This is wood only fragrance to me. I use this mainly in the winter when I feel ‘ah, I don’t want to smell of anything fancy, just something to make me smell of something comfortable and feel warm’.
The opening is just like taking a chip of Palo Santo wood, lighting it, and smelling the incense like smoke. That smell is very good and comforting, and I sometimes burn Palo Santo at home as incense. In some cultures that has been done for ages to make people feel better about themselves (and others).
That burning aromatic wood dissipates, and leaves a creamy, very office friendly faint wood smell I suppose. Not offensive, but neither long lasting, 3h thereabouts..
But this one has one ace up it’s sleeve: if any fragrance is lacking a bit of woodiness this could easily used as a layering agent, to add warmth, depth, and backbone. As an example I’ve layered this with it’s brother Arlington (that’s also very linear and simple cologne), with Farenheit (to cut the sharpness of the gas / leather effect), and with a simple light aftershave by Reuzel, to give this a little more citrus and sandalwood.

A nice blend of citrus and wood. Longevity and sillage are moderate. It’s very simple and linear but also very nice. It’s made perfectly for those with conservative tastes.

This is a very smokey woody fragrance. It is for a mature distiguished man, not for just anyone. It is worth trying to see if it is to your liking. I am ‘not’ partial to it myself but I will not say that it is a bad fragrance. I perfer the newer Windor sent, but I can see why this appeals to some. I tried a number of these fragrances by purchasing the soap and aftershave samples on the D.R. Harris website. The aftershave may be a little different from the cologne.
