Valentyn – :
This review is for the Thymes Lavender body lotion.
I have had a sample sent to me with another purchase from Thymes. Right after shower I have decided to don something different, applied an entire sample generously without smelling it first and what a surprise: the smell is perfectly masculine, I smell of masculine leather right now, as masculine if not more than in Dior Fahrenheit Homme (actually it’s close), and definitely more masculine than Dior Homme and Terre d’Hermes Parfum.
It would be pleasant for me to smell this on my husband. Good solid projection, nice longevity(at least 6 hr on my skin).
Since it was chilly today, I wore a cardigan and sprayed Chanel #5 Premier, just a little on my sleeve. I ended up with something of the Must de Cartier result.
For all of you who love Must de Cartier, this Lavender Thymes lotion(and probably, fragrance too) might provide a very desirable leather component from complex Must de Cartier. This little experiment helped me understand my attitude towards Must de Cartier due to the character of the leather note in that fragrance and that Chanel #5 Premier is almost Must de Cartier minus leather of Lavender Thymes.
154 Jo Malone has something in common with Lavender Thymes.
154 is a very grown up, very interesting serious perfume more on the masculine side, the legend says that Jo created it for herself, then shared it with everyone else.
