In January 2016, Britney Spears launches her new perfume within the Fantasy line, a limited edition called Maui Fantasy. This fragrance is her 19th in a row and the 13th of the Fantasy collection.
“Whenever I have a chance to relax and spend time with my family, we escape to Hawaii. Maui is one of my favorite islands. I wanted to create a fragrance that gives me the amazing feeling I have while I’m there – surrounded by the ocean and beautiful flowers. Every time I smell Maui fantasy, it brings me back to a place of happiness and relaxation,” said Britney.
The fragrance opens with a mouthwatering combination of bird of paradise flower, pink grapefruit and passion fruit. The heart is a heady mix of beachy florals such as hibiscus petals, cyclamen, orange blossom and tiare flower (Hawaiian monoi). The base brings a warm and sensual aura with accords of coconut, vanilla, blue musk, white amber and beachy blonde woods.

Smells so good! Yummy tropical fun scent. I sprayed this before going to bed, when I wake up there’s this common soapy scent, almost identical to the complimentary soaps that you get when staying in hotels, weird. But I do love it! Especially the top and middle notes. Bathe me in thisss pls. If you’re into At The Beach Fragrance Mist by Bath & Body Works, definitely worth it to try this out! This is quite similar, but sweeter and yummier!

This was a blind buy for me. I didnt like it at first but for some reason I kept putting it on. My persistence worked because I really enjoy wearing it now. Its sweet but not too sweet. All notes are very soft and mild. It’s a perfect summer scent. The problem is that it doesnt last at all. Unfortunately this is not uncommon with fruity floral scents in my opinion.

Wow! This smells beautiful! It is similar to j.lo’s Miami glow but much better! Much cleaner and more “blue” smelling if that makes any sense. J.Lo’s Miami glow is sweeter and stickier smelling. This Definitely reminds me of what Hawaii would smell like. My new favorite perfume!

Looking back on my previous review, I believe that I have more to say. First of all, the silage isn’t great, but the lasting power is amazing. Haven’t exactly counted the hours, but it lasts me all day (I spray twice on the wrists, once on each side of the neck and four-ish times on the body). The scent itself is mainly passion fruit with a coconut note. Smells just like a tropical fruit juice drink. I layer it with some Body Shop coconut body butter to bring out that note, which takes it to a whole ‘nother level for me. It smells quite similar to Nicki’s Pinkprint, but less soapy and with less coconut. I would also say that JLo’s Miami Glow is a fair comparison, though MG is more aggressive and sharp. The bottle looks like something but Hannah Montana, kind of early 2000s tacky, which I think suits Britney’s brand, so, overall, no complaints.

I was skeptial due to the reviews, but I purchased a 100ml bottle and I don’t regret it. It smells like coconut and passionfruit juice to me. Fresh, very different from other Fantasy perfumes. The bottle looks cheap in images, but is definitely better in person.

Still on the search for a britney perfume that i do not like!! I tried a lot (at least 6 for now i would say) and they are all sooo goood!!! Since i tend to prefer fresh scents, This one is probably my favorite so far! It’s true that it’s very similar to Miami Glow wich I love too! But since it as a little more freshness I think I prefer this one over Miami Glow! And for the price?? My god!! It’s a winner!

Pink grapefruit, pineapple, a little suntan lotion and Tiaré. Nice tropical scent. I think I’ll buy a coconut lotion to layer with this one. On the dry down I can smell hints of Miami Glow, but to be honest it’s an undertone only. On top of that is tropical fruit and tropical flowers. Not so much the deep hot in your face suntan lotion scent that Glow has. Glow is a bit headache inducing. Maui is pretty and a safe Summer scent for ages 16-99. If you like Miami Glow but not the harshness of it, try Maui Fantasy. Very happy with this one

So I only tested this once and therefore the review is based on a single wear. I was not prepared to give it another chance. Don’t get me wrong, it is not a bad scent, it smells like coconut/passion fruit fabric softener or hair conditioner, and as such I’d say it smells lovely. But as a personal perfume? Think it would make a pleasant sofa and linen spray if used sparingly. Could appeal to pre-teen/early teens. Very soft sillage and no staying power on me.

A coconutty side of Fantasy. Everyone it seems here wears fantasy original so interested more so in the flankers. I love circus, hidden, intimate, rocker, and hidden fantasy. Not a fan of island overly unfortunately but I’ll try it again. . I think.in Bloom is just ok. It was a bit generic for me. She definitely does cute bottles I love those big balls with dismantles especially! Anyway Maui is tropical and coconutty so if that’s up your alley you’ll love it.

This is one of if not my number one favorite Britney scent ever. It’s so different than anything else in her line. I find it bright, refreshing and clean. It is very similar to Miami Glow, which has been mentioned many times but there are little differences. This doesn’t have the hit sand note Miami Glow has. They’re both good fragrances and I like both. I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite though.

I bought this on a whim based on the low price one day. I love the Midnight Fantasy. But this smells like ice cream to me and although it is airy it also has some oily base (I don’t know how else to describe it) that becomes physically nauseating for me and makes me want to puke… I had to give it away.

I bought this blindly today as it was £10 in the store today and my perfume greed got the best of me. As they did not have the tester I came here on fragrantica on my phone and looked up the reviews. Then bought it hoping to smell something nice. Big disappointment! To me it smells like icecream and lasts for just one second then it is gone. I sprayed on my wrist when I left the store and 5 minutes later when I got home, was gone. I don’t understand what the fuss here is all about…

Almost identical to Jlo Miami Glow, in fact you can only tell there is a slight difference when compairing them side by side. Jlo is the same scent but more bold and tart and BS Maui is a touch softer. I wouldn’t bother buying this one if you already have the Jlo cause they are basically identical. I couldn’t help but to buy it cause I love and collect ALL Britney frags and the bottle design is really cute!!

Maui Fantasy is a beautiful Summer fragrance, a scent I very much look forward to wearing when the temperature gauge hits over 30 degrees celsius. It’s both beachy and fruity fresh on my skin, almost like the scent of a coconut scented shampoo.
Admittedly Maui Fantasy is not super unique, it is however one of the nicest Britney Spears flankers in recent years. I am pleased to find that Maui Fantasy doesn’t smell anything like Island Fantasy, which I had initially feared it would.
On my skin Maui Fantasy is quite sweet and smooth with the subtlest hint of clean fruitiness. It’s a fragrance that I’m sure will appeal to many as it is quite versatile and inoffensive.
I am thrilled to bits that Maui Fantasy does not smell like the original Fantasy re-bottled, meaning it’s its own stand-alone fragrance. Maui Fantasy also has bold sillage and excellent longevity which only adds to its appeal.
I am tentative to purchase a bottle at this present point in time as I am currently in the midst of a cold Winter season, however come Summer I would not be surprised if I bought a bottle of Maui Fantasy to add to my Britney Spears collection.

When I smelt this I felt that there was a whole fruit basket chucked in here but the real notes only says it has coconut and passionfruit while I smell something like raspberries and mangoes, either way this scent is perfect for summer!! It’s fruity,sunny,sweet and feminine.

So, I have had this for three months now, and though I don’t often wear it, with the oppressive heat and humidity that has been the weather of late in my area, it’s perfect. I have had such a craving for this juicy little treat today that I immediately came home and sprayed it!
Is it sophisticated? No. Does it smell nice? Oh, yes. Is it fun? Absolutely. I did review this when I first got it, but the weather was cooler. Maui Fantasy does best in the heat, I find. I cannot separate distinct notes but it is certainly tropical.
Sillage and projection are not overwhelming, especially after a good 15 minutes. Maui Fantasy sits close to the skin for several hours. It’s fun, juicy, and fruity. I tried a niche sample that everyone said was succulent and fruity but I did not find that sample half as fruity as Maui Fantasy.

Alright. Gonna get lengthy here but stick with me folks, I’m gonna give you a good run down on what you need to know.
This scent is gorgeous. I voted on it with a “like” but it’s a very strong like, right on the edge of a “love.” Now sometimes I think people confuse the “This Perfume Reminds Me Of” poll. It doesn’t have to be a dupe for me to vote for a fragrance “reminding me” of another. It can be just similar. Nicki Minaj’s fragrance…THAT is a disrespectful, blatant dupe of JLO’s Miami Glow. This one…is not. It is VERY similar but it is not a dupe. They are different. It’s funny actually because the difference in the scents…is very clearly and well-represented by the packaging. JLO’s Miami Glow smells more “golden bronze” if you know what I mean. It smells slightly more sunscreen-ish, slightly more beach-ish, and a tad bit more heavy and bold. Whereas this fragrance…instead smells more of a airy “blue and white” type of translation. Instead of being as much in the “beachy vein” it’s a very similar smell, aiming more towards the direction of an “airy” or “dryer-sheet vein.” But again…very similar. This could easily be a flanker of Miami Glow…but Miami Glow is already a flanker of JLO’s Original Glow lol. But I can easily see this as being Miami Glow Fresh or Miami Glow Breeze, something to that effect.
Anyway…this fragrance is very well blended. I also voted for this as a “Medium Longevity” but that also…is on the strong side of medium. I spray this on at 8:00AM and it lasts me up until about 2PM, my lunch hour which is about 6 hours. Same goes for projection. Moderate, but on the stronger side of moderate. It projects about 4 feet for the first few hours, then tapers in closer to you.
Like a lot of previous reviewers…I much prefer the original bottle design with the crystals on them as opposed to this “frosted, floral” new design. To me, they look cheaper, but Britney always makes VERY IMPRESSIVE scents so I try to be appreciative of that not really say anything negative about them as the scent is MUCH more important to me than the look of the bottle. If I were absolutely forced to choose one…I must say I would choose Miami Glow over this one, but NOT by much.
In closing, I would like to show some appreciation to Britney’s fragrance line and say that in terms of celebrity scents…her fragrances are right up there at the very top, along with Paris Hilton’s scents, and JLOs. Those 3 are hands down the best when it comes to always releasing impressive scents. Beyoncé, Katy Perry, along with many others need to take a note or two from those three and their teams.
Scent Itself : 8.5 out of 10.
Longevity – 8/10
Projection – 8/10
Overall Score – 8/10. After considering the low price tag…maybe even a 9. This scent is beautiful. It really is. Perfect for someone who liked the idea of JLO’s Miami Glow but prefers something a tad bit fresher. Big thumbs up Britney! You never let us down!

This one really surprised me. When I first smelled it I thought it was nice…very tropical, summery, etc. But then I loved it. The dry down reminds me of shampoo or soap. I would still classify it in the tropical family, but much cleaner than most tropical scents. It doesn’t reek of suntan lotion. Instead it’s reminiscent a summer shampoo. If you don’t fall in love with it at first sniff give it a few minutes. My only complaint is that I wish they kept the bottle consistent with the rest of the Fantasy line and kept the crystals. But I’m sure this one was a bit cheaper to make. Oh well, it’s not important, what’s important is this perfume smells great. Britney has done it again. I don’t think there is a bad perfume in the Fantasy lineup.

Ew yuck. There are some good Britney’s and there are some bad Britney’s and in my opinion, Maui Fantasy is her worst. Just a yucky sickly sweet blast of synthetic tropical fruit that at least fades very quickly. No coconut ,no musk, can’t pick out any individual floral notes. I am surprised how many people seem to sincerely like this one. Ok I do kind of get the dryer sheet reference maybe like a tropical fruit Snuggle?

I was SO excited when I found this at Ross for 9.99 (1.7oz) Hadnt smelled before but based on reviews I thought this would be the perfect summer scent to add to my collection. Well, almost. When first sprayed I did get the tropical sweet coconut mix most others do but upon dry down I smell exactly, and I mean EXACTLY like a Downy dryer sheet. It wasnt just me either, I had my hubby and daughter sniff. None of us got coconut, or tropical fruit. So back to Ross it went and the search continues….

This is a lovely tropical, feminine fragrance. I smell coconut, light florals and passionfruit. It really does conjure up a Hawaiian beach for me. It’s sweet but not headache-inducing sweet. I’m not a huge fan of celebrity frags but Britney does have some good ones.

The first spray I thought reminds me my ‘ Summer Dreams’ by Hawaiian tropics. But the dry down feels more bitter ( shampooing kinda smell) not a bad thing in my opinion. I will do my best: the musk is like a cotton candy musk, but this is not like cotton candy perfume. I detect citrus mixed in, and honey. This is just lovely!!!!

I like it a lot. It has 3 or 4 notes, well combined/balanced, so you can’t just point out only one prominent one. These notes are: grapefruit, coconut, hibiscus, tiare. It’s firmly tropical, summery, exotic and light fragrance. Makes me imagine some shores, cocktails, enormous hats, bikini and scorching sun. For an EDT it’s expectedly poorly lasting, but for the price, you can’t question it.

This is a fun scent! While it is not a dupe of Bronze Goddess (like I was hoping) it is a cute, tropical, summery scent. Initial application was the very essence of a piña colada. Drydown is a beachy, warm, sunscreen-ish. Good deal for the price.

I think if someone has not experienced a ton of perfumes & notes, they may think this is J Lo Glow. I see a tiny resemblance in the first 2 minutes. Then, I smell the fresh Laundry, & even the grape Hubba Bubba, sweet bubble gummy smell others have mentioned. Together it is everything to remind you of Hawaii, wrapped up in one. I like it. I had one of the best vacations in Hawaii and I collect the Fantasy line, so naturally this flanker is a must have. I own Fantasy Rocker Femme, Midnight, Hidden, Anniversary, Circus and Intimate. Anyways, this Maui Fantasy although is an EDT, it’s so potent that even its box got scented. First impression… It does capture the mood of Hawaii. I smell mostly plumeria and coconut, and I’m a huge coconut fan. Overall, a fun and young scent, a scent for beach holiday or if you want to be reminded of one.

Sweet fruity and coco-nutty. A little clean smelling as well.
In the beginning it smells very artificial but quickly turns into a sweet coconut-fruit scent.
Youthful and fun.
This reminds me of Gucci Premiere ( which I was not too keen on at first).
Both are actually really nice once they are seattled into the skin.

This was a pleasant surprise in my local TJ Maxx. I got to spray some diligently and I will say it’s a well made Fantasy.
The coconut in this is so milky and fresh. I can be quite discerning when it comes to coconut, I dislike cloying or ‘too’ synthetic coconut but here it is done quite well. I prefer this to Island Fantasy. I would recommend this to someone looking for a fun scent for their summer vacay.

This is the third perfume i bought this january of 2017 together with the naughty remix fantasy. I bought this 100ml for $30 usd. Its a blind buy and i wonder how it smells like. I love the box. Its different from the other perfume box. I unboxed it and when u take off the white box inside the outer box. U can see the hisbiscus cutting line. I like the blue color or the box also. Its so youngster! The bottle is pretty amazing. The cap is transparent, bottle is a frosted icy blue with a print of hisbiscus, with a clear liquid. The sprayer is gold with a cheap white ribbon. So i love the packaging n the bottle. The scents surprise me. Its a happy scents. Its a summery scents. It also have a resemblance to 1d our moment perfume. I can smell the coconut in this perfume and the passion fruit. With a musk and hint of vanilla. I love it. The sillage is good. But not sure about the longevity if how many hours it wil last on my skin. So kudoz to britney. I love love it.. Good for summertime.,

Here I am three days before Christmas buying gifts for myself when I’m out shopping for my kids lol I’m sure all my perfume-aholics can appreciate 🙂 so while at Winners tonight I noticed they had done a pretty nice discount on several fragrances and this was one of them. It was only $17.00 for a 50 MLS bottle,Canadian dollars that is. I had wanted to try this since it came out and I hadn’t found a tester of it anywhere. So I thought its less than twenty dollars why not blind buy it. I’m glad I did, I really like it. I have to admit, there isn’t many of her perfumes I like. Honestly I think this is the first one. This almost reminds me of an Escada type scent. Its very summery, beachy type scent. I can smell the coconut, but not in an over powering type of way. I love this!

Just bought this for £7 from Perfume-Click… I know it’s the time of giving, but I couldn’t resist such a bargain!
Packaging, as with all Britney perfumes, is lovely. This box is a bright blue adorned with pink flowers and white cut-outs. It would make a lovely gift!
The bottle is a pretty frosted blue with a white and pink flower on the front. I like the little glass lid too! My first impression was that it looks a bit cheap, but I’ve sort of grown a little fond of it now.
Opening spray was straight up J-Lo’s Miami Glow. No difference what so ever. It’s that sort of balmy, beachy perfume that makes you think you’re on holiday. No complaints from me, but I would have liked something a little different.
Then the soft fruits come in. I have to admit, this smells good. Like a tropical cocktail. I close my eyes and take a deep breath and I can imagine paradise.
This is a summer perfume, no doubts about that.
Now, to keep it or give it to someone for Christmas… I haven’t decided yet. I like it, but I don’t love it.

I love the frosted aqua blue glass bottle. Lasts long on the skin, the scent of this Hawaii Island. My whole day has an aura of this Island, a clear beachy floral. If you like it, you like it, if you don’t, you really don’t.

This is the perfume equivalent of a tropical fruity cocktail. While my prefered drink is top shelf and neat or on the rocks, every once in a while it’s nice to put on a cute summer dress, meet up with a girlfriend at a patio bar, and order the frou frou fruity cocktail during happy hour. But just one! And I certainly can’t load up on all this sugary sweetness every day. However, unlike the happy hour priced fruity cocktail, Maui Fantasy is strong. Again, maybe it’s because I’m sensitive to sweets, but I can’t wash this stuff off!

The longevity and sillage are both moderate so that’s a plus I guess.
*I never got a bottle of this I was just disappointed that it wasn’t more of a tropical fruity scent with a name like Maui Fantasy.
I see other reviews mentioning how this smells like Jlo’s Miami Glow and I don’t smell that at all in this perfume.

but i went in the store today to get viva la juicy gold and came across this.
so i decided to smell it…..
the FIRST thing i said to myself was…..
“ugh!, this is j-lo’s miami glow!” – and it is!
to me this is 100% EXACTLY the same as miami glow.
and miami glow is one of my MOST HATED perfumes in the world.
anyways i did not like this at all….
its too citrusy and the grapefruit is too strong for me.
btw: instead i tried the new “private show” by britney and it was Stunning.

I love this. It smells nothing like anything else in the “Fantasy ” family and I love it even more because of it. That’s not yo say I don’t like some of the Fantasy flankers….in fact “Rocker Femme fatale ” is my favorite out of the fantasy family. Maui is missing the cupcake sugar smell that’s a part of all the other Fantasy scents. And that’s what I love about it. Its tropical fruit, it’s tropical flowers it has a gorgeous drydown where coconut makes a breif appearance, the overall composition is beautiful. It exceeded my expectations for a Fantasy flanker. Britney should make more scents like these and less of the ones that smell like frosting with genet ( intimate edition, collecting dust in my closet. Congrats with Maui Fantasy, on a job very well done

Yet another gorgeous scent by Britney Spears! I feel like this particular Fantasy is one of her most natural scents, like Curious and believe. It has a very fruity smell along with a tiny bit of florals. Very tropical, recommended for the summer or any warmer days during the year. Definitely another departure from Britney’s typical Fantasy flankers, doesn’t have that extreme vanilla musky smell that most of the Fantasies do, which also leads to the lasting power. I sprayed the tester on my hand and it unfortunately only lasted an hour or so. I am still going to pick up a bottle because its just too gorgeous, and that being a limited edition perfume I ain’t missing this perfect opportunity to by myself one with summer just around the corner!
I rate this perfume a 7/10. I am still yet to trial this perfume out a little more, so I will possibly make a second impression of this in the coming months. I will admit, not a huge fan of the packaging, its vibrant which is what I love however I wish she had maybe put in some white gems around the bottle like she does with her traditional Fantasy perfumes. The scent is definitely an easy wear as well as an easy buy. Recommend this to anyone who loves summer vibes, fruity scents and tropical vibes.

I see that people are voting that this is similar to Miami Glow, I think Maui Fantasy is better because of the way the notes are mixed together. I don’t think Maui Fantasy is 100% like Miami Glow there are differences. maybe 75% similar.

I was eagerly waiting for this perfume, but it hit me with its overly artificial nature. Namely it has a strong pineapple note, and overall it smells just like car freshener, or those little (tropical scented) car perfumes you know of. They smell good, but I guess not on skin. Every single Fantasy by Britney are artificial compositions, true that, but this one felt way too much for me.

really love this scent, i am torn between this and fancy by Jessica Simpson as my signature scent and it driving my crazy lol, both are very different, maui fantasy is such a fresh, clean and tropical smell, i get mostly a pineapple note at first with a little floral and when dry down i get hair conditioner smell which i love feels like you have stepped of of the shower feeling clean and fresh

I had to buy this just because I have a soft spot for Britney and always buy her fragrances, so it needed to be added to the collection. Having said that some of my favourite perfumes are hers, so I am usually quite partial to them. This however is leaving me a little underwhelmed. It’s nice enough, it’s sweet, it’s fruity. Maybe I’m just over the fruity floral thing. On me I don’t get any vanilla and can’t really make out too much in the way of the floral. I know theres no grape listed but on my skin. (Not on a tester card) it smells exactly like grape hubba bubba. Which isn’t a bad smell but not really want a thirty something yr old woman wants to smell like. I have tried and will be buying her new pillar fragrance though. That’s a gorgeous one.

I got a strong association to hawaiian breeze air freshner when I first spayed this, but it’s mellowed now and I keep sniffing the spot I sprayed thinking maybe I could like wearing this in summer. I’m completely anosmic to coconut so it’s all fruity floral to me, but it’s a nice combination of tropical fruits and flowers, sweet and fresh. It gives me the feeling of drinking fruit cocktails by a swimming pool with a tropical garden nearby.

Beautiful opening, nice middle, OK dry down.
Not sure of price, it’s an EDT though so not likely I would buy as they don’t have the longevity I wish.
This is like a creamy fruity, not like some of her others that I’ve tried. I’ve tried the very sweet round pink one

The angular one with light green juice
The curious one
Maui isn’t like these, Maui doesnt smell nasty like some celeb frags
It lasted a couple hours thereabouts

This is such a beautiful scent. I’m so glad I got it! I really smell the tiare flower in this. I’m so impressed with the longevity of this, especially being and EDT. I put it on after my shower and can still smell it wafting around me as I write this over 10 hours later. I can see myself using this a lot on hot days. Wish I would have purchased it earlier in the summer!

This is a tropical version of Fantasy. It has that unmistakable sweetness from the original plus the strong fruitiness. It is uplifiting and comforting at the same time. Unfortunately, it does not lasts very long, but it is a good summer fragrance, specially if you like the original one and want your summer fume to be gourmand too.

There’s definately a coconut scent but it’s not rich and creamy, it’s more light and fresh. Overall a fruity scent with coconut and hints of some floral notes.
It’s very nice but not her best.

Blimey! This is a compliment getter! I’ve had 4 people say “You smell nice, what’s that?” even a security guard! I didn’t slather myself in it either! It’s actually just really nice. A sort of clean sheets, coconut and pineapple, sun-tan lotion vibe. Also, it was cheap! (always a bonus) I got it for £15.50 for 100ml in The Perfume Shop. Personally I would’ve preferred a smaller size, so that I could carry it in my handbag without breaking my shoulder, but, such is life. I will sacrifice my posture to be able to have top-up spritzes throughout the day!

I love Miami Glow. I wear that one almost everyday. If they are so similar can gladly wait till Maui fantasy is more available. And describing Miami glow as ” heavy” is definitely not how id describe it but I do love it, so maybe another bottle of that until Maui Fantasy comes around my way or my affordability. I just can’t wait for that Tiare Flower though!Sounds wonderful!

I saw a review on here about the drydown smelling like Reb’l Fleur by Rihanna. Agreed, but only the first spray of Reb’l Fleur. When Reb’l Fleur dries down, the two dont smell alike. Maui Fantasy is a more lighter version of it once its dried.

As noted. Complete copy of Jennifer Lopez’s “Miami Glow” I mean. Exactly the same scent. Not one single linear note different. The exact same scent. The musk. The suntan lotion. Ocean beach peaches orange warm coffee scent it’s all there. I will say. Miami Glow almost wears too heavy to the point of a headache. I think due in part of the “musk”. But the Maui Fantasy is less musk heavy and a tad bit more fruity/sunny. I want it to complete the Fantasy collection.
Also. I will not buy till I can find a 3.4OZ bottle. 1-1.7 & 2 OZ bottles. Waste. Plus to complete my collection gotta have all the bottles the same 3.4O
