As a man this is a nice fragrance for casual use for a particular lady.
I get a smooth, slightly floral and mellow rose with somewhat brooding tone. This is not a light or cheerful fragrance, but I don’t feel it is dark either.
I find this a casual fragrance for a femme fatale lady or lady with a dark side.
It lasted 5 hours or so and projected softly.
This is not a love for me and would suggest mancera red tobacco over this personally. That being said, it is a good niche fragrance for a unique lady.

I bought the largest bottle blindly and it didn’t work out at all. It does not smell bad but on my skin, I can barely smell anything at all. The initial notes are even weak. After 5 mins, I smell nothing at all. It must be a personal issue with my skin bc of all the great reviews I have been reading. I wish I had bought Another Oud. If anyone wants to trade a large bottle of another oud for this one, please contact me.

I found Lady Vengeance very similar with Narciso Rodriguez EDP. I like it but it lacks uniqueness.

Rose, vanilla, patch ….and Ambroxan, luckily it doesn’t come across synthetic. Lady Vengenace is probably the best from the Juliette house. I like it but remain on the fence, especially after the first hour when the perfume turns to a personal scent. It stays that way for several hours on my perfume eating skin, so it may be just me.
I like the notes I’m picking up in the opening and drydown, and remain happy with my travel sized purchase. I probably won’t buy anything further. Not a masterpiece, but it’s very nice.

A fantastically charming, soft, spicy rose combination.
It’s rose at the backbone, made herbally spicier with patchouli, & naturally deep with musk & ambroxan.
    Attractively mature.
A job well done by Juliette.

Very nicely done patchouli, musky rose with light scents of lavender and geranium hovering over the composition. It is not ground breaking, sorta “been there, smelled that”. It is a straight forward rose, patchouli and musk fragrance. The rose scent here is in between the rose from some rose & oud fragrances and Narciso Rodriguez For Her line, but less powdery and a little more crisp, more green. The complete dry down is just simply gorgeous as the scent projected well with long lasting power.
I want a big bottle of this. If you like rose/oud perfumes and Narciso Rodriguez For Her line, like I do, you will also like Lady Vengeance.

I wanted to love this perfume because it has so many notes that I love. (And “Sympathy for Lady Vengence” is a great film!) It smells gorgeous when I first put it on, but the dry down becomes medicinal on me. I cannot put my finger on exactly what it is other than it turns into a strong cough drop smell. I had to wash it off.
I did try it in the late spring when the humidity was just starting to climb. I may give it a try for late fall/winter. I just will not try it if I am going anywhere, just in case.

Fresh almost astringent bergamot with rose and lavender. It’s very “alcoholic beverage” or as others have mentioned Barbershop rose with a retro shaving cream vibe, rockabilly pin up girl ect… I find it very masculine yet still feminine if that makes any sense. The patchouli becomes more prominent as it dries down. The longevity is impressive, still staying strong hours later.

I first tried this perfume in Sephora and fell in love with it, so then I bought the largest bottle available. I love everything with patchouli, and this has a strong patchouli base which makes it warm and spicy. It’s certainly not a “nice/sweet girl” kind of smell. Rather, it smells quite sharp and even cold/distant. I think it would fit well for a daring, independent woman. And in the end, this scent does not smell cheap at all – definitely fits in the “niche” category.

  10. :

Starts out with a mint-chocolate-chip accord. That quickly fades. Then we have older, medicinal roses.
The best stage is the final stage – something I find true of JHAG as a whole. After you give this about two hours, it becomes a nice, intriguing rose/patch/vanilla scent for you. But that takes a while and by the time it gets to that point it has stopped projecting.

  11. :

    3 out of 5

Not bad. . . It’s just, as with many of the JHAG perfumes I’ve tried, I was expecting something more interesting. The promotional imagery, the bottle, the name itself; they all left me anticipating a much darker and more seductive fragrance.
They were on the right track with the vanilla and rose, two notes that are very sexy paired with one another. I think the patchouli is throwing me off. I’m not adverse to patchouli in general, but here it fights the rose for attention, putting a damper on the whole thing. It’s a bit stifling, to be honest. I think a spicier note would’ve done this scent more justice; anise or clove, maybe?
Again, it’s not a “bad” perfume, and clearly many reviewers love it. It just doesn’t feel worthy of the title “Lady Vengeance” to me. Not bold or complex enough.

  12. :

It started like a rather fresh herbal with that lavender and bergamot combo. After the fragrance developed, I get the most realistic rose accompanied by patchouli, musk and some vanilla – just right amount of sweetness – nothing sticky.
The scent still feels soft and gentle, quite airy, the lavender in the background gives it a nice edge.
I love roses as flowers, not a big fan of the note in fragrances, but hands down this is the best rose based perfume I have ever smelled.
Although not being something I would get myself, I think it’s one great perfume.
    To me 7,5/10.

    I get no lavender.
On first spritz I froze, sniffed again because this (surprisingly) scratches my Midnight Poison itch. Both on me are rich sweet rose/patch.
They aren’t a dupe of each other but if you like Midnight Poison I’m guessing you’ll like this.

My update review of “Lady Vengeance”
I personally don’t wearing this fragrance but my mother did. Last week she went to the hospital and everyone who smell this just asked her what fragrance her wearing! Wow again this is one of the best most compliment fragrance I found, and I love it so much because how good silage it is and my mother signature scent for a year. The fragrance on skin smell is good, but silage auras (and tail) is the greatest! I don’t know because ISO E make it outstanding on silage? In my country ( Thailand ) that’s extremely hot and humid it still very long lasting and silage like a bomb , but so so good fresh rose vibes and never cloying….
    Update score
Scent 10/10 ( And still great in extremely hot weather)
    Silage 10/10 ( About 5-10 meters )
Occasion and versatile 10/10 ( All season from casual to very formal wear )
Still the best modern woman fragrance on earth in a man opinion!

Spicy lavender from the beginning. The drydown is mainly rose with spicy patchouli. Very sweet and warm when dry. This is definitely one of the most intense rose fragrances I’ve tried.

  16. :

    4 out of 5

This is the most real rose I’ve smelled in a perfume. It’s like crushing thick, cool rose petals with your fingers. Kind of a soapy, cold cream vibe (probably a bad lavender). No sexy vanilla on me. Just church ladies.

  17. :

I wanted to like this but I really don’t.
To me it smells like a very annoying person would wear it.
I’m not saying literally an annoying person would wear it so please no offense if you love it, it just smells like a cold, mean, pretentious woman to me, does that make sense?
Cold, sterile, antipathetic, missing femininity and sensuality. And, frankly, bizarre (which is not a bad thing in and of itself).

  18. :

This was a blind buy and immediately reminded me when I was 15 and take yoga classes almost everyday.
I smell the mix of the sandalwood stick incense and roses from the perfume (or esential oil) from the instructor.
So it’s inevitable to me to see it as an relax, bohemian, hippie scent.

  19. :

I just can’t wear this one. I can’t. It breaks my heart. I love rose fragrances. I love the bottle and the name. But after the initial spray it’s nothing but shrieks of dirty patchouli on me. I envy those women who wear it well. And whose boyfriend or husband doesn’t have a hypersensitive nose like mine does; if I wear anything stronger than a watery floral or skinscent he gets a migraine and won’t come near me. Guess the best I can do is wearing Mad Madame or Pinrose when he’s away.

One of these perfumes I can wear always. Since I got it as a gift if I am hesitating which perfume to choose for today I have taken a black bottle of Juliette. Also now I have an answer for an eternal question “What is a woman?” If one starts a philosophical discussion (you know, there are those who do), to stop him, just let him to smell Juliette. “Pretty woman walking down the street…” that’s it lol)) She is not a femme fatal, not an innocent girl, not a housewife with cookies and three kids, not a career bitch, not a sportive buddy-girl… Dao Woman, you see, lol))) This is what is used to call Anima A lot of rich, deep, sensual and luxury rose, a bit sweetie, but so amazing I want to breeze it again and again and never stop. My skin thinks the same and eats Juliette immediately. My poor Lady, it’s not resistant at all on my skin! I’ll need another bottle soon. Only one question to Romano Ricci: Why Lady Vengeance??? No vengeance, she is above of it. You can’t think about vengeance smelling this fragrance, the Lady fills you and you forget about all your nasty intentions P.S. A special pleasure is to touch the bottle. I don’t know what it is made of but I spent two days with a bottle in my hands touching and rubbing it. The same happened to my Juliette Romantina. Well… I must confess, now I’m doing the same…

Yes, it may be on the softer side but I don’t see it feminine. I wear it to work sometimes and it’s a beautiful fragrance. The rose and musk are so well blended with patchouli and the other notes. Long lasting on my skin, 8+ hours.

  22. :

I love the style for the gorgeous JHAG 🙂 It doesn’l look classy but in this modern world does look very chic. I just can’t wait to buy my first. It’ll be a blind buy 😉

To me, this is more Lady than Vengeance. Rose is the star in this (duh) and it has a nice balance of darkness and fresh fruity aspects, only in the beginning it can come off a little soapy.
Patchouli and musk deepen the fragrance. It has something warm and creamy to it, and a hint of girly vanilla sweetness. A little sexy, but also a little cold. I don’t think this is a really dark and seductive fragrance, it’s only slightly so and could be worn during the daytime in colder climates. On my skin, the musk and patchouli becomes a bit too sharp after a while, similar to that in many Narciso Rodriguez fragrances, though not as much. If you don’t know that problem in general, you will most likely not have it with Lady Vengeance either.
Overall this is a nice fragrance. I’m not a rose fanatic though and this doesn’t swipe me off my feet. The flanker, Vengeance Extreme, is much more impressive and sensual to me.

Over the past two years or so, I have grown to absolutely LOVE perfumes that showcase rose as the starring role. Lady Vengeance is no exception. This is a gorgeous rose-patchouli-musk fragrance that somehow avoids smelling “old.” This is a sharp and thorny rose fragrance!
Upon first spray, I get the rush of rose and patchouli. These two notes never go away, but they definitely soften up a just a little bit as the vanilla and the musk come in during the drydown to add a little touch of sweetness. This is still very much a rose and patchouli-dominated fragrance, though.
Overall, the perfume smells floral, musky, and juuuust a little bit creamy on my skin. It has fantastic lasting power on me as well. I would say that this is a good nighttime perfume for the younger ladies and a good everyday perfume for people 30-ish and up.

I discovered recently that I love rose scents. I was trying out several JHAG in the store and this one was instantly my favorite. I didn’t know the notes then and somehow didn’t pay attention to the very prominent rose note here since I was a little overwhelmed by testing out 5-6 perfumes at once. I just loved the whole composition and got a sample of this fragrance to take home. As I was enjoying Lady Vengeance at home I noticed a striking similarity between this perfume and Modern Muse Le Rouge which I own. I tested them side by side. They both have this make-up’y quality to them, like a scent of an expensive luscious lipstick. They both share the BIG, luxurious, a little dusty rose, prominent patchouli and vanilla notes. MM Le Rouge is a little more sharp and synthetic on the initial application. But MM Le Rouge is also less pricey than Lady Vengeance. I love them both – gorgeous warm comforting winter scents.

Iso-E usually sends me running for the hills (Alien I’m looking at YOU) but in LV its almost worth the weird fuzzy spacey headache because it’s blended in so nicely. I can’t say I’ve ever been a huge fan of Iso-E or Ambroxan, but after wearing Lady Vengeance, this composition at the very least makes them tolerable. To echo GeorgiaMoxie, the Iso-E punch this juice packs is real, and I have to be really careful when wearing this so as not to melt my own darn face off or bomb everyone around me. The tiniest spray in the crook of each elbow is more than enough to enjoy the lovely notes without perishing from the aromachemical excess.
But more than anything, Lady Vengeance feels to me like an analogue of Midnight Poison. Now that I’ve worn both, I can say that I prefer Midnight Poison by a slim margin, mostly because there’s not as much of an Iso-E presence there, and the patchouli is much more robust. However, those woes provoked by MP’s discontinuation are somewhat assuaged by LV. It’s much, much sweeter than I anticipated, the roses being deep and deliciously syrupy, yet tempered through the softness of lavender and musk. The patchouli takes somewhat of a backseat on my skin, as more of a shadowy dark presence flickering in and out of olfactory perception. Deeply femme roses and charmingly butch lavender feel like the stars here, and with a name like Lady Vengeance, I have to confess I was expecting something a bit darker, and a bit more patchouli-forward. Instead, this is somewhat of a balancing act instead of the exercise in wild abandon I was hoping for! No matter – while it’s not a safe blind buy, it is worth a careful sampling, and for those who like very sweet roses as I do, it’s definitely worth a shot!

  27. :

    5 out of 5

    Wait, wait, don’t rush!
It takes a while until all the notes come together in harmony. At first the Rose is wild, out of balance, the patchouli is spiraling out of control in the back, the musk comes and go, indecisive trying to find its place.
But then finally, they clash, they merge and melt and from all that chaos a fantastic leathery, floral, powdery and musky fragrance emerge.
It’s so good. I mean so, so good!
This is Lady Vengeance. Feminine, twisted, sexy and not willing to take any bs.

My mother wears this fragrance today and I want to say “WOW!” This perfume is incredibly power! It silage is about 5-10 meters and longevity all day long. This perfume open with smooth and fresh rose vibe. I thinks I love this classy rose smell that naturally without synthetic. This is one of the best woman fragrance from a man opinion.
    Sexy – Active – Smart

The first time I tried this, it was so harsh that I posted here that it was like industrial cleaner. Fabuloso to be more precise. The lavender and Iso E Super was super strong. I think the sprayer on that bottle was spraying far too much product.
I recently got the guts to try this again only this time, I tested the sprayer first to see if it would soak me and then went very easy on the trigger (pun intended) and sprayed my wrist. It was so much better. I do agree, it’s very much like Narciso Rodriguez For Her. It’s a rose-patchouli musky scent. Then it goes even deeper, woody, and becomes muskier. Vanilla comes in taking it even deeper and just a little sweeter. Slightly metallic which is what reminds me of NR in the beginning. Wears very well on my skin even though that Iso E Super can be just a bit strong on my skin. Because of it the longevity is very good.
Some people are anosmic to Iso E Super and certain musks so if you think you don’t get much longevity, that could be the reason why. I picked up the purse spray today to try it out further at home but so far, I’m loving it.
Edit to add 1: I was wearing it today. I started getting whiffs and it reminded me of another fragrance, L’eau de Chloe. The bergamot, rose, patchouli, cedar (Iso E Super) and musk I think was what was doing it on my skin. There was no metallic tinge to the musk. I’m thinking it’s because of the change in shower gel I was using. So now I’m loving this even more.
Edit to add 2: Ok! I’m in love!

This is a sexy rose! Mmmm! Rose, musk, and vanilla are what I get mostly from this…very intoxicating, sexy, velvety roses in madame’s boudoir, not a shy wall flower for sure! I would call this rose a hot pink in a 40’s powder room with lots of velvet and satin, scrolled framed mirrors and ladies smoking those long slim cigarettes. Hot hot hot! And very well done Juiette Has A Gun…I am loving this house the more I explore.
Gorgeous powdery vixen of a rose…

  31. :

I’m not sure why I have taken so long to try this. The rose, patch and musk are very upfront and in your face on the opening. I definitely note the rose geranium along the timeline. It’s clearly present to bolster the rose notes. I don’t get anything that dark and heavy. There is definitely plenty of Ambroxan and Iso E making a big sillage. It is perhaps still surprising why it doesn’t have better longevity with so much patch.
It’s a nice fragrance for patch or rose lovers but nothing dark or exciting to be found.
I adore Calypso and this has no resemblance. I used to have Agent Provocateur and that is way more strong and dark.

  32. :

    3 out of 5

Tried this one today and I have to say that I expected something completely different – dark, sexy, controversial, daring… And in my mind this would have a totally different name. On me this is rose, sweet sweet Bulgarian rose with a hint of loukoum and powder. It’s actually quite soft and gentle, comforting even. It stays very close to the skin and even though I think it’s quite okayish and I like rose, it’s not exceptional and there is nothing that would make me buy this perfume. On the other hand, I suspect I might be anosmic to Iso E Super, so I guess I am missing a certain dimension of this creation here.

Similar to Calipso by Robert Piguet.
    Original Rodriguez (musk)+rose (a lot)+patchouli.
    Staying power could be better.

Lady Vengeance works best in extremely hot humid weather after it has mixed with sweat. Weird, but true. Perspiration tones down the chemical glare and brings the roses to life. It even turns sweet in a flowery way, with fresh herbal patchouli. My best extremely hot weather scent.
On the other hand, this is a sharp metallic mess on me in cold weather. In winter it smelled dire and screechy, but in the upper nineties temps here it’s sublime. I wonder whether anyone else agrees.

  35. :

    5 out of 5

This is very much like its jammy sibling Vengeance Extreme, but Lady V. is a lot less dense and heavy. It’s a lovely combo of rose, patchouli, lavender and musk. It’s feminine for sure, but it has a slightly barbershop-like masculine edge that makes it more interesting.
Very versatile; I think you can wear this one anytime anywhere (Vengeance Extreme is so thick that I can’t imagine wearing it in warmer temps). Average performance.
Strong like. Definitely one of the best from JHAG!

  36. :

    3 out of 5

From the name and the notes I expected Lady Vengeance to be dark and sultry and somewhat dangerous, however that was not my experience. As other reviews have indicated, Lady Vengeance is all about rose and patchouli…the rose is fresh, the patchouli is green and together they create a rather astringent and sharp fragrance. To my nose there is nothing sweet or sultry about this perfume so if you’re looking for a dark, heavy rose-patch combo, Lady Vengeance likely isn’t wha you’re looking for.
Sillage is moderate and longevity is good–I could easily smell this on a shirt more than 24 hours later.

  37. :

This appeared as a very clean scent on me. It actually reminded me of my dad’s shaving cream when I was a child. Probably because of this, I actually thought it was a bit too masculine for me. My husband didn’t like it on me either.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

Wow,this is young and a bit dark! A fantastic, dusty rose. A peculiar, romantic and slightly airy scent… The rose prevails but without being too offensive, i like how the ambroxan interacts with other notes, I like it!!
    Sillage: 7./10
    Longevity: 7.5/10
    Scent: 8./10
    Overall: 8./10

  39. :

This is lovely, I’m apparently a fan of the rose/patchouli mix. It works so well for me! Usually rose feels so old and powdery, but this smells so earthy and dark. There is a nice sharpness to it which is wrapped around sweet vanilla giving it a nice creamy feel. This is a nice sharp perfume for a nice hard lady. Very unique. 8/10

  40. :

    3 out of 5

The rose/ patch combo seems to be popular right now but this one is head and shoulders above the rest. Search no more for your perfect combination of these notes, it is here!
The first blast is most definately rose, a little strong but all Juliettes pack a punch when you first put them on. Then the patchouli arrives to temper the rose and they mix together divinely.
The dry down is something else. Words, notes? I cannot and will not attempt to describe it. Whatever I said would be inadequate. It is truly, utterly gorgeous and keeps your nose almost permanently attached to your wrist. Every note in here mixes so perfectly to give one of the best dry downs I have ever encountered.

  41. :

    3 out of 5

Here’s a gorgeous scent that, unfortunately, doesn’t work for me. On paper, this should be a clear winner, because I love rose and patchouli, and I love Francis Kurkdjian’s work. It does start promisingly, with strong bergamot that reminds me of Coco Noir, and then it quickly transforms into a lush rose. However, it doesn’t last more than 90 minutes on my skin – honestly, less than two hours after application it’s completely gone! I think it might have to do with Iso E Super and Ambroxan, because several other fragrances that feature these components similarly dissapear from my skin in no time. Pity.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

Not bad, but close to the skin, especially after one hour and later. Very weak. The smell is probably the best of the brand. It has the same vibe as narciso rodriguez.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

This is a nice rose floral scent. The rose is a little more delicate (not one of those big heady full bodied roses) than I was expecting but isn’t powdery at all. Occasionally I’ll get a hint of something darker that could be patchouli. Occasionally I get a hint of something green that could be lime or geranium. Occasionally I get a light floral that isn’t rose and could easily be a hint of lavender.
It doesn’t morph much. On me it’s still somewhat present after 6 hours, but a little on the soapy side.

  44. :

    5 out of 5

I saw a bottle of it in discount shelf of hiland mall,a 3.4 oz was only 37$!there was just one bottle left and there was no tester.I didn’t buy it right away since I didn’t know about it.this brand isn’t well-known here but when I returned home and checked it’s notes and read reviews, couldn’t stop thinking about it
I’m not a hardcore rose lover.not a patchouli lover either but something was compelling me to go back and buy it while that single bottle is available.I thought this could be my THE ONE rosey love
Tonight I went back and bought it
First about it’s package and bottle. Unfortunately it’s white package has been dirty in store.but all in all it’s very intresting and unique.it’s bottle is a little work of art.different from anything I had before
About the scent.it’s far from my imaginations and was sort of a disappointment for me.I imagined it to be a rosey perfume in the vein of dior midnight poison or Narciso Rodriguez edp,I’m not a fan of these too.but I thought this could be a better version of these kind of sexy rose-patchouli perfumes but…
Rose is very dominant in lady vengeance. It’s more than 80 percent rose and less than twenty percent other notes.so when first sprayed I could only think of rose water which is called gulab here and we use it in funerals or religious rituals at mosques.a perfume with rose water undertone is known to be cheap and oldish in my country.ofcourse I don’t agree that and I like even how natural rose water smells but I expected something more here.something dark, sexy, something vengeance. To be honest it was the first time in my life that I was desperately seeking for slightest hint of patchouli
I decided to full wear so that maybe I could explore it’s hidden facets.I don’t like it’s opening.all I can smell is rose water, lavender and something woody, cedar like.after at least ten minutes I start to love it.I can’t find anything evil or outstanding yet,it’s all about a gentle rose, musk, bergamot ,slightest hint of vanilla and just a hint of subtle patchouli giving it some darker shades but this musky woody rose smells devine.I can’t even describe it,it’s so beautiful that seems to be out of this world.it’s angelic but not innocent and has a glow that seems to have supernatural origin
It’s the first time I’m wearing it and I think I need a lot of time to discover all it’s beauty as it seems to have lots of facets hiding behind rose;for now I can’t think about occasions or seasons to wear it.it’s beyond all this boundaries
I love it while I still think it’s too rosey.but I have to confess that rose was always a special flower for me.and this is a lovely boozy rose
If you’re looking for a gentle but a tad dark, feminine and sexy, clean but not soapy rose,it’s the one
I can’t feel it has heavy sillage but hubby Commented on it’s big projection even before asking
    ❤❤❤❤❤
    Edit:
It may seem simple but it stands out in my collection as a precious piece of rubi.it needs to blend with one’s skin chemistry and heat to really bloom to this enchanting, mesmerizing scent.it’s so balanced that you can wear it in various situations but for me,it’s too good to be wasted.it can be used as a weapon, something for seducing or hypnotize people.now that I know how iso e super smells to my nose and on my skin,I can easily feel it here blending seemlessly with other ingredients to create an aura with both angelic and demonic facets.it may seem too much for hot weather but on the other hand it needs a little bit of heat to unfold.make sure to spray it on your skin and not to overspray don’t let it’s velvety subtleness fool you as it has powerful projection
It’s not just a complement getter,it’s a breath taker.I don’t use it often but it’s one of my most loved perfumes
For loving it you don’t need to love patchouli or rose or musk or vanilla.you just need this perfume to love your skin and then it can steal your heart not at once but step by step, like the warmth of wine needing time to spread in your body

It is gorgeous, it is strong, it is long, long lasting, it is patchouli, it is rose, it is patchouli, it is rose………it is gorgeous!!!!!
It really is my second favourite of all perfumes, Lady Vengeance!!!!!!!!!
It is divine. It is so rich and passionate, alluring and sultry, sweet and potent. It is beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!!! I get almost more compliments with Lady Vengeance than any other perfume I have (except my signature scent), and my husband especially adores it and wants me to wear it all the time, which I nearly do. I really can hardly bear to be without the rich potent rose and patchouli lusciousness of it!!!!! It’s my dream perfume!!!! Really and truly, it is my dream perfect perfume!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!

Yes, very rose and very patchouli…. Unfortunately all it does for me is remind me of the hand soap I used at church when I was a kid.

Many here describe Lady Vengeance as very strong and bold and I don’t get that at all! Is it possible there are different batches? I get a singular but kind of weak rose smell – a very interesting rose – maybe one that is sadly wilting – and I get a thin, murky vanilla cream, but no patchouli in my batch and I love patchouli. I got the roller ball size from Sephora and have tried LV several times now over the past few days. I don’t know if I will ever love it. There is something medicinal about it as well that is neither soft and romantic or sexy and bold!
But along with Lady Vengeance i also got Juliette has a gun Not A Perfume roller ball size – which I can smell very strongly and I like. I only need a little spray of that and I am interested in it all days I am aware some can’t smell Not A Perfume at all. To some it smells like nothing. And for me Lady Vengeance, while it doesn’t smell like nothing, its boldness and strength escapes me and I experience a slightly sour wilted rose with weak vanilla. 🙁
So I am mixing the two to see if I like Lady Vengeance more when layered with something I do like a lot and can smell! So far this blend makes me appreciate the rose smell more, but i keep seeking out the Not A Perfume elements. Meaning, i really would rather wear NAP on its own rather than LV!
I wonder if there are any ingredients in Lady Vengeance that some cannot smell? Like, not smell at all. These were blind buys and I don’t regret it because I am really enjoying exploring new perfumes and love the concepts and stories behind Juliette Has A Gun fragrances.

Hands down, the best rose/patchouli combination in perfumery. Make no mistake, there is not a single one better! I know that to be a bold claim, but it’s true, nonetheless. At least, my stubborn nose insist it’s so. I can hardly disagree and maintain a straight face 😉
Lady Vengeance was my first love from Juliette Has a Gun. It’s where I took notice of this strangely named fragrance house. It’s where I began to take notice of the work of Francis Kurkdjian and it’s where I found my favorite note combination. My infatuation with all three remain to this day.
The rose in Lady Vengeance is a deep red, with leaves (a little green) AND thorns (for a little sharpness). It’s clear, grand and profoundly beautiful. The patchouli is equally compelling, strong and medicinal with a little of a modern chypre bite, but neither dirty nor clean. The musk is also along and most evident in the dry down, but it is a third wheel in Lady Vengeance, obvious but not where the main notes in the composition express themselves. Still the musk is notable and lovely in appeal.

    vanilla

Longevity and projection are very impressive, this is not a skin scent. Lady Demure, it is not.

This is a great rose and patchouli. I love it. Those two notes are the main thing through the whole life of the perfume, and it’s perfect for me. I love those two notes in perfumes, and I love a great variety of renditions, including this one. It’s terrific. It’s actually one of my favourite perfumes. Really gorgeous. Not at all too sweet or sickly or cloying or suffocating, instead it’s sharp and almost metallic. It’s quite masculine I think. In fact, the more I wear it the more I love it. It is fast becoming a must wear for me. Stunning.

My mind associates Francis Kurkdjian with sexy, feminine, delicate and modern scents. This time also I got the same vibe from testing this beauty and got a full bottle on the spot.
