Like everyone else has said, most of the Juicy Coutures smell similar enough that you don’t need to buy every single flanker since many are hard to tell apart. Malibu Surf is indeed slightly fresher, airier, more “water&sand”-y than that original – a better summer fragrance. Like nearly all the other JCs, I find it hard to tell apart any of the notes because they’re very well-blended and balanced. Sillage is soft. Longevity is around 2-3 hours, similar to most cheaper scents. Malibu Surf is a good summer fragrance for the younger crowd, such as teens and early 20s, but doesn’t smell overly juvenile or sugary. It’s also a good summer fragrance for those who are looking for something a little less fruity and more complex than the Escada summer fragrances.

This is a watered down or maybe sightly fresher version of the original. I have to agree with the other reviewers that say all coutures smell the same. It lasted about 20 minutes & it was gone, while it was there is was so light there is no way anyone can smell it. A waste I can not recommend this to anyone.

I like it. Tested it at Kohl’s today and it might smell a little more woodsy than the other Malibu in the end but definitely was not anything unique or special compared to the rest of the line.
ALL the Juicy Couture EDTs are nice and fresh. Since I already own two Malibu (Juicy Couture Malibu, Couture La La Malibu), and even Viva La Juicy La Fleur, I will not need to buy this one after all. Besides, all I can find online for now is just 1.3 oz very small size bottle.

First spritz of this is a bright crisp orange scent! Then strawberry, a pinch of apple and frangipani shows up. Got this as a birthday gift a few days ago and this is my favorite one, can’t wait to wear this in may-july weather!

I agree that all juicy coutures smell pretty much the same, except for La Fleur which I found different. To me this was disappointing when I read aquatic and ozonic, I thought great it is going to smell sport and beachy and unisex in that clean sexy way with a little bit of juicy fruit. Nope, it is stereo typically couture scent with some watery notes- no interesting ozonic acquatic notes- it simply smells watered down! Dissapointing!

I did try a sample of this at Kohl’s today and love it. Would be a perfect summer scent. I have Malibu but love this one much more. They did have a nice large bottle at my Kohl’s. I sure hope I can find it on sale there soon.

I was waiting about this, haven’t you noticed that Juicy Couture became ‘Black Label-ed’ recently? It changed arms recently, then come back to quality and celebrities like Behati Prinsloo.
No offence, I am a huge fan of the Juicy Couture perfume family and not only, but making a ‘new’ fragrance by pressing over an older one, isn’t creative at all. Example? Peace Love and Juicy Couture born Couture La La, a fresher green edition that doesn’t last at all for an EDP. (Have both) Then Couture La La born 2 from Malibu line. One is an even watery down Couture La La, like a body mist edition of it.
Ok! It’s nice not to ‘destroy’ the juice and make a new one, recycling you know, or let’s say marketing for our world in crisis but the only thing I excuse is Viva la juicy. It’s LOVE. Viva la juicy La Fleur EDT became my first signature and now Gold Couture is a like due to it’s caramel. That’s it. Newer I am Juicy Couture is good but passion fruit was a big foul. The new line will be ‘I am-style’. Can’t wait to try I love Juicy Couture, same bottle with I am Juicy Couture just animal print added and a heart. You’re impressed I know haha.

I went into a Perfume Fayre thing where they display new and upcoming fragrances. This was there. Not what I expected at all, the scent is no way near fruity, it’s more of a sweet, musky scent. It is also quite strong with the dominant Woody notes. Such a disappointment, however if you like musky and seductive scents then I recommend this. Like what they say, don’t judge a perfume by its bottle.

This scent was just OK to me. Sweet and fruity. I expected something more fresh or aquatic with a name like “Malibu Surf”, but I did not detect anything like that. Just fruit and flowers with a bit of sweet vanilla. It’s similar to the other Juicy scents. Not really my style, but it is not unpleasant.

They have had this at Kohl’s for months. In a very small bottle. Like 1oz if that? Maybe .5 oz. anyway. It’s a very fruity clean scent. Nothing special. Linear to Coture Coture with a fruity juicy fruit undertone. The bottle is pretty though. Wish it was in a bigger bottle for the Juicy collectors out there.
