Mi Fa Reminiscence for women of Reminiscence

Description

In 2008 Reminiscence has presented the first two fragrances of its “Les Notes Gourmandes” collection – Do Re and Mi Fa. They are created by late Zoé Coste of Reminiscence and Jacques Flori of Robertet and represent the analogy of fragrant, gourmand and musical notes.

Mi Fa is the second fragrance in the collection. Its rhythm is built on the gourmand sweet marshmallow, surrounded by bergamot, mandarin, neroli, ozone, almond, lavender, rosemary, mint, petitgrain, jasmine, black pepper, velvety vanilla, sandal wood and sensual musk. Mi Fa comes as EDT in a pink 100ml (3.4 fl.oz.) bottle.

Mi Fa was created by Zoe Coste and Jacques Flori.

Definitely suitable for those who love the gourmand perfumes with a notable persistence, it is a sweet and almond fragrance, the marshmallows and orange flowers feel good.
I am more than enough a couple of sprays to feel it well on the skin and on clothes even after days!
I bought the 100 ml but unfortunately I have only used half, I can not finish it .. it is too heavy for me that lately I’m using fresher and lighter scents, less dusty!!
I will try to sell it! 🙂

Not for me, but the perfect perfume for those who love gourmand perfumes: I can’t think of a sweeter perfume!
However, it’s a “grown-up” sweet perfume, not something you’d smell on a teenager.
Sillage and longevity are strong too, almost overwhelming.

i just got my authentic bottle today from my personal France shopper 🙂 Lovely lady. Anyways, it’s feminine, a little powder in the background, but I’m on the fence. I will report back. I think I will have to wait for the dry down. I don’t think nothing is going to compare to my beloved Guerlain and Chanel. It almost reminds me of Love’s Baby Soft, or another one similar to that from the same era, which escapes my mind right now. To be determined…….I feel young with this on 🙂
Edit: After spending a day with her, I have decided, at this point, it is not me. I do not get USA marshmallow, I guess it’s the dusted mallows the other review speaks of. It is not really gourmand to me. It is a dressed up Love’s Baby Soft, rich girl dressed up. It’s very people friendly. I get it, it’s nice, but I’m so passed this stage. I just can’t find a comforting marshmallow with orange as much as I try. I will stick with Love by Killian. It’s a tad smokey, but I do get a great marshmallow smell with it. This is a very safe fragrance to wear in a crowd, and probably will work very well on hot hot days, which is a challenge, for me to say the least. Do give it a try before you buy, if you can. I find with this house, the notes do not match at all on my skin. Giving up on Reminiscene. Sa la vie…..

Mi Fa is absolutely delicious! Soft and very feminine but the projection and lasting power is amazing. A couple of sprays lasts for hours on my skin, and on my clothing for days. I find it to be similar to D&G Pour Femme. This fragrance is a beautiful, “grown up” marshmellow scent which isn’t too sweet or cloying.
From the bottle to the scent itself, this perfume is lovely. If you love sweet scents, Mi Fa will satisfy your cravings in the best way!

This scent is absolutely delicious! From reading it was marshmallows in a bottle, I was afraid this would be too sweet, but no! It is soft, sexy and warm. Those marshmallows are made with orange blossom and create a warm, inviting scent that lasts. One of my favourites.

Incredible ! I love gourmand perfumes which smell marshmallow. Mi Fa is certainly among the best ones. It’s so delicate, powdery, sweet and feminine ! And not sickening at all. It smells like an orange blossom marshmallow : delicious and divine ! And the lasting power is excellent.
    I love Mi Fa !

This one is SWEET and I like it very much.
On me it is a very sweet jasmin with almond& vanilla , it stays close to the skin and lasts a couple of hours.

not my type, too sweet but I think it is quite popular due to the very gourmand style of the whole line

I like Mi Fa this is very soft and pretty, more complex than one might think, the scent is sweet in a pretty way, the drydown lovely, with a bit of an aromatic edge.
I like it. But the price is too high for what you get I might add .

Not my kind of fragrance; too sweet. I bought it “blindly” – it turned out as a big mistake. I gave it 2 chances – 2 too many 😉

The first time I saw it, I immediately thought it was one of the thousands almost identical floral-fruity scent we use to find in pink bottles, but I was wrong. This is one of the most beautiful, seductive, addictive perfumes I ve ever smelled. Of course, we re talking about a gourmand kind, so, it s not for everybody!!! But if you like vanilla or sweet scents, that s for you! Personally I find it’s a grown-up kind of gourmand due to the presence of mint-lavander-rosemary accord, royal rather than childlish or girlish, perfect for a winter day.

Got a sample from Reminiscence in Venice, Italy. I cannot detect vanilla notes on my skin. It smells like strong jasmine, neroli, and marshmallow when sprayed and it stayed like that on me. Jasmine gives me a headache…so this isn’t for me.

Unfortunately this doesn’t work at all with my chemistry. I get mothballs plus vanilla, very unpleasant. Reminds me of Jo Malone Rose Water & Vanilla. Try before you buy.

Absolutely disgusting for my taste!…It’s such a long time that I haven’t found a fragrance which makes me sick in this way. :(…..

    Hi,
I had a pink sugar and had to give it away. Instead sniffing this sweet pearl of ocean, I felt in love. And imidiately started to search for it from ebay. And found. Now I have this pink lovely bottle with its delicious juice and I love it. Its not too girlish, just perfect sweet gourmand scent with “kicks” for spring/ summer. And this do not smell cheap. Ahh, I love this scent. *Thumbs Up*

I thought I would like this, but to me it has a certain disharmony of notes. If you want a gourmand perfume from this line, I would rather recommend Si Do – it’s soft and beautiful and more interesting in my opinion.

Sniffed this recently on a trip to Paris and had to have it. What a lovely, wafting gourmand this is! I didn’t have to put it on my skin to know it was love. It’s a red velvet cake minus the chocolate – light, fluffy and airy. Sweet and girlie, a chic Parisian find! This is what I like to refer to as a high end marshmallow or cotton candy. So much more mature than Aquolina’s Pink Sugar; they don’t compare. If you want to smell sweet, love gourmands and don’t want to smell like your local State Fair (not that I have a problem with this at all, but I know some others do) or risk smelling too young, give this European treasure a whirl.

Wow,this is so,lovely and sweet,it gives me a good feeling, the fragrance does remember me at my childhood, and it’s feminine enough to wear it all day long, and i love this bottle.

Klonk and Spohywt are right. I also smell a soft cotton candy. To me, this perfume is a softer version of Pink Sugar (not exactly the same) but I see similairities. It is a nice fragrance though, but very expensive. It is nice and sweet and fun, but if you are looking for this kinda fragrance, just give Pink Sugar a try. You will save yourself a lot of money.

I didnt get to the cotton candy part because of the strong synthetic smell before the drydown. I think it was the combo of jasmine neroli and musk. It was pretty nasty. And waaaaaay too expensive to have any issues.. And I too could not get this off. Too bad 🙁 The bottle sure is pretty.

I recently give it a full try.
Agree with klonk, for the first several hours, it makes me feel like “have a bath with cotton candy”, very sweet but it won’t choke you up even in the hotest summer day – another good news for gourmand fans. And as I apply same quantity(about 5 sprays), Mi Fa doesn’t turn to almond bitterness as Do Re. The drydown is well balanced, not too vanilla nor too patchouli.

Pure cotton candy on my skin (or marshmellow as described above). Did not get any other notes than that. Very, very sweet and gourmand. I think it is a girly scent for summer. The staying power is great (could not wash it of as easy as I liked…)!
