I really wonder if and when will she re-release this magnficence, since that’s what has been writing on her official site… for two years

This is my favorite Ava Luxe that I have tried, the balance of notes here is delightful. It feels like a deep, goth scent, but it is also beautiful.

I found this a little more skanky than I’m comfortable with, but that being said it is a very fancy kind of skank. It reminds me of an elegantly dressed woman wearing a perfume with strong personal notes that never quite offend, but may not be the thing you want to wear to your grandmother’s tea party on Sunday. My husband smelled only the top notes and it made him think of a drug-store perfume, but I find it to be much more complex and layered. If you like your civet to be well-behaved, this will work very well for you. If you don’t like civet to be a primary note in your scent, this is one to steer clear of.

I own Madame X in the parfum version and I heartil recommend it to afficianados who are looking for a sophisticated and feminine animalic scent that does not have a kinky quality (I would put Bandit in that category) or is not a big floral like Jolie Madame. While MX is not Lanvin’s Scandal it is quite reminiscent. Yes there is leather and yes there is a floralcy, but the wood, the greens and the amber keep this one on a calmer lower key route to sensuousness. YOu will not “rock the room” with the sillage and you won’t smell like horse harness or whips. Madame X may be a bit notorious sounding, but the scent here is rather a lady.
