Description
After last year’s edition Mauboussin Pour Elle we are presenting a new edition by Mauboussin – a more feminine and luminous contrasting perfume which arrives in shops this year!
The new edition is more luminous, lighter and aiming at women with free spirit. Last year’s Mauboussin Pour Elle is created to accentuate the essence of femininity and to leave a significant fragrant trail, while the new Mauboussin Rose Pour Elle is quite the opposite – flirtatious and blooming with rose petals and red berries.
Rose in the new fragrance is the leading object in the composition, the main notes which promises happiness and love, while rose-pink color is the color of femininity, gentleness and sensuality. Game of words in the name announces an edition which attracts attention of women of all ages who prefer luminous freshness and intense notes.
Top notes of the fragrances open with black currant buds lightened with natural citruses cocktail (Sicilian tangerine, Calabrian bergamot and Guinea orange), along with exotic pitaya aromas enhanced with apples, pears and caramel, which were added in order to achieve gourmand effect.
A heart blooms with gorgeous Asian magnolia, aquatic jasmine, Turkish rose and passionate raspberry with pulp. Base notes of the composition leave a mark of amber and musk, with gentle vanilla and woody notes of cedar and sandalwood, providing dept, chic nuances and sensual finish.
The flacon has the same form as last year’s Mauboussin Pour Elle and is available as 30, 50 and 100ml edp, accompanied with rich perfumed body cream with the same notes. Perfumers of the new edition Mauboussin Rose Pour Elle are Benoist Lapouza and Delphine Lebeau. Creator of the bottle is Thierry Faucon.
The fragrance hits the shelves in January 2012. It was first presented at TFWA 2011 in Cannes.
Mauboussin Rose Pour Elle was created by Benoist Lapouza and Delphine Lebeau-Krowiak.

A watery and raspberry-jam rose scent. There is little evolution; the first spray is pretty much what you get until it dissipates. It has a refreshing quality brought upon by the citrus presence in the opening, and dainty amount of green in the dry-down. Pretty, but lackluster. Not worth purchasing at full price.

Ever since my beloved Rosa Pop by Guerlain has been discontinued, I have been on the hunt for something similar, or at least the same vibe. I was told just to buy a back up bottle of Rosa Pop, then I’ll be happy. I think that there are so many lovely perfumes out there, I try not to buy the same thing/fragrance twice. So much to explore. I knew about this one, and read many reviews. I had it in the back of my mind once My Rosa Pop bottle started to get low. One day, I was on Zulily and they had it for an amazing price. Also in the large bottle. From the notes I knew it would be right for me. I love rose scents… I love them fresh, fun, dark and even mysterious.
This scent has not disappointed me at all. It’s a lively scent, it’s vigorating. It’s the kind of scent to lift ones spirit. It’s feminine, joyful and fun. yet, it’s classy, and elegant. It’s not overly sweet. No one note is dominant over the other. You can tell a good blend when you can distinguish each note individual. As you go from the top notes to the base, it takes you on a journey. It reminds me of a young lady strolling through a Parisian park on a nice sunny spring day. Smelling the flowers in the air, enjoying a nice treat while walking the gardens. It is an explosion of refined rose, fruits, and a undertone of musk.
It’s not a sharp scent, meaning not sour. It’s not out loud in your face, it’s a very smooth journey through all the notes. Very refreshing, and maybe a bit aquatic. I find it enjoyable, and fluffy and beautiful like a cloud, so gentle, yet soft.
I find nothing synthetic about this scent. It’s very pleasant. It is Beautiful and pretty just like the lady wearing it. The sillage is above average, and longevity seems above moderate to almost to the long mark. This fragrance is wearable year round, and for any lady of any age. I love stumbling into a fragrance that is just happy. This fragrance makes me smile, and I love it more every day. A very under rated scent, which indeed needs more attention. Xox

Floral, warm, and feminine fragrance. Something between that old simple scented pens and floral notes.
I’m looking for something similar for a long time.
Is not that old lady rose scent that gives you headaches, is something youthful and fresh.
Must buy it! It will become my signature more so as it is not known.

I tested this recently and got all excited about the delicious sweet citrus opening. Then I remembered it was supposed to be rose and I was confused. But after around 15 mins it was suddenly completely different and it smelled exactly like Vera Wang Truly Pink. I got even more excited as that is my fav rose fragrance and it is discontinued. I wanted to buy it on the spot! But I forced myself to wait and see how it held up throughout the rest of the day. I could still smell it in the evening, not particularly strong but not bad for one spritz. I am going to go and test their other rose scent and if it doesn’t beat this I’ll be picking up this one.

I received this beautiful fragrance as a gift, and I describe it as following:
Opening: similar to “Beyond Paradise Blue Estée Lauder for women” and when i saw the notes I knew why! both start with a citrus smell that is very refreshing and sweet at the same time. It also has a vibe that is similar to “Bright Crystal Versace for women” that is a little bit aquatic even though it has no aqua notes. My husband found it very similar to Bright Crystal too.
Its dry-down reminded me so much of “Bebe Bebe for women” and also i can see why when comparing the notes, the musk here is very tender, clean and especially not cloying since my sense of smell changed while pregnant and it’s the 1st perfume I tolerate for now.
Overall, I give it a note of 8/10 with moderate sillage and longevity. Suitable for spring/summer, office/daywear time.
I wore it today for the 1st time and started to get complements already, I think this is a good sign!

Opens as a lolly water, fruity generic. No love lost here. It does redeem itself with a strange carnation type middle that is more like ‘Old Spice’ than one would want in a pink perfume. The sprayer doesn’t work properly, grumble grumble. Save your dollars for Quel Amour or Stella, this Mauboussin is no great shakes.

I just got this in the mail from one of the discount houses, truly at a great price. It is a lovely perfume. I think of it as a “hidden rose” as it doesn’t just scream rose. It is more floral than fruity, with a definite musk base. I don’t get caramel, thank goodness. I keep smelling my wrist it is so nice. It reminds me of Oscar de la Renta’s floral perfumes, not as complex as Oscar’s 2011 ‘l spirit de Oscar, but just as nice. It has some sillage and longevity, as I’ve had it on three hours and it is still nice. I would describe it as a very natural, citrus rose musk perfume. The rose is somewhat green. I’d definitely recommend this one; I hope it lasts longer than 3 hours, but even if not I’d still recommend it. The prices are so good I may buy another bottle! The bottle is quite beautiful and heavy, which is a nice plus.
This isn’t nearly as strong or eccentric as its excessively “plumy” sister the original Mauboussin, which is nice and compelling, but has way too much plum for my taste.

Very pleasant scent from Mauboussin. It’s totally underrated (despite that there’s nothing so super-phenomenal). A lot of celebrities scents get so much attention that they totally don’t deserve. Who needs them, when we have such a nice compositions like “Rose Pour Elle”?!… This one is not too sweet, gentle rose with some fresh juicy fruits, green leaves / cassis and delicate sweet / light gourmand notes. I can’t detect much caramel here. Rose smells here fresh & tasty. Lucky me, but I can’t smell anything synthetic. Overall in the beginning it reminds juicy peaches with apricots and fruity-tea scent ,later it brings more of cassis and rose notes in it and getting more of sweet / slightly caramel notes in base. Its suitable more for a spring or summers seasons. Average longevity with light but detectable silage. I like it as a daily routine scent too. By the way it has something similar in developing with “Flower party” of Yves Rocher, but definitely much more complex.

nice perfume.on the blotter I smell so much cassis and mint mixed with fresh pink roses.on my skin it’s quite different.it’s sweeter and muskier. but I’m not wondering as the perfumes tend to be sweeter on my skin.
I think it’s a high quality perfume.a modern rose for younger audiences in a beautiful bottle which is pretty suitable for summer.
unfortunately the middle notes lack the depth I seek in a perfume.maybe it’s because of its freshness but it smells very similar to drugstore perfumes at this stage which I don’t admire.by the way patchouli haters will like it. it can be worn all day during summer easily.

Elegant bouquet, not sumptuous, wearable all day preferably during cooler. Pear caramel and amber create a slightly sweet that binds nicely with the flowers, and neither dominates the other notes. The perfect balance is loosely supported by the musk base, making it similar to creating a stylish sweater to put on his back in the early spring days or evenings. Not suitable for young to the hairspray effect that can remember.
