This came out the same year as Paloma Picasso and it reminds me of it quite a bit. Very oakmossy with spicy coriander, vetiver, almost hidden florals and a musky drydown.
This will be noticed, it’s not shy about telling you it’s there.

Interesting how the category of “Chypre Floral” has changed so much in the last 30 years! This is an archetypal Floral Chypre that bears no semblance to those on the shelves today.
This sophisticated floral is another masterpiece from the house of Jean-Marc Sinan. It boasts a classical pyramid structure that unfolds perfectly. No one note outshines the others; this scent is a lesson in balance. At first it feels very old school, with a sweet classic floral heart bound by green notes. As the notes open up, Lune comes alive in a beautiful symphony of dry Vetiver, Oakmoss, and tart Bergamot dancing with Lily of the Valley. As the perfume warms on the skin, a luxurious soapy quality of Aldehydes, Jasmine, & Roses comes alive. The Ylang-Ylang gives the heart a more languid note, which continues in the base.
Medium sillage with awesome longevity, it will be smelled by those close to you, as a scent of this sort should be. It would not translate well into bigger sillage if overapplied. This perfume is a wonderful example of how stellar quality ingredients in an iconic composition can be timeless. Anyone 100 years ago, or 100 years from now, would find this beautiful.

Lune also has a sister frag, Soleil… Has anyone tried it? Fragrantica, please add! 🙂

This is quite a lovely fragrance that somehow transports me back to the 80’s but I can’t put my finger (or nose) on what it reminds me of.
A little bit of Diva, a whiff of Maroc, a blast of dusky green vapors and a dry woodsiness that lasts after everything else has evaporated. It must be the rosewood!
Oddly enough, I have worn almost every perfume listed on “people who like this also like” and although Lune is similar it is very different.
An elegant detour from today’s fragrance freeway of fruity florals, rose explosions and celebrity synthetics.

I’m a man and I don’t like all rose note of floral type scent.
But, This scent’s rose note is wonderful!!…
Top note is very soapy, It’s that strong Aldehydes.
Then, several min’s later… rose and ylang ylang, etc flowery notes are aggresive moving !!!
    JMSL, I love this scent

My oh my, This one look so innocent and light, guess what, it’s NOT. First time I tried it it hit me with a bitterness I couldn’t believe. No flowers at all. This couldn’t be right? I have Gres “Cabochard” which it reminded me of so I compared them and it was more flowers in “Cabochard”. And that one has much leather to my nose. Now I’ve tried it several times and I get more flowers and not only bitterness. I think I’m going to like this, maybe even love it, given some time. But it’s still bitter. So it’s best to try before buy if you can.
