Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweet opening. A surprisingly true rose, not a powdery rose but sweet and green like real ones. All else I get from the opening is candied blackcurrant, also sweet and adding tartness. Looking at the notes, though, grenadine also makes sense, for pomegranate and sugar syrup. I don’t get the mint at all.
Fortunately, the excessive sweetness and sharpness passes after a while. It was fun for a bit, but not bearable for long! The violet emerges, the rose lingers, the powderiness develops, and what is left is soft and lovely and surprisingly close to the skin. If it is like candy on the drydown, it is like Parma violets and Australian musk sticks.
Really surprised that the main accord is listed as woody. Not something I would use to describe this at all.
Longevity is frankly terrible.
