Sweet and joyful scent; like a delicious and innocent kiss on the cheek.
I though that I have already trained and cured myself from purchasing blindbuys but I just could not resist Loverdose Red Kiss. The scent I have been keeping an eye on for a some time and now finding it for a bargain price just over a week ago. Especially if it is being discontinued, the fact which can be indicated by its increased prise tag as well as increased difficulty to obtain it.
I finding it to be a great daytime fragrance; a very uplifting and straightforward scent with no surprises. I use it when I fancy something sweet and playful and do not want to take myself seriously. Just spray it and enjoy it!
Loverdose Red Kiss is not flirty or naughty, but nice. Heartwarming floral fruity scent for colder days that stays with me for a reasonable few hours and stays close to me (and to those around me who happen to enter my private space 🙂 )
In fact, „good“ and „nice“ was also a verdict from my husband. So nothing mind blowing here as there are many scents that can score this exact comment from him.
I do not like putting an age group to whom the perfume might suit the best, but I think that 20 years ago (when I was in my late teens) Loverdose Red Kiss could have worked as a special evening scent. Now however I am simply going to enjoy it although I already know that repurchase is not going to happen.
Still, I believe the life is not about fancy and expensive things but rather about the ability to appreciate the simplicity and the joy of living in the moment. Hence I just spritz, breath and adore this sweet little (Red) Kiss.
    Edit:
The dry down is actually the best part. It is wonderfully sexy. That initial carefree but very comforting sweetness transforms and develops into something that has completely sensual character. I did not see this coming at all and there is something – at this fine and final stage of the longevity – that reminds me of the sexy and seductive Mugler´s Angel, and which I fell head over heels recently.
Do I perceive this similarity since both of these perfumes share the notes of patchouli and the element of that brilliant edible sweetness? That tantalising aroma, which I guess helps to create that well known Angel´s personality and shines through immediately after the first spritz whereas in Loverdose Red Kiss, it comes to life towards the final phase? Or am I just imangining the unimaginable here?
Seems like, in Loverdose Red Kiss there is a surpise after all.
(However I am slightly puzzled as to why Loverdose Red Kiss has been categories under Oriental Vanilla when there is no vanilla within the suggested notes of the perfume pyramid.)

I like this. It’s a hazelnutty and sugary fragrance that’s quite sexy. When I wear this it does smell very synthetic on my skin though, almost like cheap chocolate so I don’t reach for it very often. Nevertheless, this has to do with my personal preference and I’m sure it could be more enjoyable on others. Overall this is a very good deal regarding the low price so I recommend this!

I really like this one. I want to say that it’s a creamy/vanilla sugary scent with depth. It’s great for people who want an enveloping sweet scent but hate gourmands. It’s well-blended and I can’t pick out individual notes. You won’t notice the cocoa and hazelnuts here, but it’s still a nice sweet scent.

On me this smells exactly like viva la juicy with hazelnuts. Was pretty surprised when I tried it. Its decent for its price.

I was tempted to blind buy this one but luckily i foubd a sample. The sugary nite here dominates the perfume. i think that te hazelnut is way in the background. This perfe would be better if it is creamier less sugary. it lacks some depth. sorry, i would not be buying a full.sized bottle though i am a HUGE gourmand fan. longevity us good, projection is fine. i can get whiffs of it now and then. but the sugary note in this is makes it very girly.

This perfume made an odd impression on me. The synthetic sweetness loudly proclaims itself at first smell and lasts for many hours. For some reason, however, I feel myself drawn towards precisely this sweetness. It reminds of something from my childhood, something I can’t put my finger on. A sugary drink? A popsicle? A scented Playdoh? I liked this synthetic smell so much I almost bought a full size. At the last minute I thought better of it. I’m not sure I want to smell so synthetic..Now I only use the sample when I am alone.

This smells nothing like TM Angel Muse! This is britney spears fantasy mixed with some spiced vanilla bathroom cleaner that is cheap smelling. Dont insult Angel Muse…This cant even compete with Angel Muse..no way!

Mmmm, I am absolutely smitten with this one. It’s alluring, sexy, irresistible, divine, delicious, heavenly, an aphrodisiac for sure. The longer that it sits on your skin, the better it envelops. Personally, I think the bottle is the most attractive one out of the three that Diesel have put out, I really love the intense red shade! Get ready for compliments…

This is at first a little sour, which I think must be the green apple, & a smooth sweetness. It gets a little less sour as time goes on. It starts with a nice medium projection & goes on that way for at least 8 hours. Its never over powering or strong on me. I ordered this and BLack Xs for that chocolate, berry fun but sexy fragrance. Black xs smells very good but the sillage & longevity are terrible. This perfume is a real winner & what I was looking for. Def worth the price since it preforms so well.

This goes on super strong at first! A powerhouse and it gave me a headache! The dry down reminds me a lot of TMs Angel Muse though; very creamy and rich chocolate hazelnut. Absolutely delicious.

I bought this gorgeous fragrance a year or so ago and it is a gem. Hardly worn but I have to say…
…It is the most perfect perfume for valentines! It takes a minute or so to develop and when it does you get sweet gourmand notes making their entrance.. nutty smooth hazelnut and fruits, jammy fruits and a very playful sweet fragrance starts to preform. Onto delectable vanilla which stays throughout.
Now can we talk about the bottle! It’s perfect. Cut glass dimensional heart shape! Perfect ‘love red’ colour. A sexy design. I really admire it, others will too.
Reminds me of Snow White’s wicked stepmother queen.
Glamorous , strong and beautiful but wickedly sweet and spicy with a warmed dry down.
This is good for hanky panky antics and romantic valentines liaisons and for a club night out or date night! But don’t hide the bottle spray this openly in view of your lover! They need to see it!

I think it is the best gift idea for Valentine’s day. The red heart you can give for a women. It is amazing idea. Isn’t guys? It is warm, chocolatty, seductive and very long lasting parfume. This bottle is devine as well.

I have finally found it on ebay and ordered mine last week. With all the snow and ice storm all across the country, my order is still somewhere stuck in Quebec. I can’t wait to own this gem.

What happens to a fragrance when JeRemy YouTube raves about it? Either the price goes up or the damn thig would be out of stock for months in various drug stores + on line stores.
It has been out of stock for like 2 mOnths on different online stores as well as in shoppers drug mart across GTA. I happened to find a tester in one shoppers drug mart last night . The first sniff and I was in the heaven. This is what heaven would smell like.
I am surprised whipped cream is not one of the notes here. All I smell is delicious whipped cream . It has been on my wrist for almost 20 hours and considering the fact that I have taken a shower and washed my hands multiple times, this beautiful fragrance still stay put. A big thumbs up for Jeremy for the review.
On a separate note: this is still out of stock even in shopper’s drug mart and you will be lucky to find it in their display (tester) to try it on.

It’s so strange to me that I had never liked vanilla, oriental type perfumes. My absolute favourites had always been aquatics, fruity citrus green type scents and as I’m getting older I have started to love these scents, I bought this last night. Again me with my $19.99 shelf at Shoppers Drug Mart, and I love it. The only down fall is that I’m having a hard time smelling it other than right after spraying it. So I am going to keep trying it and hope it somehow that it does start to work. Love this! If you love the purple bottle one than you’ll love this

I blind bought it because of the notes, I thought it was impossible not to like it and I was right, I do like it. To me this perfume smells similar to the ones in the juicy culture line, but more nutty (and better, much better), I don’t think it smells like angel or something. When you first spray red kiss the smell is too sharp, but within 10 minutes or so it becomes softer, which I prefer. It’s not overly sweet or too strong, not at all. Good longevity, moderate sillage. If you like the notes, go for it, I don’t think you will regret it.

  19. :

    3 out of 5

First off, I get bergamot and orange blossom; spicy with a hint of fresh green apple. It’s a very sweet scent, and I can see why fragrantica has put sugar as one of the top notes. To me, though, it’s not overly sweet. It’s a well balanced perfume with nutty, woody, warm, spicy tones. I don’t own Angel, but I did spritz some of it on my skin in a department store the other day and, to me, Loverdose red kiss smells pretty similar. I tried YSL’s Black Opium too and, again, I smelt a similarity. Having said that, however, this perfume does have it’s own character; it really is pretty unique.
Coming through in the dry down, I get the scent of apricot and warm amber with, perhaps, a touch of blackcurrant mixed in. I still get the orange blossom (which seems to be ever present), but there’s also a nutty, chocolatey, vibe, with something akin to cocoa butter going on in the background. The overall impression is one of warm, gourmand, spiciness.
I would say this perfume is perfect for late summer going into Autumn; it’s good for winter too. It’s ideal for cold evenings. It is strong and pretty heavy. The sillage is good and, if you apply enough, it should leave a pleasant trail as you walk. It definitely calls for the attention of those around you. People are going to notice this scent; even if you don’t apply too much. I love it; it is one of my favorites.

This could have been absolutely wonderful. The notes are simply delicious and remind me of a sweet vanilla cookie with lots of sugary icing. But it’s so so strong! I mean it is stronger than Piguet’s original Fracas! One spray will just blow you away and last for hours. This could be ok but for me it’s too powerful. And that says a lot because I wear fracas regularly. And I am fine with the sillage and power of fracas where many other people can’t tolerate it. I think it reminds me a lot of the female version of JOOP! from the 80’s. It brings a nice flashback of a more innocent time in my life to mind. But I really can’t get over the sillage and sheer power of one spray. So I admire this from afar and don’t wear it.

Very gourmand or sweet, eatable. Sugar, honey, patchouli – it’s all in the composition. Strongly these notes are dominant, and also contains notes that you do not feel at all, such as apple green. Ambra is also very well complemented. Sweet sweet like some chocolate candy with toffee or honey. How much for me? I recommend to the devotees of Angels and Aqualinas. Durability pretty good – about 5 hours.
    Personally to sweet for me.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

The first thing I smell in Loverdose Red Kiss is black currant. Fruity, fresh and sweet with some citrus and patchouli, a typical start for a modern fruitchouli.
After a while it becomes creamier, orange blossom joins the sugared currants and patchouli. The nut and cacao notes do remind me of a hazelnut spread, but they’re not dominating the other notes so this doesn’t smell like a jar of Nutella.
The scent changes more and more from fruitchouli to gourmand in the drydown. I sense an unlisted vanilla note, too.
This fragrance isn’t unpleasant, but it’s so very sweet from start to finish that I find it a bit annoying after a few hours. Maybe I like the beginning more than the end. It developes from sweet to sweeter.
It lasts quite well and shouldn’t be oversprayed. I sprayed on too much when I tried it the first time and the nutty note was totally drowned, it made an unrefined impression. Sprayed lightly I liked it better.
I read comparisons to Just Cavalli Gold and Black Opium on here, but I don’t think they’re similar. I like both better than Red Kiss.
Nevertheless, this is a nice fragrance for those who like it extra sweet.

Soft and creamy sweetness. Sugary jasmine rounds out the nutty hazelnut cacao accord. There are a few nondescript fruits that add body to the fragrance that aren’t that noticeable but pleasant. I find creamy notes like these last and last on my skin, if I leave the house for the day wearing this I’ll still smell it softly when I return home that evening 🙂

This has become my everyday perfume. And I get so many compliments! It´s a rocky gourmand perfume with a youth twist. This one radiates passion and flirtatiousness.
The cacao and the hazelnut are the heart of the scent without being overpowering. Clear notes and a gentle sweetness.
It also has amber and black current that gives the scent a deep and muture structure.
reminds me of poison girl by dior.

This is my first impression of the Loverdose Red Kiss.
Last month, in the middle of March I walked into the perfume shop looking for something that I can wear in warmer weather. While testing a few fragrances and not finding anything that I loved at the first smell!, the saleswoman walked towards red kiss overdose and sprayed it for me on a piece of paper, and while she wanted to move on quickly, I felt very drawn to its sillage that was still in the air. I was checking my samples to make sure it was coming from this one and claiming that it’s a very beautiful strawberry smell! The saleswoman was standing there as she couldn’t understand what I was talking about! And now that I’m checking notes on Fragrantica I understand why! LOL
It smelled like a mixture of strawberry, sugar, hazelnut, and a trail of cocoa(not the real strawberry fruit but the smell you get in the strawberry ice cream and a lot of people find it very synthetic, but I love it!). It smells like two scoops of ice cream one being the strawberry flavor and the other one a coffee hazelnut scoop. Although it’s a straight up gourmand, I don’t fell like it’s something that you’d want to eat, like a lot of other gourmands out there.
In those minutes that I was in the shop, I felt that it was disappearing so I did another two good sprays on the paper, and I brought the test paper home.
After half an hour a very pink kind of patchouli and the bold jasmine appear and join the show while it becomes less sugary and I cannot smell strawberries anymore. The dry down comes very late and smells like a quiet amber and apricot to me. On paper, the longevity was 12 plus hours. I left the paper in a drawer and left for travel and when I checked after two weeks a little bit of amber was still present. So I assume that the longevity would be good at least on clothes.
I’m yet to go back and test this properly. Here’s hope that I would find a love in this beautifully represented fragrance, but I hardly think that it would make for a summer scent. Maybe for early spring?.
I checked a few other reviewers already said that they smell the strawberry and berry jam! Now I can relax and be happy about not having a crazy nose! Lol!
    I will hopefully update soon.

I won this perfume in a contest. It is very sweet and it has this Black Opium and La Vie est Belle essence and in a way it reminds the original Loverdose. I can smell the cocoa and hazelnut notes along with sougar and patchouli. As it dries down I can smell something soury, most likely is the lemon and I can even smell the amber the next day on my clothes. All in all, I believe that if someone is into these sweet perfumes like Black Opium s/he will enjoy this one.
The longevity was more than 12 hours to me and the sillage was strong. I suggest if for fall or winter.

I bought diesel red kiss as soon as it hit the shelves, back then I was very new to the notes.I expected something more chocolatey, more nutty but I thought it’s problem of my unexperienced nose that can’t pickup these notes. Anyway I enjoyed wearing it for a while and used half of my 50mil bottle last winter and then forgot about it
Lately I found it and decided to give it another chance.I still like it very much but don’t love it.now I can pickup a Nutella vibe in it.it’s a creamy hazelnut chocolate just like nutella but there’s also sharp sweet fruit notes.I wish this sharp sugary fruitchouli was milder so that creamy hazelnut cacao could showup more.there’s also a whisper of orange flower that prevents it from turning to something foody so if you’re looking for an edible nutella scent you would be dissapointed.red kiss has a gourmand vibe but it’s also very perfumey.as time passes it becomes less sharp, more creamy and chocolatey and less fruity.all in all I like all the loverdose range.good fragrances for people with sweet tooth
If you want a chocolatey fruitchouli you’d love it
It’s not very longlasting on me,but at least it’s potent and has good sillage
    ❤❤❤❤

I am a huge Loverdose fan, the black bottle Tattoo is the fragrance that I think is closest to being my “personality” perfume.
When I first tried RED KiSS I was a bit disappointed in the hazelnut note, it wasn’t As full frontal as in GOLD ROBERTO CAVALLI and it was the promise of the hazelnut that had me excited about this and I was all ‘meh’.
Well me and RED KISS have had ourselves quiet a relationship now and I have to say with out a doubt this perfume has been commented on by men more than any perfume I own.
I work with a high turn over of public and men from every category have made positive comments on this more than any of my fairly sizeable collection.
    Dudes love it!
    Can’t argue with Statistics.

I was so excited to try this but on my skin all I got was a sweet-fruity mess. Everything mashed up together.
Smelled like jam and reminded me of all those current gourmand mainstream scents mixed up in one bottle. Not nutty at all on me.
    Quite strong.
At least it got a bit better after a few hours. A bit less intensity, less fruity sugary mess. A tiny bit more cocoa, just a tiny bit.
    Nothing outstanding.

Got a perfume sampler last night and this is in it. I’m like, so confused by this. I love the purple bottle so I thought I may really like this. Its all over the place. One minute it smells like a fruity fresh kind of soft spicy the next minute ita barely there. I was expecting a more sensual, slightly spicy gourmand type fragrance and its just not there. While it doesn’t smell bad, I will not be using my redeemable full size voucher for this one of the set!

  34. :

    3 out of 5

This is, to my nose, basically a sucrose infused version of Dolce & Gabbana’s pour femme. (Current edp or intense. Not the original “red cap” version.)
More brash, sugary, and lacking the consistency of the smooth sandalwood that D&G boasts. This has a brazen opening of tart berry jam and a persisting plasticky note, which D&G doesn’t, but in essence they really are uncannily, shockingly alike.
In my opinion, this is, simply put, a sweeter, less costly, less creamy, more playful and vivacious take on D&G’s pour femme. (I personally own the intense version, so I am mainly referencing that in particular.)
Blast of nastiness in the opening, but this soon departs and the scent morphs into an enjoyably fruity, candied orange blossom, woody scent with strong projection and decent/moderate longevity.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

This fragrance smells awfully familiar, and I finally figured out what it smelled like. It’s as if Vera Wang’s Princess came in an intense version, with YSL Black Opium in the top notes and a tiny smidge of dusty vanilla is reminiscent of the one in Hypnotic Poison.
On the skin, you get a syrup-y blast of orange and indistinct red berries, which quickly settles into a tangy orange blossom creamsicle with a tub of cocoa butter in the background. When it settles a few hours later, you get a creamy vanilla blended with a chocolate that is somewhere in between white and milk chocolate. However, the cacao note was not as prominent as I would’ve liked.
This is not terribly unique; in actuality, I find that this smells way too familiar and generic. This fragrance is very lacking in personality, with no depth of character and all. If you liked Vera Wang’s Princess (but was unimpressed by its lack of longevity) and Black Opium, try this.

  36. :

    3 out of 5

This smells like an undone celebrity fragrance to me. Not that I have anything against celebrity fragrances I own many of them. It just has an artificial candy sweetness and no blending and development and changes of the notes on the skin overtime. It isn’t original, it isn’t well blended. It is a fake candy sweetness smell. I wish I could say more, It has been a miss with me unfortunately.

This was on my radar since it was announced, and being a gourmand lover, I had to track it down.
Well… ok. It’s great. Sweet and smooth- just lovely. I love it.
    But…
It doesn’t last/project very well…. and it smells very very similar to Sweet by Lolita Lempicka. In fact, it smells like Sweet and Loverdose Tattoo mixed together. Also seems a little similar to Signorina Misteriosa.
    I don’t get anything overly nutty/nutella.
In fact, it’s a very sweet APPLE on me.
    But it’s just what I like and I’m not sorry I finally bought one… I mean two… 😉 blindly… 😉
update– This is really like gourmand/hazelnut/Nutella apples. I dig it and enough sprays lasts all day!

Thank you Melzy for this sample! Ive been wanting to try this for ages. On me, this is uber sweet, very much so far (Ive just put it on, may edit later when it settles if my thoughts change) like a number of other similar oriental vanillas. I’m not getting any one note yet other than sugar! I prefer Sweet Lolita and Angel Sucree to this one for sugar (and I LOVE those). This may just be more super sweetness than this ole gal can take on!

Bought the small bottle from superdrug for £15. At first it’s very reminiscent of black opium. But after about half an hour I can smell the cacao! Very yummy, don’t love it enough to repurchase but this will keep me satisfied til winter is over. Lasting power is okay. 5 hours
P.S my sister smelled this on me today. She inhaled deeply and said “mmm. you smell like sweeties.”

Impossible to find in my city, the dependietas of the perfume shops do not know, as they are unaware of the new release of Dior Poison Girl… I encourage you and buy them online without trying. Loverdose’s narcotic! Hazelnut note reminds me of Escada Incredible Me. It has a very long duration, and removing the drying of the first five minutes, the smell remains the same, unchanged. It is not as sweet as expected, but those perfumes that stand out on the average night. Find it me more oriental than vanilla.

Does no one else get rose among the top notes? For me, this starts floral and fresh. I think the freshness is the orange blossom, but there’s another note that is very like Modern Muse Le Rouge, and I think it’s rose … … Or perhaps I’m reacting to the red of the bottle?

I can not wait to get my mits on this one. I am a huge fan of the Loverdose range.
    Hey Santa?
    I’ve been good… sort of.

The scent is subtly sweet with notes of cacao and hazelnut making it a little headier, then orange blossom that seems to come out on my skin more as the day goes on. The nutty scent to Diesel Loverdose Red Kiss is something I love and I think this is what has me applying it over other more expensive and sweeter scents. It’s definitely a more seductive grown up sister to the other fragrances in the range and certainly one that would turn a few heads (or noses) on a night out. It’s elegant but demands attention – if that makes sense. I have even had a few compliments on this and people asking what scent it is, which is always a good sign.

Well holy crap this is the FIRST ever perfume with patchouli in it that I like! I can’t even believe it honestly! I was given a sample of this today, it’s nice! Has this where do I know this from type scent to it! It’s very nice!

If anyone has ever tasted red cola cubes, or even smelt them this reminds me of them. I don’t get any nutty smell, just pure sweet fizziness.

I saw this today, Oct 25, 2015, at Shoppers Drug Mart. I think it’s making its way to North America… Didn’t have a chance to test it yet. The bottle is beautiful and I love the other Loverdoses…

Wow, i really love this perfume!! Oriental vanillas/gourmands are my favourite and this doesn’t disappoint! It’s warm, inviting, creamy chocolatey heaven!
I get a huge blast of nutty chocolate when first sprayed, then it settles into a pleasant creamy, almost edging on fruity scent with the orange blossom and blackcurrant peeking through, but the hazelnut and cacao shine most in this.
I certainly don’t get a ‘nutella’ vibe from it, which i thought i would, as the other notes stop that from happening, and the patchouli and amber come through just enough to turn it into more of a deeper, not overly sweet smell. It dries down to such a warm inviting addictive scent, which lasts absolutely ages! Perfect for the cooler weather that’s fast approaching.

There are two reasons I bought Red Kiss. Incredibly beautiful bottle and creamy smooth middle floral notes.
When I first tested it I had maybe 5 or 6 other scents on as I was on a testing spree so I overlooked the opening but the middle notes stood out and I liked what I smelled. Creamy but a bit tame, and that came in contrast with the fierce looking bottle.
Then I got to wear it individually and distinct opening and drydown emerged. The opening is somehow sweet and sharp a la Amor Amor and the drydown is a beautifully sweet combination: patchouli, amber often make for a chocolate-like scent; add to that cocoa and there’s the delicious, intriguing mix matching the bottle.

My 6yr old daughter picked this one out because of th eawesome flanker – I can report that the inside is a perfect match; a boom of sweet dark fruity sweetness. Strong sillage means only a few spritzes will get you through the day. It also lasts forever, so have no fears about getting your money’s worth! My nose picked out a strong cherry (not listed) and range opening, which has settled 2 hours on to a mix if peach, cacao and orange blossom (combining to make a really sweet accord) with an amber undertone to give it some depth. I like it – and so does my daughter 🙂
    Have a great day!

I have just finished my bottle. It is a nice fume and I got a lot compliments. It i d sweet but not overpowering. The sillage is excellent and people walk around me to smell it. I don’t smell nutella of patchouli. What I get are ripe mangos, a deep and intense smell of it and I like it a lot. If I move I keep getting wiffs of a delicious mango cream. Nice fragance for hot days.

Interesting fragrance, at first sniff, I really like it! I own Just Gold which I love, and Red Kiss isn’t so similar to my nose…Just Gold is nutty from the start, and bright, and creamy..Red Kiss is more floral/ oriental to me, which a more distinct floral undertone…it isn’t so nutty to me…nonetheless, nice creation, I prefer it to Loverdose, which had a bit of a synthetic edge on me..it reminds me a bit of Tresor la Nuit..I won’t say it is a love, I feel it is a bit linear
