its kind of love hate with this perfume. sometimes its make me overwhelm with the boyish scent which is make me bit headache while i use it too much and in other hand i love the scent of cotton flower which is remind me of vs sheer love body mist.

As a lover of soft, pretty, fresh frags, this is my favorite VS perfume. Simple, yes. But balanced, and balanced is good. On me, it smells like a creamy peach ( love it, juicy and lush, not dry fruit basket) Dries down with fresh cotton. Not sure where people are getting the “masculine” smell….maybe the boyfriend cotton t-shirt thing? But that’s not a very strong note on me. Nice everyday scent.

I know milky/creamy aren’t listed in the notes or description, but this has a very light creamy feel to my nose. It doesn’t develop much past the initial whiff, but the drydown does have the cotton-juniper smell more intensely. Overall it’s a creamy peach + clean cotton + smooth juniper blend of deliciousness. It’s mild but very feminine. Didn’t get the men’s cologne vibe, although I wouldn’t have minded! I find the fragrance very relaxing. It makes you feel cozy and sexy at the same time. A good “snuggle me” scent! I love it. Downside, I just wish it lasted longer on me!

I must be going nuts !!! lol….but I don’t care !! I own 5 VS scents as of now. And this is the latest….Some VS scents are underated..IMHO.
I LOVE this new scent !!! Simple…mainstream…generic…??…well, sort of.
I only wished it lasted longer on skin…so typical that this occurs over and over again with scents we LOVE.
A great everyday “pick-me-up” scent. Florally cotton-ish and clean….maybe even “shampooey”…but whatever, it is a really nice scent…in a nice bottle too.
I own VS Dark Angel,VS Anger Gold and Dark Orchid Seduction, and Bombshell Paris. Loving them all !!! Major shock/surprise….

I got a bottle during the semi annual sale last time and I thought it would be pretty good with the apricot and boyfriend tee notes in it. I didn’t like it and I ended up giving it away. It reminded me of a soap that my grandma use to have in her bathroom when I was a kid which smelled masculine but clean. Also this gave me one bad headache and I never wanted to give it another chance after that. I think this fragrance is a lot different than other Victoria Secret fragrances so it’s nice to see something new they’re coming out with but it unfortunately didn’t work for me. Its clean in a soapy way and has a mix of feminine and masculine vibes to it.

This delicious. It smells luxurious and clean. Yet it is innofensive and appropriate for all occasions. Especially day wear or office wear. It lasts on my skin about 4 hours and silliage is soft for that lean in embrace. I find this to be so well blended and it is just lovely and effortless. I am not a huge fan of peach but this I suppose is my exception. I love it! ❤️ This might be my spring and summer fragrance. Spring love and summer loving ❤️

I was like boyfriend tee? What the hell is that?! Cotton flower. huh. I chose this 1 bc it smelled like the peach rm in my grandmas old mansion. Now that I’m wearing it though it just smells weird

Peach with synthetic sweet. Bit soapy. Romantic, sensual, bit on stronger/thicker perfume side. Juniper note came out only later. It smells like fluffy sweet breeze. This would easily fit with shampoos, creams, body mists. For teen and young woman.

Just received 1 oz. spray for $9ish during VS semi-annual sale, which was purchased as a blind buy. Before it arrived, I immediately read reviews from fellow Fragrantica members which were mostly positive. Yay! Then I was even more excited when I read it has “boyfriend tee”, cottony smell that’s essentially an inoffensive “healthcare” safe scent. That appealed to me even more because one of the managing partners at my work is allergic to some strong fragrances. (Thank goodness she hasn’t reacted to any of mine.) Well….wore to work yesterday, and I’m so sad and disappointed to say that it does not work with my body chemistry. ☹️ All the reviews describing it are right-on except, in my opinion, it’s has a rather strong powdery scent. Very strong! It’s definitely not for me. I’m glad it works for many others. While wearing, I felt self-conscious, to the point that I had thought the managing partner was going to pull me aside, behind closed doors to give me a warning. She didn’t. Lol.. I could not wait to go home and shower. While smelling it on myself ALL …..DAY ….LONG……, I noticed a very familiar scent. I smelled it before but couldn’t put my finger on it. — It’s Uncle Jimmy! It’s a cologne my Uncle Jimmy wears. It works for him; and he always smells nice, but don’t want to smell like him. In summary, it could be that association that it doesn’t work for me. It also smells like something from Bath and Body Works Bigelow Men’s line. Don’t recall the name. My husband purchased it, and we both agreed for him to return it.

Very subtle fragrance and pleasant for any occasion even though there is nothing special or unique about it. It is just simple and nice. On my skin it does not smell too fruity, nor too sweet at all, just RIGHT like a grown-up sweet, warm skin scent. I like it a lot and so does my hubby 🙂
It is perfect for day time, casual wear. In the evening, I layer with either Victoria’s Secret Tease or Noir Tease and the combination has become deeper, richer in a sexy and seductive way.

I haven’t bought any new scents by VS in months. They are all lovely, but follow the same fruity/floral and or sweet pattern. As much as I love those kind of scents, I have more than enough of them. The boyfriend T note caught my eye. I had gotten to sample it and actually loved this one, so I finally got a bottle of it.
Love is unique to the majority of VS. the cotton note is dominant and there’s a very subtle sweetness that I assume is from the apricot. Masculine? No way! My man actually likes this one! He thinks my two favorite scents border on masculine-chance edt and chance eau vive, but not this one. It’s a delicate freshly washed cotton T shirt.

This is absolutely a beautiful scent!
To me this is a feminine, soft, cashmere sweater-y, snuggly, nuzzly, cuddly scent. Lovely! (And that is the solid fragrance too) I need to get an edp!!!!

I went to Victoria’s Secret a couple days ago, and of course, I had to smell this new one. I read the reviews here beforehand and knew Love was some kind of “fresh” scent.
I really like the way the first spray smelled, but at the same time, it is masculine. You can smell the juniper most of all. The eau de parfum could be unisex because of the aromatic juniper. Funny enough, the actual juniper berries and bush in real life give me a headache and make me want to lean over in those same bushes and chuck my cookies. We have juniper lining the perimeter of our yard. When I smell it, my mind immediately associates it with Tanqueray Gin. Even when I was a drinker, gin was just so foul. I hated it. But in colognes and parfums, it’s fairly pleasant. The juniper here is a very green one. Also, there are woody notes.
Now, about the “boyfriend tee” note. 🙂 I’m pretty sure when many people smell Love, it strikes them as masculine because of the juniper and wood. It’s something you would smell on your boyfriend’s gently-worn, cotton t-shirt. Also, this scent dries down powdery, which is that cotton-fresh part of the aroma. I don’t smell any testosterone-laden manly sweat, though. LOL. So, that’s a plus, right?
The best part of Love is when it starts to dry down and warm on the skin. The apricot and boyfriend tee come out a little more. The part I really enjoy is the powdery aura. For these reasons, Love heads into more feminine territory. I could not stop smelling my wrist.
Fresh/masculine eau de parfums don’t deserve hate if they work on your unique body chemistry. As I said in a review of Beach Angel, which is also a zest-fully-clean, aquatic, masculine scent, I used to wear cologne. But Beach Angel does the same thing as Love when drying down. It has white florals and powder after it settles.
Another plus is the longevity and sillage — decidedly moderate, perhaps even heavy and long-lasting if sprayed liberally. When I came home from VS that day, I curled up in my “laptop chair”. Two days later, I can still smell Love when I walk by the chair. Use sparingly. Don’t overspray.
In summary, I really enjoy the scent of Love. Like another review stated, it “fills the gap” of a fresh, green scent that Victoria’s Secret needed. If you like powdery scents, you’ll probably like this.
EDIT: I got the 1 ounce bottle and I’m going to buy the the fragrance cream and the 3.4 oz bottle next. I like this more every time I wear it. I LOVE the powder. This is now much less masculine to me since wearing it a few times. This scent goes with my body chemistry better than most of my perfumes. I don’t know if I would call it suitable for the healthcare field, though. People can smell this. It’s not a skin-scent. I can’t wait to try Love during spring and summer!

Soapy, clean scent. Nice, but I would not call it extraordinary. Very soft stillage.

This is 60% fruit (especially apricot) and 40% cotton flower.
It’s a very fresh, girly scent. This is different from VS, though (no fruity/floral here) and I love it. The mixture of apricot and cotton flower is pretty amazing! Totally recommend. Also, lasted on me about 7 hours so good lasting power.
PS: Reminds me of the way HCO smelled at some point years ago so that’s how you know it smells good lol

Maybe we should show some ‘love’ and simply recommend this fragrance to those who either can’t or are not permitted to wear traditional fragrance like nurses. Seems like the cotton scent dry down may work for them. The other two healthcare scents I like are pure grace and petite Chérie. Very light fragrance in the healthcare workplace is a must.

This perfume has no kick to it whatsoever, this could pass as a deodorant.
First spray apricot, and very fruity and not lasting.
It is very fruity youthful, but not special or stand out of the crowd perfume.
For someone that wishes to purchase a classy strong smelling statement perfume, this is not the one.
This is a everyday fruity, youthful everyday nothing special.
The name of it baffles me because I do not associate this fruity pretty perfume with love. To me love is floral vintage.
I find this whole concoction not making much sense and not really representing as it is being marketed, for a connoisseur of perfumes this is simply not even worth spraying.
They should stick to making bras, this is nothing to what they are selling it too be.

If you want to smell like a cotton tshirt that just came out of the dryer, this is your fragrance!! Enjoy.. Not for me, but it’s certainly not offensive.

I really like this! I love victoria’s secret fragrances because they dont give me headaches so I can actually wear some of these fresher/clean smelling scents.
This opens with a blast of sweet apricot, which I love! Then it dries down quickly into a creamy cotton scent just like clean laundry and its actually quite cozy! I really like this! Its quite different from their typical fruity scents and its quite different to what I have in my collection, so Im happy that I purchased this!

I am a fan of VS perfumes in general- I find them wearable even when they fall short of unique. Of all of the recent new releases, Love is by far my favorite. It smells nothing like any of their existing perfumes, and is not an exact reincarnation of any discontinued perfume, either. Love is a fresh and clean perfume with a bit of a cologne/soap kick from the juniper. It’s not super masculine, and it’s not extremely girly. It’s just GOOD. It fits the void in the VS wardrobe that was created when Body by Victoria was discontinued (at least in my opinion). I highly recommend checking this beauty out!

Victoria’s Secret has put out a new perfume nearly every month this year, but this is the only one that’s really grabbed me, although it happened totally by accident!
I was in the store asking a manager about a free panty coupon and noticed he smelled really really good. Enough that I felt the need to tell him and then felt totally awkward about it until he exclaimed “That’s our newest fragrance!” and was able to give me the pitch on it, haha.
Based on the bottle and ads, Love is definitely trying to evoke a more elegant, mature essence than some of VS’s other perfumes, and I think the fragrance does a good job of that, at least with the top notes. The initial spray smells simple, fresh, and classy with just a bit of warmth, perfect for the Fall season. Unfortunately, as with most VS fragrances, the top note burns off quickly on me and what’s left smells generic to me. Must be the boyfriend tee.

This perfume is beautiful! I have been waiting for it to be realeased in stores, and today I purchased the 1.7 oz perfume, lotion, body cream, and shower gel. I love them all. This fragrance lasts all day on me alone, and it’s even nicer when layered with the other products. It’s easy to wear and not overpowering but can still be noticed. To me, this is an ideal signature scent. I love the cotton note even though I didn’t think I would because it’s cozy. Definitely try this one! It’s so pretty.

I had been waiting quite a while for this fragrance to be released because when I saw the advertisements for it, it strongly appealed to me in a way that VS fragrances haven’t in a long time. I also really like the bottle which is something I rarely say about their fragrances. The bottle seems higher quality then a lot of their other ones. As for the name, it almost seems too simplified in a way. Also what is it with “love” being the main focus in selling points w/ music, products, etc. these days? Anyways moving onto the fragrance it’s self.. I agree w/ the people below about the whole “boyfriend tee accord” note. Like what?? It’s a really beautiful fragrance and works amazing w/ my body chemistry. It isn’t anything complex though and like someone else said… I was hoping for something a little more richer and warmer too. But it’s not bad by any means, actually far from it. I ended up purchasing the 1.7oz bottle and the rollerball so I’ve been wearing it almost an entire day. Love is definitely a fragrance I can see doing well in a place like VS because it’s not complex, it’s versatile, and seems like something many different types of women (or men because why not lol) would like because of its laidback appeal. I don’t really have much to say about the notes because I genuinely can’t figure out what “boyfriend tee accord” smells like ahahah. But I do smell apricot in here. Love is subtle and slightly floral but idk if that’s the juniper note I smell or what since VS tends to hold back on disclosing the full list of notes. My boyfriend says he really loves how it smells on my skin and that it just suits me. So if your unsure, try it on yourself first because it smells a little different on me. I know that’s common knowledge in the perfume industry but a majority of fragrances smell the same on me as they do from the bottle and I don’t know why?? The lasting power and sillage works more like a Eau de toilette like most of their fragrances though. Anyways 7.5/10.

LMAO @died of a cocaine overdose. Ha! Love it.
But I smelled this today and it strikes me as EXCEPTIONALLY a one-note scent. That kind of simple, generic floral that I couldn’t quite place (apricot blossom I guess? I’d never heard of that and I don’t think I had smelled it either). I am no perfume snob. I eagerly await even every VS release. I own many of them! But this is quite uninspired even for me. Guess they exhausted their creativity with the ad copy and then worked backwards lol.
I wish they would put out something more traditionally “fall”, at least attempts at that are usually richer and warmer and have a higher chance of being interesting.

“Boyfriend tee accord”? That’s what marketing comes up with when the whole team died of an cocaine overdose and the intern is left to fetch some bullet points out of their notebooks and has to come up with something remotely doable. And yes, I am kidding so whoever’s offended by my sarcasm – apologies and please keep scrolling 🙂
Aside of my sarcasm I think that apricot and peachy scents are – again- in high demand?
