Description

Pop diva Beyonce launched her first perfume Heat in 2010. After the original, Heat Ultimate Elixir and Heat Rush also appeared on the market. In 2012, Beyonce launches the latest, more sensual than the previous ones Midnight Heat. Midnight Heat exudes passion in the air and embodies excitement of hot summer nights.

It opens with rich fruity flavors of plum from Armenia and star fruit. Orchid, black tulips and purple peony form the heart that gradually turns into the oriental base of warm amber, sandalwood and patchouli.

The fragrance is available as 15, 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Gillotin.

Let me just say, the colour of the bottle is gorgeous. I love purple!
It looks so good on my shelf, this is probably her only scent that I’ve purchased twice.
It’s actually worth having.. It’s not a heavy patchouli.
The plum, orchid, star fruit, pithaya mixed with patch, gives this scent a dark fruity concept, which I like. I do think it’s more of a night perfume.
It’s not a loud scent, but I love how this one lasts on me.
Not that great with sillage, however the lasting power is great.

I first tried this about three years ago and really loved it at first sniff. I got a little decant from a dear Fragrantican, and am wearing it tonight. But now it falls into a bit of a predictable category. Nothing wrong with it. I don’t get overwhelming patch as some have mentioned. But it’s really rather harmless and sweet. Not really what I look for in perfumes.
So I’m afraid this one will be downgraded from love to like.

    The Bottle:
It looks like the original (suppose to look like fire but i don’t see it) but purple. A nice bottle to have for a bottle collection.
    Inside the bottle:
Fruity, dark, earthy are the words to describe this perfume. When sprayed you get a scent of sweet plum, starfruit, dragonfruit with a little bit of patchouli. When dried you can also smell the sandalwood and floral but what shows off the most is the plum, starfruit and patchouli.Longevity is okay the longest it might stay would be a few hours. Sillage is light but not too close to the skin.
    Overall:
This perfume is perfect for someone who enjoy’s dark fruity scents. Great summer night scent. If your not a big fan of patchouli this one might win you over you can smell it enough to know it’s there but the fruit is able to make it light and not overwhelming.

Finally replaced my bottle of this!
A few months ago, times were tough and we needed cash fast, so what did i do? i sold all my perfumes that i didn’t absolutely love ( ie: ones i could bring myself to part with) and all my Beyonce ones ended up going, except for ultimate elixer.
I really loved this one more than the rest so when i finally got the chance i had to replace it, theres just something really velvety smooth and luscious about the smell of it. I have a feeling my old bottle lasted longer but that may just be my imagination as im one that loves heavy fragrances. Its sweet but not in a artificial sugary way and the musky patchouli notes keep it from being too fruity.
It only costed me 16.00 so i don’t mind going spray crazy lol. Still a love, No regrets.

I like the notes but there’s something that comes across as “sticky”/”synthetic” and I just can’t enjoy it. I didn’t have problems with its strength.

Oh, my most sentimental perfume! I used to wear this when I met my soon to be husband. I associate it with falling in LOVE 🙂
It also reminds me of Christmas 2013 when my mom gifted it to me and how everyone told me I smell lovely on new years eve 🙂
So many lovely memories! No doubt I am wearing this next month on my wedding day.

I think this is a love or hate kind of scent. It’s well blended and soft, but you can smell the patchouli and plum very well. Used to wear it to bed some time ago.
Only it doesn’t last long on my skin. All in all I can say it’s one of my favorite perfumes by Beyonce.

This one is great! Im so in love with the sweetness of plum & starfruit and the dry notes are very soothing. Wore it around 7pm and the scent was still lingering upon waken up the next day. Definitely a keep for me.

So I finally bought a bottle of Beyonce’s “Midnight Heat” that I’ve wanted since Christmas and I must say…it is actually quite good. Very plum and vanilla (Cereus flower) with a noticeable star fruit sweet/green intermingling well enough. Quite alluring.
I must say though, I got a slight reminder of classic Imari “Seduction” here! But then it was gone. I think Beyonce puts off a certain shyness when she’s not possessed by Sacha fierce onstage and that is the way it smells on my skin, a beautiful gradual radiation with heat which is just right for a close up at a dinner table or party. Very well done and I respect the womanliness of it too.
I do get the spice from the patchouli too. A good buy to add to my night artillery after Kim Kardashian “Gold,” and Paris Hilton “Fairy Dust.” The bottle is lovely, although in actuality the base is wider than displayed here, the bottle cap, negligible. At $149 for a 100mL bottle, I will also admit I was drawn to the purple/blue of the overall display. Not a sillage monster…alright, an underrated sexy!

It’s my favorite by Beyonce by far.
    Dark, deep, yummy and intriguing.
I love the notes pyramide. It’s unique.
Most of all I feel the plum jam, purple orchid with night blooming Cereus. The last one or mixed with dragonfruit gives a coconut feeling somehow. I also feel nice purple peony and sour star fruit. Black tulip I feel less. Of course, I feel amber with patchouli and less sandalwood.
    Very exotic tropical night fragrance!
    I’m in love…

My fave from the heat collection
It reminds me of date nights in the middle of new york city
The lasting power is more then 12 hours
    The silage is amazing
Beyoncé did a realy good job on this one

This starts off creamier than the other heat drags
But it’s really close to them.
Try layering it to get longevity

As the name describes; it would be a lovely scent for a warm night. It’s not overpowering and it won’t knock you over either, it’s soft enough to be an easy wear but also has that heady richness to be quite a sexy fragrance. There’s a beautiful sweet juicy plum and floral beginning that quickly dries down to a warm slightly smoky decadent tulip, creamy vanilla and patchouli finish.
It does really smell..purple lol and I’m glad I gave it a second chance because the tester in the store had a strange, slightly rancid smell on first spray but I gave it half an hour or so while I did my shopping and once it had dried down I could get a few notes that I’m getting now but still with a slighty off smell. Something still pulled me back to it though and I got 100ml bottle for 24 dollars which is quite a reasonable price really. Now that I’ve used a fresh bottle I can safely say that I’m pretty sure the store tester had turned because what I’m getting from the new one I bought is beautiful, makes me think of laying down on a hot night in a field of black tulips breathing in the sweet summer air. There’s an undetlying note that seems to be in all Beyonces Heat fragrances; a sweet orchid note, it’s quite light in this one but there nonetheless. I liked origional Heat, did not like the second version she bought out but I love this one. It’s less sweet and more sofisticated in a way. And lastly, the dark violet glass bottle is absolutely lovely to look at. Also if anyone looks at the description and gets scared off by the patchouli notes then fear not, they are just delicate enough to give it a bit of spice without being over the top.
This is one of those rare perfumes that, if you spray it on your skin and breathe it in deeply it awakens the senses with a perfectly balanced combination of sweet, creamy, smoky, spicy, intoxicating and mouthwatering notes that for a celeb scent are suprisingly perfectly blended.
Update: i tried an experiment with this on a really warm night; i mixed 2 sprays of this with 1, just ONE spray of TF Velvet orchid (more than one spray and it completely takes over) and let me just say..it was absolutely amazing. The cool and warm notes from both orchid perfumes completely balanced each other out and the rum and honey from velvet orchid with the sweetness of midnight heats plum really was lovely. I urge anyone who owns both to give it a try, you wont be disappointed.

There is a fig note in here no one is mentioning. When I first smelled this I thought of Joop! Cologne and was in love. it’s just jumbled up plum raisin fig starfruit patchouli. I’ve retired it now but I bought this 4 times already so that says a lot & I have cheated on it with Pulse NYC. But I must say I found true love with her Heat Kissed which is her best of the line imo.

Got this blind buy today, I like RISE, but wasn’t sure based on the divisive love/hate reviews as well as the notes, whether I would like any of her other scents. Though many of her scents (as well as many other fragrances in general) always seem to have some attractive notes, you can never be sure whether those notes will come through, are blended well, or of acceptable quality. Being a mostly dark warm and spicy scent lover, too many fruits and flowers can scare me away. The presence of Patch, oak moss, amber, sandalwood, or various spices or booze, can sometimes tempt me however in the hopes they balance out any heavy fruits or florals. I am pleased to say my money wasn’t wasted in choosing this one to try, and I’m gonna fall on the “like it very much” side of the fence. The test tonight has went well, I usually prefer a nice spritz on the ankle and one on the wrist and then I sit back for the evening and see how things progress. The Plum and Patch really does blend very well and produces quite a nice top scent that lasts the whole experience, with other notes coming and going to varying degrees through the evening…always underneath that quite pleasant Plum/patch overcast. I consider this a pleasant surprise and between the satisfaction of RISE and now finding this rather nice as well, I could be tempted into gambling on another of her scents….I do see a couple others that seem to contain some nice note combinations. I am also more than relieved to report, I found no chemical or cheapness in this scent. I know that noses and personal body chemistry plays a big part in how a scent settles on an individual. Thankfully, this one settles like a fine warm moonlit night on this guy.

I see everyone has radically positive or negative reaction about Midnight Heat because of monstrous patchouli. I really like it. Also there’s intense sandalwood, musk, thick plum jam and something unusually fresh, it could be tulip. This is perfume with minimal blending, so notes are rather clashing and sometimes too obvious. It’s not a perfume of sophistication, this is more goth or seductive style.

  18. :

    5 out of 5

Nothing special but its inoffensive and easy on the nose. As you’d expect its a fruity sweet concoction. It’s one of those scents that you can just apply liberally while taking out the garbage or mopping the floor and not feel like you’re spraying cash in the air.

  19. :

    5 out of 5

Extremely cheap smell! Tried it out from an open box at a discount store. No,,,just no! And I like even some of those cheap-smelling VS frags. I even don’t find “True Star” by Tommy Hilfiger all that bad as a lot of reviews say..(again with Beyonce on it).
But this is just sickly sweet flat scent with no discernible notes to it. It looks like this was inspired by BS Midnight Fantasy, and an attempt to probably get some of Midnight Fantasy’s fans, too. But Midnight Fantasy at least has some development happening, some darker undertones under all that plum and florals to make it at least a bit interesting. This one is pure syrup. And the bottle is very awkwardly shaped, uncomfortable to hold.
UPDATE: I have to apologize about this mistake. The comparison above was for the original Midnight Fantasy. The new reformulated version of MF is equally as bad as Midnight Heat. Development is gone, notes are undetectable, just an artificial linear sweet-sour rotten fruit scent.

I always thought this wasn’t available in shops in Germany. Today I found it – in a Marktkauf supermarket of all places!
I think Midnight Heat is my fave of the Beyonce fragrances so far. In fact I just ordered a tiny 15 ml bottle.
The name and design are misleading though, to me this is more of a daytime perfume and also not dark purple.
At first it’s very fruity with a noticeable, but not overwhelming dose of patchouli. And the fruits have a green note to them – I can really pick out the starfruit, never would have thought that, and the plum smells like fresh, slighty unripe yellow plum pulp. The fruits are refreshing and original, not as overused as berries or classic citrus and not cloyingly sweet.
Later the fragrance dries down to a warm patchouli-amber-sandalwood blend.
Midnight heat is a summery light patchouli perfume. I am positively surprised!

So fruity and delicious! I get a huge blast of plum and dragonfruit. Nothing sour or unpleasant. And after that it disappears so fast it doesn’t really evolve on me. As most have said, longevity is pretty poor. But I tried reapplying after a couple of hours and that seems to layer the elements and arrive at something with a little lasting power. I find the scent really appealing so maybe I’ll try adding the lotion.
Oh, and I think the bottle looks pretty but i HATE the shape. It’s almost impossible to hold it and spray one-handed.

i am always so curious about how all the Heats smell. it is hard to described mid noght heat. its sweet but in a very sopisticated way. it is mature and has a perrffummy vibe if that makes since it just smells really luxurious and charming. I definitley smells plum and a little vanilla. the bottle and packaging are beautiful as weel.

My husband immediately told me that he thinks this perfume smells kinda masculine lol I however, disagree.. Though I could see how he would get that impression. To me Midnight Heat is reminiscent of Bath & Body Works Forever Midnight & it’s not just coincidence the names are similar. I think Midnight Heat is less sweet & more mature. I personally find it sensuous, mysterious, clean yet edgy. Not for those with extra sensitive noses however not as overpowering as Angel. (which by the way though I somewhat like I cannot wear because it gives me a headache & makes my eyes water) Anyway I love it, definitely more sophisticated than the original Beyonce Heat. Midnight Heat will get people wondering who smells so good as it makes its entrance & all the while provide that air of mystery & intrigue…

    Another Beyoncé trial.
(Oops I forgot, I have tried this in the warmer months from an in store tester, I did get the vanilla warm sweet vibe, tonight I don’t. I am wearing another two scents to try. I suspect this is weather dependant…)
Creamy, or maybe rounded in feel, smelled ‘purple’ on initial spray
    Then greenness emerged.
I think now there are purple and pinky flowers floral notes.
    Not fruity
    Not gormand
    Not vanilla
Am I smelling a faint bitter floral behind the soft rounded green floral…?
    Maybe I am. Not yucky.
You could possibly spray this all over as a body spray because it’s so light.
I’ve got Beyonce heat on the other arm and the fruits in that are stinger than I anticipated.
This needs trying during the day when you can work in it. I’m trying it now post shower on a cool rainy autumn night.

I love this sent. I find it vary dark and sexy. I would get complement on this a lot, like at school and church. My uncle even said it smells nice and like Beyonce he is allergic to perfume.
When I first had it was in a 15ml & few months ago I finally got a 100ml. Most the time on me this sent last a long time.
This is one of my favorite fragrances.

This one definitely took some gettimg used to. After ready some pretty horrible reviews, I still decided to give it a shot. Final verdict: I actually adore this perfume. The scent is very mature and full of mystery. Two words to describe it: Spicy Plum. Perfect for a night out when you wanna add a little spice to your night. 🙂

I accidentally bought this when I was meant to buy wild orchid… I find this starts out very fruity and dries down with the same sort of patchouli that midnight poison has. For such a cheapie it’s lovely.. not very long lasting but lovely all the same

I had a love and hate to this perfume at the first time i sprayed it! I was in the mall and seem this perfume for a cheap price of 100ml. So i grab it together with the heat rush and heat wild orchid! So when i reach my house.. I was excited to unbox all of it and putting it on my shelves and spray it.. Btw my first perfume by beyonce is her HEAT. so i unboxed all them. I was so happy tht i get it.. The bottle is really stunning n reminds me of old witch bottle and a bottle from a chemist lab. I sprayed this midnight heat on my neck. Then i ws shock…i ws like wtf why smells so synthetic and medicine. Ita smells yucky tht makes me puke! I thougt it has a bad blend on my skin chemistry so i tried it to my dress. And i sprayed it once on my dress.. And im so much disaapoinnted.. Its smells so bad.. But instead i return it back to the mall. I give it a chance. But i really cnt stand the smell on my skin to i took a shower to erase the smell on my skin. But i give it chance to my dress. I waited.. After an hour i try to smell it if the scents will change.. But no!! Until i put it in my shelves n forgot about it.. After a few weeks. I plan to clean all my perfuke which is pretty a lot.. So when i pick up this midnight heat..it reminds me of my disappoinment when i first sprayed it. But! I was thinking what if im ganna use it after after my shower.. So i give it a try..after a shower. I sprayed it on my neck and wrist and some pulse of my body. N im surprised!! Its smells realy stunning. I smells the patchouli, carambola and plum!!its so amazing how it change like that on my skin.. From bad scents to stunning scents. So i sprayed more!! Til i find out tht i love it..its a tropical. Sweet and sour perfume. With a little powdery in the drydown tht reminds me of baby diaper..the sillage and longevity is cool pz it last long on my skin spxially to my dress.. The packaging is ok.. From a cheap cardboard. But the bottle is beautiful! This perfume is awesome to wear in a hot summer day.. The plum and patchouli really last in this perfume.. From top to bade notes. I cn detect 2 of them..

19$ for a 3.4 oz bottle was unbeatable so now Beyonce midnight heat is here in front of me,as my seventh beyonce perfume
First about it’s bottle.I like it very much.I also like it’s lovely purple color and it’s lilac cap
    Now about the scent
it’s a fruitchouli and not a really sweet one.fruit and flowers in it,aren’t the ones often used in perfumes so I find it’s fruity smell kind of unique.starfruit, pitahaya mix with a hint of plums to provide a tart, crisp, juicy, fresh fruity quality.these fruits are blended with a soft floral veil.patchouli is fleshy here, kind of humid not dry and the most dominant note on my skin besides fruits.sandalwood and amber make it warmer and softer.on my skin drydown is creamy patchouli and sandalwood with a soft fruity undertone.it’s not a very plummy or let’s say a blueish purple scent such as britney’s midnight fantasy for instance.I can detect starfruit and pitahaya stronger than plum.if I wanted to choose a color for this scent it would probably be a very dark green
It’s wearable year round and can be a daily, casual fragrance.also good for nights out with friends.inoffensive and fresh but also warm and definitely adult.two of my relatives have it.one believes midnight heat is a good office scent, the other one finds it rather sexy.I kind of agree with both
Longevity is about 3 hours on my skin, sillage is soft.if you’re looking for a heady, dark scent it’s not that one.it’s not also a girly candied fruit jam.it’s warm, mature, soft but not bright.although patchouli is easily detectable, it’s pretty clean.I believe it can pass as unisex.it’s different with most well known fruitchoulis out there probably because it’s not very sweet, patchouli isn’t sharp or dry and fruits are juicy and non-sugary
I don’t hate it but I don’t like it either.it has dominant patchouli and dominant tropical fruits and I’m not fan of either one.it’s my least favourite Beyonce perfume and I wish I had it in smaller size instead of kissed
I prefer original heat, orchid and kissed
    ❤❤

Eh like most cheap perfumes, doesn’t last. Nice smell but the testers in perfume shops and chemists are eau de parfum or stronger and they last but when you buy the actual product, like this one, it seems to be watered down. On the hunt for perfumes that last but don’t break the bank! This doesn’t last on me 🙁

I agree with takeasniff reviewer below. U can definitely mix her scents because they are all related. So u can create your own scents and get a different smell without spending a fortune onniche perfume. Beyonce perfumes are also done right and not overwhelming….except for Pulse.

In a moment of lunacy i sprayed this on and also sprayed the pink heat wild orchid over it. Let it settle yum! I have been mixing the heats together and i find it makes them quite interesting they settle on my skin and with body heat they start to smell really nice. I have also sprayed the pink one with heat kissed and that smells nice too. I also sprayed heat rush lightly over original heat and that mixed well for me. I will never be without these now and in warm weather they really do warm up on your skin and smell so nice.

This fragrance is just ok, to me. It’s kinda bipolar. On one hand it’s sugary fruity sweet, while at the same time the patchouli is quite strong and almost a bit masculine. I usually enjoy patchouli, and I don’t not like it here….its just here are so many well done fruity patchouli scents, that I really don’t reach for this very often. It is a lot better after it settles & the patchouli mellows out a bit—but there’s still that bipolar-ness thing going on that is a little weird to me. It’s alright I guess.

I really tried to love this perfum but the smell is too strong and too bitter to me. I also get vintage vibes of it. It smells kind of charming but there is something in the scent that ruins it in my opinion. The only thing I like is the glamorous bottle.

This is absolutely delicious! I feel as if I am eating the most exotic sweet concoction, made of tropical fruits and flowers, and creams and custard and scrumptious pastries! Yummy!!! Very intense smell, and most unusual. Very tart and sweet at the same time. Enveloping and comforting, and very exotic. Very long lasting and great sillage. Well done Beyonce; I think it’s fabulous!!! Gorgeous colour and brilliant bottle too! The whole experience is exhilarating!

Perfume lovers know’s that BEYONCE love putting an orchid notes in her perfume line. There is no perfume of beyonce that doesnt have orchid.. But this MIDNIGHT HEAT that sounds like MIDNIGHT FANTASY oF BRITNEY SPEARS is a PATCHOULI!! I dnt understanf why BEYONCE have a similar name and color perfume to BRITNEY. LOL.. So yes!! This MIDNIGHT HEAT is a patchouli one! Patchouli conquer the notes from the top heart and bottom!! Its like a love and hate. Bcoz when the first time i sniff it and sprayed on my cloths. I was like WTF! Is this expired! I look on the manufacturing date but its not! I look on fragrantica to see the notes. N yes i see the patchouli! Its annoying as fuck! It makes me sneeze. I smell the plum and strong patchouli and from top to base.so i said to my self i have to return it but half of my mind says give it another chance.. So i did! I sprayed it on my neck. And BANG!!!! I love it!! i start to love it day by day. I smell the patchouli tht blends in the plum with star fruit that makes it sour.i still can smell the patchouli in dry down but its smells good coz of sour. So second chances is a good idea.! The longevity and sillage are moderate. Its a strong but after an hour it calms. I love it now and i more love bcpz of the bottle.. Its a dark blue violet from the bottom and fades on top. The sprayer is silver one that different from the other flanker sprayer. Crystal transparent lid with the touch of purple. Yes i love the bottle and one of my top 10 favorite bottle..the box is good with a blue and violet color. Cheap cardboard again. But i stil love it!

This just absolutely did not work for me. I have tested it twice, from different bottles / stores, and I found it simply unpleasant both times. The top notes to me are excessively sweet, jammy and overpowering, followed by a blast of cheap synthetic patchouli, no real balance or sophistication. It’s a shame as normally I love oriental florals and the bottle is gorgeous.

Been bought this THREE TIMES as a present from different people, still have two… to me it smells nice/OK but it is slightly soapy. Not much depth to it I dont think. Pretty bottle though. I keep it in my draw at work incase I forget to bring perfume. Must say I prefer the original Heat.

I absolutely LOVE this perfume. I initially bought this for my teenage daughter, but she didn’t like how it combined with her body chemistry. Luckily, I have a chemistry that I can wear any perfume so decided to give it a try and fell in love with it. Every time I wear it, I get rave compliments. I usually hate patchouli, but the way it is mixed with the plum and star fruit gives it a very mystical allure. Quickly became my “go-to” scent.

  40. :

I usually go for designer perfumes, but I love this, its very original, dark but not heavy, sexy but not loud, expensive smelling, not a typical celebrity fragrance. I get mostly plum but not a childishly fruity sweet juisy plum, but a darker, “adult”, just a breath of plum (but not as non-sweet like in Decadence) with lots of great patchuli

I’m going a take a cheesy page from Strawberry Shortcake here: It’s Berry Berry Patchouli! Somehow it works, and fantastically so.
It seems that the Dragonfruit, Starfruit, and Plum play trickster on that berry there. They’re like a magic act that misdirect their true intention… and I like it.
If I have a complaint, it’s that, after about an hour or so, I forgot I was wearing it, even when sprayed directly to clothes.
-I do reviews of perfumes that are safe for migraine sufferers and aid in easing extreme anxiety. This one neither started nor aggravated a migraine. It also calms me down considerably when I’m dealing with high stress. However, because the scent doesn’t last long, neither does the effect.

Reminds me of star fruit with a patchouli base. It has notes of plum but not a juicy plum/scent, more like the juice vesicles (pulp). The sandalwood is not strong at all but some floral notes are. It’s simply a mix of all the listed things here but in my opinion it’s not a distinctive fruity fragrance. Some fruit notes are more remarkable after a while.
Overall nice, yet not her best, maybe a bit ordinary compared to other Heat’s. I wouldn’t buy this again.

  43. :

Fruity scent at the beginning, after a while it’s the smell of coconut, nice & warm
It’s nightime summer scent/daytime of fall
Imagining nightime being at the beach with my loved ones enjoying beautiful surrounding /just having a good time at home…whatever the nightlife is…i also wear this to bed..

I actually really love this scent. It’s got a definite spicy and sexy feel to it, and when you initially spray it is smells quite sweet but when you have it on for longer it’s more spicy and floral. It’s a perfect fragrance for nighttime 🙂

To me this smells like the sort of cheap perfume you’d find mixed with stale ciggarettes and tequila in a dive bar.

A sniff of the tester had the promising whiff of an exotic noir. But on spraying it I found it way too plummy sweet and cloying. Not a noir at all. I do like the bottles in this range and I wear B’s Rise which I find unusual but lovely. I know the other Heats are fruity sweets but I wish the sweetness had been toned down in this one.

I’m not a fan of Beyoncé’s fragrances in general, but bought this one semi-blind because I was drawn to the notes listed and the colour purple (despite the ugly shaped and difficult to used bottle). Spritzed some on a card and it was ok compared to Wild Heat Orchid which was sickly-sweet so decided to buy it. Reading the notes on here I was intrigued as most are my favorite. So I thought what the hell and bought it.
Although on my skin it did not translate to that description at all for me.
However I was impressed with this cheapie’s longevity; usually such scents disappear on me within 20 mins.
When I got home to try it out, all I got was mostly a weird sour smell like those purple sour gummy lollies eaten as a child. I’m thinking it must be the plum or dragon fruit/star fruit. More floral-fruity than oriental; which was what I was after.
Quite disappointed I can’t smell any of the other notes. Oh well that’ll teach me to blind buy based on notes alone. For now it’s going into the swap drawer and I’ll give it another go again later.

My Mom said this smelled nice on me, and she doesn’t compliment me on perfumes very often. Likely because most perfumes these days don’t have very good sillage, so she just doesn’t notice what I’m wearing. I think what makes this noticeable is the patchouli. Now, having said that, I’m not much of a patchouli fan, but after a bit, the strong patch in this mellows a bit after you wear it. I think this is more “adult” than some of her more recent offerings, and more in keeping with her first perfume, “Heat”.
The patchouli seriously mellows after about the first five minutes, and for me it becomes quite wearable. So many patchouli laden perfumes are just not wearable for me, so I’m glad I’ve found a select few that I can tolerate. The bottle is pretty, and it’s easy to spray(not some odd shaped bottle). I’m glad I got this one, and I wear it quite a bit.

I love the juice, it smells like an odd combination of tropical fruits and spices that works out really well. The lasting power and sillage however is horribly poor. Maybe it’s more potent in the summer.
Although I really dig the scent, I will probably never buy this again because it lasts about an hour on me.

This is my favourite of all the “Heat” fragances (I have tried them all except for “Wild Orchid”).
I must say though, that it feels I lot more simple than all of the notes listed here. I would say it’s basically a combination of the plum with a strong patchouli. It is, therefore, juicy and sexy, but it’s a dark fruity perfume, not a fresh girly one.
The bottle is really cute and the purple color defines perfectly the vibe of this perfume. I have heard some people say it smells a bit synthetic and that’s probably true, but I still really enjoy it for what it is, a juicy and sexy celebrity fragance. I have also seen some people say it doesn’t last long on them, again, it must have something to do with skin chemistry, because if I apply it at night I can still smell it on me in the morning, and that says a lot.
Overall, this is a perfume I always go back to when I feel like wearing something juicy, sexy and fun and I don’t want to use my more expensive perfumes. I really enjoy it!
