Imagine the generic canned fruit cocktail in syrup (with diced pear, cherry, peach and green grapes in it. You know the one), with a bit of punchy effervescence. Yep, that’s it! Bubbly, sparkly fruit cocktail. It is indeed very similar to Paris Hilton’s debut fragrance, however that one lacks the fizzy quality, is more floral & even a bit sour on me (green apple?)
With all that said, this is no masterpiece. It’s been done a thousand times. I’ll always love this scent for nostalgic reasons, you can even enjoy decent sillage and longevity for a fruity floral. Happy little scent 🙂

I can’t recall in detail my impression of the notes, I only remember that I thought it was a pleasant fragrance. Finally finished my 100ml bottle of this and I am actually glad it is gone. Whilst this fragrance is very unoffensive being that it is a predominantly a fruity scent, not at all soapy or musky. It is boring after a while, it is very 1 dimensional and I did resort to using mine at the gym as it is too safe and plain and lacklustre to really wear anywhere else. Not bad, it is a fruity fragrance, but it is just too 1 dimensional for me, I would not repurchase. The bottle was beautiful though, I did consider keeping the empty bottle, but hoarding is not good for the mind.

There is something so warm and comforting about this fragrance. I usually only wear it around the house because I find it soothing after a stressful day. It opens very tropical and sweet but dries down to a warm amber and musk that reminds me of Beyonce’s Heat but without the acrid, cheap peach note. There is peach in this too but only in the beginning.
The bottle is so pretty as well, I love the round red cap and the bright colors of the body.

I got this perfume in 2009 and I bought it mainly because of the beautiful vintage looking bottle. I couldn’t stand the scent. It’s just tooooo sweet. To me it smells like pineapple and mango. I remember, I was in Disneyland Paris and the bee wouldn’t stop chasing me and I believe it was because of the smell of this perfume on my skin, the smell of Pineapples and Mango… Too sweet.

I have had sooooo many high priced, top shelf perfumes throughout the years and this is by far my favorite (and at such a cheap price). Scent notes that stand out most to me are fruity and sweet. This is a playful, flirty, sexy, attention-grabbing perfume. I do not pick up on much pear, if any at all. The mixture of peach, melon and aquatic, gives Live Luxe a pink grapefruit scent… The amber settles in amazingly underneath the above notes to give off a warm, milky sweetness instead of a cotton candy sweet. I will never tire of this one. Long-lasting, draws compliments, heavy sillage. This is not an office scent, but meant for a late night out on the town. Amazing. <3

Dry down is a totally different animal. Amber, Sandalwood and Vanilla. I wish those fruity notes would stay, they are what make this perfume so special.

With notes of melon, peach and pear I was afraid this was going to be just a generic fruity floral on my skin. The first 2 hours were exactly that…but the drydown is a sweet fruity ambery vanilla scent and is VERY delicious. It was not QUITE a keeper for me, but it was not an unpleasant experience. I love the gorgeous bottle, but after the gorgeous drydown this just faded into nondescript nothingness on my skin. Possibly just not for me!

Today I bought some juice to drink, and as soon as I opened the bottle, I got an image of this perfume in front of my eyes. Don’t know the band, but it was orange + passion fruit. It smells almost the same and I was surprised to see Luxe doesn’t have those notes. I can definitelly smell passion fruit in Luxe.

I thought I would love this based on the notes, I was expecting something sweet and juicy, but this isn’t exactly that. Id say it’s more airy and dry. It is very fruity and bright, but I only find it to be just ok. I do like that at the end of the day it leaves a very pretty sandalwood scent on the skin.
It is very long lasting and is somewhat strong. You can find it for pretty cheap on Amazon too. I don’t see myself repurchasing this one though.

This one has a special place in my heart,it was the last perfume my grandma gave me in 2006 for Christmas before she passed away a few months later.
The notes I pick up are melon,lots of peach mixed with hints of pear and pineapple wich I know is not listed but I smell it!! Just a great fruity scent for spring/summer days!
This perfume lasts easily 6plus hours on me & sillage is moderate the 1st few hours.

This is the first spin off from Jlo’s ‘Live’ fragrance. The Box for this is very pretty and sparkly. The bottle is very pretty and eye catching. I agree with other people that say it looks like a harry potter potion bottle. Apart from that it looks great !! This smells amazing. I love melon in any perfume. This lasts an average of 6 hours on my skin. Great scent and great packaging. Keep them coming Jlo. This gets a 7.5/10 from me xo

Okay, so I read on here this stuff smells just like Escada’s Rockin’ Rio, which I have. Unfortunately you gotta pay money to Rock in Rio. The Escada fragrance ain’t cheap (well… not too expensive either, relatively speaking… You can get a 3.4 ounce Escada variation for about 40 bucks…). I found this online for about 14 bucks, shipping included (a 3.4 ounce EDP!). So I ordered it.
What can I say? It’s just like Rockin’ Rio. I actually sprayed Rio on one arm and Luxe on the other and I can’t distinguish them. The only difference, and it is minor, is that Live Luxe’s dry down is a tad (just a tad) more chemically than Rockin’ Rio’s.
I’m not into blind buying and generally advise against doing so, but Live Luxe is one of the few exceptions, especially if you like strong tropical fruity affairs (if you’re into Escada fragrances, you can’t go wrong with this. Get it).
A few thoughts:
-This is in no way an endorsement of J.Lo’s other scents! Most of her crap I don’t like. Especially that tacky China Rain dupe “Glow”.
-In general Jennifer Lopez gets on my nerves. But I digress…
-Live Luxe (like Rockin’ Rio) is Miami summertime fun in a bottle. It’s great for casual no-strings dating. (If you really like the guy and are thinking about marraige, leave Live Luxe on the shelf and try, say, Nina Ricci’s “L’Air du Temps” or something comparable).
-In that same vein, if you’re looking to project complexity in the romantic arena, look into the Chanel or Guerlain fragrances (they’re expensive, but you gotta pay to play). Live Luxe is girlish fun indulgence, not nuptuals.
-Can dudes rock this… Only if you are one of those guys who doesn’t give a rat’s behind about what people think. But if you’re worried about smelling girly and you can’t abide that, then nah. This ain’t for you. If you are a guy into fun fruities who fits into the “I GOTTA SMELL LIKE A MANLY MAN” category, might I suggest Fahrenheit or, more affordably, Claibourne’s Mambo for men? Neither of them are straight up fruities (there’s really no such thing as a straight up MANLY fruity… at least not one that I’ve smelled) but they’re fruit-ish enough to appease that need.
-Good, good gift for a teenage girl. She’ll love it.
-Good inexpensive gift for a coworker. The box and bottle are really pretty.
-Pairs really well with Coppertone suntan lotion. The combination is wonderful.
-Decent for the workplace but not a corporate setting.

Bought gift set at Marshals for 19.99. Melon, pear, peach, freesia– that order with a decent balance. I don’t get pineapple or tropical that others have mentioned. For the price of the bottle and shower gel, I am quite pleased. Easy scent for a teenager too, which I’m far from, but this is upbeat and fresh for a casual day. I enjoy it when I’m in the mood.
I love honeydew candles, and it reminds me of that.
Moderate longevity and silage but both slightly amped with shower gel.
Ps.one day I layered with fracas,and it might sound bizarre, but it was just what I needed on a cold Michigan winter day and quite interesting. Bet I’ll do it again as we have a long way to go till spring.
The bottle is pretty and fun too.

I actually really love this perfume. I purchased this one first then I bought Live. This one I would say last a little bit longer than live and its more bold. Luxe lasted about 6 to 7 hours on me. I’m usually don’t buy fruity perfumes but this one is really lovely.

It’s a fruity-musky fragrance, sweetness is not too cloying, which is good and works well, when it’s hot.
It has a heavy sillage for a couple of hours and then settles, take that into consideration – I actually oversprayed it once, as I expected light fruity mist…

I don’t own the perfume, but I’ve had the shower gel and lotion at different times. Love it, and I’m considering buying the perfume. It’s fruity-sweet, luscious and full, and dominated by melon, peach and pear. The melon fades a bit after the first half hour, and then it’s more peach than pear to my nose. But note that my review is based entirely on the lotion, so the perfume might do something altogether different.
I like this over Miami Glow. A few hours of Miami Glow and I feel like washing it off (though I love it too and think it’s a class apart, just can’t take too much). I think it’s the coconut in MG that puts me off after a point, and that isn’t the case with LL.
I haven’t tried Rockin’ Rio, so I can’t say if they smell similar, but Live Luxe does have the character of an Escada (Island Kiss, Sexy Graffiti – doesn’t smell similar to either though), to the extent that I can tell from using the lotion.
A little note about the lotion – it’s a shimmer lotion, but the glitter particles are quite large and obvious. Wish they’d been more subtle 😀 still, it’s a fun scent, so I’ll just have to save it for when I want to glitter!
I would recommend this for someone who wants a rich fruity fragrance.

I like this perfume – it is such a sweet, fruity mix of pear, peach and melon. The flowers are faintly discernible, lily of the valley do not feel, maybe a little freesia. The finish is a little bit of vanilla with a hint of amber, musk and sandalwood. I would not say that it is cheap smell! It’s different than all the smells but not long-lasting – up to 3 hours. Nice bottle, a little in the style of RPG potions.

It’s still a few days till spring but I need a lift so I wore this today.It’s really a lively,beautiful fragrance.It is sweet but not a candy sweet.

The first thing that comes to mind when describing this fragrance is DELICIOUS! Carries me away to a tropical island paradise. I’ve received so many compliments with this perfume. My bottle is almost empty now but will definitely re-purchase! Forgot to mention that it is surprisingly long-lasting on my skin. Jlo did well well this one (:

Really delicious! Sweet and at the same time fresh! The melon is prominent among the notes. It seduces you and it makes you want to drink it! If it wasn’t a perfume, it would be certainly a liquer!!

I remember when I picked up Live Luxe a few years ago, I was drawn to the pretty bottle first, and the fact it was cheap. It smelled like a fruit cocktail. As a floral-fruity fan, it was a score on all three counts! It was winter time, and the fruitiness was a great pick me up; good longevity, not overpowering.
Funnily enough, this was never a ‘go-to’ perfume in my collection. It sat mostly ignored amongst all my other floral-fruities, until I was cataloguing my collection recently. I pulled it out and sprayed it on. Minutes later, I was in the bathroom scrubbing it off…
I’m guessing the summertime humidity affected this fragrance badly. It was lovely in the winter, but the heat had made it cloying and offensive, like a cheap body spray. I’ll have to give it another go in the winter.
Keep in mind though, this is just my experience with it. In other climates, it might smell perfectly fine in the summertime.

This was given to me, but it’s not my kind of scent. I like clearer and less loud scents. This one reminds me of the dance floor or center of attention. Like a leonine perfume. Totally not me. I won’t wear it no more. Perfume is very individual.. I guess it’s a miss this time round..

I absolutely LOVE this perfume. It is beautiful and very long lasting on me. You should def give it a shot because it is worth at least a try. I am ordering another bottle right now online.

I’m not normally a fan of this type of fruity-florals but sometimes in the summer I get in that kind of mood. This is sweet (but not too sweet) and very youthful and feminine. It’s like a long-lasting version of one of the Escada summer fragrances. I’m not an expert on fragrances but I think what makes this one nicer than the average in this category is that it’s more grounded with the warmer base notes than many others. Well done.

I love this fragrance but I fin myself re applying it during that day. I think I only love it for the top notes. Even without re applying it lasts a long time and its a nice fruity scent. The bottle is absolutely gorgeous too. it matches the scent perfectly and the box that the bottle comes in is very pretty.

This perfume is okay, I receive it as a gift. To be honestly, I really don’t like it. I think I’ve only worn it once. I’m 22, I think it suited for more older women and I prefer more sweet scents and less fruit scents. It has the potential for me to like it but there is like an aquatic smell to it which I absolutely hate but my mum loves it.

For me it smells a lot like mango.. It’s too sweet. I had a bad experience wearing this perfume. Bees kept on chasing me , none among my family was chased except me. I guess it’s the sweet scent of fruit they smelled on me. It’s too sickening. I don’t like sweet scents on my skin..it’s tiring and overpowering.

A mix of fruit, a fruit salad, which is even difficult sometimes to decipher your notes, so there is a note of pineapple … Definitely not match the winter, it is very informal, to be worn on a hot, sunny day …

This was given as a gift and initially I was unimpressed with the obvious fruity scent. However I decided to persevere and I wore it on on holiday. It now remindes me of those glorious sunny days. I would definitley recommend it as a summer/holiday scent. The perfume also works as a quick pick me up scent if you’re feeling fatigued and want to feel refreshed. I’m glad that I gave it a second chance!

This scent is juicy in its essence. I think it’s the amber or sandalwood that gives an, in my opinion, strange drydown. It reminds me of chocolate with peach/pineapple filling – not entirely bad, but definitely odd in my taste.

This is such a good fragrance!!! Its soo fruity which might not be everyones thing but then the freshness/wateriness helps with tonning that down!! lastly theres a beautiful hint of sweetness from maybe a sweeter tropical fruit! Very nice fragrance and not too stong!!

Too fruity for me, and after wearing it awhile it turns into something more bitter. Gave it away to my teen-age daughter who loves it. A nice fragrance for youth I think.
