Description

The first fragrance from the fashion house of Miu Miu, Miu Miu Eau de Parfum, was launched in the summer of 2015. Its fresh interpretation comes in February 2017 as Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue. The new edition is announced as a light, fresh and happy scent of spring awakening and the fragrance of new beginnings.

Like the original, the new composition was also developed by perfumer Daniela (Roche) Andrier. Spring flowers of lily of the valley in the top go into the heart of green notes and white flowers covered with morning dew. An akigalawood accord, a molecule developed by Givaudan which smells of patchouli, peppery notes and woody flavors of oud, forms the base of the perfume.

The chic turquoise perfume bottle is transparent this time, while the plastic cap is colored in a soft yellow shade. The fragrance is available as a 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum. Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue was launched in 2016.

very green and sharp with almost a peppery quality and also a sweetness to the floral; for me, the green is dominant in this fragrance with the LOTV very interpretive and not typical mixed with some rose but again both are interpretations, not actual fragrance

Bought this some time ago basically because of the cute bottle , I don’t mind the smell with it’s fresh and dewy facets , I also have the original but again for the even better bottle. Now there is a new one which is my favorite yet.,, for the smell ,However all of them I want to like but do not. Like many other reviews state it already ,it’s all about pepper. Too much peeper!! My husband dispises this perfume ,he says all he smells is pepper and sadly all the other ones , even the new one to him is still too much pepper.
I personally don’t hate the pepper smell but cannot love it either. It’s all about Lilly of The Valley and ,,,,pepper ! My favorite nose , Danila Andrier ,did not hit the spot here.

It could be nice if not that overdosed pepper

This is my second review. The fist was done after wearing a sample for a few hours. Well, my goodness, every company and their mother kept sending me new samples of this fragrance! I now have six, so I decided to try again in the deep heat of summer and wear one for several days. After all, I didn’t hate it, I just was fence-sitting.
This time, my experience is different. I find this perfume so lovely that I can’t believe I was ever feeling meh about it. The lilies to start off are beautiful, like a charming six year old in an Easter dress. It becomes very green, very quickly, maturing in a beautiful, delicate way, reminiscent of a Monet painting. The scent lays softly on the skin, demure and feminine. The woods accord, developed by the company, works here, adding to and deepening the scent. This has become my perfect light summer fragrance. Wear it out in the heat and people who smell you will enjoy the cool mist of your floral aura. While I would wear it at night, I do find that it works well for day. This is also a scent that is office appropriate.
Indeed, I intend to buy the gorgeous bottle before the summers heat ends. I always wanted the bottle, but not enough to buy a juice I thought was bland. Well, this proves the weather plays a role in how we experience many fragrances.
Perfume companies should note:sending out a mini spray bottle can result in sales, whereas I am not sure those magazine strip scents do much. What I mean by that, is be freer with samples at makeup counters and Sephora, etc. don’t make us ask, have them ready so the sales clerk can throw them in! Unless it’s a scrubber, the more times I try, the more likely I am to find a place for it.

Pepper, pepper… and more pepper. I want to like this, but I can’t get past that overwhelming smell. If you smell this very up close on the skin, there is a creamy, woody, delicious vibe. But the only note that projects and has any longevity is that gosh darn PEPPER!

A friend and I bought this as the lady in Myer had sprayed the fragrance into the air. We both loved it and haven’t looked back.
It’s uplifting, fresh, classy and smells expensive. The longevity and sillage are very good.

I blind bought this one as well as the Miu Miu EDP, and I much prefer this one. This has more green notes and lily of the valley, and I perceive the grapefruit as well. It does seem to turn to powder fairly quickly though, which is a note that never seems to sit right with my skin chemistry. That must be the musk, I suppose. I do agree with another reviewer that more than one spray can induce a headache if you are susceptible to that (which I definitely am). If this was less expensive, I would probably keep it, but I think it cost too much to only like it so-so. I usually am not affected by the advertising used to sell perfumes, but this advertisement photo looks like a very young girl playing grown up, which is a bit off-putting, I think.

Loving this, the original, and the latest rose flanker for spring. Those green notes are sharp! And exhilaratingly lovely.
This one is my current fave of the three bc that lily of the valley note is so crisp and fresh, i can almost taste the dewy petals. Kind of reminds me of grapefruit, in a fantastic way. This is gonna have me smelling like a flower popsicle all summer long. I can get with that.

This scent reminds me of Yves Rocher – Pur desir de lilas. It’s not the same and YR is more sweeter. This one is colder, but it made me think of it.

This is fresh and green! Muguet is prominent and I love this note. Its so beautifully blended with other floral notes. It is love.

I do not believe in dew.
This MiuMiu smell like currant, black currant a lot, and fastly become fresh flowery and lemony like a real petal of magnolia blossom is.
    A 6 o’clock morning in spring.
Delicious. But a bit cold no joyful.
Reminiscences of Pamplelune, Mario Valentino eau d’essence, Atropa Belladonna.

I was given this as a gift by my husband it is a crisp fresh smelling scent. With notes of Lily of the Valley , green notes wild Rose. Its fresh but its very rich and long lasting. It literally last for hours on my skin.I don’t know if I will purchase this when its gone but so far I am enjoying it.

I love it! It’s a very fresh lily-of-the-valley and rose, like morning dew on the petals. But don’t overdo it, one spray is enough, otherwise it turns sweet, peppery and headache-inducing. I can smell it on myself when I move around even if i put on very little which doesn’t happen with all the perfumes for me.

I love this scent and decided it will be my next perfume purchase for sure!
I tried it at Sephora today, sprayed this on one wrist and the original on the other as I’m not familiar with either, both have that peppery note and lily of the valley, but different journeys of smell with both.
I LOVE the Lilly of the valley in this perfume… I love the smell of Lillie’s in general and have not really ever smelled a nice perfume with dominant Lilly smell… it’s fresh, yet sophisticated and unique with the peppery notes (wasn’t sure how I felt about them at first and was wondering if it’s patchouli, but found out it more pepper and I decided I love this note!)
I’m actually rather impressed with the longevity, it’s been lingering on my wrist for the last 6 hours now, easily, and every time I sniff, it’s at a different stage of dry down. I’m used to my Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt, a favourite or mine, but it literally fades and disappears in minutes!!!! So this longevity is very exciting to me.
Also, someone here mentioned they got a headache from this smell… I usually get head aches from many perfumes actually, and I was inhaling this stuff and got no trace of a headache what so ever. I could understand the comment about a chemical scent however… this perfume does get a bit mundane when the lily of the valley and pepper aren’t shining through….. but I appreciate the simplicity this scent has to offer…. I can’t wait to spray it all over myself daily! It’s a scent I know won’t get cloying like the original I assume might!
    Love this.

while i didn’t like the original i was hesitant with this one but it’s impressed me. it actually smells lovely on the skin & it isn’t too harsh on me where the original is. much prefer this & the lasting power is really good, i got as good few hours out of this & it got nicer on me as time went on.

Kind of like biting into a peppercorn soaked in Muguet de Bois, but in a good way. Reminds me of being a kid and buying Easter flowers with my mom from a greenhouse next to the cemetery where we would visit the graves of family members. This smells like early spring when there is still cold rain and maybe some patches of snow on the ground, but the early flowers are coming up.

Very bright, cool, crispy. I often find myself wearing perfumes others consider spring/summer fragrances in fall but this one definitely has to stay in warm weather for me, super green.

I like the green notes, the lily and the other white flowers. These notes are nice and fresh in the beginning but they turn heavy and musky after a few minutes. The result is quite chemical on my skin. I don’t like this scent.

  20. :

It breaks my heart to read so many semi-positive reviews. I think Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue is beautiful.
And yes, lily of the valley is central but the happy bright green notes uplift the otherwise powdery floral note. It’s innocent, happy.
The Woody notes in the drydown are subtle.
I’m a guy so I don’t know if my review should be taken seriously, but if you ask me I would say go for it!

I get the greenness of this perfume in a way… it smells very fresh and lifelike. That being said, it’s very gritty and smells like you’ve been gardening all day.
The sappy, peppery greenness of the LOTV stays on my skin and lingers way too much for my liking. Instead of being airy, fresh and green it’s very, very green in the form of LOTV stems… in a way (if I had a dollar for every time I’ve said green so far…)
It’s hard to describe, but instead of getting LOTV with dew drops and fresh rain almost, I get the dirt the flower is planted in. A very odd perfume for me, and one that doesn’t work well with my skin at all.

They should’ve named id “Miu Miu Green”, because green-ness is all i smell.
Its not a bad smell, certainly safe for office, but after 5 minutes it gets very very boring, because you only smell 1 note. Lilly of the valley. (or, more like, green grass with a hint of white flowers).
If you smell long enough, you might be able to feel the cucumber and white flowers (I suspect that’s what people list as “jasmine”) and a very subtle hint of lemon.
    Boring.

I wore the contents of one tiny sample vial twice and I would honestly say that this fragrance captures the heart of Lily of the Valley nicely, it just spells ” Summer” to me. Very youthful , fresh and definetely Summer! Light but not too light and longevity is around 4 hours on me.
    I would give this a 3.9 out of a 5.

L’Eau Bleue is the same girl as Miu Miu, but she’s had a bad day. It’s more melancholy than the original version. A blurry polaroid of a small town, a wilted white bouquet on a window sill, Nicole Dollanganger’s doll parts, and Lana Del Rey’s Lolita, it’s the sad girl aesthetic.

Lilly of the valley, freshly cut grass and rain. Smell like spring, makes my heart sing with joy and smile to the world bright and wide. This is a very fresh, green and uplifting scent, reminiscent of early spring and long walks in the forest.
It might not be my favourite, but it has its own place. For when I want a blast of freshness without overwhelming citrusy notes or soapy smells.
    Fresh, clean, beautiful, ‘alive’, classy.
    Love the bottle too.

Today, I tried my sample of Miu Miu L’eau Bleue. I like a floral but more, I like a perfume that tells me a story when I’m wearing it-i one that either evokes a real or imaginary moment in time. I had high hopes for this, with a Lily scent and a beautiful bottle. Unfortunately, it did disappoint.
It definitely hit my skin with a strong floral scent, which was pleasant. I got more orange flower at first, but it changed to a recognizable lily soon. But then came a very chemical scent, not as pleasant. It faded too, to the green that people enjoyed. At this point, I had about an hour of a lily and green scent. Quite nice but brought no emotions with it. It faded further, to a sour scent. It only lasted about four hours. No sillage and very close to the skin after the first moment.
Darn. I wanted to love it but it just did nothing on my skin that was beautiful or told a story.

This fragrance is all about lily of the valley, the rose is also there but it has seportive role. The opening is bit cold and sharp with sweetnes that partly reminds me angel but the fragrance get warmer on on skin and becomes a modern version of Anais Anais.
Think I found a present for my sisters birthday.

Miu Miu L’Eau Bleue is pop art in a bottle. This smells like freshly cut celery with a chemical twist. Very green, clean & peppery. Quirky & pretty at the same time. Moderate to soft projection and good lasting power. I find it absolutely modern and addictive.

Got a sample in my Sephora Play! box. It’s not the worst smelling. The green florals are very lovely. However, the wood in this smells just like pepper. I don’t like it. It makes the perfume less feminine and more neutral unisex. I sprayed a little bit in the morning and now about 5 hours later all the florals are gone and just the pepper spray remains. I honestly think I’m just going to wash off the rest. It’s not bad but not too unique and not for me. Calvin Klein’s Downtown is similar in terms of the pepper smelling note but costs a lot less.

  30. :

On me, it smells like funeral flowers and black pepper. The woody drydown is not terrible but it just doesn’t smell as feminine as I’d like.

I agree with the previous reviewer that this is a “safe” scent, but also very beautiful. I was searching for a new spring/summer fragrance (usually Champs Elysees, but I wanted something different). This scent’s personality reminds me of a puppy – when it hits my skin, it starts with a very green and exuberant muguet (some have called it synthetic – I disagree it is just very green). I don’t particularly like the way the top notes behave – they what reminds me of an out-of-control puppy jumping on a person upon seeing them. But then as it calms down, it becomes warmer and sweeter like an obedient lap dog. I don’t get a woody note in the base – rather, I get a mellower muguet and hint of very sweet, soft rose (I don’t usually like a rose scent, but this is subtle and pleasing).
It reminds me a little of the old Diorissimo, but less green and harsh – definitely a modern take on a similar bouquet of spring flowers. It’s youthful, but also has a degree of sophistication.
I find this scent stays close to the skin making it appropriate for work. Longevity isn’t great so far in the cooler weather – I would estimate about 4 to 6 hours based on the first week of wear. I’m pretty sure I will repurchase.

One of the safest perfumes to wear. Even those who hate floral scents would like this. Fresh, clean and non pretentious.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

I think this is beautiful. If I were a women, I would absolutely wear this. I feel like this perfume is ageless, and I love the bottle. This is the perfect spring/summer daytime fragrance to be worn with a short and chic sundress. Those are all the things that come to mind when I smell this.

  34. :

    4 out of 5

This is so perfectly springlike and nice for those who want something pretty, but not juvenile and overly saccharine. It’s a modern muguet. I liked the original too, but it seemed too young for me. This one, with it’s woody drydown, is much more sophisticated. There are moments when I feel like I detect melon, almost cucumber like, but it’s not full blown. Floral and not overbearing, but also not totally lacking in personality. I like!

Thinking that it could be stunning with real lily of the valley. Less vinyl like.

Very pretty, safe, clean smelling, warm weather floral. Something about it feels like wearing Germaine Monteil L`Eau De Monteil.

I just had to buy this because of the bottle! I love LOTV and I convinced myself I was in desperate need of a new spring scent….
But… it is IMO very similar to Fifth Avenue, and it doesn’t last as long. I got 4 hours out of it.
But hey, I’ve added a cute bottle to my colection!

  38. :

    5 out of 5

Tried it today at sephora, top notes are very green, but very pretty, less lily of the valley too, less peppery..I like this version better , more springlike, maybe more modern too..
I don’t think it develops much, but I find it more wearable than the original, although they have the same vibe…like it !! Buying it !? Hmmm..not sure yet

  39. :

    4 out of 5

This was so beautiful. Yes the original spray is a bit of a bump, but within 2 minutes the lily comes through. A upbeat fresh slightly clean floral. It has been on my wrist for about 4 hours now and I can’t stop putting my wrist to my nose. I must have this!!!

  40. :

I like the distinct call of the original Miu Miu fragrance but never enough to wear. I do, however, like Miu Miu L’Eau enough to wear. It has the spirit of the original fragrance but lighter. It wears well and “sparkles” even hours later.
I am really digging this fragrance.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

this is the perfect scent for everyday spring!! love it! wish it would last longer though… it is an perfume, not a toilette so you expect it to last longer than 4 hours…

  42. :

First fragrance I have ever smelled that gave me an instant headache. The chemical slosh that makes up this fragrance must be terrible.
All I can say is stay away from this if you prefer to not feel horrible afterwards. I didn’t know it was possible for me to get a headache, I’ve smelled easily a thousand fragrances, that says something…

  43. :

    3 out of 5

I actually like this version better then the original. Its less sweet and the woody notes makes it more sophisticated and more mature. It has an airy natural vibe to it. Thumbs up

  44. :

    3 out of 5

I am not amazed by it, but I think it’s quite decent. I like it better than the original. Lily of the valley is very dominant in this perfume, but I think it’s still wearable.
Reminds me of spring. It’s similar to the original, but much much better.
I like the beautiful blue bottle too.

  45. :

    3 out of 5

Beautiful, refreshing bottle. Similar to the original Miu Miu fragrance with very distinguishable notes of Lily of the Valley. Though this newer fragrance is slightly more crisp and graceful. I detect hints of melon? Making it more youthful. Unlike the original I find that this fragrance quickly disappears on the skin.

  46. :

    5 out of 5

I tried this today at Sephora. It smelled amazing on paper! The lily of the valley was so feminine and the pepper note was not quite as harsh as the first one-just enough to add some zing. Overall fresh and lovely and I thought it would be perfect for spring.I was going to buy this on the spot but asked for a sample first. I am glad I did. I do not like the wood in the dry down. It gives it a bug spray quality(Avon skin so soft, skintastic, etc). Not offensive really, but it ruined it for me.To be fair, I have the chemistry that seems to turn wood to cedar shavings so I would probably enjoy smelling it on someone else!! Silage is moderate but Longevity is poor.(2 hours and barely a hint)
    Beautiful bottle though!!

  47. :

    3 out of 5

At first it’s chemical mess. Surely it does not smell like a natural lily-of-the-valley. It’s something that pretends to be one but with a very weak result. Later it is a bit better but still far from satisfactory. Only the base notes are not bad.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

I tested this in duty free shop. Very light and pretty green floral for girls. No more nor less. Less distintive scent than the original.

  49. :

    4 out of 5

The original Miu Miu is one of my hg perfumes so I was beyond excited to smell this when it was released. It has the same beautiful spiciness as the original but the floral side is softer and sweeter on me. The two are reminiscent of each other but different enough to justify owning both if, like me, you can’t get enough of that lovely floral with the unique peppery finish that typifies these fragrances for me.

Perfect, the Lou Lou by Cacharel copy continues. As I wrote when the first Miu Miu was launched (see the comments Jul.07.2015), although the shape of the bottle is very different, the 20s remains as the opaque glass il light blue and the red cap. Identical colors. Years later Cacharel made a flanker with light blue clear glass bottle and call it ‘Lou Lou Blue. And the sound: Lulù miumiù blu.
Well, maybe coincidences. And it is not the end of the world, but…
