I snagged a half ounce of the parfum from an online auction at a bargain price and I am delighted. So warm, grounded, sensual. Lavender and musk are the primary notes. I will be enjoying this lovely concoction this winter.

Jersey is fresh, grounding, and lovely. I had gone through 20ml of the EDT and when a chance came up to buy the Parfum , I jumped at it. Summer 2015 has been the year I finally began to explore Lavender. This is my favorite. The others I like are Vero Parfumo’s Kiki, Serge Luten’s Encens and Lavande, Rania J Lavande 44. Each one is different, the Jersey is beautiful and I don’t have problems with longevity.

Beautifully blended. Many times, I can pick out individual notes in fragrances, but with Jersey, all I can pick out is Lavender with a touch of white floral, and then what I can only describe as quintessential Chanel elegance and warmth. Just lovely. One of my all time favorite lavenders when I’m in the mood for comfort and sophistication all at once.

If you love floral scents, you would easily warm up to this. This is a sweet floral. Lavender is noticeable but not overpowering. The vanilla and the other notes give it a good balance. A little goes a long way. This is very feminine and more of a daytime wear. Please note, I tested this on a card, It might be better on the skin.

Jersey pure parfum is a truly beautiful fragrance. It opens with a soft lavender, light and airy with just a tinge of sweetness to balance the green notes that also dominate the topnotes. Many lavenders are harsh and bitter. Not this one. It is lovely and very floral smelling and blends beautifully with the rose and jasmine to soften the green notes. I do not detect the jasmine as a separate note, but jasmine’s softness is there in this lovely perfume.
The vanilla and tonka are outstanding, light and ethereal, not too deep or overwhelming. The overall impression of Jersey is beautiful womanly soft sophistication. It has the “expensive” smell of Chanel as well. I love this fragrance and could absolutely bathe in it. The only problem with it is that the longevity is not great, even with the pure parfum. On my skin, the perfume had reasonable sillage until about 1:00 p.m. I put it on at 8:00 a.m in the morning, so about 5 hours. After that it goes quickly to a skin scent and by 2:30 p.m. I could smell nothing at all on my skin. This is such a stunning fragrance, however, that I will gladly take a decant to re-apply during the day. Also, I would much rather re-apply than have the scent ruined by too much musk.

Me and a Chanel??? Oh the scandal! I’m usually a Guerlain girl, so when I started my hunt for a lavender-based perfume, I went straight for Jicky. Sadly it wasn’t for me. Too lemony, too sharp, too unisex. In Jersey it works perfectly, probably because the lavender is not as sharp as most. This is a warm and sensual scent that could be worn in any season. The lavender keeps it fresh and springish, but there’s an intimate warming feel to it that would also make it right at home in front of a fireplace on a cold night. This would make an amazing signature scent for a woman of any age, except that it’s $200 a bottle!!! This is one I’ll have to hold off purchasing, so I’ll definitely be making my sample last. Not a fan of most Chanels, but this one is worth a try if you like unusual lavenders. Bonus: it’s soothing, yet professional enough to wear to work.

This is a review of the pure parfum which was originally posted under the EDT section on 2/22/14 since this page hadn’t been added yet.
Jersey is unlike any lavender-centric perfume I’ve ever smelled. The woman at the Chanel counter informed me that its a different strain of French lavender than you typically find in perfumes and I have to agree. There is nothing masculine about this. It opens herbal and grassy and then dries down to a sweeter, muskier scent that is in the same general olfactory neighborhood as bubblegum (of all things!). It is quite comfortable to wear and very enjoyable, but ultimately not really me. Definitely test before buy, its lovely but I wouldn’t have been able to guess it would smell like it does based on the notes listed here.
