Description

Designer Marc Jacobs, inspired by the 60s fashion called “Mod” and black and white stripes, launches his new fragrance in 2015 called Mod Noir. Because he had successfully launched his makeup line in collaboration with Sephora, this new fragrance will be a Sephora exclusive. The new perfume is created in a chic, modern, bold and unique spirit; playing a parallel between classic simplicity and contemporary sophistication.

Mod Noir is an airy gardenia scent (the favorite flower of the designer) developed by Jean-Claude Delville. Its floral-musky composition opens with dewy greens that are enhanced with citrusy nuances of clementine and yuzu. The heart captures fresh gardenia petals enhanced with white flowers such as magnolia, water lily and tuberose. The base reveals notes of creamy musk, sensual and long-lasting, and an unusual combination of orange blossom and nectarine that leave a delicate floral-fruity trail.

he bottle and the packaging is designed by Established company from New York, with graphic black and white stripes. The lacquered surface of the bottle makes the contrast with opaque glass that reveals the fluid. The stopper is large and round.

The fragrance is available as 10, 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum.

Its nice gardenia scent, but somewhere there is too much of that note. I do not know if its creaminess or its thickness, one note strongly hits the nose.
But permanent. I do not recommend blind buy and I do not recommend it for the summer.
Besides that I recommend for those who love gardenia.

Mod Noir by Marc Jacobs is a Sephora exclusive, packaged in Sephora’s signature black and white stripes. As a lover of white florals, I was very much looking forward to testing Mod Noir, especially seeing that it’s commonly mentioned as a replacement for the now discontinued Marc Jacobs for Women.
Sadly I don’t find Mod Noir quite as wearable as Marc Jacobs for Women. Gardenia is the main accord in this composition, however, there are additional fruity notes added to aid it in appealing to the masses. Unfortunately Mod Noir does not mesh so well with my chemistry and actually turns quite cheap and synthetic on my skin.
It smells more fruity and clean, like a bottle of shampoo rather than creamy and floral like the original Marc Jacobs for Women. If you adore white florals, I feel as if this fragrance won’t appeal to you. Mod Noir wears more like a fruity floral on my skin.
I can’t hide my disappointment and in turn, my feelings have lead to a less than favourable review of Mod Noir. Marc Jacobs, has (in my humble opinion), discontinued any fragrance of theirs that had any merit. I wish I could see the return of Marc Jacobs for Women, Blush, Bang and their extensive ‘Splash’ collection. The brand doesn’t quite feel the same anymore.
On a more pleasing note, Mod Noir does have excellent longevity and sillage. It’s just a shame that I find the scent hard to tolerate.

Project samples b gone… I like it more than most MJ fragrances, but it’s not one I will purchase. It’s a pretty enough gardenia, fresh and dewy. Just nothing special. I’ll use up the sample as a “nice for running errands” scent and probably never think of this one again.

At first I hated it because the name had me expecting a unisex scent that would remind me of poetry and Edith Piaf. Starving French artist and their muses. Instead this fragrance is very feminine, innocent young bride on the first day of spring.
Nice light fresh white floral with green overtones, think white picket fence, 2 and 1/2 kids plus a dog, perfect for PTA meetings or church bazaars.. 1950s Mrs Cleaver

    nothing ‘noir’ about it.

    sample lasting 4 days.
can’t get rid of it Fast
    enough! don’t wanna
    respray it throughout
    the day or anything…
    bc I am embarrassed
    to even have this on..

You definitely have to be a gardenia lover to enjoy this perfume. On first spray I thought I had found my perfect gardenia perfume–it’s slightly green yet creamy and beautiful. However this phase lasts less than 30 minutes before it starts to turn more and more soapy, and less and less enjoyable (at least for me). Overall, it’s too generic and uninteresting to justify the price. And there’s absolutely nothing “noir” about this perfume. Great bottle, though!

  7. :

    3 out of 5

Mod Noir by Marc Jacobs really is not “noir” at all because this fragrance is an aquatic green gardenia. I smell dewy grass, crisp green leaves, fresh gardenia petals that have been mellowed out by the water lily, and a light hint of tuberose. I love this fragrance because it is such a light and fresh floral. It draws compliments and is great for everyday wear. The bottle is darling!

Smells just kind of generically…good? Like Fruit Stripe gum, which is a nice smell, but much like the gum the pleasure is fleeting. It fades quickly. All in all it’s a typical mainstream dewy floral, nothing special. Pretty much what I’ve come to expect from Marc Jacobs. I could wear it, but I could definitely go without it as well.

If you sort of like this but also want to smell like an adult woman, I recommend Parfums 06130 Lys. Similar notes, somewhat less sweet, with a more compelling base. Also, Lys has easily twice the longevity.

I looove it, the creamy gardenia smells delicious but unfortunately doesnt last on me. Too expensive and only lasted me 2 months.

I can take it or leave it, really. Hello, citrus! It seemed like it was going to be too strong at first, but the dry-down softened it up after an hour. The green and floral aspect shine through after several hours…it’s mostly citrus and peppery while I wait for it to chill out.

  12. :

If white florals give you a headache, you may want to steer clear of this one.
    Because HELLO GARDENIA!
Honestly, I smelled nothing else in this fragrance… just the exact scent of a gardenia bush an hour or so after a rain storm.
    Wet, heady gardenia.
    Period.
    GORGEOUS!
It didn’t last terribly long on me but wowzers… I’m certain that if you love the smell of gardenias, you’ll love this one.
Because most people here in south eastern part of the US are pretty accustomed to smelling gardenia (and many other fragrant flowers that grow well in subtropical climates), people tend to like the smell of gardenias in moderation (maybe I should have made that all caps: IN MODERATION! (grin)) so I suspect that this fragrance could be office-friendly IF you use a light hand.
    TL;DR?
    *** Ok… short version: ***
    * Scent: beautiful wet gardenia
    * Headache factor: 7/10 (above average likelihood)
    * Office friendliness: 5/10 (proceed with caution)
I hope this helps… happy sniffing!

Love.Love.I can’t wait for the summer to use again my Mod Noir. Our adventure- me and Mod Noir- started on a hot warmy spring day.I was looking for a purse perfume and entered Sephora. One nice girl showed me the rollerball of Mod Noir.I smell it and bought it all the way without thinking.it smelled so good,so summery.Never have tried an Marc Jacobs perfume but this one just got me.It has poor longevity but I can always use more because it is creamy and fresh. It has enought gardenia to smell nice, bold and modern.A pretty white floral for warm weather wear.

What makes me enthusiastic to try this is the Nose behind it, he created Cabotine, and this is enough attractor to most Parfumistas. Regarding the marketing plan, I think it is successful in the name and bottle design matter, but the only wrong thing here in my modest oppenion is the juice itself. As a lot of us (Fragranticans) know, white florals perfumes were a mark of the early 50’s, not Mod 60’s, as they were more dirty/earthy/patchouli noted. But if we will think another way, we might imagine this classy, chic lady who spent most of her early youth during the 50’s, arrived in the Mod 60’s era, and she feels more comfortable wearing somthing familiar to her, and it will be Gardenia and white florals,, despite that she is very trendy in outfit wise, and she is wearing the new TREND of only white and black stuff…..
But again, what really grap my attention to test this is only the person who created it, as he done a lot of POWERHOUSES already.

You might not like it, but I wouldnt say to readers here to avoid such a fresh pretty scent!? Mod Noir is very classy, chic, urban summery floral, it is exactly that, a nice fresh floral , smells good, has nice longevity…unlike most Marc Jacobs that are very flloral, Mod Noir is fresher, overall easy to wear…the tuberose isn’t overdose, just blended in nicely with the orange blossom, surrounded in a dewy undertone…lovely !!
Of course if you aren’t a fan of florals, it won’t work as well for you .

I got a sample of this recently with a Sephora order, and I generally love Marc Jacobs fragrances, so I figured this would be great too. I sprayed it on, and it’s a confusing, synthetic, mess. Are you a floral? Are you fruity? Are you watery? The notes clash, and you end up with a cheap smelling fragrance that closely resembles one of those Mr. Sketch scented markers that we would all huff in grade school. Avoid this one at all costs. If you want a beautiful, well-crafted gardenia fragrance go with Marc Jacobs (women) EDP by Marc Jacobs in the classy rectangular bottle.

VERY Tuvache Jungle Gardenia…it doesn’t connote 1960s “Mod” to me, at all. This is the scent of ’50s icons like Elizabeth Taylor and Natalie Wood…or 1980s Jovan Island Gardenia. Cute bottle.

  18. :

    5 out of 5

This scent is absolutely perfect, the packaging is spot on and it is the first scent by Marc Jacobs that I have ever been impressed by, let alone thought was worth anything at all. It smells exactly the way I would imagine a Mod-style woman from the 60s would smell – a simple and pretty floral. The packaging fits it perfectly. It is so well blended that it smells like it has just a few notes, but I do NOT find it lack luster. It’s gorgeous! This is one of those perfumes that is beautifully combined to create the illusion of just a few notes, rather than a hoard of notes that happen to smell good together.
Now I would never wear this, it’s not my kind of scent, but it is like a breath of fresh air and for that, I appreciate it. I couldn’t call this boring in any way, and it surely will be a treasure for those looking for a simple, beautiful, well blended white floral.

This didn’t work out well for me. I got a sample from sephora and after a quick glance from the notes on here I sprayed one spray on my wrist, i got about 15 minutes in and as soon as I’m done here I’m gonna scrub it off. It’s so nails-on-a-chalkboard sharp. Straight gardenia. Definitely radiates far from the skin because even now as I type this with my wrists almost arms length away I can smell it. If you like super clean gardenia scents I’d go for it.

  20. :

    4 out of 5

I didn’t like this at first, as I was expecting more of a typical gardenia, but this grew on me. It really is beautiful. You can really smell the juicy clementine/mandarin at first, and the flowers start blooming in the heart. The mixture of floral notes smells like something resembling honeysuckle to me. It’s watery, fresh, green, and clear. I imagine a small fairy, dancing through blades of grass, being seen through droplets of water. There’s definitely waterlily in here, perhaps a bit of tuberose (lightly), but the other flowers are not so distinctive. Overall, the mix is refreshing and perfect for spring/summer, I would say. A happy scent 🙂

  21. :

    3 out of 5

Hello, gardenia and TUBEROSE! Those two notes are what I got from this fragrance, especially the tuberose, all day long, and that’s about it, although they are notes I enjoy so I didn’t necessarily mind that the fragrance is not particularly complex. I was happy with the longevity as well. I did think the name was misleading–I expected something called Mod Noir to be a bit more chic/evening, but this turned out to be a polite little white floral I would be more inclined to wear to church or a family gathering.

  22. :

This was a scrubber for me. It had a harsh cleaning product like odor I hoped would fade in the dry down, but it just kept getting worse. Nauseating. Maybe it just didn’t agree with my body chemistry because from the reviews it seems some people did find the fragrance pleasant and not like wearing Simple Green.

  23. :

    5 out of 5

Something about this I really disliked. Kind of nauseating to me. Can’t pick out what it is though. The scents don’t seem to blend well together, seems off. Ended up being a scrubber for me. Oh well! Happy smelling! 🙂

Not Bad, but not good enough to buy.
Thanks to Sephora I got a 0.33 oz. eau de parfum rollerball free (with points). I liked the notes so I figured why not? The opening got me excited ~ it was reminiscent of Tocca’s Florence ~ fat, waxy gardenia, and sweet honeysuckle. Come Spring this could be an all-purpose; daytime; fragrance; I thought. Next the green note came; freshly shampooed hair and watery (cucumber?) Then; as it was born to do, it streamlined into place in that ever growing sweet/aquatic category which encompasses every magazine test strip you’ve ever smelled. It could be nice on a young teen.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I do agree with cakesncuddles that it was overpriced. $70 for 1.7 oz? that’s WAY overpriced for what it is

  26. :

    5 out of 5

Cheap at manufacturing, expensive to buy. This applies to the majority of MJ fragrances. This one is soft, floraly-fresh, weak in longevity, stays close to skin.
    Big dissapointment.

  27. :

    4 out of 5

I am surprised that so many comparing it to original MJ because it doesn’t smell that way at all. Neither does it smell like Hollywood which is sweet fresh gardenia scent.
In my opinion bottle doesn’t match the scent-bottle is sort of mod and minimalistic but scent is anything but. you know how you see a picture of someone and form an opinion about what type of person that is? and then you meet him/her and you are shocked to find out that they are nothing like what you imagined?
that’s how I felt about this scent. I imagined something citrusy, cold and clinical. Not sure why.
What I got was watery gardenia which was interlayered with coconut notes(or at least what smelled like coconut since there is no such thing in this scent”
People to compared it to gardenia scent from Pacifica are definitely close to what it smells like.
I am picturing Tahiti, coconut drink and local women with gardenia flowers in their hair.
I know MJ has sort of quirky style but I never liked his bottles and this one no different. But I really like the scent

  28. :

My god! I love the opening! Tuberose often puts me off, but this is gorgeous. Can’t stop sniffing. Going on my wishlist.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

As soon as I sprayed and smelled I wanted to wash it off. A big hit of green and gardenia, very confusing. next comes the citrus, cutting the too strong blast I started with. Smells like a shampoo or detergent to me. But the gardenia stays forever. Not a fan.

  30. :

    4 out of 5

I can’t claim how many “white floral” notes are in this, but I can say it’s a safe “White floral” fragrance for those like myself who typically DON’T like that type of scent. It’s a very pleasant, safe, non-heady blend.
The opening is primarily gardenia (Soft, creamy, not sharp, for a change!), and multiple hints of sweet, honey’d fruits. There’s a genuine shampoo-like quality here, evoking a clean and calm feeling. Something sophisticated, but still somewhat youthful in emotion.
The drydown brings around some more greenness, and overall this doesn’t jump forward as a “unique” scent at all – more of the “magazine scent flap” variety.
I would say that most people will find this inoffensive and pleasant, including myself – and It’s definitely very difficult to find ANY scent containing white florals that I will wear, and enjoy!

  31. :

    5 out of 5

I really love gardenia, but it can be a tricky thing. It’s so rich and heady that it can be sickening and headache inducing. I tend to shy away from gardenia perfumes just because of how strong they are. This one is decent for the fact that the gardenia is solidly present, but the green softens it to an extent. The smell didn’t turn on me (which shocked me), and the longevity was decent.
Unfortunately, this just wasn’t…full enough or creamy enough for me. I started to get more and more of the green as the day went on and not enough of that yummy gardenia, and I felt like this was another “superficial” perfume that sat ON my skin and didn’t ever deepen and mesh with my skin. I wanted to like it, and I didn’t detest it, but I was bored by it.

  32. :

    4 out of 5

It’s a pleasant scent, but so translucent. It has a soft sillage and poor longevity. It’s nice for spring and softly green. The bottle is pleasant.

  33. :

    3 out of 5

I received a sample from Sephora and though I do love Marc Jacobs and his bottle designs, the juices from DOT, Honey, Daisy, Lola, etc., all have the exact dry down, to my nose. Mod Noir smelled just like them. They do however, open differently and are still each pretty, but still the same smell in the end. I didn’t detect anything very “Noir” about this fragrance, compared to other Noir perfumes. This would be nice for someone who didn’t have all of his other perfumes I mentioned, like a “starter” Marc Jacobs 🙂

  34. :

    4 out of 5

    Mostly musk. Where’s the freesia?

  35. :

    4 out of 5

Not sure I get the “Mod Noir” name as there’s nothing unique or dark about this perfume at all. I can see how others might find this similar to the original Marc Jacobs fragrance, but to my nose Mod Noir is creamier and the the green/citrus notes are less noticible. Mod Noir definitely isn’t so watery either, and has none of the sourness. Thouh I don’t feel this is different enough from other gardenia/tuberose/white florals to warrant it’s expensive price tag, it’s very pleasant, feminine, and inoffensive. The longevity and sillage aren’t great either, but I’ve noticed it lasts well on clothing. I’m kind of on the fence about whether or not I’m going to buy a full bottle. I definitely like it, and it’s lovely for daytime wear. I’m just confident I can find something similar at a more reasonable price.
Edit: The annual Sephora sale combined with a reasonably priced gift set convinced me to take the plunge. Not even a little bit sorry 😉

  36. :

    4 out of 5

Agree this could be a flanker to the original Marc Jacobs scent, which i love/loved (don’t have it anymore).
Mod Noir is okay, although seriously nothing mod or noir about it. The bottle is fine, the scent is fine, but something about it repels me when I get my nose close to the application spot.
Wait, i just figured it out! There’s a salty musk accord that bothers me. Must be my chemistry, but it is definitely not working foe me.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

Not at all a departure from Marc Jacobs other fragrances. A nice watery white floral. With the cool name, bottle and marketing I was expecting something totally different, especially with Noir in the name. Nothing Noir about this one. Could easily be a flanker of the original Marc Jacobs. Not good, not bad just meh.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Nice white floral, but smells like a lot other smells that I already have. I would not spend money on this until other bottles are gone.
Edit: It seems as though I’ve reached the end of the scent. It lasts about 3 hours on my skin. Not worth it at all.
    Keep shining, you beautiful people!

  39. :

    5 out of 5

What this ends of smelling like the water in a vase of flowers that have been standing in hot weather for a few days. Really watery green scent layered over too warm white florals that ultimately leans toward smelling generic. The first few seconds is where you can really smell a semblance to a real flower. It disappears rather quickly and you’re left with the scent of too old flower water that overpowers the white floral underneath. White florals are my favorite types of floral notes, but I can’t really distinguish any of the them separately in this, just smells like a sort of generic white floral with that too watery greenness. Fades really quickly. Can barely smell it after an hour.

  40. :

    5 out of 5

I smell a creamy, not very unique, but still beautiful tuberose. I find it more suitable for a summer night, so this is how I justify the “noir”. And now, ok be polite,I need a feed back on this, it reminds me of L’artisan nuit de tubereuse, from what I can remember.

  41. :

    5 out of 5

Well I personally really like Mod Noir! It starts off very floral, but not sharp, it is more a fresh floral, zesty at the same time, the dry down is more a true Marc Jacobs typical gardenia scent, still, I was very tempted to buy it, but the 30 ml was gone.
It is stylish, pretty, kind of Parisian chic, so the name suits the fragrance quite well..I detect the mandarine , it gives it that fresh dewy effect, not much tuberose to my nose though..just nicely done.
    Lovely!!

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Tried this on today. Although it is, I agree, easily forgettable and unoriginal, it’s also very wearable. A simple, soft, clean scent that doesn’t go funky with your body chemistry. I definitely don’t hate it and would wear it if I had it. It just isn’t special enough for me to want to buy a bottle. It’s a “Like” for this one.

  43. :

    4 out of 5

Didn’t try it, but from notes description it sounds like has nothing to do with 60’s perfumes trend.

  44. :

    3 out of 5

Boy where to start, Alright first off as most commented there is nothing really ‘Noir’ about this scent so why the noir tag is beyond me, if anything Mod ‘Chic’ is more fitting in my eyes. This pretty much is a bright white floral very heady with the Gardenia, agreed it favors the original Marc Jacobs. It’s a shame really b/c the packaging & bottle are stunning, but the scent was a bit of a tosser, sorry can’t vouch much for longevity or sillage as to not caring much for it to spritz on. Will say if you’re a fan of the original MJ you will probably most likely enjoy this, it’s not a terrible scent just nothing revolutionary, I could also see this being maybe a nice scent for your wedding day, try it out, spotted it at Sephora. 🙂

  45. :

    5 out of 5

I was really amazed by the look of the bottle and the box, very refined but at the same time young and catchy.
unfortunately the scent is really average.
a fresh citrusy debut with a very intensive green note, that after few minutes turns into a white flower bouquet very linear and not particularly original (actually I smell also an ash note that is not so clean and pleasant).
not a bad perfume but actually easily forgettable.

  46. :

    3 out of 5

Is really disturbing see how a perfum can just be released to a only single store. Walking through sephora I find out that every 5 steps there was a sale section promoting the fragrance… so I decide to try it.
The 3 first seconds are pure heaven…delicious gardenia with a blast of green notes and musk….
    But that was just 3-seconds…
Suddenly appears a EGG smell… yes EGG… nasty and disgusting…my best friend said that smell like a bakery washing machine…but at the same time there’s some resemble of the first original Marc Jacobs fragrance.
The lasting power is ridiculous short….it.las.on my like 45 minutes and the sillage is close to the skin…office safe…

  47. :

I love that bottle. Makes me want to try it. The power of suggestion eh!?

  48. :

    3 out of 5

I grabbed a rollerball as an impulse buy a couple weeks ago at Sephora. I do like the white floral citrus combination scent, but it really fades VERY fast. I’m glad I bought the rollerball, because I’m absolutely going to have to keep it in my purse. Usually the bf comments when I’m wearing a new scent, but this didn’t even get a reaction. So that’s 2 strikes against it. On the positive side, this is a nice summer floral frag, not too strong, and not really generic either. I really love orange blossom, and the musk isn’t too overpowering. It’s mellow, at least on my skin. I’m not getting any sharp notes, just soft floral.

  49. :

    5 out of 5

I do wonder if I smelt the same fragrance as everyone else, as I get totally different things than other reviewers.
I get coconut and ylang ylang (maybe tiare, even?), and thick white florals. The sensation is a bit oily, and heavy, but tropical all the same. It reminded me of Bronze Goddess. Anyone else tried this to chime in and say what they are smelling?

  50. :

    5 out of 5

Nice fragrance, very chic, but something bothers me, it might be as usual – tuberose. What a shame. Bottle is ingenious!

  51. :

    4 out of 5

Lovely! Gardenia is one note I detest because it usually reminds me of air freshener. The gardenia in Mod is really nice – fresh, dewy, and nothing remotely like air freshener. The gardenia opening is short lived and quickly turns to a rich, tropical tuberose. I would say Mod is mainly a tuberose fragrance.

  52. :

    3 out of 5

Identical to the original Marc Jacobs with shorter wear time

  53. :

    4 out of 5

I have to agree with Roxana D. When first applied, this fragrance seemed like a winner for me. I loved the green citrusy top notes with white florals coming through after about 15 minutes. Unfortunately it went from being hard to stop myself from smelling it to hard to smell at all within about 2 hours. I got a barely perceptible white floral/musk mix at the end, very much a skin scent at that point. It was quite disappointing, as this fragrance seemed to have everything I was looking for in a summer scent. If you have a lot of money to burn and don’t mind the longevity concerns or wish to layer this scent, this might be a good fit for you.
Edit: I still find myself craving this from time to time, despite it’s poor lasting power. As of July 15, Sephora is offering this as a point reward, so I think I’ll pick one up to have it on hand.

  54. :

    4 out of 5

When I first smelled this I was really delighted to discover such a fresh and citrusy fragrance, but, few hours later I can only smell the tuberose…I feel like I have a huge vase of tuberoses right on my desk. Not really up my alley; wouldn’t buy it.

  55. :

    5 out of 5

I was so excited about this fragrance when I heard about it. I am a fan of anything with gardenia in it, and this is no exception. It is very well balanced, and sits nice and close to the skin, which I happen to like. The gardenia is the star of the show here, but it is really emphasized by some of the other elements, like the musks, tuberose, and green notes. This gardenia is warmer than some other gardenia-based fragrances. I feel like this is a unique fragrance for such a mainstream brand to release, so I am very impressed. I also have to say that, on me at least, the staying power is great. I put the rollerball on around 11 am this morning, and it’s over 12 hours later, and I can still smell it on my wrist. All in all, this is a great new release from Marc Jacobs, and I have a feeling this just might become one of my signature fragrances.

I was able to sniff this today at Sephora – the manager went to the back and brought out the tester for me to spray. I really love the bottle and couldn’t wait to see what the perfume smelled like.
Well, I still like the bottle.
The perfume opened, with a wonderful, joyous burst of licorice and, I think, tuberose. I love this opening, it’s so chancey and surprising in a mainstream brand. I urge you to go to Sephora to try it just to enjoy the first sniff of this.
But it only lasted a few minutes and then a generic green, rooty scent emerged. I do like a lot of green scents, but not the rooty type – this must be the yuzu. At some point I think the perfume became as bored as I was with it, and just shrugged and gave up. Neither of us looked back.
But lord, I still love that bottle!

I received this just the other day after ordering it from Sephora. All the notes are right up my alley. This is a really light fragrance with light/medium staying power, but I think the clean fresh scent makes up for it. This is perfect for spring and summer months. I don’t really get the “noir” aspect of it as it is so light and airy. I believe the green and yuzu notes are what make up the “clean” scent of it and they blend well with the floral. The tuberose and gardenia blend together harmoniously and are accented nicely by the orange blossom. I don’t pick up much of the nectarine or musk scent at all. If you like some of the Daisy perfumes I believe this one will be right up your alley as well.
