not old fashioned at all. Nice!

I have not smelled the original Jasmin Noir but I really wanted to like this one, and I do. On my skin, to my nose, it reads pure, straight up no-frills jasmine. I wish I would get more of the nougat though!

  49. :

    3 out of 5

Mon Jasmin Noir is the nicest of all the Bvlgari Jasmin perfumes for my money. It opens with a quintet of notes – the nougat, jasmine, lily, musk and patchouli (although the latter two are much fainter) but I can’t honestly say I detect any citron. As the perfume goes on, gradually the floral notes become less prominent and the base notes begin to come through and there is the tiniest touch of cedar which comes and goes like Willo-the-wisp. It’s a very slow and steady process of change but as Mon Jasmin Noir lasts for a long, long time, you have plenty of time to enjoy it, not least because it is beautifully balanced, poised almost, and blended very well.
I would say this is a colder weather perfume but I see no reason why you couldn’t wear it anytime of the day or night. It is a soft and gentle perfume. I think it’s the effect of the nougat that does that. Jasmine and lily can be a bit overpowering in the wrong quantities but MJN is so well put together that that problem never arises. It’s sophisticated, warm and elegant. One of Bvlgari’s best perfumes. Even the bottle is lovely.

This has been one of my favorites scents since I’ve discovered it. I’m a huge fan of the scent of Jasmine’s so naturally, I had to get my hands on this. This was a blind buy, as are many of my fragrance purchases. I usually have really good intuition as to what I like in fragrances. I am in LOVE with this fume. I can totally smell the jasmines, nougat, and musk, and all the other notes except that these are clearly the most prominent. This scent lasts a very long time on me. A good 8 hours. Most times more, sometimes less. I give this a 10/10. Will definitely purchase more of it in the future. Maybe even stock up! This is pure quality and elegance in a bottle.

I bought this at the airport in a hurry because it was on sale and I tought that it is more similar to Jasmin Noir. At first I liked it, got the nougat, but after few months trying there was always some sharp note. I don’t particulary like lilies. Could not wear it, and gave it away. I like my Jasmin Noir, but this is too much.

I have had the exact same experience as SwampLily. My tester of this fragrance smells predominantly of citrus: yuzu/citron. Now I have the full size EDP which is all jasmine and musk. Not unpleasant but unlike what I was looking for. I’ve had one on each wrist to compare–they really are different. The citrus forward Mon Jasmin Noir is really great. SwampLily reports that hers is an EDT. (Mine was a sample made in store.)
Where is the lovely EDT of this??

Picked up a small bottle of this today and it smells like a softer version of Balenciaga Paris – which I love and have 2 bottles of lol. It doesn’t have the wow factor for me like BP does but it’s a nice scent.

This is the best perfume I have ever smelled. It is clean but I feel a little hint of sweetness, it is floral but accompanied by the musk. Mon Jasmin Noir is a little jewel with a beautiul sparkle. My eternal love.

  55. :

Dirty nauseating musk, when as a second note Jasmine come in, making it more palatable and beautiful, musk gradually disappear, still lingering… There is something medicinal there, probably cedar, and very weak lily of the valley. Not my top choice. Not my choice at all. Too heavy at the beginning, so -so in the middle, don’t really expct it getting better.

I’m reading Chandler Burr’s The Perfect Scent ‘a year inside the perfume industry’ and he reports how fragrances are sold on hype which pretends to reflect the consumers’ dreams but actually just attempts to exploit the infantile impulses of shoppers (we are all supposed to be like infants not mature people and assumed to be robotically programmed to slavishly obey our impulses, so my doctorate is just a joke huh?!?) I guess that means an industry quickly reaches the lowest level – sex for sale or violence.
Thus far they try to sell perfumes as ‘sex in bottles’. I predict they will next try to sell violence. Lots of fragrance hype references S&M sex. After you dump the sex because it no longer sells to a jaded public in a saturated market all you can offer is a fragrance that satisfies infantile violent, murderous impulses. I predict perfume ads that feature bleeding beef steaks, pools of blood red paint, red silk flowing like cut arteries… ‘Animalic’ will stop being code for bodily secretions/skin/surfaces and start meaning blood/viscera/evisceration. Smell like a battle ground, emergency ward or menstruation.
Only after they exhaust this deepest pit of crassness will the industry make the effort to create a new paradigm, maybe even one that treats perfume buyers as cultured people…

“The Bvlgari jewelry adorned actress wears only a silk robe covering her privates.”
Umm, seriously?? The elegant bottle is really tempting but the mixed reviews and that line of advertising is really putting me off. I understand that “sex sells” but as a modern intelligent woman I am just really getting turned off by the seemingly endless parade of overly glossed, airbrushed naked woman clutching perfume flancons with “do me” expressions. It really seems to me like Bvlgari is appealing to men more than woman with this one, “only a silk robe covering her privates?” Are you kidding me? I know I’m probably going to get downvoted for saying this, but I am just so tired of perfume ads/copy resembling something out of a porno shoot. Just no.
And while jasmine is actually one of my favorite notes in purfumery, as well as honey (making me initially curious about this scent and its flanker, Mon Jasmin Noir Elixar) I already have a gorgeous perfume that is one of my absolute favorites that contains both those notes: Armani Code. Beautiful, long lasting perfume and Armani managed it without some basically naked writhing woman in the advertisements. I am kind of disappointed in Kirstin Dunst for doing these ads, actually. And the fact that they listed her as “starting her career with Interview with a Vampire” a bit odd, as she was a child when she did that film (which is actually a favorite of mine.) I just find it strange they didn’t mention any of her recent work, which may be saying something. Its almost like she is copying Miley Cyrus in these adverts, trying to shed some “good girl” image by pulling out the slut effect, which makes the fact they only mention her “Interview” role even more bizzare, especially as these adverts seem to shout “Look at me! I’m a grown up sexual being!” The fact that I see so many celebs do this by appearing basically naked in ads or on TV just always rubbed me the wrong way, honestly. For me, there is nothing sexier than a well dressed lady with a bit of class. (I adore the vintage look, corsets and stockings, or silk dresses, yes….(I personally adore my sweetheart cut 1940’s style circle skirted dress by Tara Starlet) but “silk robe barely covering genitalia?” No, no, no.
Ad that to the mixed reviews and how much this is discounted on ebay also gives off a bad vibe….originally an over $100 perfume, you can get this for $30 or less now, which is making me think overstock…its funny, my Armani code retails for less but sells for more, but there you go. Unless I come across this in a sample or test, I think I’m going to have to pass on this, despite the gorgeous flancon….it really is a shame. But there are just so many perfumes with beautiful scents AND advertisements that don’t give me the heebie-jeebies. Even Bvlgari’s “Omnia” range comes to mind, and that scent looks more interesting too….of course its discontinued now, yet this one remains (though by how cheap you can get it online, I’m betting not for long.)

I adore this. Dirty musk, jasmine and sweet nutty nougat. I don’t get notable citrus after the first 5 minutes. The dry down is an exquisite sweet floral musk, so lovely.

I have a mini Mon Jasmin Noir and have previously written a review stating that this fresh citrusy scent had quickly become one of my favourites but was not really strong on the Jasmin at all. Today I bought a larger bottle, spritzed when I got home and what did I get?!
Indolic Jasmine!! Uggh!/&&@$; now should I complain when a perfume named Mon JASMIN Noir smells so strongly of Jasmin? YeS yes … as the mini smells so markedly different So, I checked my mini, bought from a reputable source as part of a Bvlgari set and it says ‘edt’ on the label underneath. I checked my new bottle and the box it came in and it is clearly Eau de Parfum. So I did not buy what I thought I was buying and I did not think to check but nowhere on the internet including here on Fragrantica do I see the existence of an edt. I do not believe that either of my fragrances are fakes. I want the edt. Seriously Bvlgari, if you present a fragrance in one of your sets please make It available separately for your buyers.
