The Oriental Collection by Yves Saint Laurent in May 2015 received another edition, MAGNIFICENT BLOSSOM which joins fragrances Majestic Rose, Noble Leather, Splendid Wood and Supreme Bouquet, created to convey the wealth and opulence of the East. The new fragrance abounds in intoxicating floral aromas illuminated by citruses, while characteristic charm and elegance is enhanced by chypre shades.
The composition of Magificent Blossom opens with a sparkling union of bergamot and mandarin, above flowers of ylang-ylang, jasmine sambac and orange blossom. The floral notes are surrounded by spicy flavors of saffron, resting on patchouli and amyris wood.
Fragrance Magnificent Blossom is available as 80 ml Eau de Parfum in the same shape as other editions of the Oriental Collection by YSL.

A very nice jasmine-orange blossom perfume. What is different about this particular one is that it has a very warm, soft and cozy note in the base; I can’t pinpoint what it is (maybe vanilla? perhaps it’s the patchouli) but it feels like a luxurious cashmere wrap — like you took some jasmine flowers and wrapped them in a cashmere sweater. Limited addition fragrance, part of Oriental collection. Absolutely beautiful well blended bouquet. You don’t smell any particular note rather a whole scent which is gorgeous. This is not too floral, not too dramatic, but will make sure people notice your presence. Has a good staying power. Can be worn for day or a night out. This is not for a little girl but not for a grandma either. Very classy in a modern way. I am extremely picky. I don’t like most florals, I don’t like fruity, I don’t like aquatic fragrances, I don’t like woody, leathery or anything unisex. There is not one negative thing I can say about this perfume. It is gorgeous. The whole collection was marked unisex but this one as well as Supreme Bouquet (which is also very nice but much more floral) are clearly feminine fragrances. Leave the rest of the collection to the gentlemen.
