Description

Love Generation Do Brasil is another fragrance added to the Love Generation 2011 collection. Inspiration for this fragrance is Brazil and the composition offers an exotic cocktail of pleasant and energetic notes. Rhythms of samba and chords of Pina Colada fit perfectly into the dynamic composition of the new Jeanne Arthes. Top notes encompass mandarin, pineapple and mango. A heart includes aromas of pina colada, peach and cotton candy, while a base closes with coconut milk, sandalwood, woody notes and sensual musk.

This was a blind buy off Perfumes.com because I wanted to try a Jeanne Arthes perfume and several testers were for sale at a great discount. I love fruity perfumes so when the box arrived today I ripped it open putting on Love Generation de Brazil immediately! It lasted barely 2 hours on my skin and I never left the air conditioning of my home so it wasn’t the excessive desert heat that evaporated it.
On my skin the only notes that I smelled was peach and a hint of cotton candy. Zero woods, sandlewood, musk or other ingredients listed for it. I am seeking a good mango perfume and chose this based on good reviews on Fragrantica but am disappointed. I resprayed later in day hoping heat outside would activate the mango, pineapple, and pina colada but no luck and it disappeared faster!
I tested spraying on my shirt and finally got a hint of mango and coconut only. I will use this as a layered spray on clothes to use it up but won’t repurchase it. I suggest testing it on your skin before buying it.

I bought this and Love Generation Pink because of the reviews here. I’m actually very disappointed. Both of these fragrances are amazing in the first 15 seconds, like the original Escada summer perfumes. Strong fruit cocktails, nice, sweet and summery. But after 15 seconds, it dries down, or I don’t know… it starts smelling bitter and something that should definitely not be here. I cannot use them, because I don’t have the time to spray them again in every minute. And I’m serious, after a minute, there’s no fruit, no nothing, just that annoying smell. I’m very sad about spending 2×12 euros on these useless “fragrances”. If you want to save money on Escada summer editions, I recommend Escale Cote Azur fragrances. I just have the “Salsa” perfume of theirs, but it is a true gem, and it’s only 5.5 euros/100 ml. When I first smelled, I thought why the hell did I just spend ten times more money on the Escadas, if there are perfect copies for peanuts. Don’t get me wrong, I love the original Escadas, I own 6 different summer editions 30-100 mls. I really love them, but they just don’t last, and for that price, I was expecting a bit more. I just ordered another of these Escale perfumes (a Cherry in the Air copy), I think they deserve a page here in Fragrantica.

Smells like a fizzy fruit cocktail. Good, not great. Useable for vacation purposes (I used it for summer in Kos) and it’s memorable for that reason.

What I smell is more fizzy instead of creamy, with a prominent peach and pineapple. It smells like a mixed drink– or cheap shampoo. It’s lacking the creamy coconut I was hoping it would have had, either that or the coconut’s totally overpowered by the former two. I still like the smell, and it’s very good and strong when first sprayed, but doesn’t last long (30m-1hr). I think it will be better and more suitable when the weather is hotter and there is some perspiration involved. Or it would make an excellent hair perfume! Anyways the price was right on point for this so I can’t complain too much.

I found this treasure at a discount store and purchased it on the spot, as it was only six dollars (US). I am a sucker for a tropical fragrance, I’d been circling this fragrance like a shark for many months, and this one hits all the right tropical-beachy notes – even if it is not as long lasting as I’d like (Miami Glow still holds the crown for tropical deliciousness, ambery, sultriness, longevity, at a low price point).
LG do Brasil is almost a dead ringer for Escada Taj Sunset. The noticeable difference is this one is more floral, a white flower, a hint of gardenia, while Taj Sunset veers more towards a fruity blast-Kool-Aid-accord. The Jeanne Arthes verges on fugacious, but lasts longer on me than the Escada.
Top notes are as listed in other reviews: a big mango punch. I didn’t detect pineapple, but did get a nice coconut, vanilla bean, white flowers, and amber. I agree with a reviewer, above, there’s a ‘sunshine’ note. The effect is warm and bright, welcome in the cold weather. There’s a sparkly citrus at open that fades. Drydown is warm amber and sugary mango.

This is truly Fruity Tropical Heaven.
Normally I can’t abide fruity perfumes they make me nauseous but I really like Jeanne Artes’s Brasil, in fact I love most her perfumes. They are all different (so far) and the bottles are beautiful and collectable.
If you love Mango, Pineapple and hot skin covered in suntan lotion, you will love this.
What hits me first is the most amazing Pineapple note and then the magic of tart Mango overload. I’m the lady you see sniffing the skin of mangoes in the shop…….Oh Yeah!!
Once it settles into your skin there is sunshine, a subtle hint of sun tan lotion and sweet juicy fruit.
Lasted all day on my skin and even longer on my clothes.
Great summer perfume and if you can’t get away for a holiday, just close your eyes and Brasil makes you feel like you’re there.

    Hello, people.
If you like mango notes, if you like mango – the fruit, if you (as I do) love to eat mango and mainly, if mango is one of your favourite fruits, then you are going to !!! TREASURE !!! Love Generation do Brasil. (In Portuguese one writes Brazil with S).
It is an exquisite fruity fragrance that really makes your mouth “water”. Yummy till the very last note. It is tropical, warm, light and really awakens and uplifts your spirit. And as if it was not enough, we have delicious pineapple and coconut notes that definitely “feed” your sense of smell.
I had never tried such a beautiful tropical fruity composition like this cute one. I do not regret getting this gem at all. And gladly, it is quite affordable.
Depending on your type of skin (mine is warm and oily), sillage is good, with mango leading the other notes, but not hiding them. Projection is average, but if worn on warm/hot days when you sweat, it will be a little more pronounced. Anyway, it is discreet and pleasant.
Love Generation do Brasil is the fruity fragrance lovers cup of tea, indeed. Or should I say “cocktail”?
    Enjoy!

Very close to Escada’s Rockin Rio. Age wise this is a young fragrance. Suitable for the younger crowd pre-teens to early 20’s.
Mango trumps the pineapple and coconut by long shot. This reminds me a lot of something you would buy in B&B Works. I spritz this on my clothing before I go to work in the morning. It lays the foundation for the rest of my stronger fruity type perfumes.
Sillage is almost non existent so as I mentioned before I spray my clothing with it instead since it doesn’t seem to last on the skin very long.

I bought this after reading several reviews and i am glad it was inexpensive. It has no lasting power and the coconut, tropical scent is quite demure, not what i had hoped for for a summer scent. I wound up using the Escada scents and I am not that crazy about them, but this lacked ummpfff.

Very nice summer scent..extremely tropical, fruity opening. Next we have cotton candy and pina colada…yummy. A very pleasant, fun, tropical scent. I wore this to work and had a male co-worker/friend tell me I smelled delicious! It lasts surprisingly long on me. If you like Escada scents..you will like this.

Does this scent smell similar to Escada’s Rockin Rio since both perfumes share a lot of the same notes??

Yummy! This is a totally ambrosial scent, from the first spray to the dry down.
Sweet, creamy coconut balanced out by the sparkling citrus notes — it’s like a tropical party on my skin. And the scent that lingers on the skin minutes after … the fruity notes and sweetness of the coconuts evolved into something feathery soft with the hint of musk, but still maintaining that luscious characteristic. This fragrance is quite intoxicating!
Sillage is very good, compliments abound when used. Longevity could be better but it’s such a beautiful scent that I don’t mind spraying it on me over and over.
