Description

Ferrari launches new fragrance MAN IN RED which celebrates everything that is exciting in Ferrari. Prominent, brave and intense, the new fragrance ‘contains the essence of masculinity and embodies the type of man who lives in dynamic way. The new Ferrari man is sensual, searches for excitement and is a charismatic individual, who enjoy the rush of adrenaline’. The composition that describes it is made of contrasts and provides shades of fruit, amber and fougere chords, which are blended to leave charismatic and strong impression.

FERRARI MAN IN RED opens with refreshing notes of bergamot, sweet red apple and spicy shades of cardamom, while the heart incorporates scents of golden plum, orange blossom and lavender. The floral-fruity blend is calmed down with lavender which overcomes sweetness with its intensity and reveals the true character of the composition. The base is warm and masculine created of tonka, cedar and labdanum, ensuring a comfortable and warm trail.

Fragrance Man in Red is available in flacons of 50 and 100ml Eau de Toilette, accompanied with perfumed body care products – shower gel, deodorant and after shave lotion.
Man in Red was launched in 2015.

M3oman is spot-on in the review. Pink pepper is the dominant note here and not even listed, how can you do like this?
I like my pepper in foods but it’s a total no-no in perfumery for me. It just doesn’t work on my skin. So, another blind buy gone wrong, when will I ever learn?! Man in red is all about pepper and also the red apple note. Performance seem to be really good, not easy to scrub this juice off the back off my hand… I wish Scudderia Black had this power, but it’s not even close. I have a full 50 ml bottle -2 sprays of this needing a new pepper-loving owner. Cheers and happy new year all you fragheads!

It smells nice and there’s nothing wrong with this fragrance.
But it’s kinda generic in a good way.
A fellow review pointed out to me, that anything with red apple note in it, smells kinda generic.
The reason why is say it smells generic to me…
It’s because…it smells like Hawaiian punch(in the drydown).
I’m getting straight to the point.
I haven’t had this drink in a little over fourteen year.
But when i sprayed this on, it’s wham bam thank you ma’am.
Oh hello Hawaiian punch, it’s been awhile.
Overall this is an okay fragrances, at a decent price point worth a shoot.
I used six sprays…both wrist, back & front of my neck, chest and front of my shirt.
    Will I buy this again?…No.
Does this fragrance enter BEAST MODE, good, just okay or weak sauce at best? Just okay.
What’s the strength of this? EDT.
Am i willing to trade this fragrance? Yes.
Should You Skipped It, Sample It First or Blind Buy It?
    Blind Buy worthy($20-$30).
Can you use it as a unisex scent? No.
Is it the old, new formulation? New.
What’s its availability; in production, limited edition or discontinued? In Production.

Man in Red smells so familiar, but I cannot put a finger on which specific fragrance it smells like! I think it is more of a mixture of different frags I own. It’s definitely sweet and fruity. It has similar elements to Mont Blanc Legend Intense, Lacoste L.12.12 line, Paco Rabanne Invictus, and maybe even Boss Bottled Intense (probably due to the apple note). It’s nice, but maybe too similar to many fragrances I already own. But if you’re looking for sweet and fruity, with a prominent apple note, this is for you. I can say I like the apple in this Ferrari better than the apple-cinnamon-vanilla in Boss Bottled, which I find nauseating.

Wow, what an unexpectedly great scent. Love when a blind buy pays off and it wasn’t even that expensive. Sweet & fruity, powerful but not nauseating. I don’t find it similar to polo red or 1 million at all. Love the sweet apple smell, great all year round but perfect for a cold day

This stuff is incredible! I happened upon it by complete accident while trying on random fragrances while bored one day at Shoppers Drug Mart (Canadian drug store chain) and was amazed at how good this was, loved the red apple sweetness and spiciness and strength and was instantly smitten.
I walked around the store to see if it had lasting power, and I had gotten only fifteen feet before one of the sales girls said “OMG WHAT is THAT it is AMAZING, and when I told her it was Ferrari Man in Red, she was so surprised it was a mens’ fragrance she said no way. Of course I had to buy it then even though Shoppers price was too high at least I got the ahem, cough, cough. seniors price, okay I am only 60 (constantly told, for real I look mid forties) but I got 20 percent off, plus they gave me a ten dollar gift card so that helped ease the pain a little. It was so worth it. This stuff is like wow. And on my fragrance gobbling skin it LASTS. My new obsession right now.
This fantastic fragrance is totally unisex, I can see women loving/rocking this too.

If you like sweet smelling perfumes, this is a good choice to get. It just gives you the sweet, fruity and warm smelling scent. This is also fairly new and I believe not many people know about this yet but I feel like this will blow up in some time. It has become my signature fragrance and I’ve received a fair number of compliments.

Ferrari Man in Red was released in 2015 and has just come to the Brazilian market, following the new positioning of the brand in the country. I was invited to the launch event, which took place in São Paulo and was attended by artists, journalists and specialized media, in a party that brought the Ferrari details on every corner, including the model parked at the door.
The man who represents the new Man in Red is one who lives intensely, without worrying about his marks and scars, but also is not ashamed when needs to show sensitivity. According to the concept created by Ferrari, he is a man of contrasts: under his athletic exterior, lies a golden heart.
In the official composition, the new Ferrari Man in Red brings initial notes of Apple, bergamot and cardamom, followed by heart notes of lavender, orange blossom and Golden Plum (Mirabelle), which are embased by sensual notes of labdanum, tonka bean and cedar. It is categorized as fougère-ambery, for technical reasons, but taking into account its evolution on the skin, I’d say it’s fruity-ambery with oriental nuances.
And for those who still insist on criticizing that Ferrari is only good in the production of cars – very common comment about the fragrances – the new Man in Red comes “like a punch”, literally. The output is strong and the projection is high!
On my skin, the nuance of the apple is mouth-watering. It could have, perhaps, a cardamom a little bit stronger, in order to give a most unusual feature. However, the mix of orange blossom with plum is divine and ends up being the longest accord of the evolution, bringing juiciness and a velvety tone. Over time, the base becomes more ambery, thanks to the labdanum and its warm facets. But the cedar plays a key role in this fragrance, since it gives the contrast required for that the scent doesn’t end extremely sweet.
Since my first contact with this fragrance and still during the test phases, it was impossible not to remember of other Red fragrance: Polo Red. And there I was, once again, facing the old trap of similarity. So, to resolve any doubts, I made a comparative test and could see that, as usual, similar does not mean equal.
In General, both have the same purpose and style of the modern man, who wants to shine, especially at night. In practice, however, Polo Red evolves toward the Woody-spicy, while Man in Red remains more fruity and sensual, from beginning to end.
With respect to the bottle, the design makes connection with the curves that connect the hood of the car to the glass, bringing the horse in a painted glass with the unique color of Ferrari, called Rosso Corsa (different from the Rosso Maranello present in the Essence Oud bottle). There is no lid, but a single spray that gives better finishing.
As mentioned before, it has presented great projection. And with respect to lasting, went from 8 hours on my skin, showing that the Cavallino’s division is committed to fight for consumers.
Ferrari Man in Red is bold, intense and brings in its advertising campaign, the slogan “The Mark of a new Breed”, playing with words and this new male generation, which thrives on the rush of adrenaline.

Why does this remind me of the new Prada Sport? I’m not saying I dislike it. I’m just wondering.
It’s been a few weeks since I sniffed the Prada but yet that was my first thought.
