Description
In October 2016, a new fragrance by A Lab on Fire comes out with the descriptive name Messy Sexy Just Rolled Out of Bed. The founder of the brand Carlos Kusubayashi wanted to create a fragrance that expresses awakening the senses after a passionate night, inspired by photographs of Marilyn Monroe in bed shot in 1961 by Douglas Kirkland. According to Kusubayashi, these photographs show the intimacy of the famous actress with its light and atmosphere, representing the quintessence of being sexy.
The fragrance was developed by perfumer Dominique Ropion who tried to capture these images in a bottle. Bergamot and peach blossom in the top blend with the heart of Turkish rose and heliotrope. The warm, oriental and sweet base includes musk, cashmere, toffee, vanilla, amber, sandalwood and tonka bean.
Messy Sexy Just Rolled Out of Bed is available in bottles of 60 ml.

I can see why many people love this scent. It’s soft, and powdery, and sweet, and floral. It’s dreamy. But it’s just too much for me. Out of bottle, I thought this smelled so great, but a few minutes of wearing this and I have a migraine. I applied two sprays and it was far too much. I appreciate the combination of fragrances, but the scents blend almost too well – like a manufactured, clean fragrance – like a plug in air freshener. Too powdery for me and it doesn’t evoke enough uniqueness for me to wear it again.

This is so well blended it just makes me smell edible and undone. From the vial, I thought it would be a cheap marshmallow fluff mess. On my skin, it’s smoother than powder, sweet in a vanilla tonka way, both soapy (sandalwood?) and dirty at the same time. In a good way (not stank like Angel). Fortunately the sillage is softer than What We Do in Paris Is Secret.

This is like a very sweet thick white cloud of sugar and creaminess. Vanilla, tonka and heliotrope are definitely very strong, but the gourmand note here is not toffee to my nose, but marshmallows and cotton candy.
I do smell the bergamot, especially in the beginning it’s actually quite sharp, but it’s not strong enough to cut through the sweetness. Over the time it calms down and the peach blossom and warm fuzzy cashmere wood become more pronounced.
But the main thing I smell is just sweetness, sugar and vanilla.
Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed is delicious and for sure pleasant for every gourmand lover, but I think it’s also a bit boring instead of sexy. It’s intense, it projects very well, but I think there are so many more interesting and overall better gourmands on the market, also for much better prices, that I would never buy this weirdly named perfume.

Clean musky sweet cream.
It’s like a soapy sweet vanillic blend. It has that effect of “Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed” factor! it has tonka, vanilla, cream, heliotrope, caramel, musk , and amber.
The colder it goes the more caramalic & soapy it become with some musk for some twisting animalic.
Nice blend.
Edit (3rd Jan 2017) This juice is massively powerful! i applied around 4 sprays and i was almost suffocated. Do not use in bed, and never use it when you are having intimacy time unless you apply a single spray on your skin, no more than that.

I’ve had this for some time now,but I don’t use it at all really. The name fits the fragrance perfectly. It does smell messy and it does smell like a fragrance that you put on before you went to bed. It’s a bit too messy for my liking, I would prefer a different ratio between the notes so that I could identify them more easily, but this is just a personal preference, others may prefer it as it is.

Some perfumes have poetic names. Some have clever names. Some have fascinating names. And some, like Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed, have eloquent names. How more appropriately would someone had named a fragrance of cashmere pajamas, dried roses, sweet breath, melted toffee and sweat? I just can’t imagine of a more suitable name for this sweet, mischievous, lovely creation. Messy Sexy Just Rolled out of Bed opens with a sweet blast of vanilla and heliotrope, with a touch of sandalwood, which is quickly overshadowed by sweet, intoxicating amber and spicy tonka bean. After this, a soft but dark and spicy rose comes in, quickly followed by musk, until it all settles into a bed of cashmere wood. Nothing new, nothing groundbreaking… Just a sweet, lovely, comfortable and quite familiar scent. Strong resemblance to Zadig & Voltaire This is Her! I like it.

This is an incredibly sweet fragrance, and not in a good way. Vanilla+toffee+tonka is enough to give you a sugar rush and make your teeth rot. It’s like nowadays both designer and niche houses compete who’s gonna launch the sweetest fragrance in the world… Well, here we have a strong contender.

Just got my sample,I must say this is lovely, like a dreamy soft cozy sweet scent, there is a certain brightness in the top notes, must be the bergamot, then it is all cozy warm sweetness , tonka bean, heliotrophe, nothing overdone, like it is almost an intimate scent, I would buy it in a flash, if it wasn’t similar to Zadig and Voltaire this is her which I own, and love..they have the same vibe, maybe the lab is brighter in the top notes…that stuff isn’t easy to find, I had to order my sample from Germany..I love the soft amber in the base too…I might still get a bottle, I love everything about it! The fact that it opens up nicely too in the base.
I had a sample of mon musc a moi, This is a different scent, although it isnt drastically different .
