Thank you Fragrantica for the wonderful giveaway!
It is a soft scent. It reminds me of warm hugs and slowly falling in love with your sweetheart. Simultaneously it reminds me of a love that has lasted through ages and is comforting. The initial blast is a slightly sharp, but delicious blend of tea, magnolia and then honeysuckle to balance it out.
Around 40 minutes later I smell the same magnolia/honeysuckle/tea combo added with a sweet green quality. Smells like sweetened and cold green tea with a little hibiscus. I love this part. Very fresh.
Overall this smells floral, slightly sweet, and green loose-leaf tea. A very clean and comforting perfume. Not a bold statement, but rather refreshingly alluring. Much like cuddling with your long-term sweetheart.

In the interest of full disclosure I must let you know that I won this gorgeous perfume in a Fragrantica giveaway, but I was not asked to review this in exchange–I was just told to enjoy.
Oh, and enjoying it I am. If you like fresh, floral tea scents you will love this. If you’re a bibliophile in any way (as well as a perfumista) YOU WILL LOVE THIS. I don’t know which stands out more—the amazingly gorgeous packaging, or the very pretty juice inside.
The scent itself is simple, yet well done. The green tea note is neither too bitter nor too sweet—it is just right. The magnolia and honeysuckle are both soft and hover in the background, letting the tea have the front row. There is a faint, fresh outdoorsy honey scent that smells like fresh air in the summer. The fragrance gently settles into the woodsy drydown and I find myself sniffing my wrists as often as I can.
The packaging is a work of art, so much so that I’ve endeavored to procure the other 2 Fictions BLINDLY because I MUST have the whole collection. I haven’t even checked the notes—if they are as stellar as this one, they will be worth it.
