This reminded me a lot of POTL in the opening, with the Playdoh sweetness and instant depth. It turns into a bit of a woodier monster, after some time. Very good.

Definitely has a fecal opening that I naturally find off putting. The thing with this fragrance is the first time I tried it in store, I sprayed it on my clothes, and for the longest times, the jacket i was wearing that day smelled absolutely divine! The lady in store was nice enough to give me a sample of it which I eventually tried on my skin and did not like as much, so will be reserving this one for my clothes only.

Ferociously addicting , a blend of dark woods, hay like, somewhat animalic laotian oud ,submerged in golden resins, vanilla tonka sweetness play major role in the heart to soften up the beast while tolu balsam further enhances the warmth ambery quality of the composition in the base.
    Astonishing blend.

Barnyard opening. Humid and mildly skanky oud right out of the gate. Resins are present but not center stage. Dry.
Though the opening is not my cup of tea it’s not entirely unpleasant and within minutes a richness begins to develop with deep woods and spicy resins framing the barnyard, mildly feral oud note.
A sweetness begins to become perceptible at the end of the first hour. It is at this stage, with sweet notes of bourbon vanilla bean and tonka enter the scene imparting fullness and, frankly, wearability that the fragrance transitions from merely smelling interesting to actually smelling quite pleasant. It’s warm, resinous, mildly animalic and woody with moderate projection and sillage, sitting comfortably close to the skin.
Would be of interest to lovers of oud and exotic fragrances tailored with European refinement. I enjoy it but not something I would wear often.

Sorry to all who likes this, but this is my honest opinion. The opening of this actually gives associations to poo. I thought it was only my crazy mind, so I tested it on a friend. He immediately said the same. Must be the tolu balsam and/or the laotian oud giving it a rotten tone. Very good poo, but not my kind of fragrance. Just a warning as this is not the sillage you want at work, at a date or else where.

At a glance I thought it’s just plain oud like Zafar & ‘Ilm, but much weaker; once it settles a freshness (slightly tart greenish floral) comes from out of nowhere—must be lily of the valley! I didn’t expect to actually smell that note because it’s covered in oud and general plush sweetness (I wouldn’t call it straight tonka). Afterwards it turns into something fairly similar to Hayat (with cardamon toned down) but much softer. A very comfortable scent to wear 🙂

Strangely addictive oud mixed with some sweetness. I love the blending here. Just enough oud (comes across to me as just slightly barnyard-y, and as someone else mentioned – sour) to give contrast to the floral and sweet aspects, and on my skin they seem to trade places fading in and out throughout its lifespan, keeping it interesting. Can’t say I am typically a huge fan of oud, but right now I AM a fan of how Xerjoff handles it in a few fragrances. This one was a very pleasant surprise and I can see it easily earning a place among my favorites

What can I say? I’m a huge fan of Xerjoff and Malesia is another strangely beautiful perfume. Somewhat sour but addictively so. You do get the resins and a floral note. This combined with the tonka bean and the labdanum and the beautiful laotion oud give it a warm, rich and sweet feel. Love.

Now this one is a VERY oudi fragrance, the sour type of oud as i feel i have sniffed it before but i don’t remember which one it was! maybe the Malaysian! It’s very balsamic and some laudanum, with some cotton, and burned cotton as well.
It has blood like essence as well mingled in between the notes.
Quite an interesting take on a real oud.

This is a very nice fragrance, I mean really nice. The oud is not really strong (like in Zafar). It’s not too sweet either. It lasts for a very long time (could still smell it the next day), but it doesn’t project much. Xerjoff Oud Stars Collection is really something, I’m considering owning all of them :-). Good stuff

Oh this is gorgeous. The best Oud fragrance I have sniffed from a luxury brand. A regal Oud accord sweet woody and ethereal supported by a bright floral sort of note I guess Amyris as its unique to me. Pink Pepper accord is not sharp and I get a generic sandalwood in the drywdown. Works really well for me. I got a generous sample from a friend (Kenneth,USA)and I am blown away. First the Pikovaya Dama and then this. Very luxurious Neo Oriental Blend. 10/10
