Description

Maiaday is an abstract floral inspired by linden trees in bloom on a soft June day. A tactile bouquet of airy floralcy!
At first bloom, luminous brightness from a blend of citrus and watery green tones are combined with only the fresh qualities of muguet and lilac. The velvety depth of a flower petal is achieved through many green floral notes, all softened with a hint of saffron, vanilla, and soft woods. Uniquely feminine natural and light!

Maiaday was launched in 2014.

Being a fan of linden, I was excited to get a decant of this. It’s beautiful and I may buy more once this is gone. Linden can be very rich, sweet and overpowering but this is balanced nicely with the green notes and saffron, also the vanilla is lighter in this instead of overpowering. I think this is a relaxing fragrance, great for after a shower and hanging around the house in pajamas. Or for going out shopping or to work, probably not much of a sexy scent. I wear this one just for me and enjoy it every time.

Yes, very much linden trees. If you enjoy yellow florals, somewhat waxy this is for you. It smells a little too much like a real flower to me. By that I mean I get something akin to pollen. It makes my allergies go haywire! This was a lovely decant from a SUBSCRIPTION company, but I need to find it a new home! PM me if interested!

This is a gorgeous, perfect for spring green floral. It reminds me a bit of the original Diorissimo in the houndstooth bottle. Linden blossom, (one of my favorites) is strongly present along with very fresh lilac and lily of the valley drying down to a sweet woody/vanilla base. Absolutely lovely!

Linden seems to be a neglected note in perfumery, I just don’t find it often enough it seems. No worries, it’s here in this.
This is a lovely fresh spring-time fragrance that, like those delicate blossoms, is ephemeral.
I have a lovely decant of this, and while I don’t see myself springing for a big bottle anytime soon, I will certainly enjoy the bit I have.

I tried this last night at a lecture by Mr. Matts and good golly, it is gorgeous! Absolutely mouthwateringly beautiful, roll-your-eyes-back-in-your-head-type lusciousness. I think I heard angels singing!
May need to get myself a bottle!
