Description
Marc Jacobs will bring back four editions of the Splash Collection in spring, 2016. Some of the most popular fragrances of the collection, Rain and Cotton from 2006, Cucumber from 2007 and Pear from 2008, are redesigned and presented as the new limited editions.
“Inspired by the original Marc Jacobs’ Splash Collection, the four favorites recapture the essence of summer. Crisp to the senses, yet mellow in color, each Splash indulges in the simple pleasures of the easy-going, light hearted spirit of Marc Jacobs. ”
Marc Jacobs Cotton Splash is created by the perfumer Steven Claisse as the scent of freshness and purity of freshly washed and sun-dried cotton laundry. Top notes: bergamot, mandarin, orange, peach, aquatic accord
Heart: lavender, jasmine, lily of the valley, cotton flower
Base: white suede, blonde woods, musk, sandalwood
Available as a 100 ml Eau de Toilette each.
FAQULITY – :
Not poor longevity at all (just average long lasting). The opening is fresh with a touch of orange for about 15 seconds on my skin. And then from that point on, ALL was left is something VERY similar to “chive” and “cilantro”.
People who really know how I like to wear perfume, will absolutely NEVER offer me anything that smells like “cilantro”. And as irony as it is, I LOVE cilantro…in my cooking, especially in my soups 🙂
q_zmich – :
A generic chemical citrus, a bit like an air freshener. Not bad, but nothing special. It disappeared from my skin after an hour.

I would absolutely love to review this for you…unfortunately every time I spray it on, it’s gone before my arm hits my nose.

40 e for 100 ml for a splash like this is sheer robbery. It is fresh, inoffensive and yes a little synthetic at first but after 20 minutes it disappeared. I am always on the lookout for a nice splash as summer triggers my migraines but this is not working for me…or anyone to my mind, sorry!
Circadcammaro – :
very synthetic upon application, sits very close to the skin.
No freshly laundered cotton smell for me.
I guess being a splash, aka cologne strength, would justify the abysmal performance and modest price for a Marc Jacobs (AUD 69 for 100 ml).
Getting nothing worthwhile or memorable here.
