Well, if you want to know how this smells, go to your grocery store and sniff some Mrs. Butterworth’s. You’ll get an imitation maple scent, but it’s definitely not like the real stuff. Slightly buttery, too.

It’s sweet but not rich. I expected it to be a delicious maple scent but it smells like alcoholic vanilla

More vanilla than maple but never the less yummy. Isn’t the deep warm maple scent I expected. I have smelled this exact scent in several vanilla base perfumes. Nice but not maple.

This review is for the Demeter Perfume Oil Roll-on version. I much prefer them over the alcohol based sprays, they last longer.
I’ve never smelt fresh Maple sap from the tree so maybe this scent smells like that?
This smells nothing like the genuine Maple Syrup you buy at the supermarket. More like no-name brand sugar syrup with an additive flavour, the fake stuff.
It’s really sweet to the point of being cloyingly headache inducing but there is no Maple, fruity or woody flavour.
I also purchased the scent Demeter Waffles and funnily enough that is spot-on for Maple Syrup, so I know they can get the scent right.
To me Waffles should be vanilla scented baked goods before you put the butter or syrup on. This Waffles is ALL Maple Syrup.
I do like it and I am going to mix it with other fragrances but it is NOT Maple syrup.
