Description
The first fragrance from the Lebanese haute couture designer is simply called Le Parfum. After 279 trial versions, an ultra-feminine, flowery-woody composition has been selected, signed by perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. The perfume opens with notes of orange blossom. Jasmine is in the heart, including both Grandiflorum and Sambac, whereas the base consists of cedar, patchouli and rose honey accord.
The simple glass bottle of Baroque style was designed by Syvie de France. The campaign features the famous model Anja Rubik. Le Parfum is available as 30, 50 and 90 ml Eau de Parfum with an accompanying collection that includes perfumed deodorant, body lotion, body cream and shower gel.
Le Parfum was launched in 2011.

Oh my, ohhhhhh my….
This, this right here is a big SURPRISE! When I say big surprise, up on first spray it smells some what lemon-ish I guess that’s the African orange flower, the citrus, jasmine & honey is what makes this perfume special. As it dries down the patchouli comes out, I was shopping today, and decided to sample this, since I’ve had it on my WANT list for a while now. The sales person was going to spray it on a test strip, but I was like “Ah-ah-ah, I’ll sample it on my skin instead” she smiled. I got 2 good sprays, went about and continued my shopping, with mum of course. Sometimes she mixes perfumes and I actually don’t like it. We were looking at shoes, and I kept thinking it was her perfume my nose was picking up, but I knew she didn’t have anything like it in her collection..
I completely forgot that it was ELIE SAAB! It is so damn GOOD!
I was continuously smelling my wrist every few minutes. Did I end up buying it ? No.
Only because I had spent heaps of cash on shopping. I promised I’d purchase it another time. And I definitely WILL.
The sillage was good for 3 hours. & I got decent longevity out of it.
Can’t wait to have this baby in my collection. ❤️

Get past the first spritz, I promise, it’s worth it!!! I’ve got to give this one a good 20 minutes in my skin. The opening isn’t great, it’s actually kind of bad… but after it settles, it’s really beautiful! It’s a fresh, classy orange blossom and it’s fantastic! I don’t usually care for orange blossom, but it’s really well done in this scent.

I not only greatly love this matchless LE PARFUM EDT on my new girlfriend’s wonderful skin ,but I truly worship its smell coming from her! Le PARFUM of Elie Saab is one of the loveliest, the most amazingly mood-uplifting fragrances ,which can be smelled on a woman’s body or clothes ! I cannot get enough of the times when my dearest one is coming towards me and smelling so unspeakably bewitchingly of ‘Le Parfum’ !!! ‘The matchless smell of ‘Le Parfum” coming from a woman’s ,utterly clean body and clothes can bestow upon every man a sheer bliss,a highest gladness ,a blissful happiness even through the most everday’s days !
edos-77 – :
I get a lot of orange flower, with a tiny hint of warm honey. This is way too orange-flowery for me, but I have to admit it’s a well-done fragrance. Floral, feminine and strong. This easily lasts the whole day with a heavy sillage.
MargaretAnderson – :
I really wanted to like this one. Based on the notes, I thought it would be an instant love. But on my skin, it’s very sharp. It’s almost medicinal smelling, or masculine. It actually reminds me of a man’s aftershave on my skin. It’s strong, I’ll give it that. Disappointing, but I can easily see how so many others love it. It’s not cookie cutter, sickly sweet, or boring like so many other releases these days. You gotta give Elie Saab and Francis Kurkdjian credit for that. I have tried and personally much prefer the Intense version though, so I’ll stick with that one.
valiullv – :
A wonderfully grown-up scent! I think I’ve found my perfect “I’m almost a 30-something” power scent. This opens with what I swear is a honeysuckle flower note, followed by a “perfumey” accord that features sharp honey at the top, flanked by white flowers and a touch of patchouli (not much; just enough to add depth…kind of like bay leaf in cooking). The honeysuckle fades, and then the honey, and lastly the white flowers. The drydown is still nice, but this does sit close to skin and only projects during the first hour or so. It reminds me of Nicole Miller (similar honey note), but is definitely the more refined, sophisticated, upscale, chic version of a honey fragrance.
provizzzzor – :
I really love it! It has lovely opening notes, the bright orange blossom is so feminine and uplifting, and it stays lovely with the jasmine and the sweetness of rose honey added until it softens smoothly into a warm honeyed floral woody drydown. Beautiful and long-lasting scent in a gorgeous jewel-like bottle!
diabbankeviveujb – :
Very sophisticated and classy. Understated, but firm. Feminine and a bit distanced.
Lelik2040 – :
Very beautiful, very bridal. Amazing sillage and longevity. Worth every cent, the only word I can think of to describe this is intoxicating (in the best way possible).
HarrietPer80 – :
Le Parfum a big fragrance. It can be elegant but it’s not overly complex. It is very feminine, and has a warm, fleshy sensuality at its heart, which I love. I agree that it’s easiest to wear in cooler months.
In recent years I’ve developed an appreciation for orange blossom and neroli scents, and this one is at the top of my list along with Juliette Has A Gun’s Gentlewoman.
kmin – :
I deleted my review lower since it was positive but not enough to illustrate this beauty. It’s so gorgeous. Nectary sweet intoxicating blooming white flowers nuclear bomb! Romantic and feminine to the max. Very opulent. I can see myself wearing this in a warm late spring day with a white cotton flowing long sundress. It’s very springy and warm but so opulent that it could work well for winter, too. Very qualitative for sure, it’s strong, long lasting and good projection, stands out from a vast ocean of watered down perfumes. It’s in the top positions on my want list.
ionigickend – :
I found this on sale a few days ago and looking at the note breakdown I decided to give it a go, so I pulled the trigger for a blind buy again… and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a beautiful orange flower / jasmine combo with a hint of sweetness from the honey. Reminds me a little bit of Classique Essence de Parfum but much lighter and more pleasant to my nose. Beautiful scent.
Jony – :
This is incredible on my skin, why have I never sampled Le Parfum before? Received a hefty decant in a decant-swap (thank you, Marie!) and it starts out a decadently sweet, honeyed orange-blossom jasmine nectar that dries down to an AMAZINGLY rich mouth-watering dark honeyed floral elixir. I must have a full bottle soon!
tixkol – :
One of my current absolute favourites. Not too sweet or precious, elegant.
gloating – :
Love, love, LOVE it!
Orange blossom is one of my favourite scents and it’s absolutely beautiful in this. It’s very elegant, floral and feminine, but the patchouli and woody notes underneath add a sensual warmth which prevents it from being too “girly” for me.
I tested it on the store the other day and it was immediate love, like I’d found THE ONE. All the way home on the train I got waves of this gorgeous orange blossom and honey scent. It really seems to work on me and just suits me somehow.
This could easily become a signature scent, though I’m tempted to try the intense version too as I see some people rate it more highly.
Love Elie Saab! I will be wearing this A LOT from now on.
Rusik_00 – :
This is my no.2 signature scent after Le Parfum Intense version. Love it but i love the intense version more. Same DNA but le parfum is jasmine dominant, lighter, a bit fruity and fresher. A sweet orangy-jasmine to my nose. Perfect creation for honey based scent. You got this floral, fruity and sweet combo. I love honey rather than vanilla actually. Compare to intense version the sillage and projection are lower but still great. Definitely one of memorable scent for me. Le parfum is noticeable with a pleasant jasmine scent and last upto 12hrs, depends on skin condition and weather. Sometimes i got 6-8hrs of performance sometimes 12hrs with 1 spray on every application during cooler weather. So its a WOW to me. On a hotter weather youre gonna need 2-3 sprays.
s1a8k0 – :
Last spring I got a 1.5ml tester and adored the honeyed warmth with a touch of orange blossom. It’s uncomplicated and beautifully blended; somehow melts into the skin, which is usually the effect I get from musk so I’m surprised that isn’t listed in the notes.
I then bought a 10ml and the unfussy femininity of the bottle and the juice inside made me swoon, even though it’s a departure from the woody, citrusy and vanilla unisex scents I usually prefer. It’s like a soft white version of L’instant de Guerlain which I picture as a cool purple – the honey note links them but L’instant is more powdery and with a sweetness that sometimes hits the back of the throat (although I love it in winter). Le Parfum makes me think of warm Italian nights surrounded by beautiful people, but it’s not overly sophisticated, more like dinner in a vineyard than a night out in Milan.
Cue the hottest summer on record in the UK, and Le Parfum was suddenly much too much! I tried it a couple of times in the 30+ degree weather and found it cloyingly sweet; the honey predominated and all the soft white floral elements disappeared.
Now the weather has turned again. I put Penhaligon’s Juniper Sling (splash tester) on my wrists, and about 1.5 hours later, with nothing left of JS but a whisper of freshness, I decided to revisit my former love. Lo and behold, layering it on top of a hint of cypress and citrus (not to mention the cooler weather) has magically reignited my passion for Le Parfum! The orange blossom is back, the honey is softened, and a lovely nuttiness has emerged.
An unexpected pairing success, which makes me think I need to experiment more with layering!

To start with, let’s say I am not a fan of the average “pink juice sweet sophisticated patchouli florals” perfumes that seems to be best sellers these days like La vie est belle, Flowerbomb, and even Mademoiselle that to my nose are becoming generic and boring… Maybe it’s because of the pink juice or the look of the bottle but I was expecting something similar with Elie Saab and jeeez was I wrong!!! It is sooo goood!! And unique!! Never smelled something quite like this, even though the notes listed are notes you can find in almost every generic perfume out there, this blend is just heavenly made! Never thought I would love an Orange flower-jasmine-patchouli perfume so much and here I am writing this review and I cannot stop snifing my wrist! It’s a winner!
irishkaff – :
I just got Le Parfum, just a few days after going crazy about Intense version. I figured, if Intense is so freaking good, this must be better, and in all that love fest i was having with LPI, i forgot how insanely i hate jasmine!
So I just received full bottle of Le Parfum, and even though it’s pretty, i somehow wish i got additional bottle of Le Parfum Intense. They are in no shape or form identical, not even alike. Jasmine is very prominent in Le Parfum, overpowering even. It’s very hot and humid here in the desert, and jasmine is last thing on my mind. I stopped speaking to Alien for this same reason, after spraying it one hot, humid afternoon before going out, couple summers ago.
Le Parfum is way prettier than Alien though, i didn’t feel like i am about suffocate, but orange blossom managed to break thru only after couple hours and after i took long, cold shower (seriously, just like Alien, you can’t wash this stuff away!)
It’s very feminine, very flowery, but might be better worn in colder weather.I wish Intense version had the longevity of Le parfum 🙁 But, yeah, they are not dupes of each other, two completely different perfumes. To sum it up, if you are into jasmine with a hint of orange blossom, Le parfum is for you. Other way around? Stick with Le Parfum Intense.
Leseledge – :
It’s a warm embrace with a huge bouquet of flowers on an evening out during mid-autumn where you’re wearing heels and dancing slowly with your beau. Both of you just had a flute of champagne and giggles are wavering around until late at night. The next morning, woody warm kisses are still vaguely left imprinted on your skin.
celt75 – :
Love this fragrance so much, it has amazing sillage and longevity (lasted more than 24 hours on my skin, which is extraordinary since I have fragrance eating skin). It’s also the only fragrance that I can actually smell on myself through the day while wearing.
Yuss79 – :
If any fragrance that has “orange blossom” in it, it usually stands out a little more, or just being as one of the most dominant notes on my skin. There is no exception here either. Many others might have experienced more jasmine, but I smelled more orange blossom in this Elie Saab.
I enjoy both this Le Parfum and Le Parfum Intense, depending on my mood (although I may favor the Intense a little more for its depth and fullness). Since orange blossom actually blossoms on my skin more than other notes, I’m lucky enough not to experience any weird smells as other people have described. The honey in Le Parfum is more tamed and subtle, as well as patchouli. Le Parfum can be considered a feminine and “warm” floral woody summer fragrance, but I’d rather prefer it for spring or breezy, cooler days. It actually shines more and is “brighter”/”greener”/”woodier” than its Le Parfum Intense, due to the dominant white floral and wood note. The Intense actually “deepens”, and is richer with sophisticated prominent honey scent, but a little less “in the face”, because of the stronger honey instead of the white flowers and wood.
For people who can’t stand the “sharp” entrance, or woody dry down of this Le Parfum, you may be surprised, as the Intense may work out better for you, just don’t let the word “intense” “scare” you. Most of the time, the Intense version/flanker is not what people would normally think. It is actually NOT “louder”, nor “bolder”, nor “sweeter” than its regular parfum. It is “deeper”, “smoother”. It “goes a little under” actually, and more rounded. For example, Chanel Coco Mad Intense versus the original Coco Mad, or La Vie Est Belle Intense versus the original La Vie Est Belle…
karepelli – :
Sharp barbershop-style cologne at first. Then it mellows into a soapy powder floral with an herbal backbone. On my skin, it didn’t share any orange blossoms. It felt refined but a little too mature, like an antiseptic oriental built for retirement in Florida, or like if you’re wearing a lotion-style fragrance (like Philosophy’s Amazing Grace, for instance) and then get a bear hug from Grandpa. ..And I say all that as someone who typically loves rose and patchouli perfumes, so it must’ve been my skin chemistry on this one.
I don’t dislike this perfume, but until drydown it was kind of a cheap, headache inducing scent and then the payoff just wasn’t compelling enough to bother with it again.
Xrayengine1994 – :
Got a sample vial of this, and….k I’m kind of obsessed with it right now!
I very much agree with spiderleenie. It’s gorgeous, not too floral, soft, and very sweetly feminine. The notes are perfectly blended to provide a lush, rounded scent reminiscent of summer flowers in all of their fully-bloomed glory. I say summer because I catch a beachiness (almost sunscreen-like) in the top notes – which I guess must be the jasmine.
Anyway I’d go with your gut after reading the reviews, because it seems to be one of those fragrances where the notes are consistently agreed upon – be them loved or hated. It smells like what it smells like, and it’s our individual preferences, rather than perception, that will more likely determine your feelings toward it.
Easily my new favorite!

This is a beautiful white floral fragrance. If you ask me, this just screams “Summer Bride Perfume.” It’s very feminine, soft, pretty, and bright.
Obviously the notes that stand out the most are the jasmine and the orange blossom. I love these two white florals very much, and they also happen to work great together. The honey comes in to give the white florals a subtle sweetness that isn’t overpowering in the slightest. I think the honey adds dimension to the florals.
I find that the base notes aside from the honey (the patchouli, the roses, and the woody notes) are very, VERY subtle. I think that these notes were only added to prevent the strong white florals from smelling too clean and to prevent the honey from smelling syrupy or too sweet. If you are not at all a fan of patchouli or rose fragrances, then I wouldn’t worry about this perfume, because those notes are barely noticeable to me.
This fragrance lasts a very long time on me, which is also a good reason to pick this fragrance out as a bride. The sillage isn’t obnoxious either, so I think you could pull off an extra spritz or two without feeling like a cloud of chemicals about to suffocate everyone.
Overall, I think that this is a gorgeous fragrance that can be pulled off by almost ALL age ranges. To me, I think this perfume is a total crowd pleaser without being boring or uninteresting. If you just want to smell PRETTY, then I wholeheartedly recommend this. I love this one.
jzj973speagoessenda – :
It doesn’t agree with my skin chemistry.
Which is most unfortunate because all the listed notes are delightful.
I tested it last year. It left me aghast.
Since then, I’ve been informed of the notes and therefore, decided to give it another chance.
I mean, beloved orange blossom, honey, rose and cedar! That combination sounds so promising!
For sure, I’m missing out on a gem, so let’s test again.
To be correct, I haven’t repeated the experience with a blank state of mind.
On the opposite: excited by my awareness of these lovely notes, I threw all clinical objectivity to the wind!
I was sooo predisposed to love it.
That horrendous opening 🙁 Made me choke.
Sharp indolic, heavy powdery frags, and the scent of fresh lilies or narcissus usually trigger that gag reflex.
Their common attributes being: an overwhelming blast of chalky bitterness, followed by foul morning breath.
It ruined the orange blossom.
Once I let it dry, it turned into rubber and fecal matter.
Jasmine sambac possesses aforementioned characteristics, amongst others, doesn’t it?
I completely comprehend “dirty” notes may add some dimension and interest.
Unfortunately, no nuanced animalistic undertones here: just straight up mammal dejections.
I tried hard to overcome my repulsion. I kept smelling. But finding any redeeming quality was out of reach.
Since I couldn’t stomach that stench and started to feel queasy, allowing the perfume to progress was just inconceivable.
Scrubbed it all, here we go.
I’m just not ready to get physically sick in the name of research.
At least, I tried.
ADD-ON:
This review has been well downvoted, although I didn’t use foul language or disrespected my fellow Fragranticians.
I can’t believe recounting my perfume experience and not bearing its smell have become valid reasons for being booed!
Since when trying hard to like a perfume that ends up making one physically sick is an offensive statement?
Some people need to realize tastes and opinions vary from one to another (or physical resistance thresholds, in this instance).
vikk – :
This is a very feminine beautifully blended perfume, not too dominant but just a feminine fragrance.
I would wear this to go to dinner on a first date! it oozes class and women that knows what she wants! in a feminine way! The cedar the rose and the honey!!, Its so very well blended and just enough strength, it’s so subtle but strong!!
It’s class!!

I think that Elie Saab knew perfectly how to recreate its own history through this perfume, a mix between East and West. With perfumer Mr Kurdijan, this scents are solar and woody, but also slightly floral. A perfume that I recommend even if I do not wear it! Also a great success concerning the crystal bottle that allows you to play with light, brilliance and transparency.
blannonee – :
In my lifetime of wearing perfume I’ve always stuck to wearing gourmands and orientals, however, Ellie Saab scents have been intriguing me for a very long time. I’ve always liked florals but thought them too light and fresh and unfitting with my personality.
However, this year I’ve been really drawn to fresh, light and clean scents. I’ve longed for an ideal spring fragrance that smelled mature, expensive, classy and luxurious. Ellie Saab’s perfumes hold all of these traits in my eyes.
I’ve had a couple of samples of Ellie Saab and the battle was between Ellie Saab’s girl of now which was a sweeter floral, and this iconic scent. In the end, I chose this one because of its longivity and silage, since my skin absorbs perfume like no other.
It was crisper than the samples, but settled down into a lovely soft floral.
I absolutely adore it. It’s the most perfect scent for spring and hot summer days. However, when i have a headache I can stomach sweeter perfumes but not this one and my boyfriend- let’s say he’s not a fan. I think men overal prefer sweeter scents since all my female friends absolutely love it.
And I love how it’s appropriate and exudes elegance and maturity whenever I’m having an assembly.
In short, no regrets at all. I’m very happy I finally own an Ellie Saab.

Heartbreakingly beautiful and romantic.
Longevity is impressive.
To me it’s very linear which is a good thing.

Elegant, intoxicating, smart and extremely feminine perfume I have come across.
Best so far from my collection.
Tiremanen – :
What you smell is what you get, an elegant intoxicating bouquet of white flowers with excellent longevity. A scent for serious lovers of big classic florals.
1Glync – :
I sprayed this on without knowing what notes were there.
The alcohol is not too much.
I was first hit by a powder note (which i believe is the rose). 90% of this dies down in about 5mins, the rest is still stuck there quite close to the skin. It is a powdery grandma type rose, or gentle and demure sort of rose good for young girls.
Then I get a smell that is good for spring or summer. Very sweet and fruity-floral, but at the same time sparkling clean. I guess this is the orange flower. The orange smells like flowers. It doesn’t smell zesty or sour like lime, and not super fruity like marmalade. It smells very sweet because of the honey note.
I can’t smell much jasmine because it is too well blended. But it is there.
It smells like a mid range priced perfume. It doesn’t smell expensive because it gives me a bit of a headache. Must be the synthetic jasmine, which doesn’t smell at all like real jasmines.
Ends with pleasant grandma rose. Actually it is a really nice rose. No powder.
It’s not too strong and not too light, it’s just right. It is not a single note, nor is it overly complex. It’s well blended and smells like one big well rounded note.
It’s a nice smell for socialising with your girlfriends, going shopping, or brunch or high tea. Something girly. Bit romantic and elegant, like a girl who wears Review clothes and doesn’t swear. Her parents were probably teachers or accountants. Bit boring yeah? Or fun and young and classy?
You probably could get away with wearing it to work, or for a casual date. There are no musky undertones. No sexy vibes. A versatile every day fragrance.I like this perfume, I don’t love it. Try layering it with other scents. I haven’t had much luck layering though.
Oh one more thing! The first jasmine-orange-rose combo I smelled was Mira Bai by Chopard. It is a much more beautiful jasmine smell. (Ok it’s not orange, it’s peach. But it comes in orange packaging, so for a long time I thought I distinctly smelled orange.)
Elie Saab reminds me of: Body Shop Swietenia
rwt078JeomiWogkig – :
It has quite a herbal, medicinal, sharp element in the beginning then the orange blossom smell comes along, and the honey. It reminds me of Spring flowers, and gardens. It’s fresh and floral. and not cloyingly sweet like a lot of perfumes. Just right for me.
Later as the perfume develops the jasmine and patchouli give it a slightly, herbal, menthol, less flowery smell, along with a floral background. This maybe gives it a bit of an edge, as otherwise it would just a generic floral.
It’s distinctive, and doesn’t smell like any other perfume I know. It has got a kind of Middle Eastern vibe to me, as well as smelling spring like in the beginning. I can sort of imagine bazaars, and Morocco, and wooden bowls, and spices, and ointments. It leave a lovely scent on clothes, and I sprayed some accidentally in my hair when spraying my neck, so my hair smells lovely, it has lasted longer than on my skin actually.
After wearing it for several days, I’ve found that the major note I pick up is jasmine, which I didn’t expect. I thought it would be a more orange blossom based perfume. It actually reminds me of Alien, even though the bottles are very different.
LealeBurl – :
I was quite surprised when I first sprayed Le Parfum EDP and got a blast of sweet strawberries and bubble gum. I also got that from the pink Resort Collection flanker, but that one at least has fruity notes, while this one hasn’t. It might be the rose that comes across as fruity together with the honey, and the orange blossom having a bubblegummy facet.
Anyways, I like that opening! It smells delicious and not just fruity-sweet. Orange blossom is definitely the strongest note here.
The more the fragrance dries down, the more jasmine comes out on my skin. It’s a little sharp, especially combined with the patchouli, but that’s good, it cuts through the sweet honyed scent and makes it interesting.
My problem is that sometimes the jasmine and patch have the perfect amount of sharpness, and sometimes they become a little too sharp on my skin after a while. It seems like this changes from day to day, maybe it has something to do with skin temperature or hormones. It’s a pity, I love it sometimes and not quite love it the next day.
Anyways, this is a well-made and interesting blend of white floral, honey, fruit and patchouli.
The orange blossom reminds me of Lutens Fleur d’Oranger a bit. While FdO is a bit dirty and sultry, Elie Saab Le Parfum is cleaner while still flirty. Like relatives with different personalities.
I also thought of another fragrance while testing this – JPG Scandal. Not because they’re similar, they’re absolutely not, but because this smells like I would have wanted Scandal to smell like (instead that one is really cloying to me).
I will not get a bottle because it reacts too unreliably with my skin, but I’ll keep my sample and try it again on varying conditions.
qunodolofwawj – :
This is a little screechy on my for the first 30 minutes. There is something rather intense and herbal about the orange blossom note that makes it not one of my favorites, which is odd because I have nothing against neroli scents.
After that it sweetens and I get the really nice honeyed floral everyone is talking about.
But it is slowly overtaken by patchouli. I had heard people talk about the menthol note in patchouli but I hadn’t really noticed it as much before. Here I definately get a hint of muscle rub.
woxab – :
I don’t love overly sweet and heavy fragrances. But this fragrance works just right for me – even though there is a sweet honey note in it. This actually smells wonderfully luxurious on my skin. To me it truly is beautiful – sweet and yet classy. I would say this is a perfume for a special occasion or when you want to feel elegant and romantic. All the notes feel well balanced and create a warm and beautiful composition of honey and flowers.
blackag – :
This fragrance has lain almost forgotten in my perfum closet for over two years… I tried to buy the intense version, but got this instead. Naturally I was a bit angry and disappointed with the seller, but (not proud of this) too lazy to send it back … I thought the scent was okay, and I might use it some time anyway…
Well, today I wanted to try something refreshing and when going through my modest collection found this.
The opening is a bit too harsh for me, for some reason I find the orange flower very strong.
But then, after more than half an hour, the scent becomes this elegant perfume, that makes you want to sit up straight and check your make up & hair is in order! ;-D
I’d say this belongs to the same “classy” group of white florals such as e.g. Organza, J’adore (Lumiere/EDT) or even Gabrielle.
As I’m having a day-off work, I’ll return to my L’Occitane Neroli & Orchidee for today, but to conclude, I think I made a very good decision not to sent this back, this a very good perfume for more formal occations.
Tockchede – :
Initially this starts out as a very clear orange blossom note. It smells like an actual flower for a couple of seconds before the jasmine joins in. Ten minutes later it is a genuine jasmine scent that then lasts for hours. Finally the base notes appear. Initially together with the jasmine, but over time they become more and more dominant. Among the base notes I cannot detect neither the cedar nor the rose. While I can smell a little of the honey, the patchouli is very dominant at this stage.
A full day later this is still going strong. During that wear time it goes through several noticeably different phases. Do take that into account. As for projection, I can easily detect it from almost a meter away. Spray lightly if you want to avoid that!
This is a genuinely elegant perfume. It would be fitting for evening events. While being heavier than many other florals, this does not have the same overwhelming heaviness as e.g. Chanel nr 5.
The simplicity of the single-note scents can appear rather boring for some, but I don’t mind when the notes are as well crafted as here. Had this perfume stayed in the jasmine stage until it disappeared, I would have really liked this. However, I’m personally not a fan of patchouli, and here the patchouli is dominant enough to give me an headache.
In conclusion: If you like florals, elegant perfumes and and don’t mind patchouli or single note scents, this might be a good choice.

Definitely ruddy scent of noble, elegant!!
That’s my favorite floral fragrance. My mum’s also favorite signature parfume. It feels mystic flowery breeze of Middle Eastern. Longevity’s also good.
I’ll use this fragrance on my future wedding day!!
Sillage and longevity: very good

The smell reminds me of an old Victorian English Roses. It’s got that classic floral scent and there is this old vintage feel to it. But all in all I would recommend this for Spring. Beautiful scent!
klop90 – :
@diluted paintbox I totally agree with you, I found this fragrance really close to scandal by JPG, they both have the same character, I used this fragrance so much the last week, and for the first 2 days I was feeling this fragrance smells like something I already have!! But couldn’t make up my mind, but then I remember the loud and overwhelming honey that I get from scandal mixed with patchouli and something sour, and for the rest of the week I was assuring myself “oh yeah they both are similar”, Scandal tends to be more gourmandish, whereas le parfum tends to be more citrusy!
Захид – :
Wow. This caught me off guard. I’ve had a sample of it for quite some time now, but haven’t tried it till today. The day, when my Scandal delivery has arrived.
This is more classy, feminine and delicate version of Scandal.
I understand that to some people, it may be too simple. It is simple, but I can smell every single note and I looove every single note in this perfume. I love orange blossom and jasmine combination, they are really well blended, not too sharp. I am obsessed with honey, but rarely find honey that suits me. This one does (actually, it is the same honey as in Scandal, but not that heavy). Cedar and patchouli behave really nice on my skin and rose – well, this one I don’t really smell in here, but imo this is great.
It is gorgeous perfume, I find it really close to me and although I have just purchased Scandal, I think this one will be mine eventually as well.
In love.
