Beautiful fragrance, sunny, quality, elegant and stimulating. After a taste of all the gems intrigued I decided to try this on the skin and I was impressed by the note of peach that is usually for women but that here is well mixed and can, in my opinion, adapt to both sexes.
The only peach that I digest well!
Surprise.

Today I had a chance to try 18 of Le Gemme collection perfumes and it was quite an overwhelming experience.
Maravilla stood out among all. It is lemony, peachy, patchy, jasminey. I thought I had a Dejavu as it smelt familiar.
“Oh snap! Eaux de Caron Fraiche!”
That is 1/10 of Maravilla’s price. EdCF is the brighter version. Maravilla is the rounder and luxe version.
Overall, I find the entire La Gemme collection lacking an X-Factor. With a price tag twice as high as Dior, Chanel, Guerlain’s exclusive line in average, I was expecting something that would take my breath away. However, my breathing pattern seemed completely normal.
Texture wise, La Gemme is silky and cloudy. Almost none of them is crisp at all. They are all between 14:00 PM – 02:00 AM types of shade.
Ambiance wise, La Gemme is elegant and boring. Safe and inoffensive. Not daring, not edgy, nothing unexpected, nothing new.
The flacon finishing is a work of art, even though I find the shape rather “Meh…”. Not something you would carry around everyday and everywhere, but rather keep in your vanity for mere display pleasure and wear only occasionally.
My other Top 5 picks in the collection include Noorah, Lazulia, Malakeos.. and Tygar.

Unisex lemony cologne. Way too overpriced for its sheer presence and short longevity. The bottle is stunning though.

Unlike previous gemstones-inspired offering reflecting very directly the relantionship between stone’s color and the aroma in Maravilla this is achieved more by a texture than for notes or accords that communicate the yellow tonality. The honoured stone this time is the Citrine, which according the brand is a bright gemstone associated with the sun in the morning and with a positive mental feeling and good vibes. This becomes in terms of aroma in an attempt of a solar chypre, something that gives greater emphasis to floral and luminous parts of a chypre. In the skin, Maravilla sounds between the chypre of 31 Rue Cambon without aldehydes and the scent of patchouli and leather in Bottega Veneta. The impressions are compact tough, with the two impersonations living together – you quickly realize the bright citrus, flowers, and the chypre with leather base nuances. Unlike a sunny morning, however, Maravilla quickly becomes a whisper, with the emphasis on the brightest part of the opening jeopardizing its progress in the skin, which creates something disappointing for an exclusive scent in this price level.

Sunlight over Capri, Joy and la dolce vita are what we find in our second fragrance Maravilla (delight / marvelous ). The stone that we explore here is the golden Citrine, the stone of intelligence, and sunny disposition. In fact this chypre fragrance is my favorite of the line, bright, effervescent and shooting light and joy right off the skin. This is a lemon grove hugging the cliffs along the Amalfi Coast. The notes of Italian Lemon tree, Orange flower absolute are married to a playful and yet grounded rich patchouli. Again just three major notes and what a magic marriage of notes these three are. The patchouli with the two citrus notes is a brilliant move by the perfumer Daniella Andrier who is the nose for the entire collection. It is woodsy and warm. This will be a huge summer and spring hit.

Simple, Sheer and Elegant.
It’s a Clean Chypre perfume with citrus and neroli, a little bit peach, mossy and woody.
This perfume has the beauty of simplicity with bergamot, vetiver and patchouli.
