Description

This fragrance is indispensible while visiting the city of London if one wants to feel the pulse of this old and contemporary city.

This is a classic floral scent with jasmine in its heart. It opens up with rose and honeysuckle harmonized with a fruity tangerine note. White floral hear note includes jasmine, Tiare Flower and Soft Peony. It leaves a velvety trail of wood and musk. Burberry London was created in 2006 by Dominique Ropion. It’s advertising campaign features actress Rachel Weisz and actor Ioann Gruffud. London was created by Dominique Ropion and Jean-Marc Chaillan.

Grapesoda 40% + rose 40% + honeysuckle 20%. Creamy, wax-y, thick flowery scent (wax-y and thick like Honour Woman Amouage). A perfect fall / winter scent.
Try it and Juicy Couture if you like Grapesoda.

Burberry London is intensely floral. The jasmine and honeysuckle kind of overpowered everything else for me.
When it comes to this fragrance a little goes a long way. I would not want to over spray this one.
I think its okay. Probably not something I will purchase.
EDIT: I ended up having to scrub this off because I got a headache and the smell was not helping. Definitely would not buy a FB.

I am positively surprised by Burberry London. First, the projection is very good, second, it is a very well blended fragrance. I get a sweet jasmine with a shy touch of powder. The jasmine is intensive, but not too sweet or too luminous (nothing against a luminous jasmine, Michael Kors style, i really like them, but this one is different, unique, balanced). It is just right. Elegant and low profile. A fragrance for intelligent, discreet and feminine women.
I am glad to have it in my collection and i really recommend it for white floral lovers. In my opinion, it is very versatile (could be worn in the city and the countryside, at work or in the library or when you go out shopping) and has enough character to be signature material.

I just bought a little bottle of this – Wow! I’m a floral lover and this is a floral to love. It just has that special something. Honey, orange and flowers,… lots and lots of flowers. Lovely. I’ll definitely buy another.

My first experience with a Burberry fragrance leaves me conflicted. I had no preconceptions, but the intense floral notes of Burberry London came as a surprise. So did the longevity – it’s incredible. Only a thorough scrubbing would remove the scent. I tried to drown out the smell by applying another fragrance – no dice. Burberry steamrolls everything in its path.
But is it a good fragrance? That’s what I’m trying to figure out. The scent is floral and a bit soapy. The dry down is a little musky. There’s nothing unpleasant about the fragrance, it’s well made. And still I’m conflicted, somehow I just can’t make up my mind about this scent. So I’ll try wearing it for a while longer, maybe then I’ll know.
I wish some of my favorite perfumes had the sillage and lasting power of LB.

Try this one on a rainy day. Some mysterious powers are at play here – it’s the same perfume, but transforms into something more open and inviting. Magic.

Perfume really is a subjective thing. That is to say, I’ve got it (two bottles of the stuff) that’s how much I like it. I currently own three Burberry frangrances: London, My Burberry and My Burberry black… all three have enormous sillage and staying power. So spray with caution, no more than two sprays per side of neck and one on the nape of the neck is what I do for all-day wear.
London smells of jasmine, but also of something sugary and femenine. I’ve gotten compliments and I believe it’s a fragrance with a timeless quality about it. It isn’t the type of fragrance that will smell dated by any means (some Calvin Kleins smell dated for instance), unless a new olfactive family appears somewhere. One reviewer said it smelled too old-fashioned but I tend to disagree. It’s not aquatic, nor is it gourdmand, hence the “classic” scent. It’s a lovely scent. Along the lines of Diesel’s Red Kiss in terms of how bold it is when it first hits you (Diesel is less traditional-smelling, of course) and also due to its staying power and sillage -but with a timelessness about it. I love it.
In all fairness, and to sum this review up, I have 22 perfumes, not a whole lot, but not few either. I’ve got many YSL, one Guerlain (smells a bit dated, just a bit), Lancome, etc. Yet I always go back to Burberry London (and Parisienne).

Burberry London smells great on paper, but when I sprayed it on me, I felt extremely nauseous and got a headache. It’s overwhelmingly floral & strong.. a perfume that I could taste in the back of my throat. I had to scrub it off and still it clung to my skin like a bad memory. Pass.

I usually find jasmine quite overwhelming in perfumes. It is always either another-bland-floral to me or total wow. This one being the latter.
The opening is fresh and squeaky clean; it is jasmine and honeysuckle. When the scent settles down there is a hint of rose: musky and dusty. The jasmine, present from the very beginning to the very end is crystal clear, straightforward. The company of tiare flower (my favourite) makes it definitely unusual and sensual.
I love the comments. I agree with all of them: sweet feminine flowers with an old-fashioned, smoky, dusty vibe.
It is a good girl listening to Clash songs!

When i smell this it reminds me of the monsoon weather in India and the humidity. The scent of the flowers is what i smell in Burberry London. The way i perceive the scent doesn’t seem to match its name as it reminds me of the heat and tropical climate once it has dried down.
You need to test this properly (allow it to dry down) before deciding to purchase – i found that the scent really changed from start to finish.
It starts with a lovely fizzy blend of jasmine and honeysuckle and i love this bit. Then jasmine is more prominent in the end. Best suited to floral lovers. A very classy scent and strong.
Update: That vibe i find in Lush Sikkhm Girls – which reminds me of humidity and heat.

Pure jasmine and honeysuckle on me, sweet and clean and piercing. I wore it for the first time while wearing a new dress and proctoring a test at a middle school and I think that association will always stay with me… it perfectly matched that stylish-good-girl vibe, straightforward and sophisticated and smart. I think London is such a perfect name for it, and I love its little plaid bottle-scarf. I give this one a “love”, though to be honest, it’s just generally way more fashionable and straight-laced than me on most days. But I like having a vial of it in my drawer… to have on hand for an interview, an observation or assessment at work, a final exam… anytime one has got to be on one’s best behavior, and wants to do so with a little style! 🙂

For some reason everything from Burberry sucks on my skin. Their perfumes are smelling expired or like cat pee, this one is especially gross. Strangely, the other perfumes of same category smell nice, e.g. Pure Poison, Juicy Couture. I have sense Burberry uses cheap ingredients, but my mind refuses to believe it, such a fancy brand and cheap perfumery. On paper London is gorgeous and very floral but on skin it’s another story…

This was a blind buy based on reviews here and notes of jasmine and honeysuckle which I love. But what a disapointment..this smells too much like perfumes from years ago, maybe the 80’s or 90’s. I guess it is too strong with the musk and patchouli notes, and that’s what’s killing it for me. I’m so sad, I was really hopeing for a beautiful fresh honeysuckle scent, fresh jasmine but It didn’t work for me. Now I have a big bottle of this and don’t like it at all. This is INCREDIBLY longlasting too, just 2 sprays and it will last all day. But I sadly don’t enjoy it. Still on the hunt for a longlasting floral fresh scent. For reference, I like Burberry Sheer ( pink bottle) Chance Chanel Eau tendre and fraiche, Daisy from Marc Jacobs. These are all lovely to me but they don’t last as long which is what keeps me on the hunt for a floral fresh long lasting perfume.

This smells very good, however, when I bought it, I felt it smelled similar to something I already own, so I started testing the perfumes more likely to be similar. And I have found it close to Avon – Today on my skin. I don’t know if anyone else noticed the similarities, but I’m a little disappointed by the fact I already have a similar perfume in my collection. I remembered it smelled differently in my local Sephora, maybe it was altered by the store lights and heat.

Most of all I feel rose, orange citruses and patchouli in this fragrance. It’s bright and noticeable. Also I feel a little bit something animalistic. Maybe it’s musk.

  16. :

Smells mainly of jasmine, tangerine & rose to my nose.
I’m slowly starting to appreciate jasmine scents, they smell feminine, fresh, slightly sweet & floral.
I think this may be my second favourite floral scent after Chloe EDP!
This is what a lady should smell like;) very sophisticated & womanly❤️
I’ve had this bottle for over a year, but never used it much up until today.
I appreciate discovering this gem amongst my other perfumes.
Go easy with spraying this though. I feel 4 spritz are enough.
So glad it’s Autumn, smells lovely!
    Longevity: 5-6 hours.
    Update:
Boy oh boy did this out do my shower :

I don’t have many fragrances that out-do my shower, except ‘Chanel’s coco mademoiselle’ & this coming in second. Wowza factor. Lol. ❤️❤️❤️

I really like this perfume. It’s feminine, soft and just absolutely beautiful. It has a nice floral smell to it with some slight muskiness in the background. The longetivity of this fragrance is also great as it lasts up to ten hours on my skin.

This is such an amazing perfume wow very feminine & classy ! This has tought me to love Jasmin b4 I did not really like that note but this has made me see that Jasmin is such a lovely note , I put this on at 9am it’s not 18:00 and I can still easily smell this ! I really love this a favourite in my collection.

  20. :

This perfume is floral sweet. I can sense separate realistic notes, but overall it also seems like build from perfumery chemicals (as vintage or vintage inspired perfumes tend to be). It have vintage-y feel, thou I feel that it can fit in our days. Romantic, warm, bitter, heavy on floral with bit refreshing feel. Mixed white and yellow floral. Can’t really smell any citruses, they are well blended. Usually I say about perfumes that they are soapy, but this rather should be called ‘clean’. It is bit soapy, but in a sophisticated way, like clean skin when washed with expensive soap. Just by smelling this somewhat ‘thick’ perfume it seems like very long lasting. Might not be for everyone since so heavy on floral.
    For everyday-elegant woman 30+.
Not for hot weather, but might just fit London if there is rain most of time.

  21. :

It feels like early in the morning walking in the rain while the rain taps upon your head with shiny clear drops… and makes the grass to glitter plenty of shades, so you want that rain to sing a soothing song for you~

Hmm maybe it’s an odd thing to say but for me at first sniff smells like a barbie doll’s hair lol if this makes any sense but not in an unpleasant way. Maybe that’s why i see it as such a unique smell. After it settles on skin a little bit it smells divine! It’s pure and warm. I’d say the honeysuckle combined with jasmine it’s an exquisite combination, it’s flowery with a pinch of sweetness. I find a very realistic interpretation of a honeysuckle flower, which is rare as a main note in perfumes. It’s one of the very few perfumes that’s messing with my senses, a mood lifter. Works best in fall followed by spring and in rainy days. As a rule for any heavy sillage perfumes i wouldn’t over spray it. It does tend to smell pretty much like hair spray or insecticide if you exaggerate, I’ve experienced that first hand!

  23. :

First sniff was a no for me, but I decided to give it another try. A it was drying down, I started liking it. Was a blind buy and I’m not disappointed. Not really mind kind of fragrance, the one that makes me go wow!! but it’s nice different. It did stay long on my skin, my husband thought I was respraying it. But one spray on my inner elbow and the back of my neck stayed there for hours.

  24. :

    5 out of 5

No surprise this is a classic. The opening is full of jasmine and juicy but not sickly sweet tangerine.
The drydown gets a bit milder, the fruity feeling steps aside to let the rose and peony show off.
To be honest I don’t get a sign of sandalwood but I don’t mind in this one.
Very pleasant floral for summer and spring.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

Whilst the jasmine and honeysuckle note was present at initial spray, it was fleeting, What took over was basically a *Fruitchouli dominant fragrance – a fruity malange, Patchouli, indolic jasmine and the typical generic musky base, which actually turns quite “sour” on my skin. This is headache inducing and definately not to my liking, too synthetic, harsh and strong. P.s: this is not a floral “Jasmine” homeysuckle perfume…at all! If you after that look elsewhere, this is a patchouli fruity musk floral. Try first before blind buy.

  26. :

    5 out of 5

I bought this for my mother but she found it to be too strong and asked if I would like it back to swap around. As a male, I do love florals but usually stick with those found in the masculine market. After trying this beautiful combination of jasmine, honeysuckle and musk on my skin, it will be hard to let it go! Half a spray on the back of each forearm is plenty strong enough without choking out those around me. Comes across as a fresh floral bouquet and slightly soapy. Even if I eventually decide to gift London to one of my friends, I am sure there will be a big decant left in my cabinet for myself.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Flowery sweet, a bit fruity. Such a lovely honeysuckle accompanied by a beautiful jasmine here. I love it. Quite powerful. It’s different. I’ve never been to London, but I get its image every time I come near this scent. Elegant, sophisticated, glamorous. It doesn’t suit everyone. You need to know how to wear it. It’s like clothing…if you don’t feel comfortable in them, it will be noticed.

  28. :

    4 out of 5

I am not sure why, to my nose this smells a tad old-fashioned and overwhelmingly musky. I am a rose and jasmine lover, but those notes are only afterthoughts in Burberry London on my skin. It is like a soapy, body lotion type scent, comforting and the kind that lingers close to my skin a couple of hours but does not project very far. I imagine coming out of an upmarket spa smelling like this. It is a pleasant slightly floral musk, but has not enough ‘wow’ in it for me. I can imagine though, for people with the right skin chemistry it could become their signature scent.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

Burberry London is a lovely fragrance, but it’s a bit overwhelming. On myself all I get is strong honeysuckle (and a horrible headache). If you like heavy florals this one may be for you.

  30. :

    3 out of 5

I love jasmine and this is gorgeous, but just a little bit too much. Sadly, it gives me a headache.
I definitely recommend if you can handle it, it’s super strong.
Edit: I have 2 bottles now.

I can not describe how much I like this perfume. It’s perfect for any season and any age, although I’m not limited to this when it comes to perfumes. Age is just a number.
It’s fresh, sweet, young but not childish. I like to wear it especially in autumn and spring. For me, the honeysuckle and jasmine feel the most, so if you do not like these notes in a fragrance you will not like this.

  32. :

This perfume is unique, it is my favorite of the Burberry house, I can feel a sweet citrus, with some humidity, it really makes me think of a tall woman in a nice English coat on a cold day with some drizzle, with an umbrella, a pair of gloves, and yet, comfortable, happy and very very good smell.

It has been 5 years since I’ve gotten this. Back then it applied sweetly and pleasantly, but as the day wore on, the drydown was far too sour and almost masculine on me. I could only enjoy the hit of heady florals for the first hour or 2, then dread the drydown. It was such a beautiful floral though, that I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of it. So it stayed packed in my closet.
The other day I decided to let London see the light again. I made sure to also test areas where my body produces heat/oils or sweat, because those were areas in which I suffered from that horrible drydown.
Perhaps my chemistry or my nose has changed since leaving my teen years. Perhaps it is the age of the bottle. One spray took me back to wintertime of my final year of high school. Except this time, the fragrance was richer and so much sweeter. I can detect the tangerine or some other fruity note also contributing to its sweetness. I swooned in these florals. It was no longer the simple blast of roses and jasmine I used to get. The drydown as well – oh, how tolerable and mellowed out it has become. Warm, subtly earthy and woody without being like soil. No longer does it make me squinch my nose due to its fumes.
Still paints a picture of winter, rainy days, and classiness. As long as it’s not over-applied, it is absolutely gorgeous, yet never a powerhouse. I was worried I would never get to enjoy this scent like it deserved to be enjoyed, but I lucked out. I’m almost hesitant to put a new bottle of this on my radar, since the age of mine may correlate to effect. I almost don’t want to use up my 5 year-old bottle. But London has also been phased out in most stores, so it won’t be long now before it becomes a rarity. Snap it up while you can, it’s not every day you can come across a garden like this, captured in a charming plaid bottle.

This is what I think of when I hear people use “creamy” to describe perfume. This is so creamy and luscious. I imagine spraying this on a nice wool scarf on a cold rainy day

  35. :

    3 out of 5

Burberry London was a blind buy for me. I’ve been wearing it all day, and once again, Burberry has done a wonderful job! It begins (on my skin) with a cool jasmine/rose over a light, effervescent tangerine. Then, it warms up slightly, with musk and sandalwood. My husband actually complemented this without being asked!
The downside is that, like most of the Burberry’s I’ve tried, only lasts about 3 hours on my skin. On clothes, it lingers softly for hours.
Light, feminine, soft, and beautiful. I only purchased an ounce, but I can see getting a much larger bottle.
Also, I was hesitant because everyone kept mentioning the jasmine and there are a few Alien comparisons. Now, I love Thierry Mugler (Angel is my jam) but I have not been able to wear Alien without getting a little nauseous after a while. I even tried the roller ball, because I love how Alien smells. London absolutely does not cause any adverse reactions with me.

Lovely realistic jasmine on my skin, the best jasmine perfume I have.Long lasting (8/9 hours) with moderate sillage for 4 hours. Exquisite and very well balanced.

  37. :

    5 out of 5

I must say I expected something more extravagant, from the brand (which is kinda luxurious) as well as the name (I mean, London, that is not just another city).
It reminds me of Néroli & Orchidée by L’Occitane en Provence, a white floral scent. Also the mental image of Provence seems to suit this fragrance better.
But all in all, it is not a bad scent. It smells clean, lovely, a bit official, a bit dreamy. I have a mini of the EDP which I will use until it is done, but probably won’t rebuy.

Definitely a comforting smell! it is a Flowery, citrus, sandalwood musky goodness. This Burberry limited edition scent takes me to a rainy afternoon possibly at a park with wooden benches that can imaginably be made out of sandalwood itself, with surroundings of flourishing rose bushes along with Jasmine and honeysuckle trailing gracefully throughout the splendid aroma ridden park! Does Not give me any sort of Headache. To me it is a balancing of both perfect balance combination of Yin & Yang….FEEL I was a Big Big Fan of Alien Back then and i really favor this so it came to me as a surprise this scent is brilliantly composed by the originator of Alien as well, I’ll take this thank you very much

This is one of my favourite perfumes. I’ve gone through multiple bottles of the stuff.
It reminds me of a self-assured girl next door who exudes a reticent sexuality. She doesn’t try; she doesn’t have to. People are drawn to her, despite her unassuming demeanor.
This is a great cool weather scent. It’s perfect on a crisp autumn day, a bracing spring day, a rainy summer day, or a cold winter day. It’s modern yet classic; sophisticated yet unpretentious; floral, warm, mellow, powdery and unabashedly feminine.
You need to be light handed with London, as it has tremendous sillage. And, the scent stays with you for days!

    * These are my personal experiences/thoughts with this fragrance. Yours/others may differ. *
    Initial – jasmine + musk + honeysuckle
    Drydown – jasmine + musk + patchouli
    Duration – 8-9 hours
    Projection – moderate
Experiences – Way too heavy for hot weather. Patchouli note is quite strong on my skin; would like this better without it.
Quick Thoughts – jasmine, floral, strong, feminine

Lovely sweet jasmine, strong and long lasting, probably my best jasmine perfume. One of my faves, strictly for people who love flowers (especially jasmine). It is as sweet jasmine (helped by the sweetness of the tiare and honeysuckle) and has nothing of the indolic “dirty” flower of Alien.Lasts for over 8 hours.

I have had it on my shelf for a few years ,I remember really enjoying it back then..so happy I decided to spray it this morning, it is such a lovely balmy, creamy floral..fresh, feminine and very springlike,,all with a stylish British vibe..I do detect honeysuckle, also the tiare gives it a fresh sunny undertone..very well done..a more creamy vibe..
I like that it isn’t sharp at all, it has a natural sweet/fresh vibe…
One of the best work by Ropion..
I feel it can be worn easily n a breezy summer day…although it has that fall aura…of fog , and clouds, and drizzle..
    Lovely!!

Lovely fall scent! Made me feel like I bathed in milk and honey. It’s very warm but light (compared to other warm scents). A bit strong for hotter months but perfect in a cool breeze.

  48. :

    5 out of 5

Honeysuckle like from the garden is the main note. If you are familiar with honeysuckle it is a strong smelling flower that carries – somewhat sweet smelling. A very pretty classic floral.

  49. :

    3 out of 5

I agree with the reviewer who compared this to Dior Pure Poison; they’re not identical, but belong to the same family of clean, breezy, white floral fragrances. London is a lovely blend of tiare flower, honeysuckle, and a very gentle jasmine. Patchouli and musk add just the barest hint of grounding warmth. Beautiful and understated. Perfect for work or casual outings. London is so deliciously elegant…I only wish it lasted longer on me!

  50. :

This one doesn’t work on me, and I’ve had it on my ‘test’ list for so long! 🙁
The citrus dominated from the start; it quickly overwhelmed the florals and silenced the woodsy notes. Ultimately this conniving citrus erased any evidence that other notes were ever involved. It then smugly and sourly sat on my skin for hours.
No-one else here seems to be sharing this experience, and so I have wistfully read the reviews feeling as if I was out in the cold with my face pressed to the glass, viewing happy Fragranticians enjoying their Burberry London.
Up until today, I thought I was one of the lucky few who could wear just about any scent. What a come-down!!!

It is a pity I live in Brazil, because if not for that I would ask for the London perfume. Such a inebriating perfume, I can become drunk on the jasmine vapors.Burberry perfumes are touch and go with me, peach is an iffy note for me (I generally am anosmic to it) and is in almost every perfume of the house, but London is a favorite. Jasmine as I used to smell it on my aunt’s garden when I was a child.

  52. :

It´s ok. It´s a femine scent of espesially Jasmine.
I now have two Burberry parfumes in my collection. Somehow I can´t see a third one finding it´s way in there. I´m sorry if I offend anyone, but I kinda find the Burberry-brand quite overrated. I probably wont repurchase it, when I used up my 30 ml.

  53. :

I really do not like it. There something that bothering me and can’t identify what is it. Notes alone are OK (except rose which i do not like in perfumes, but it works well in some), but all together it does not works for me. After trying this one, I kind of skip all Burberry perfumes, which is maybe wrong, but when I see some, I recall this scent and just pass 🙁 It smells like it was creates in early 80’s.

Stock up on your favorite Burberry frags while you can! Coty has acquired the Burberry company and we all know what that means…. horribly watered down versions of Burberry perfumes!

  55. :

Classy, feminine and comfortable. The ad is perfect for the scent. Burberry London is the English answer to Chanel’s Allure (not that they smell alike, but they share the same ‘effortless chic’ vibe). London may be more romantic and easygoing. It’s a clean, sweet, cozy white floral. Smooth, and the flowers quite dewy and fresh. The scent cloud is beautiful and enveloping but never overpowering. It’s just so pleasant. I have a friend who wears this one often and she always smells so effortlessly divine. Sillage is great. The honeysuckle is quite prominent amidst the jasmine and tiare, and it is one of my favorite notes, so that makes me very happy. Good for work, play or casual nights. I find this one lasts on me a solid 7 hours. I’d wear this one all year around. The only time I wouldn’t wear this is on very warm days outdoors. I can see the floral notes getting cloying on a hot day. If you like your white florals clean, smooth, feminine (and on the warm side), check this one out.

I remembered to have a long forgotten sample of Burberry London and decided to give it a try
It’s a love at first sniff.I can’t stop sniffing myself.I have juicy couture juicy couture and costume national nude edt both being among similar perfumes so I thought I won’t need this one but wrong!however I can detect similar white floral DNA in these three, there’s enough differences to justify buying this gorgeous which appears to me as my most favorite. It doesn’t have watermelon, caramel of juicy couture or spices of so nude and appears as a less unique but more pleasant, enchanting and easy to wear one among mentioned ones
Burberry London opens with a super gorgeous citrus floral blast.orange and Clementine add a fresh spark to rose, honey suckle bouquet.Florals are sweet, fresh and lively and as a honeysuckle lover,I find it’s combination with orangey citruses to be divine
Unfortunately this adorable citrus a honeysuckle-rose combo doesn’t last long and it starts fading behind a strong Jasmine note(I can also pick up a soft tuberose hand in hand with Jasmine)
In this stage it has more to share with juicy couture and costume national nude.I can’t say it’s bad.I still like it as I all in all like floral scents but I don’t love it.if it’s top notes lasted more or were in it’s middle,I’d borrow money from someone and buy it right now but as it is I’minno hurry to own it
Well it seems that this perfume has still more to offer.I start to like it again in it’s drydown. It’s still Jasmine centered but jasmine lets other flowers to breathe too and also there’s this nice musky woodsy base which make it less plain floral and more appealing to me
My feelings toward Burberry London change as it develops with this pattern:love, meh, like
I think it’s going to have great longevity as most white florals tend to stay on me for a whole day
It’s feminine, classy, classic a must try for floral lovers but I’ve not decided on buying it or not yet

I like all the notes listed but this doesn’t work for me, at all. All I get is an incredibly sharp, artificial white flower note. It smells vaguely of plastic and it is distinctly not real. I was hoping for a cheap easy white floral but this doesn’t work for my skin or nose.
It is rather thin and light which is it’s saving grace and has already faded a bit in the 20 minutes or so I’ve had it on.

I had remembered testing this when I was first getting into perfume and not caring for it, but I got sent a sample by a sweet frangrancia member and wasn’t sure this was the same Burberry so I deciced to give it a try.
This is one of those designer scents that generally reads at too much and “perfumey” to me. There is a particular blending style that made me think I didn’t like perfume when I was younger and this one is definitely one of those. This is to say that I am bias here and many people love this style of scent.
I find the notes list really lacking. When I first sprayed it there was a lovely warm spice that was really intriguing. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to identify any specifics because the florals came quickly after. I definately smell some jasmine and a lovely honeysuckle. There are softer florals that could be peony. I don’t get much rose at all. It also does have a soapy quality on my skin that makes me think there’s also lily of the valley or iris in the mix. I definately get musk — this is one of those musks that’s a little cloying on me. I’m also starting to pick up something herbal in the drydown. I’m going to guess either rosemary or a very small amount of mint or camphor, just enough to give it that herbal tingle.

I really do love this one. It does remind me of the powerhouse fragrances of the 1980’s-90’s and not in a bad way. It’s sweet yet complex, serious yet sexy. Very feminine for a woman who is confident and comfortable with herself. Great lasting power, a little does a lot, leaves a seductive trail. Very classic I think. Not for little girls, you need to be grown.

A beautiful rainy day scent. I think it really blooms when the humidity is high (but not when it’s very hot). Grapey, flowery. I can see how it would smell good in rainy city like London, but I don’t picture a city when I smell this. Rather, I think of the countryside. Reminds me of spring coming into bloom. 🙂

I’m a perfectionist. I was afraid the material wrapping this bottle would be crooked. I only could blind buy this, and just wasn’t going to take the chance.
Up to date, I LOVE Burberry. I found a bottle of this at TJ Maxx and just took the chance(You can return if need be). The material is perfect…it just isn’t glued on good. The material moves. It needs to be glued evenly so there is no movement. But that’s just me!
The scent, that’s the MOST important part. It’s a very nice scent. It’s not as ground breaking as most reviews made me believe. There’s certainly NOTHING wrong with this. I’m glad to have it! But it’s not a complete love like all the others I have. It would be great for a blind buy, gift giving, and as a signature scent.
For myself…and I just hate to say this, I would choose Juicy Couture over this. I can totally see just as many people choosing this. It’s just my own personal preference. Not by a LOT though. I find it’s just not as appealing because it’s not as sweet. Juicy Couture appears to me as bright, sunny, cheerful. London is a bit more serious, not at all gay, a bit dreary perhaps. Which IS by the way, what makes so many LOVE it. I get that! I agree! I just don’t
