This whole, beautiful, complex mix smells so much like amber to me. Round, warm, balsamic, spicy – just perfection!
Little powdery and dusty, some patchouli but clean and comforting – perfect for colder weather. This is not a gourmand, although vanilla, coconut and cinnamon present, not a floral either. Again, if you like amber fragrances, you’d like this. Very good!

For @almondbreakfast (and others) – the name Marconi 3 is the address of Parfumeurs grandmothers house…
Excerpt from Profumi del Forte’s site:
From the diary of Maître Parfumeur:
Tomorrow I will open up the house by the sea. The house, in the heart of Forte dei Marmi, belonged to my grandmother. In the large circular piazza, a paradise for children and the weekly market place. The holidays of my youth. The good odours of the family. Powders, the drawers, high beds, large wooden wardrobes that smell fresh and clean. How many memories there are in that house and in the little garden in Piazza Marconi! Tomorrow I will go to discover its secrets and the scent of its spirit. I want to write the formula of its charm…
I read and sniffed, and I sniffed and read…It was so real! I too remember my grandma by the cakes she baked for me, by the strange old dusty things I could find in the depth of the cabinets and drawers, by the dreams I had…And this perfume is reminiscent of all this…It’s the remembrance of childhood.
On my skin it’s sweet and dusty. I got a lot of vanilla, heliotrope and star anise…The first time when I tested it I did not get patchouli, but the second time it was present and gave to the composition this earthy, dusty feeling. Someway it reminds me also the smell of French macarons, but the almonds are not listed among the notes, though.
For me it’s a perfect comfort scent for cold winter evenings and I love it!

Profumi del Forte makes quite a few high quality and unique fragrances, and Marconi 3 is one of the best. I have been curious why they named it Marconi 3.
The patchouli opens up quite strongly in a powdery texture, it is also present throughout the entire life of this fragrance on the skin. Gradually the roses, coconut, coriander unfold and finally it settles with more earthy, delicate base of cinnamon, anise, vanilla. I can still smell the roses and patchouli as well. Just beautiful..
In the beginning, it gives me this luxurious and exotic mood that is of khaki or mud color. It later settles down in a smooth, humble, earthy gesture; like seeing a smile from a down-to-earth lady in khaki color clothes.
It’s certainly a unisex fragrance for both men and women, for a painter, a poet, anyone who enjoys simple lives & arts. Not suitable for party-goers, bankers, politicians or such unless they’re on a date or dinner. The silage is moderate, and the longevity is moderate as well (4-6 hours, could be longer). It is quite versatile but more suited for evenings.
Simply lovely.

More masculine then feminin on my skin. It is defenatly warm spicy . the Coriander is strong aswell as the cinamoon, the rose mingels in to eas it up a bit , but not enough to make it feminin or romantic.
The geranium is also quit distinct in this perfume. and that does bother me abit. im not to keen on that smell. This whit the Coriander makes it smells abit sour. almost dirty on my skin. The vanilla and Heliotrop rescues this just slightly . makes it a tad sweeter ,slightly powdery
There is a earthyness in this to , but to me i would say it is more the spices and the warmth off this then the patcholie that makes it like this.
im not shure i would have liked it eather on me or my Husbond do to this almost dirty sour smell ..
But the smell it self is not bad at all . just not somthing i would have put on to wear ..this makes no sense but it is like this to me 😉
It is long lasting . but does not have the biggest sillageto
after wearing this for a wild it seams there is somthing my skin reacts to in this perfume . its red and itchy and abit swollen 🙁
