Description

Ma Dame Eau de Parfum is the new version of Ma Dame fragrance by Jean Paul Gaultier. It is launched in 2010 in a dark bottle and packaging. This ultra-glamorous and ultra rock fragrance is addictive, rebellious and sophisticated floral – spicy. Its intense composition includes notes of black roses wrapped in patchouli, refreshed by spicy pink pepper on the background of musk and cedar.

Available as 50 and 100 ml EDP.

The rose in this fragrance is clean, unsweetened and somewhat reminiscent of old rose fragrances, which always had a slightly sour aspect to them. The rose is the queen in this scent – sharp, aromatic, uncompromisingly fresh red rose petals and green stems replete with thorns. The rest of the scent is a background; clean cedar wood, fresh patchouli.
This is tart, fresh and has an ironic retro feel because of that resolutely postmodern neon rose. It’s the rose that Daryl Hannah’s Pris would wear in Bladerunner, trying to pretend to be a ‘normal’ human female. It’s unlike any other rose in my current wardrobe; not soft, but fit for an edgy, intellectual person. I will surely wear this whenever I’m in one of my sharp, irreverent Dorothy Parker moods.
Edit: I’ve recently discovered the similarity to YSL Elle. It’s that same dry, spicy rose with patchouli. Very similar in wear!

I was so sad to find out this has nothing to do with the EDT Ma Damme which is one of my all time favorites and I am desperately on the lookout for new bottle as it seems it was discontinued. Well, I blind bought the EDP but it is like a masculine patchouli- rose cologne. Upon second or third try I actually enjoy it but I just wished it was more like the original EDT which is the happiest and so unique fragrance I ever tried/ had and that I love so much… EDP is very unisex and way more “serious”, it’s a “like” but sadly certainly not “love” for me as is the EDT
Edit: I am starting to feel the resemblance to the EDT now. It just a lot more rose-y and masculine overall

This was a blind buy based on reviews and my love for Jean Paul Gaultier Classique. Sadly though, Ma Dame is not a love….(it might be a like) however I do keep wearing it. If I really couldn’t stomach it I wouldn’t keep it. First impression was that it had gone off a bit but that quickly passed and then it was quite peppery but in a masculine way. After a few hours it settles into a green/fresh spicy musky chypre. I think it would be great it really hot humid weather. Not floral at all on my skin. Don’t think I would buy it again.

    JPG MA DAME EDP.
I don’t love this, and after a few days of wrist-testing, I’m still trying to figure out whether I even like it.
This was a targeted and researched blind buy; I was looking for a fragrance that used patchouli in a different way than the two ways I know it best–neither the earthy underpinning of sour or green 1970s chypres (love!) nor the 2000s gourmand, sweet, or fruitchouli styles (strongly dislike!).
In the past, I have sampled the modern rose+patchouli combo in PORTRAIT OF A LADY and found the patchouli overwhelming, distracting– not pleasant to wear for hours. I hoped Ma Dame would be a modern floral (rose) + patchouli combo I could handle.
Well, I can handle it, more or less. But I don’t really want to wear it.
It’s very different to what the notes and reviews led me to expect.
I perceive absolutely no spiciness, no pepper. If anything, there is a (markedly synthetic) clean musk underpinning the whole thing that I associate with colors like white, steel blue, light blue, grey.
The rose is a minor player here, to my nose. The patchouli is tolerable and it is not sweet, which is a blessing to me. Honestly, the starring player seems to be a noticeably synthetic, noticeably clean musk-type accord that almost feels aquatic! Cedar, yes, though not very potent or woody; it just contributes to the fresh feel.
Impression-wise, MA DAME EDP is very far from a “rock n’ roll,” dark rose dominatrix and is in fact more like a freshly showered girl next door, wearing white or grey or light blue shorts, taking a stroll through a damp, dewy backyard, perhaps trailing the sillage of a body spray called something like Waterfall Mist.
I have no theoretical problem with synthetics– in fact, I usually find them far superior to naturally harvested perfume ingredients– but I don’t like the markedly synthetic nature of this. It’s almost as if it were designed to smell like a lab creation instead of like flowers and plant leaves. It makes me feel slightly queasy and I don’t relish smelling this all day on my upper chest and scarves, the main places I spray perfume.
It would be a good choice for a hot, humid summer day, to cut through the heavy sticky moisture of the air. But I have other fragrances that do that while smelling overall much nicer to my nose and more as if they have a relation to real flowers and plants (e.g. Estee Lauder PLEASURES).
I’ll keep trying with this one and let you know if it ever grows on me.

For some reason the Pepper and rose read as anise to me 😛 silly nose Ma Dame is a wonderful Patch/Rose it’s a little dark, a little edgy, probably my favorite of that type. I love the musky ceder lurking underneath all that big beautiful rose and patchouli. The silage is great. Ma Dame is another wonderful out of the box gem from JPG.

I got a really good price on the EDP and I really like it. It is a Dark Rose and patchouli powerhouse. I agree with other reviewers who say this isn’t a “girly girls” fragrance. However, I definitely wouldn’t go as far as to say that it’s masculine because it isn’t. It’s a empowering, slightly dark, fresh scent for a strong, bold, perhaps dark humored woman. If you watch the advertisements for this fragrance, JPG leaves no room for misinterpretation of the “type” this fragrance is marketed towards. The Ad quite suits the fragrance.
Most reviewers have voted Ma Dame a winter or fall fragrance but I’d actually disagree. I think it lacks the warmth I want in colder weather frags. I will use this as a spring and summer NIGHTS fragrance. I say this because firstly, I associate rose with summer, and secondly, the patchouli in this is a very “fresh”, “clean” patchouli. This is neither of the typical patchoulis. It isn’t dirty or earthy. And it isn’t candied. The patch in this is more like the Patch in Untold. (Not to say the two smell alike! They just share that one fresh patch note) Ma Dame reads as cool and fresh whilst still managing to maintain its edge. The Musk lends contribution to this vibe as well. JPG is good at capturing the “contradiction” of femininity in his fragrances. And this is no exception. It manages to somehow be dark and bold while also being fresh and almost cheerful.
Great lasting power. Great silage. Can be found for a great price. Perfumania has 1 oz bottles on clearance for 19.99 online and 14.99 in stores. I bought 3 bottles because I really like it and I know it’s limited edition…and because I have a perfume problem. lol

This is a lovely Rose and Patchouli scent. The pepper is there but for me, it lends this fragrance a ‘fizzy’ quality (I get the same quality from the pepper in Hot Couture) almost a sour sherbert fizzy. The citrus note cuts through the patchouli so it is not too dirty. The woods and musk are very subtle on me and very much in the background. It is a grown up scent and I would say that men could wear this too.
Longevity is excellent and sillage is moderate. I do wish that JPG would put tops on his bottles though!

I bought this today as it was on sale. It smells really different to the EDT, which isn’t a bad thing but is confusing. I see many saying it’s discontinued so that’s probably why it was so cheap. I am not blown away by it, it is a spicy rose, more masculine than I normally wear. If you like spicy scents give this one a try.

  9. :

Ma Dame is so highly rated I blind bought it and have been confused about it ever since. I’ve tried it in all seasons to see if that made a difference, but my outcome for Ma Dame is ultimately “like”, not “love”.
For me, it is just too peppery. It is a punch of pepper with some rose. I kept waiting for the pepper to die down but it doesn’t. The patchouli enters, as does the musk, but the pepper rose punches to the very end.
The branding on this suits perfectly. This isn’t a nice rose. This isn’t a quiet demure rose garden. This is a spicy rose that refuses to be ignored. And you can’t ignore it, the sillage is enormous.
I guess I like my roses a bit quieter, heheh. Give a go if you like pepper.

    great perfume
this reminds me of Midnight poison
when midnight poison gets to its mid note
    it’s a patchouli rose bomb
this is also a patchouli rose bomb
    so ever lasting and powerful
    overwhelming rose
    great!

Second bottle after first trying it in 2010. Modern, a bit more masculine, and just wonderful. It’s more suitable to cold weather.
I used to wear it when I was just 20. This suits me better when I am 26 now.

I bought this perfume because of the high amount of loves and likes. This smells nothing femenine. Just an strong man colone. Waste of money..

I’ve been wanting a rose and patchouli combo for a while now, and when I read the notes and reviews of this one, I got very excited indeed.
I usually love pepper in a ‘fume – it gives a scent an edge, a sort of fizzy thrill like the butterflies you get before a big night out (or at least I do!). But here, it was just too, too much. It completely hogged the limelight, shrieking on and on and on, like the ending of a Mariah Carey song, while the rose and patchouli hovered about in the background; drowned-out backing singers left wondering why they had even bothered showing up.
I also didn’t get the sillage or longevity other reviewers raved about; perhaps this particular blend of notes simply don’t work on my skin. Gutted, because the ombré bottle with the little torso relief is gorgeous – I was tempted to hang onto it for that alone, but my sis is already greedily eyeing it, so I will bid it adieu. Still won’t put me off trying the eau de toilette version, though – that looks freaking awesome.

  14. :

    5 out of 5

This is definitely an interesting and long-lasting, high quality, scent. However the patchouli comes off as kind of dirty smelling on my skin. I just don’t think I personally have any occasion to wear this. Probably more of a nighttime appropriate scent but I already have many others in my collection I prefer. Have a 30ml bottle, 98% full that I would be willing to trade.

Not impressed… just an okay smell. Where is the promised sassiness? where is the sexiness?
It’s a luxury perfume store smell, i.e. not bad… but nothing extraordinary. A cacophony of notes. I smell it and I forget what’s it about the next day.

Dam you Shopper’s Drug Mart – and all your $19.99 perfumes! (not good for my perfume addiction, as i DID NOT need anymore additions to my already large collection).. So as you can tell i bought this gem! Rarely do I see such a designer perfume on this much of a discount! There was a tester in store, so i spritzed and walked around, but I had to keep sniffing my wrist! I LOVE anything patchouli so I HAD to have this one! I really like the EDT version.. but find it doesn’t last on my skin. This one is a lot darker like some have already said.. but I like it for the cooler months here in canada! ..

My first true blind buy, just today. Hadn’t ever heard of it. The Shoppers clerk told me that someone else had two of three bottles on hold (could that have been you, Madsiegal?) so I only had one chance…
Sooooo pleased with this!! I love rose as a layering fragrance and this blend is so nicely balanced. The pepper and citrus combined with the rose is fresh, spicy, mature but not “old”, vibrant and bright but not too “young”. Bold, but somehow soft. The patchouli and musk give it a beautiful, womanly depth. Crazy lasting power and promises to be heavenly on a cold winter night. Can’t stop smelling myself! Definitely hope to repurchase!

I am soooo sad… I have been looking for this at every shoppers all summer because it goes on sale every now and then but only like 3 bottles at a time apparently. So finally I get it, 2 actually …. And it’s either the wrong one or my skin chemistry doesn’t mix well with it :(. … I guess I should rewind: I got this because a lady at work had it and I follow her around whenever she is wearing it! She said it was the black and pink one .. (Not the EDT) and it just smells so bad on me , like pickled roses …. I’ve been waiting for it to change but it’s not and the girls I work with even said uhm no.. So I guess I’m wondering, was it maybe the EDT she has?? It’s warm and soft and floral ish but not overly if that makes sense. Help!

An odd but charming mix of rose, musk, pepper and aquatic notes. A definite departure from my usual sugary tastes, I see this a perfect night time and cold weather perfume. This goes in my “days and nights I want to feel my actual age” section. If you are familiar with Kerastase Olio Relax, Ma Dame smells quite similar, just a bit more earthy and rugged.
    UPDATE:
I used to associate rose fragrances with grandma’s and virgins, not anymore. This stuff is lovely and best in colder weather.

I also grabbed my bottle from Shoppers Drug Mart for such a great deal! After one wearing I’m seriously contemplating a back up bottle as well!
I find that personal chemistry and perfume is such an interesting thing, after reading all the lovely reviews here I was expecting a rose with some serious attitude. Yet on wearing this gorgeous fragrance I found it to be a very distinctive, pure rose scent. There was definitely the edge from the patch at first but it really settled and smoothed out to be much more rosey than I had expected! I’m a lover of spices, amber and patchouli so I wasn’t afraid to experience what others had, but it seemed to be a bit tamer on me. The lasting power was great, I could smell it the whole day and into the evening. My daughter commented positively on my perfume twice that day, so in all if was definitely a success, I am curious to see how it performs under different temps and seasons.
I can see this gorgeous fragrance getting lots of wear over the fall and winter!

Picked this up as a blind buy – LOVE it! I have the edt version as well and I would say this is the dark version, it’s deep, dark & sexy. I picture black roses wrapped in crimson ribbon & lace. It’s not your normal rose scent, it’s sultry and alluring very easily bringing out the naughty side of a personality.

Desperately disappointed in this one. I bought it because I hought it would be a more economical way to enjoy the EDT scent I’d sampled in a local department store. Why oh why do certain designers insist on changing the fragrance COMPLETELY when they launch an EDP? This smells NOTHING like the original and as another reviewer mentioned, it’s so androgynous I thought I’d mistakenly bought a men’s fragrance. I had to double-check that JPG hadn’t released this in a ‘pour homme’ version or something, which would explain the black packaging. I’ve likened it to Ralph Lauren’s Romance but in all honesty I don’t even think it’s as feminine as that. Be warned if you’re thinking of purchasing this one; it’s unrecognisable to the original.

I bought this cause I wanted something that wasn’t to sweet and smell like caramel like my other perfumes. this is a dry patchouli scent. its slightly sweet too. i dont really picture a girly girl wearing it. the commercials always give u a feel of who its for 🙂 I love it 🙂

    My ALL time favourite EDP!!
I’m SO sad that it has been discontinued. When I found out it was discontinued I bought 6 bottles on a trip to Dubai. I’m down to my last 50ml bottle 🙁
EVERYONE comments how nice it smells, & that it suits me when I wear it!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring it back #Jean Paul Gaultier. (The EDT doesn’t smell the same on me)

    Ma’dame,
I got you in a blind swap the other day and I think I LOVE you!!! You are everything I need and want in a perfume, you might be me in a bottle. You are fresh, bold, striking, edgy, sweet, sparkling, strong, girly, and womanly, with a masculine edge. You’re the black studded biker ankle boots I just bought. You’re a pronounced beautiful edgy rose. You are what I’ve been searching for. You are such a pretty scent I think my mouth is watering as your clouds of rosy goodness float past my nostrils. Your black and pink bottle is the perfect representation of you. Ugly and pretty. White and black. Hard and soft. You are a juxtaposition of scent molecules. I think I love you!!
Update: This stuff is so dang good!!!

Wow! This is one spicy lady! I think this is one hot perfume…its masculine but sensual. It’s so different than our lady JPG original. JGP is sweet and musky. This one is heavy pepper and patchouli softened by the rose and musk. If it makes sense, this is a feminine masculine smell. I may recommend it for cooler weather. Last night I wore it on a warm Texas day and the patchouli just jumped out and punched me in the nose. I don’t mind patchouli but not like that. Then, my patchouli loving teen smelled my neck and said ” ooooh what is that?” That’s when I knew this is a patchouli queen. I love it…its smoking HOT!

Fruity rose patch. Don’t get much pepper here, but maybe that’s what makes this smell so lively. The rose is different to my other rosey scents,I love the description “badass” which suits it perfectly. This is a versatile perfume, I could imagine it being worn as easily in an office or by a sexy femme fatale. Its dry down, in particular, is beautiful.Lovely!

I love this scent. Will surely buy a bigger bottle next.this is a sure contender for my signature scent.it is a very interesting rose and long lasting. A compliment getter.this dries down to a musky-rosy scent closer to a cream scent which I find so cosy and sexy.

rose bomb! last 24 hours (seriously). sillage monster for a couple of hours.
i don’t really get pepper, just enough musk, a bit of patch, perhaps a teensy bit of wood sometimes…love the citrus opening.
i keep wearing it and wonder if this rose is a little too synthetic smelling for me?
…but at least the rose stays as it is (fresh, bruised, close up) and never turns sour of rotten fruity, like many other rose scents.
i still love it….not sweet, sour or too “anything”…just nicely put together and balancing really well on my skin.
but you can’t wear anything the next day as it still comes through underneath whatever you are wearing! well it did on me and i have had a wash!
if you love musky rose, then give it a try. this is not a dewy rose, nor a sweet amber rose or an NR for her rose…it is a rose of its own. like sticking your head in a basket of fallen GM red rose petals.

  33. :

    5 out of 5

This is fresh and sharp. I wouldn’t say it’s a dark fragrance in the smokey/incense-y way we normally mean a dark fragrance. This is a sharp black fragrance like the stiletto heel of a black patent leather boot.
It’s a badass rose, a rose that you don’t mess with. This isn’t a dewy spring rose for a young girl, or a powdery dried rose for a sweet old lady, this is a spiky snarling rose that has facial piercings, and gets in knife fights. This rose’ll punch you in the gut and steal your wallet, blast its stereo at 4 in the morning and curse at its mother. This rose is a juvenile delinquent, a threat to floral society, it doesn’t give a damn about its bad reputation, or your rules, this rose ain’t gonna take it.
This, frankly, is the kind of rose I can get behind.
Update: After further wearing, this dries down to something a little gentler, and sweeter with a lovely almost aquatic note and a particularly beautiful patchouli.

This one is not nearly as sexy or mysterious as I had hoped :/ I give it a 6/10 to be fair, but no way is this a dark classic scent i.e. average at best and not signature material!:(

  35. :

The EDT is a bit too heavy on the citrus for my liking, this is basically the same but less orange, it’s great.

  36. :

Looking at the notes, I’d say this is definitely not my type. But Jean Paul Gaultier is a genius and he’s the only guy that makes me fall in love with such combination of notes! This is definitely a rebellious and sexy scent. It’s long lasting and sillage is great. And the bottle is to die for…I love the EdT version too but if it feels a bit too citrusy for you, try this one. You will fall in love.

Just bought it few days ago and Im totally in love with it. It’s sweet, sensational and sexysexysexysexy.
Rose and pink pepper in the opening, vanilla and musk in the drydown.
Belive me, if you find the proper parfume that fits your chemistry, it will be just perfect instead of being synthetic. It’s always the key.
I would recommend it to wear on an evening party or on a first date, but be careful with the amount;) (two little spray will be enough through the night)

Excellent pepper perfume, very long lasting with a genius bottle. I could wear this all year round even if it is very hot cause this perfume is growing on me and at some point it gets sweet and very sexy. I want to try the etd as well. I love it and recommend this to all pepper lovers. Finally is very modern and not heady at all. Super hit for this summer !!!!!!!!

I love when a perfume can be elegant, but still has an exciting twist or a playful note.
MaDame definitely has class- without missing the fun.
When it first came out, I only had the edt- and didn’t care for it at all, I didn’t like the ads and didn’t even bother to try the eau de perfume. Then I finally did, and liked it very much.
I love pepper- in MaDame the pepper is very strong, and the rose swings along rather lightly.
It’s a perfect perfume for a night out, sexy and exciting!

Thank you Fragrantica and reviewers for leading me to this perfume. Ma Dame was another blind buy for me. I’ve worn Ma Dame quite a bit since I got it. I’m a fan of the rose/pink pepper/patchouli mix in general and a lot of my fragrances feature these notes. What sets Ma Dame apart is the citrus element. The orange here is pretty dominant and it brightens and livens this otherwise musky and harsh mix making this fragrance quite refreshing and intriguing. I can understand why some people described the dry down as synthetic/plastic. The orange here seems to stretch for a very long time, but I find that it doesn’t really turn bad on my skin. I get compliments everyday when I wear this perfume. Love it!

Found this edP bottle on a boat cruise, very low prized…last bottle .I knew I liked it due to having tried it before and the notes are all on my side –
pepper, rose, patch, cedar and musky notes. It was mine
, just like that! Thanks Fragrantica and fragrantica reviewers that have learned me what I like and to dare trusting it.
    Deep, sexy , balmy…
    Update
If you’ve not like me have pepper and patch and rose on front row of notes…this is not for you. Don’t overspray…needs time to settle, quite strong beginning !
The bottle is gorgeous but the box was crap .in two pieces from the beginning.

An intoxicating perfume, which I love. Its cool, refreshing(patchouli/pepper) and a bit sexy in the same time(roses/musk), I remember that when I tried it I was wearing Michael Kors, and that one can fill a room with just two little puffs on my skin, well the JPG topped that with one puff on the back of my hand. Intense, but in a contemporary way, it can be worn during the day in your jeans, or in the evening in more romantic/formal attire. Amazing scent, sillage and longevity

just got this for pennies at a yard sale – full bottle – box and all – never used. so i was kinda chuffed since i like the original for it’s weird plastic barbie rose + musk effect.
well, this was quite different – almost like dior’s midnight poison and a tad bit like moschino cheap & chic with the prominent patchouli, musk and dark rose – lots of similarities if you bother to smell all of them side by side.
all in all, a more sultry version of the original, but without the plasticky citrus + grenadine combo – just add a sanitized patchouli and a very woody rose.

Love Ma Dame, both EDP and EDT and I have both. They are such beautiful fragrances and have great longevity. After drydown they smell kinda similar but i do find the EDT sweeter. These are 2 of my favorite fragrances, along with Womanity and Florabotanica (all unique scents imho!)

Hi, I have been looking for a modern chyphre floral without oakmoss for some time, and this looked like a good fragrance to start with. On first spray I got a lot of alcohol and strangely bubblegum and thought “what have I done”, or rather “what have they done”. This is not a chypre. Decided to give it another go. It certainly hits the spot as far as chyphre goes and the rose is almost fleeting. there is also some slight powderness to it too. this is by far his best scent. I found classique so overpowering I could not breathe. I will continue to assess it, but initially it ticks all the right boxes and there may be a future for chyphres after all.
update: this perfume has help me to find out what notes I like. I thought it was oakmoss that did it for me, but now I realise it is patchouli. This is quiite dense and dare I say sour, when compared to coco madameoiselle, as far as patchouli goes, which follows the rose and I can also get a sense of soapiness rather than powder.
Interesting, but nothing like my all tiime favourite aromatics elixir, which was what I was hoping for,

I blind buy a 75ml of this based on these positive reviews and I regretted it! This is clearly androgynous scent. Can’t determine the rose note because it was too strong for me. WOW!
In my opinion this is Jean Paul Gaultier’s BEST scent ever!
I love the “dark and deep” touch that it has!
It stays on my skin (literally) for DAYS and everybody’s loving it! (Especially my husband).
I only bought a 30 ml bottle because I wasn’t sure if I would like it as it was a “blind-buy”, but it is absolutely AMAZING. I will buy the biggest bottle soon.
Mmmmmmm I actually smell it right now and I feel sooooo sassy.
A very very very classy and sexy perfume indeed.
If you’re one of those who loves perfumes that’s spicy, dark, woody and a bit “soapy” then you should BUY “MA DAME” YOU WONT REGRET IT!
UPDATE: In the description it says that it’s (only I guess) available as 50 ml and 100 ml EDP, but mine is a 30 ml EDP bottle. Why is it like that? Can somebody answer me on that question please? Mine is NOT fake of course, I bought it from Sephora (in Europe)!

Very nice and pleasant scent, quite smooth for JPG’s fragrance. This one I spray on paper, and it lasts for 5 days! Longevity is amazing and I really like the drydown, superb!

MY SECOND FAVORITE PERFUME NEXT TO JPG MA DAME EDT!!
Rose-woody is such a perfect combination. It has a touch of masculinity maybe because of the pepper note which made it different from the EDT version. I like this better than the EDT version but the EDT is more wearable, its for casual days while this one is for sensual nights. Mine is 50ml(with 100ml lotion), the usual size I get for EDP coz i wear EDT more often & especially because I live in a tropical country(Philippines).
If you able to read my review I suggest to try BOTH JPG Ma Dame perfumes. Im pretty sure you gonna like their UNIQUE-COMPLIMENT OVERLOAD-HEAD TURNING-SCENT.
***Longevity is 10/10. The bottle is unique & clear with JPG signature logo.
    Will I repurchase? Yes.

My 18 year old loves this perfume, it’s her standard. Very chic and floral, very summery to my senses. I didn’t pick up on the pepper very much, like Boucheron Initial, but apparently it’s there and adds the necessary “punch” for what could otherwise be just a sweet bouquet. Very feminine and that seems to be what we both like. Great for ladies of all ages, great bottle too!

This is a bold, “look-at-me” perfume and I get a lot of compliments when I’m wearing it.
The EdT smells less sharp and a lot sweeter on me, which is why I do prefer the EdP. All that pink pepper makes me feel happy 🙂

Sharp rose, alot of character, JPG .. a usual.. innovative and has a unique touch, I had fragile several years ago and it was innovative at that time, then came juicy couture and London that had the same dry down, but too late.. JPG took that direction in perfums before everyone did.. and till now I never smelled this rose before in any other creation, maybe it shares the rose with Black xs, but jpg is peppery, zesty, soapy and very dry.. while Blackxs has a bit coconut aroma that makes it darker or lets say a bit oily .. Ma dame EDP is a real winner for me

    Pepper, patchouli and soft rose.
MA DAME EDP is a fragrance for strong, intelligent women with a sense of humor.
The blast of pepper and patchouli in the opening give it a very sharp, fresh edge, so not everybody is going to like this. The sharp edge would suit intelligent lawyers or shrewd business women very well.
The pepper stays present the entire time, but in the drydown it is softend by the velvety rose. With the rose comes a soapy fake, slightly plastic smell.
There might be people that not like this note, but I love it. It’s so unexpected and yet fits so well in the composition. Very humorous.
I don’t think this is an office scent. I usually don’t care about such things, but the pepper and patchouli might indeed be offensive. It would go very well in court, however, or on a conference.
MA DAME EDP is very different from the EDT. More grown-up indeed. And less fresh.
Where the EDT has a sort of undirected wildness, the EDP has somehow learned to direct that wildness. Not tamed it however, just made it less … flashy.
It is the grown-up version of the wild punk girl, who has taken her life into her own hands and made something of it.
It’s funny, because I see that same girl-woman relationship between CLASSIQUE EDT and EDP.

I LOVE THE EDP!!! I just got my 75 ml bottle of Ma’Dame EDP after lusting for it for weeks. Fresh and longlasting!!!! Unique, too! Spicy, but the salted orange zest keeps it cheerful. The bottle is not bulky, but since the fragrance is longlasting, there is minimal need for respraying. I love Ma’Dame!

ma dame EDT and EDP are two worlds apart!they are very different, but I like both.actually I can’t make my mind which one I prefer.since EDT is more my style and smells similar to eau fraiche version, this one seem to be more provocative and the bottle l
