While it isn’t listed,, I get something refreshingly sour. Nothing is heavy here and the fragrance ends up more than the sum of its parts. I don’t pick up the individual notes.

Metafora is an easy wear. It’s a jasmine with sweet clarity, sparkling with warmth, yet cooling a the same time. Perhaps even a little soapy.
There is even a slightly woody undertone, reminiscent of papery ginger skins.
Not an outstanding fragrance, yet Metafora is very approachable and a good clean white flower option for warmer weather.

Judging by the notes I was expecting something exotic and spicy, like warm Hawaiian nights. I was picturing a luao wirh a pig roasting in a fire, a distant volcano spewing lava, spattering the night sky red. This perfume is anything but that. It smells musky, clean, and sweet, like a proper English lady wearing a linen suit and one of those huge hats tipped to one side. Jasmine is definitely there when I sniff up close, but on the whole it smells like a soapy white floral. It reminds me a lot of Blanc de Paris by Scent on Canvas. They are both clean white florals, but their quality is above par, so I would not categorize them as inoffensive or bland–they are quite nice. I would recommend this to someone who has been wearing White Linen for many years and wants something simpler and more modern.

Nice boring, innofensive, and kinda pretty. Very short lived, not much of a sillage, and without a doubt…extremely overprised for what it is.

Very nice, even though the main notes (pink pepper, jasmine and ginger) are common in perfumery, the result is refreshing and new.
The opening is a blast of ginger and pink pepper, but not in a spicy way, more in a fresh/natural way. Immediately when the jasmine starts to appear, the scent turns a little fruity, like a light sweet honeydew. Then the jasmine grows and stays as the base of the composition.
In my opinion Metafora is slightly more feminine than unisex, especially after the opening and before the drydown when the jasmine is quite prominent.
Still, this is another wonderful fragrance by Fueguia 1833.

The fragrance opens with a *very* modern pink pepper and ginger accord. It feels transparent, refreshing and fizzy in an extremely safe way. Almost boring. A clean jasmine note makes its appearance right away driving the fragrance towards pale-florals territories. Inoffensive but extremely well played. The drydown is smooth, elegant, nicely refined and much better than the opening yet, somewhat, the fragrance fails to coalesce into something outstanding.
Overall I’d say the Metafora has two very distinct phases. The opening which is clean / transparent, sort of invigorating and spicy, and the drydown with a nice rendition of jasmine which feels girly and cheerful as opposed to the luxurious-indolic-oriental one.
Review for the EDP.
Quick note: This line would have made a terrific option for anyone into minimalistic yet well orchestrated fragrances. Everything about their compositions is *very honest* and likable except their prices.

Metafora (Borjes Collection): Pink pepper, jasmine, ginger – YES! Watery, cool, soothing, yet puffs of spicy, elevating surprises of both ginger root and flower. The sometimes overt sweetness of jasmine is tamed by pink pepper. Wafts for hours and hours. Sillage is great, but does not beat you over the head. I LOVE this one!
