I wanted to love this but similarly to Thierry Mugler’s Angel the heavy floral/cocoa/chypre combo makes my head spin. I gave it to my mom who enjoys spicier scents. Lighter fragrances work better with my body chemistry anyway.

These small solid perfumes are amazing. The smell doesn’t last but I purchased it to use it sometimes on my wrists during day. It’s perfect when you live in big towns with strange smells (pollution…) : Crazylibellules and the Poppies smells are clean.
I liked Josephine Jonquille because of chocolate and Tiare flowers : sweet and exotic.

Crazylibellule and the Poppies has some truly creative compositions, and Les garçonnes JOSEPHINE JONQUILLE is one of them, featuring cocoa, tiare, jonquil, jasmine, and ginger… Believe it or not, this smells fantastic! The cocoa note is not sweet but more like freshly roasted and ground cocoa beans. The ginger, too, is not the crystallized sugar encrusted kind but closer to very fresh powdered ginger. The floral notes mingle gorgeously with the aromatics to produce an enticing perfume experience.
JOSEPHINE JONQUILLE is a part of the series from this house which has a less waxy, slightly more malleable texture. I have discovered since the last time that I donned one of these solid perfumes that they have GREAT staying power-—not so much on skin (although the longevity is not bad at all) as on my cat’s fur! He smelled like a dream all day long because I had held him after applying JEANNE VOYAGE and he must have been snuggling the top of his head on my neck or my wrists, because he was one seriously gorgeous perfumed cat! I’ll have to do that again… I used to think that my cat smelled like roses, but come to think of it, he may always smell like what I wore the previous day. (-:
I really love the scent of JOSEPHINE JONQUILLE and would be happy to order a replacement once my 5gm stick is gone. I only hope that this line has not been discontinued…
