Description

“Violet is the color of majesty and mysticism. Of mystery and magic. Of inspiration and harmony… in Lumen_esce, violet becomes electric. It’s main ingredient, Violettyne®, is the 21st century’s answer to the wistful, powdery fragrance of violets: preternaturally bright with a metallic vibration, edged in fluorescent green. This cutting-edge captive molecule turns scent into light with Lumen_esce. Boosted by a cool-as-cucumber essence of violet leaves, the sizzling Violettyne® shoots high-voltage current from bloom to roots. Petals aquiver, the flower scatters scented powder on a springtime posy (freesia, jasmine, iris and rose). Patchouli Prisma, a high-tech natural ingredient distilled and reassembled to enhance its woody warmth, sheds black light on the radiant bouquet.” – a note from the brand.

Watery, melon, slightly aquatic, too simple for my taste

This is very purple. light violets, freesia, some white floral as well mingled within an airy notes. Summer blend and definitely not citrucy but has some sour citrus notes. Also it has some greeny note, and i believe it’s the violets leaves. i can’t sense roses or patchouli, but i can sense a tiny bit of jasmines.
After around 5 minutes to 10 the violet leaves & freesia conquers with the help of violets.
After 20 minutes, i start to smell the roses coming sharp with violets and stays for long.
Quite mild, nothing that much of special unless you are a violet lovers.

I have a sample vial and dabbed some on. It’s only been on for about 10 minutes. It’s starts rather loud. It is reminiscent of Annick Goutal’s violet soliflore, The Unicorn Spell, and Heeley’s Iris de Nuit, all of them in turns -but with a big blast of ozone. It’s smells pastel, but somehow neon as well. High pitched and shrill -both qualities I don’t care for. I was expecting “crisp”, and even “sharp”, but this is beyond that. It has settled down since first dab and gotten softer, but the high pitched quality remains.
Actually, the more it settles, this is a LOT like The Unicorn Spell- maybe a bit more of a fuzzy green note thrown in. So if you love that, I think you will enjoy this.
Ok..Half-hour in…sweeter. Sweeter than TUS. Now it smells more like a very brightly violet scented laundry detergent.
