My Grandma has this bottle and I have been curious to smell it but I always forget. This morning I just went for it and used a swipe. I couldn’t help but wonder where I had smelled this but I was most certain that I definitely have smelled this. It smells like mehndi (Henna) which also translates to me as leather-patchouli with vetiver. I don’t get any of the listed notes so I sat there thinking hard and then it came to me. It can be said that it is the extract version of Jovoy Private Label, missing the nuances and the natural semi-sweet aura of the edp but is exactly that! It’s blend quality is on par with Jovoy too.
This is not good news when I have just recently spent so much money on buying Private Label. Makes me wonder if niche Orientals are worth paying so much money for anymore. I am sure people can understand and relate to my predicament…
People should give this a go, it doesn’t cost a bomb and the quality is pretty good for a cheapie as opposed to it’s outer casing.

I bought this one for the packaging, but oh I really am not impressed. It’s very unbalanced, and it feels like there are whole notes missing. The aroma is at the front of your nose and back of your throat without any satisfaction in between. Geranium and Oudh are two nuanced and beautiful aromas I really wouldn’t sully with this description. This is a Glade Air Freshener of a fragrance, if anyone wants some just take it away from me, I cannot imagine ever wearing it again and am just going to shower and scrub it away. Not my wisest buy, and may you save yourself the trouble and headaches. I still love the packaging, mind.

Meeqat Gold is for people who crave for wearable velvet oud with sandalwood and musk. Once again, not hard to find the parallel among few other Al Haramains, this one is the closest mix to Night Dreams. For first 15 or so minutes on skin it is as woody-musky as it gets, – like a buzz of a heavy bumblebee, then gets significantly sweeter and you starting to smell rose, but not in an open floral way, Meeqat still will be woody-oudy with some spicy nuances. It is softer than Night Dreams, more aromatic due to fruity-something in the heart.
The presentation is very nice, took me 30 seconds to decide how to open the outer box – you must press on the gemstone from the side and the lid will rise, inside is a small, but extremely heavy for the size bottle.

Perfume bottle with gold in Mikat present a collection of “Al Haramain.” They create a warm, oriental aura exclusively with mild sweetish notes. Top note draws warm woody scents of sandalwood and then is introduced gentle spice of oriental spices and amber. Basic components of complete formation of stable warm plume using musk and vanilla tones. Perfume is enclosed in a gold bottle with the inscription in Arabic script and stones ruby color. To this proposed package, made in the same style, which will make a very impressive gift.
