Description

Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet arrives in summer 2008. This is a blooming bouquet of emotions and notes, announced as summer interpretation of Miss Dior Cherie EDT edition of 2007, which was not well accepted at Asian market, since it was considered “too Western”.

Dominant notes of this fragrance are mandarin in the top notes, peony flowers in the heart and sensual white musk trace in the base note. The bottle has the same shape, liquid is pink, which contributes to the feeling of romance.

It comes in 100ml (3.4fl.oz) EDT bottle.

On me, this opens with a sour note, like sour cherry, but with a hint of something synthetic/metallic, after about fifteen minutes, it turns into something soft and floral, pleasing to the nose, but nothing special. It’s a very “coy” fragrance and smells like many other peony-dominant scents.

I thought I was purchasing a ‘vintage’ (as much as something only 10 years old can be called that…) bottle of L’eau so imagine my horror when the bottle came out PINK! First I thought the color had just gone off, but then I read the label: Miss Dior Cherie BLOOMING BOUQUET!
Oh how mad I was! I already own the latest Blooming Bouquet. But then I sprayed it on my hand and wrist… And oh… This is what swooning must feel like. Just imagine the base DNA of the original 2005 Miss Dior Cherie without all the fruity caramel popcorn stuff.
It’s so pretty and so much stronger than the 2012 version. I did a side by side comparison twice and the 2012 felt so ephemeral and watered down in comparison, that if I hadn’t bought it at the store myself, I would have thought it was a fake! The 2012 lasts about 5 minutes on me and I had resigned myself to just use it as a bedtime perfume and spray it on my pillows. But now I’m keeping Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet and going to be trading the 2012 version.
This one’s longevity still isn’t fantastic, only about 2 hours (on a cold December day.) But the projection goes at leas 2-3 feet. The projection on 2012 is about 5 inches between my wrist and nose.
I can’t wait for the next reformulation of Blooming Bouquet where I’ll literally have to spray it up my nose to smell it. But at least they gave us Absolutely Blooming.
In conclusion: if you love the original 2005 Miss Dior Cherie, get your hands on this ASAP if you can. Blind buy it, you will be happy!

Today I saw a mini of miss dior cherie blooming bouquet in my friends room,I don’t know it’s this one or the newer version
It’s obviously floral dominant, with some citruses and a hint of fruity notes,it’s likable, sweet, girly but not as light as I’ve expected,it’s a great choice for a sweet young girl to use it in spring and summer
Not a love for me,but I like it..staying power is moderate on me and if it was still in produce,I may bought my younger sister a bottle

I am not certain of the year of my fragrance, but this is MDC BB and I just scored a 100ml bottle for $20 on the 4 letter auction site. It was advertised as the most recent addition of Blooming Bouquet. I am not going to complain. It just arrived and I am not quite sure how I feel about the unexpected peony instead of the rose in the new BB.

Years ago the guy I was dating knowing I was a total Dior Girl bought me back a bottle of Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet from Singapore I believe.
If I’m not mistaking back then it hadn’t yet been released in Australia.
Naturally, I loved it & thankfully for me my skin & Dior fragrances seem to go together perfectly…
Although I normally wouldn’t go for a soft floral based scent I actually really loved Miss Dior Cherie BB
It’s been some time since I’ve had both the M Dior & the M Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet so can’t quite remember which I prefer but for some reason seem to be leaning towards the Miss Dior…
Will let you all know if that changes when I get a chance to have a fresh sniff of them both… 🙂

I see people are still comenting this in 2015 as this is discontinued some time ago, and from 2014 we have MISS DIOR BLOOMING BOUQUET not MISS DIOR CHERIE BLOOMING BOUQUET sadly. Actualy there was/is 3 versions of it – MDC BB 2008. MDC BB 2011 and MD BB 2014. (Yesterday had a chance to compare the 2011 and 2014 and I do see a difference and I prefer 2011 thousand times) Dior used to make legendary perfumes and all that reformulations of MDC line, addict and even poison line is tragedy for perfume world.

This is the first one I could call ” my signature scent”. I wore it almost everyday until I finish the bottle. And now I’m ordering another bottle of this! Which is never happen to me before. I’m deeply in love!
This’s a light fresh uplifting floral scent that can bring smile to my face everytime.
Ps. and yes, everybody is right about the longitivity. No matter how heavy I apply it in the morning. The scent always fade after couples of hours. But what can I say, I’m too crazy in love. So I’m happy to reapply it over and over again.

Bought it today, since I smelled it once in a perfumery and really liked it. Too bad has no lasting power…if I say 5-10 minutes I do tend to exagerate. Freaking sad. 🙁

I smelled this for the first time yesterday and really liked it so I gave it a spritz.
Normally I’m not crazy about very floral perfumes because I think they can smell a bit generic and / or kind of boring (as with Estee Lauder ‘Pleasures’) but this one is very nice although, to my nose, it’s also kind of sweet so I’d say it’s 50/50 sweet/floral.
It smelled really nice on my skin, and I sprayed a little on my jacket too, BUT (and for me it would be a big but!) a couple of hours later I could barely smell a thing, both on my skin and on my jacket. For a perfume that’s not cheap I’d expect much better staying power so for that reason I doubt I’d ever consider buying a full bottle. If I was given a bottle as a present though then I’d be happy!
So, for the perfume itself I’d give it full marks but the lack of staying power lets it down VERY badly.

I would live to try this! Sounds like it smells better than the original. Miss Cherie was okay to smell, but nothing I wanted to run out and purchase. I have plenty of fragrance vials that haven’t swept me off my feet ans ended up on a must go list that I haven’t completed yet. Would swap for a taste of this fragrance.

I am Hong Kong Chinese and I found it lovely and girly. Good for day time with a floral skirt. I think it matches Chinese and Korean girls!

this reminds me A LOT of ysl’s ‘in love again’…

For the first half hour, I love this.
The orange burst at the opening and the delecate soft peony notes are delightful. Very young Parisian chic, perfect for spring.
Sadly, its just a little too quiet for my liking and fades way too quickly. Its almost gone two hours after spraying.
Shame, with better longevity this would be a winner.

  17. :

    5 out of 5

definitely a girly soft and floral perfume…but still for me, it smell classy and elegant as it dries down…however, it doesnt last on my skin and it stays only around 4 hours…it is quiet but alluring in a way

  18. :

    This smells just wonderful!
It smells very light and floral and I find the smell a lot more pleasant than the original Miss Dior Chérie that is currently on the market. Too bad, that the longevity is quite weak.
I think “Miss Dior Chérie Blooming Bouquet” and “Miss Dior Chérie L’eau” are the best out of the Miss Dior line, which is quite ironic, because exactly those two aren’t available in the stores…

  19. :

The name is “miss dior” but it’s not for a miss at all, it ‘s for a lady at middle age. I am an asian and i dont like it.

  22. :

    5 out of 5

Too sweet and yes it’s for asia market as it fit to the weather here.. i’m in other way not too interest to this one.. it’s too sweet for me and make me hungry.. haha

  23. :

    3 out of 5

I guess it is kind of right that miss dior blooming is targetted for Asia market. The smell fits asian countries weather. Not too strong and not too soft, but I have to reapply quite often (albeit not as often as escada’s especially escada- very weak sillage).
I am Asian, and I don’t think this perfume is suitable for teenagers only.
I believe there is no boundaries of age for perfumes as they all smell differently on different skins.

  24. :

    4 out of 5

A very sweet scent. MDC Blooming is a pretty and wellcrafted fragrance created for the younger audience. I like it better than the original Miss Dior Cherie bcs it’s less fruity and more floral. For anyone who loves sweet scents but not for me.

  25. :

    3 out of 5

I expected something more from Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet rather than a remake of previous edition of Miss Dior Cherie.
The difference is just the light peony and less fruity scent at the opening, while the regular Miss Dior makes you smells like candy. Maybe the regular one is more suitable for teenagers.
At the end Miss Dior Cherie will leave trace of floral, which makes it more feminine and suitable for more mature women. The pink colour doesn’t lie.
Like most of Dior EDT, the smell doesn’t last long. Unfortunately Miss Dior perfume has very different smell compared to the EDT. Almost can’t notice any other notes besides the strong jasmine. The perfume is not recommended for day time use.

I think this is beautiful. Very soft and floral – but like many have said it isn’t too powerful and doesn’t last too long – needs a top-up every few hours! It sits pretty close to my skin; silage isn’t great.
I would definitely say a daytime perfume and great for offices where it would gently envelope rather than suffocate! Aimed at a young market but I think it transcends all ages as it would certainly suit middle-aged as well as older!

I really enjoy this fragrance. Not overpowering, not too subtle. The floral notes are refreshing, not overwhelming. The base notes remind me of white pepper and vetiver. Overall very nice. I wear it during the day.

A rather soapy floral. Nothing special to my nose.

    This is my 2nd review:
I’ve heard that the target market for Cherie Blooming Bouquet is Asia. Seems that a lot of female friends around me (I’m in China) have this perfume, and also a lot of people say they love it.
I’ve tried it the second time at my friend’s. The opening really captured my heart, rose and peony, smells fresh and clean. But this is the only part that I like, within half an hour the freshness just gone, followed by the fruits, it’s so weird that I smell the fruits After the flowers. The base notes are a little boring, like nothing. Maybe it just doesn’t match my chemistry.
I only appreciate the floral parts, which smells like high quality flower essences, but too short-lived. Won’t by a FB. Never mind if smell it from others.

Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet inherited the same sweetness from other Miss Dior Cherie, just with a little bit grassy-transparent-bubbly-citrusy-pineapple-champagne hint added in to lighten up the whole concoction.
At the beginning, somehow I find this version rather enjoyable, somehow it reminds me a bit of Dior Addict 2, but Blooming Bouquet is heavier on the floral side with sweetness.
However, the freshness fades away quite fast, and left a watered-down, less deep/quasi-woody version of the mid towards dry down phase original Miss Dior Cherie, which is kinda weirdly sweetened to me.
Not sure why Dior is keep on pushing the Miss Dior Cherie line with countless headache inducing sugared water versions. Maybe it’s just my chemistry, hope I don’t offend anyone.
Even though not my cup of tea, I have to say the original Miss Dior Cherie is much better done and with more personality.

This perfume smell very light on me. Too light that it is almost transparent. Great for those who cant stand strong perfume. I love the scent n it is lovely. Something to wear on a relaxing day. Quite nostalgic smell n innocent.

I love this perfume! I have to share it with my mom cause my mom love the scent too. But i can feel that this scent is a bit similar with BRIGHT CRYSTAL VERSACE but only Miss Dior Cherie has a strong powdery scent and more sweet. BUT it doesn’t last long 🙁 4 hours on my shirts and i have to re-apply again.

JUST LOVELY! In the top notes there r citrus fruits along with muskadime berries, dripping sweetness and juicniness,Wonderful. But,just enough fruit to peak ur intrest.THEN,peonies come forth, all colors and scents and do a dance arround the fruits. There is a faint (WHITE) musk that ads to the sweetness and sex appeal.I know its called Miss but Im a MRS and I just love it.Springtime in a bottle or a lil surprise for winter.Would so brighten a dark, gloomy day.A very special fume!

This is a must buy perfume.
it started with soft smell of berries, eventhough there is no berries in it.
and later the smell of floral emerge tenderly.
its really smell like a bouquet of flower.. really nice.. i love it so much..=)
the first time i wear it, it does not last long but after few times it last for the whole day.. yippi!

This pink Miss is defined as “Floral”, but I can smell some fruits, especially on the top note. It’s a beautiful fragrance but seems to have no personality, just averagely good.

Weird… only three notes here? How simple for a Dior creation. This perfume is nice, really blooming of bouquet. But dont you think it’s similar to Givenchy Ange Ou Demon Le Secret??? i love this perfume, have a very good staying power on me, but the less character. Smell just like a usual perfume. Adding some wood here might improve this perfume. Suit summer, not winter. i have one in my closet, and it’s nearly empty.
I can smell jasmine, but where is jasmine mention in the notes?? The combination above is ok, but for me, there is something missing.

This is the one perfume which attracts me only by its scent, cos the bottle is sweet but not so special. The smell is so nice, floral, fresh, and special. I love it very much.Too bad it didn’t last long I was looking forward to its eau de perfume but they’re not making it.

I love this scent. Though I still have few doubts about it. I’ve added and removed it from my ‘must have’s’ list few times by now. I don’t know if it is just me, but the composition though beautiful evokes nostalgic and melancholic feeling..even if I won’t have it for myself in the future, I may buy it for my sister as a present..and it already has a ribbon on the bottle:))

I love this perfume! It’s lovely, like the original, but the original was a little to strong for me (maybe I used the wrong amount) and smelled too bold on my skin. Blooming Bouquet was lighter, more delecate and more naturally sweet without being candy sweet. Very girly and flowery but sophisticated as well. It’s the perfect balance of sophisticated dior smell and sweet young girl. I love it !
