All I get is synthetic berries. Yet berries are not in the notes listed above. Very strong fragrance. So far, I do not like it. Maybe I will try it again in summer, as it is winter where I am at the moment.

Really lovely. Although I love gourmand fragrances this is a nice change. It is softly sweet with that patchouli muskiness that I love. The projection is great. Just 3 sprays and this concoction creates a lovely veil of fragrance around you. It is not in any way loud or offensive but soft and sophisticated. Never judge a perfume by the price.

A lovely perfume for a great price, BUT spray liberally it will last on me for 6-7 hours, I really can’t fault it and will buy more, an everyday smell
    and I just love it.

Nothing special, but you could do worse. The packaging is pink, the juice is pink … it’s a very “pink” fragrance. Sweet and floral with prominent peony (I would probably enjoy it more if the tuberose was more forward but despite the “main notes” listed above, I’m not getting much tuberose).
It’s dirt cheap though, so if you can find a bottle for a few £ or $ and you enjoy this kind of fragrance, then why not? Longevity seems to be quite good.
Incidentally it’s nothing like the original Vanderbilt. The only similarity is the shape and design of the bottle.

Wow this is a very nice parfume for a good price! If feel very chic when I wear this. It could be overwelming… But certainly NOT old fashioned like the basic Vanderbilt which one granny likes.
I don’t smell the (white) flowers nor something powdery… I smell sweet, warm woody vanilla and it’s so good! I am very happy with my blind bought bargain 😉

Wasn’t entirely sure what to expect when I picked this up for $17 in a small country town.
The original vintage version of Vanderbilt is so beautiful, with some beautiful muskiness. The reform I wasn’t a fan of.
BUT… this, while not at all related to the original, is so beautiful. The colour of the juice is very indicative of what it smells like – soft, transparent (in a good way and totally pink. Peony and tuberose *sigh*

Beautiful like the original which is there ar the base however this is slightly spicy with a sort of sherbet smell or its a fizzy sweet drink but not sickly sweet. It is effervescent and long lasting with moderate sillage. If you like the original you may like this more.

Just received this today and first spray, oh my, it smells so much like something I wore in the past (80s perhaps) but I can’t for the life of me remember what. My head has been buzzing all day trying to remember,it is lovely, the Patchouli is gorgeous and it almost has a liquorice smell to it…..if anyone can think of anything from about the 80s era similar to this please comment, my mind is exhausted lol.

    UPDATE 25.06.2017:
The parfume and I are now friends. It´s very nice and comfortable. I wear it when I go to work, and got some compliments.
    ———————————————————————————–
I recived this in the mail today, and Im wearing it on my right wrist. I´ve now been wearing it for 5 hours and i´ve been cooking dinner and done the dishes by hand. And I can still smell it.
It isn´t bad at all, but I think it gonna take a little getting use to. I smell tuberose, hyacinth and a dab of suade.
But all in all I think we´re gonna be friends.

Oh boy, the more i wear it the more I like it! Again, one of those old-fashioned, proper perfumes, it smells like perfume should smell like, grand big opening of flowers, then when it settles down a bit, a nice and cosy wrap of suede, patchouli and amber. I’m not a big fan of the original GV but this stuff is good! Well done 🙂

    Here comes the patchouli!
It’s an enjoyable fragrance – not generic but not overly special either.
I wish I was getting more white flowers and violets, but as usual my skin has amplified the patchouli.
A shame because most of the notes looked right up my alley…

First impressions: sweet berry perfume like a perfume I’ve smelled before but can’t put my finger on which one. This doesn’t smell like anything special to me. It doesn’t smell like any particular one note which means it’s very well blended. The sillage seems to be moderate.

This was a fragrance that was sold for a limited time. She will always lose to the best seller that is the original and fist Vanderbilt fragrance. This is the Midnight Poison version of Vanderbilt. This is a scent of night blooming flowers. Midnight in New York? You don’t want to know what 12AM in NYC smells like. This is more like midnight in a little flower bed in Central Park. The scent is big on patchouli so if you’re familiar with patchouli and it’s bad ass projection and aromatic smoky aspects you’d like this. I feel however that it’s not as intense as other patchouli fragrances. The other big note on this frag is leather and suede. It smells very expensive and very much like realistic leather to the point that it turns into a man’s cologne scent. But the peony and tuberose as well as hyacinth are keeping it feminine and sweet. Out of all the floral scents the hyacinth is the dominant note to my nose. But the others are clearly there especially gardenia and jasmine even a little violet. This is a really great fragrance of many facets. It’s too bad it’s no longer available anywhere. I’m glad I still have mine. And I wish midnight in New York smelled like this!

I really am excited to try this; the notes look really great! That being said, the bottle; oh dear…I understand wanting to keep the same aesthetic from the 80’s but to me it looks in the same vein as White Shoulders as in frosted glass with an imprinted figure on it. Not exactly youthful or modern. It isn’t a timeless design like a Chanel or Dior bottle and it doesn’t read as expensive or luxurious. Maybe the ad campaign will sell it better. I’m probably judging to harshly.
