On me it is younger sister of Chanel no 19. It is less floral, more modern, more herbal and definitely unisex, but most prominent notes are the same. If classic no 19 is too old-fashioned for you, I suggest go for this one (and price-wise they are in the same league which is a rare thing fro niche fragrance) rather than for updated no 19 Poudre which in my opinion is terrible.

“Lune de Givre” was my first sample from Cloon Keen Atelier and I’m surely left with a need of sampling some other scents. First of all – this is top quality stuff, lasting long and feeling really natural smelling and elegant on the skin.
The scent itself is also superb! Completely unisex. The angelica is marvelous here. It’s almost mouthwatering, smells almost like herbal tea with all the lovely warmness and subtle creaminess. Truly beautiful. It does get a bit too soapy and clean for my liking, but nevertheless the scent is very pleasant.
I’ll try to hunt down more samples from this line and I suggest everyone to do the same. Lovely thing.

A clean, crisp galbanum and angelica -like gin and fresh celery- blended with a dry, earthy vetiver. It’s a rugged, natural smell that calls to mind a dapper Cary Grant type returning from the hunting lodge, carrying the the green woodland air on his tweed jacket.

A beautiful musk from the start to the final drydown.
This perfume is not sharp or sour in any way and the musk note on my body is sweet, woody and subtle.
Lune de Givre reminds me of the type of smell produced by Escentric Molecules. The difference with this lovely fragrance is that it doesn’t have synthetic, chemical, man made notes like Escentric. (That’s not to say Escentric isn’t beautiful, but generally, I like natural accords in my perfumes)
On my skin this scent is musky sweet, woody and light. It’s a truly beautiful, addictive and unusual fragrance. The longevity is excellent. I put a few drops of this in my cleavage in the morning and I was still getting heavenly wafts at tea time.
Highly impressive, top end, quality perfume.

I tried this and Terre de L’Encens by the same house, and sadly neither worked for me. In the sample bottle they smelled pleasant enough, maybe not quite what I expected, I found both to be more airy aquatic marine than woody or oriental.
On skin neither worked for me.
Lune de givre was the more rounded and balanced of the two, for me, but it still had a sharpness, a sour tang, that does not appeal.
I am not sure what is going wrong with this on my skin, but sadly it is a no. Even though all the listed notes appear in other perfumes I enjoy they don’t work in this combination on my skin.
I think these would be better suited to people who like lighter, watery, airy scents. This one was definitely the smoother more rounded of the two, but it isn’t for me.
