Very nice fragrance. I buy it time to time. To me it smells jasmine. In my opinion it is better to wear in spring or on cooler days in summer. As it has been previously said it is warm hearted so when I am wearing this perfume I have an impression that jasmine flowers are heated by the sun or by the body heat. The closer to the body the warmer the aroma. And delicate and feminine projection. But what I notice every time that I get tired from the smell when the bottle is nearly finished so I need a break. But then I return to it again. Lasts long on me.

so we meet again MAT =). A great spring/summer-scent in my opinion. Lots of Tea, Bamboo, Musk with an airy note of fresh, crispy flowers and black currant. I can’t wear citrus-notes at all – they turn maleish on my skin. But the mix of Tea and Bamboo makes this one very fresh and “clean”. A scent thats sparkles. Longlasting on my dry skin – about 5-6 hours.

Does anyone else have problems with a leaking sprayer on this bottle? The more I spray, it leaks. Annoying to waste perfume like that. I bought it somewhere around its release in 2005, but haven’t really used it, other than spraying once on the arm, now and then, to smell. Today for the first time I used it on the body and the sprayer leaks. I wonder if it’s just my bottle that is malfunctioned or if all bottles had bad, leaking sprayer?
I can mention that I bought a package with the bodylotion together with the perfume. The bodylotion was unopened ’til today, when I took it out. Had forgot all about it. Funny thing is that the lotion still smells like the perfume, but it’s very loose in consistency. Other bodylotions usually change their smell to bad odour after such long time, but I guess since it was unopened and sealed, it still had the smell. I will now remember to use my lotions together with the perfumes, in time.

A young, fun, light-hearted fragrance. The staying power isn’t too good, but this should be worn more for yourself. It will make you feel crisp with the green bamboo, uplifted with the fruitiness, and in a good mood after you spray. Perfect size to throw in your purse, as well.

This mat; smells a little similar to mat; Le Vert. To me, the notes are all over the place. I smell white lotus and aquatic accord first, then fellowed by some plastic melon (or mango?) and some green bamboo (substituted by cucumber in Le Vert). It’s white floral watery aquatic and a bit shimmering metallic/plastic feel. Somehow it reminds me of Avon Spotlight. In addition, it is quite light and not as sweet as many fruity floral fragrances in the market nowadays.
I have tried 5 fragrances from Masaki Matsushima, and I find all of them to have something quirky; making the fragrances special & strange in a good way, and I love the bottles. In my opinion, I don’t think any of MM frags would appeal to a mass market at all, but it’s still fun to try something not so common.

(I am actually wearing Mat vert, but it’s not in the database, so I’m stowing my review here…)
Masaki Matsushima MAT LE VERT was apparently launched in 2003 and includes these notes:
“fresh, watery florals, with sweet fruits, cucumber and musk”
For some reason, I’ve never been all that compatible with green fragrances, and this one, while not a scrubber, is not very appealing to me. I do smell cucumber and aquatic notes, but the composition has an obviously synthetic edge which puts me off a bit, so I won’t be adding MAT VERT to my collection. I think that BBW FRESHWATER CUCUMBER is better than this. Désolée.

wow! this a perfect summer fragrance
normally, i’m not a fan of fruity florals, but this one is very nice: the top fruit notes are very juicy indeed, good mango and melon combination. But i especially adore tea and lotus at the base. very uplifting and youthful scent!

    Thanks for adding Masaki’s fragrances!
I think they are really special.
Modern and urban, but not aggresive.
Rather delicate and somehow … warmhearted.
I suppose they suit women living in a city, who are feminine and natural. Urban women for whom their fragrance is their connection to nature.
MAT is very like Matsushima’s fragrances.
Simple and pleasant. I haven’t smelled it for some time, but I remember the juicy fruits on a green-aquatic base. The fragrance didn’t change in time on my skin. I thought I’ve already smelled something very similar to this on a person. Or maybe it was MAT? Very characteristic. I guess it’s mango + melon.
More grown-up version of a floral fruity fragrance.
I’m just afraid it didn’t last long.
