Wow!!!!You know this summer I have been craving the smell of pina colada like it’s nobodies business!I have always loved coconuts in fragrances but this has intensified recently. And being a South African summer a fruitier take is in order. Now I love and own the big boys like Versace Noir; Hypnotic Poison etc., but THIS little guy really blows me away!!!!It smells of an island cocktail right on the beach!Juicy, fruity, happy, not a care in the world!Sillage and longevity are medium!Better than a few high end perfumes, that’s for sure. This makes me SO happy!!!!!!!!!!!!It is a fruit punch – mainly pina colada – but I get a lot of the other fruits here, especially peach and papaya.A lot of attempts at summer cocktail-type fragrances have a weird artificial note going on, but I don’t get that here at all – it’s delicious and fruity throughout.Good grief it’s so yummy I could drink it!So happy to have finally found something to satisfy this craving!

I bought this and Do Brasil because of the reviews here. I’m actually very disappointed. Both of these fragrances are amazing in the first 15 seconds, like the original Escada summer perfumes. Strong fruit cocktails, nice, sweet and summery. But after 15 seconds, it dries down, or I don’t know… it starts smelling bitter and something that should definitely not be here. I cannot use them, because I don’t have the time to spray them again in every minute. And I’m serious, after a minute, there’s no fruit, no nothing, just that annoying smell. I’m very sad about spending 2×12 euros on these useless “fragrances”. If you want to save money on Escada summer editions, I recommend Escale Cote Azur fragrances. I just have the “Salsa” perfume of theirs, but it is a true gem, and it’s only 5.5 euros/100 ml. When I first smelled, I thought why the hell did I just spend ten times more money on the Escadas, if there are perfect copies for peanuts. Don’t get me wrong, I love the original Escadas, I own 6 different summer editions 30-100 mls. I really love them, but they just don’t last, and for that price, I was expecting a bit more. I just ordered another of these Escale perfumes (a Cherry in the Air copy), I think they deserve a page here in Fragrantica.

Bang Boom Bang !! Fruitsplash in your face.
But as fast as it appeared it dryes down to a pleasant, sweet, tropical scent that is soft and cosy.
Unfortunately longevity is poor and sillage to so you have to reaply often.

To start with a rant, this was a spray sample that I got on sale from TPC but, like so many of their “sale” sprays, by the time I got around to using it most of the perfume was gone. I don’t know whether these vials leak or whether they’re just so poorly sealed that they evaporate. In any case the “bargain” turned out not to be a bargain. However, there was about 0.5 ml left, so I was able to spray a bit of it for sampling.
The first thing I smell is strong, sweet, sugary grapefruit, a beautiful top note. Unfortunately, the grapefruit lasts less than a minute, quickly turning into a blatantly commercial fruity-floral scent with the standard harsh woody base and mega-sillage. In this phase, I could be wearing just about anything from the drugstore, or smelling the functional scent in a hair styling product. It’s wearable, but not something I’d seek out.
After 2-3 hours, the drugstore scent gives way to a surprisingly pleasant blackberry musk, which lasts several hours more. I wasn’t even expecting it, then started getting whiffs of it in the sillage. In sum, it gets off to a good start, sinks into mediocrity during the main act, and comes back with a lovely closing scene. If the whole middle part could be eliminated, I’d love it.

OMG I superlove this perfume! At first I thought it would be really strong but after I use it I got a different sensation. It lasts long, too; the second reason why I love it.

I got it today at the drugstore for 7.90€!
When you first spray it, it´s like pineapple right in your face! Very sweet, juicy and a bit sour. When it dries down it´s more like Pina Colada, with a warm coconut background.
It´s not very longlasting, but for that price it´s okay to spray more often during the day.
It´s defenetly a good scent to wear during the day to safe your good parfums for a special occassion.
The bottle looks very cheap, it´s just glass with a plastic wrap about it that peels off easily. But anyways. For a drugstore scent it smells good, fruity and like summer on an island!

You can get the Arthes scents here at the drugstores. They are very cheap. But I also find them very bad and artificial. There wasn’t one yet that was somehow ok. And I wouldn’t consider them as dupes at all. Just like I don’t see that Varens scents are dupes. They are just cheap drugstore scents.

Escada-esque floral fruity, summery juicy fragrance. Sweet and juicy, just like the pineapple in it, this fragrance will make you feel happy and carefree. And it might even take you away to a tropical destination, thanks to a little coconut. It’s a light, carefree, sweet delicious scent. I wish the Juicy perfumes smelled like this. Because this one is juicy – like fruit punch! The price is right; you can’t go wrong!

This is a really uplifting warm sunny day scent. True it’s got an Escada air about it but it’s not as syrupy sweet and heavy. To me it’s much more wearable than Escada and nicer over all. The combination of peach & pineapple leans towards mango. Litchi is strong in the opening notes but fades quickly to an accent. There is a faint hint of hibiscus, jasmine & papaya in the background, I don’t smell coconut at all.
Very well done. A fun, flirty, and happy fragrance. Glad to have add it to my collection in time for summer!
Update ~ I have to agree with mandashell that there’s a strangeness to part of the dry down. I was happily humming along in my fruity paradise when something made me stop and go “Wait a minute! What’s that smell?” As time passes the musk begins to raise it’s head, and possibly a touch of sandalwood. An odd fit, like putting a gray mouse in the center of a herd of fruit colored elephants. The elephants are still there but you have to ask yourself, why are they standing in a circle and what’s that dot doing in the center? It’s odd they thought it was a good idea to throw musk and sandalwood into the mix. Maybe someday they’ll reformulate it and remove them. I must also add that the lasting power is unfortunately poor. 2hrs is about the best of it with a very slight lingering trace after. I have to say the musk/sandalwood addition is possibly what will make this potential beauty be removed from my like list, we’ll see.

You know I do like this. It is fresh, tropical and juicy. I can even tolerate the pineapple note in this one when I’ve hated it in so many other fragrances. The biggest problem is that it causes my skin to itch! o.O And the second issue is that I am not very fond off the drydown because it smells a little strange at that point. Other than that it has a good lasting power, a welcome projection and an overall refreshing quality. ;’)

I agree with index, this is very similar to the Escada fragrances. Very juicy, fruity and tropical. The pineapple and coconut is what I smell the most at the beginning. The base just keeps the juicy mouthwatering element there but it turns a little more floral with the Jasmine and Habiscus. Mixed with the Papaya makes this like a nice tropical drink. I would love to wear this on a hot day or too the beach!

This is a wonderful tropical scent! The papaya and peach really stand out with a bit of the tartness of the citrus notes. And it is not overly sweet–more tropical. Perfect for a vacation to a hot climate. (I’m taking it to mexico in a few weeks:)

This is a dupe of the Escada Summer fragrances. I think this is a good (and cheap) alternative for Sunset Heat…For the lovers of this tipe of scent. Very girlish and fruity, and also quite long-lasting, but not my thing.
