Description
Guerlain presents new limited edition fragrances for Les Quatres Saisons collection. The new addition to the collection includes four scented “poems” in bottles, inspred by and named after the four seasons: Le Printemps, L’Été, L’Automne and L’Hiver. The fragrances are developed by Thierry Wasser, bottled in the signature Baccarat “quadrilobe” flacons decorated by designer Janaïna Milheiro.
L’Été evokes a sunny summer day with citruses, flowers and fruity aromas. The top notes of lemon and bergamot form an introduction to the sweet and warm heart of peach and jasmine, all laid on a base of hay, carnation and vanilla.
Each of the perfume is available in a 500 ml bottle in only 21 copies. L’Été was launched in 2016.

So, reading the comments below, is this frag bad because it is too expensive ? For sure, I’d need to win the 1st price in the national lottery to be able to buy half a liter of l’Eté for 16k€, but this shouldn’t interfere with the objectivity of a review … I’ve seen quite a few people buying several Vuitton croco bags for twice the price of this frag each, just across the Avenue des Champs Elysees, but would the previous reviewers say that Vuitton croco bags are rubbish only because they are expensive?
This is not a thorough review and it should not be taken too seriously, as after testing all 4 seasons frags at Guerlain’s flagship Champs Elysees store, the nice SA perfumed me very largely and all over with my preferred one, l’Ete, 10 hours ago, so at least I can give a small hint to the readers here of what this frag is like (I usually don’t write reviews on frags I don’t have in full bottles, but given the price, here we have a “force majeure” )
L’Eté opens with a kind of special citrus blast, not at all of the AdP Cologne sort, but somewhat overweighted with very heavy but nevertheless silky green notes which must be hay. These notes last for 1-2 hours before the discrete peach and the floral notes really join the game, amplified by vanilla but still modulated by the greens (hay). The global effect is quite astounding and original, not only regarding duration (the scent is still present after 10 hours, including Metro, TGV train, wind, heat, let’s say not the best conditions for wearing any frag) but due to the feeling of carrying the summer’s sun & nice weather around, whatever may happen.
This is a great and very original frag – I’d obviously prefer owning it rather than having just a nice try, but unfortunately this is not possible. Still, I’d like to know where Thierry Wasser buys his hay, so I could put some of it under my bed 🙂

Where is My Exclusive Collection? There’s an urgent need for a different kind of Guerlain.

Can ANY perfume actually be worth this much no matter the scent? No
