Parfums Berdoues BAL DE CLOCHETTES is just as green as it is floral, and there seems to my nose to be just as much jasmine as there is lily of the valley. I myself do not detect much in the way of aldehydes here, and if I were to classify this perfume, I’d call it a floral green.
Like the other members of the series Les Contes Bucoliques, BAL DE CLOCHETTES is a relatively simple perfume, perfect for springtime and fairly fresh smelling. This particular member of the series is not as watery as the others I’ve tried–compared to those eaux, this seems pretty dry–but it is nice in its own way, provided that one likes one’s lily of the valley on the green side. And I do!

(This review is for Eau de Toilette)
The tender lily of the valleys, fragrant jasmine and gentle aldehydes are dancing together in this lovely spring fragrance. The composition starts with the fresh and green wave of lily of the valley with very light and airy aldehydes. The fragrance transforms into floral composition of jasmine and lily of the valley in the heart notes. As time progresses, the scent becomes softer with predominantly lily of the valley with very light musk. It stays this way for hours.
I love aldehydes in this fragrance. They are fresh, very light and pleasant. The fragrance is quite strong white floral bouquet but the aldehydes bring a nice soft touch to the composition. The name suggests that the fragrance is dedicated to lily of the valley but in addition to lily of the valley I also get a strong jasmine presence. I would not call this fragrance overly complex but I find the composition lovely and perfect for the spring. The sillage is strong and the longevity is good.
