La Perla La Perla for women of La Perla

Share:

Description

La Perla is a classic, floral fragrance. Fresh, spicy notes of citruses (lemon and bergamot), coriander and cardamom create the top. The heart is floral and sweet: rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and iris with a hint of honey and pepper. The base is made of trees and resins: patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood and benzoin. The perfume was created by perfumers of IFF in 1987.

A recent purchase of one of my favourite scents I used to wear about 20 years ago. It still has the distinct warm aroma I remember. I agree it is quite similar to Magie Noire but with a few subtle differences, I think this is more floral. I own Avon’s Perle Noire which bears an even more uncanny resemblance to it, in smell, name & similar bottle. I love all three anyhow, and am mighty glad to have it back in my collection after all these years.

Wow. How did I not know about this till a few weeks ago? The best perfume for hot weather especially. So tart at the top with uplifting softness, then a middle range of incredibly feminine sparkling earthy notes. I have a mini EDT not sure how old but its zinging still.
Its so beautiful and recently I got a bottle of the first formulation in the squat bottle. I am blown away by its subtle sparkle. Sounds paradoxical, and that is the magic that keeps me sniffing my wrists even though I am in a cloud of powdery femininity. When I inhale my wrist i get the citrus hit more which I absolutely crave because its so soothing and refreshing. Tons of compliments on this one in the current English heatwave. Amazing.
The perfumer hit this out of the park! I love love love vintage Chypre animalic creations and thus far, this one is the most wearable for any occasion that I have. Sillage is about 2 feet and the closer people get they get that citrus zing. Very safely alluring.
Animale is next on my list! Bravo La Perla – you are a gem.

    Subtle but sharp.
    Flowery but mossy.
I love it and wear it to work.
It’s a great pick me up.
    Sophisticated but light.
Wish I could sample the vintage.

And, I got a vintage EDT of this. WHOA!
This is the current EDP on STEROIDS! HELLS YEAH!
This is just louder and stronger/deeper and more fabulous than the current EDP offering. This is also Paloma to the MAX! The oldest Paloma I smelled was 2013.
Everything is richer and fuller in the vintage. Louder. Way green and earthy, still some sour animalic to it. This is my preferred 80s era green perfume! LOVE!

I spent the weekend with this La Perla EDP (boat shaped current bottle) and I LOVE IT! I def want to track down a vintage bottle now.
This still opens up a bit sour/sharp (like Animale) but there is a mix of clean-green-soap and earthy-sweat (a mossy perspiration like in Charlie Blue). I wore it on a sunny 70-degree day and I love it. I think it beats Paloma and Animale as far as vintage-smelling old soapy chypres go!

Based on a bottle of the current EDP juice, the “squatty” low bottle (not tall and oval shaped). At first this has the same sour/icky smell I also find in Animale and Parfum de Peau by Montana. I swear it’s ylang ylang– which I find waxy and sweet– which has no business being in chypres/greens IMO.
Anywho, it does pass. (And when applied to skin, this sourness doesn’t even show up- this was a tissue test for me)
I do get a sharp green, earthy pepper scent, but as it dries down it gets more soapy/powder/floral and feels really nice! Vintage smelling chypres/greens/animalics are my thing now, and this fits! I do have the current version, so I think the potency is meh.
I do see the similarity to Paloma, but PP doesn’t have that sour part. This has a slighty earthy/sweaty feel to the middle. It’s interesting, I will def update on how it wears on skin in the summer. (Mind you all, my Michigan summers are rarely HOT and HUMID. I consider 80 degrees to be sweltering!)
Overall, so far, this version is actually kinda green and clean, like Irish Spring.

Review based on a brand new bottle of EDT bought at a British department store.
What has happened to this glorious scent???
I used to always have a bottle of this on the go in the 1990’s and adored its smooth, balsamic, woodsy, luxurious scent so much. It was never my ‘signature’ scent but I really loved it… I have not owned a bottle for a long time, until recently when I excitedly bought a massive bottle of La Perla EDT, in the discount ‘bins’ at a well known department store here in the UK.
I was so thrilled as I thought I had snapped up a real bargain (£17.50)! I dashed home and spritzed it, liberally as usual, but I could not smell anything! Literally. A slight floral/woody/stale smell which didn’t even hang around for ten minutes! I was SO disappointed…and cross…
I have always thought the reformation of perfume discussions on this site rather a bore, until it happened to me! Sorry folks, I am now on that band waggon of bemoaning the demise of once wonderful, evocative scents…
I have relegated this huge bottle of non-smelling ‘water’ to the bathrooms at work for everyone to use to freshen up…it’s all it’s good for really and even then it does a very poor job. Sob…

I bought the Edt and it reminds me of Paloma Picasso, Lancome Ô de Lancome and Lancome Magie Noire. On me it’s a little bit soapy and green. Disappeared quickly, next time I will go for the Edp.

This is my second perfume.i bought it from online shop, the shopkeeper highly recommend it.when i wear this,i find it was quite different from mass market perfume i used to use. it reminds me of a kind of bath gel.i think it will be very warm to wear in cold winter, because it’s spicy and floral.but i probably too young to wear this perfume,a mature and enterprising women over 25 years old must fit it perfectly well.before i get enough older,i would wear it when i go to bed,i love it

Fragranza ottima, davvero una “perla” da scoprire e riscoprire della profumeria italiana.
    A me piace tantissimo! Ottimo!
    Caldo, dolce, seducente.

To me this is almost a parody of a 1980s powerhouse chypre it is so stinky and deep, as if you grew Ungaro on a bed of manure. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE chypres. I have an old miniature where the citrusy topnotes have for the most part left and it gets right to the flowers growing on a bed of perfectly fresh compost. I believe I also smell asafoetida mixed in with the spice. This is not an unpleasant perfume if dabbed carefully, but it is funny that this was once the signature perfume for a lingerie house associated with the most delicate and lacy feminine concoctions. When did feminism end and women get so sirupy-sweet and brazilian-waxed?

  12. :

    5 out of 5

    Spicy, floral, sweet…
All i get is a spicy concoction of roses and honey. The twist comes from the patchouli and the vetyver, but mostly that’s all i get.
Sadly, that’s basically every rose fragrance around. The patchouli-rose combo is WAY overdone.

I love the original La Perla. The very first time I bought this perfume I was only 13(!!) years old. Me and my mom visited some relatives in London (we’re Swedish) and we decides to stop by Selfridges. I was overwhelmed with all the beautiful fragrances and somewhere along the diffrent counters I discovered La Perla.
I must admit, this fragrance was way too mature for my age but there was something magical about it. I just could not stop sniffing my wrist, so I decided to buy a bottle. It was a very good choice since I to this day, 23 years later, consider this fragrance to be one of the most wonderful fragrances to have ever been made.
I bought a bottle of La Perla EDP about five years ago and I must say that I still enjoy it very much, however, since I consider this fragrance to be more suitable for evening wear I purchased a bottle of La Perla EDT about six months ago, hoping that the EDT would be just as great as the EDP but a bit lighter. I was very disappointed. It is like a copy/cheaper version of the original. After a while it starts smelling cheap and I just want to wash it off. I dont know if the EDP still smells good or if they have changed this one as well. I hope not!!

Vintage La Perla is one of my favourite perfumes. I have been wearing this since I was 18 and I never get tired of it’s warm, woody, sweet-sharp cloud that sings note perfect on skin. This is easily in my top 5 perfumes of all time. I have a stash of vintage that I use with abandon knowing that one day it will be gone but my addiction is so strong I HAVE to wear it.
I highly recommend the pre-reform, it’s a real treat. I love the oakmoss/rose/carnation notes very much.
I should point out that I also have the new formulation and it’s a shadow of the original glory.
I am really unimpressed that yet another amazing perfume has bitten the reformulation dust. What an utter sin to take a beautiful, sexy, glorious perfume and rip the guts out of it, resulting in an entirely different perfume that shares only the name.

High hopes- It’s by La Perla, after all ! New (reformulated) La Perla La Perla (2012+): Flat, stale-peppered (cheap) wood. Now linear; Absent any discernible structure nor evolution of top/heart/base notes as in original (pre-reformulation)… Now, loud, crass, hard, sharp, & harsh upon initial spray; Settles quickly to low sillage, poor longevity, & a barely-there skin scent- Total duration +/- 3 hrs. Former (original) round, rich, deep, subtly sweet, full-bodied, fresh-ground peppered, smooth, complex, artfully blended/ layered “Pearl” of chypre perfumery, is now sadly stripped of its beauty; Reduced, instead, to the irritant shard of sand within; degraded further yet to a solidified, bottom layer, hardened lump of decade-old, stale, bone dry, residual fine silt of pre-ground pepper, in a tired diner, where the shakers have never been fully emptied nor cleaned.
Tragic loss. This formerly smooth, complex, elegant, Italian classic (masterpiece!) reknowned for her heavenly dry-down, was an exquisite treasure! La Perla La Perla used to be a life-long, top shelf, HG woody floral Chypre- Under-rated, under-appreciated, under-priced. Thankfully, I stocked up on 30 bottles of pre-reformulation EdP (the 100 ml. Tall bottle). A timeless, priceless gem- Now lost to reformulation- A dusty, dry, linear, 2-note stale pepper-olfactory irritant.

La Perla is a lovely fragrance, it reminds me of all the nice and characterful scents of the eighties. Not the same, but similar to Paloma Picasso. Unfortunately, I recently got the comment I smelled of cigar(smoke). Not the association I had in mind, personally. In fact, I do not even smell smoke in it, only wood (and flowers). But the remark did make me more hesitant to use this scent regularly.

This is not a review, rather: information relative to “La Perla” I hope some may find informative.
I wanted to find the name(s) of the perfumer(s) of La Perla “La Perla.” I am enamored of this fragrance and became curious about it’s history. Mainly: I wished to find the perfumer to see what else s/he has created.
According to what I found online: Pierre Wargyne is the actual perfumer. He is the creator of several well-known men’s fragrances, but apparently has only created “La Perla” and had a hand in only one other fragrance for women besides this one.
The other one is called “Mango Delirium,” which he co-created with perfumers Rosendo Mateu and Elisabeth Vidal of the Mango line. (It’s based in Spain, parent company is Puig).
I don’t think I’ll be pursuing the “Mango Delirium,” but I do wish he had–or will–create more perfumes just as outstanding as “La Perla.”

I tried the original la Perla many years ago, as the list of notes sounded very much like the floral chypre type perfumes I adore. Although very likeable, it wasn’t enough different from Paloma Picasso for me to believe I needed both, and I still feel that PP is a more complex, more interesting fragrance all around. I hope they haven’t ruined La Perla. Frankly, I’m so disgusted with all the perfume chemicals being delisted I wish they would give out waivers or something, so those of us who don’t care, and really want our aroma chemicals could actually have them!

its aquatic and salty to me – like a dirty sea shell.. or a pearl I suppose. I just don’t like it 🙁

This is utterly glorious, I’m glad to see a bit of a resurgence of this fragrance, I don’t really see it as a floral, it’s too complex, I see it more warm vanilla and woody, with a stunning hit of Patchouli. Surprised a little by the references to Paloma Pacasso, both are wonderfully distinctive and unique, this is nicer though 🙂

I really love this! Bought as a blind buy after reading reviews here. Surpassed my expectations. On the hunt for a Fendi substitute, this is not like it at all! But its lovely … Warm, feminine, assertive without being too in your face. A nice complex oriental, sillage and longevity are good enough for me. I could happily wear this every day and not miss my old favourites as much.

Released in 1987, under the same brand’s name, La Perla (the Pearl) is a wonderful Chypre-floral. Everything indicates that the formula is no longer the same, thanks to numerous limitations that the world perfumery has been suffering over the years, with regard to the use of some raw materials of natural or animal origins. Still, the fragrance is a splendour between the classic and the elegant.
It contains notes of Carnation, Freesia, citrus and osmanthus, which introduce a rich floral bouquet of jasmine, rose and ylang-ylang, along with spices like coriander and pepper. At the base, patchouli, musk, benzoin, amber, sandalwood and oakmoss. There are lists mentioning also the presence of honey and cedar.
When it touches the skin, is a chypre from birth. It’s strong, sensual and a little raspy, leaving the throat lightly dry as a side effect. For a long time, the nuances of rose and ylang-ylang are dominant. After about 2 hours of its application, the projection declines and the fragrance evolves into a creamier base, in which the chypre aspect gives place to a floral-vanilla scent, very seductive. And this mutation ability was something that caught my attention.
For those seeking an olfactory reference, there are numerous comparisons with the Paloma Picasso perfume. The difference, in my point of view, is that Paloma Picasso shouts that is coming, while La Perla arrives quietly, without fuss.
I can see this fragrance as an excellent alternative for businesswomen, who need to be well dressed, elegant and must transmit confidence.

Just received a little bottle of this today. Not sure of age etc – the box and bottle both look a little bit old and worn, but the packaging has a list of ingredients with no oak moss or tree moss listed, so I am not sure.
When I first sprayed, I got a hint of something very similar to Paloma Picasso Paloma Picasso. Which worried me, as PPPP REALLY doesn’t work well on my skin. But within just a few minutes this softened, and my gosh it reminds me of something else so much but I cannot place what! It is driving me a little insane trying to work it out!
After about 30 mins this has settled to a powdery creamy sweet floral, with a slightly naughty heavy musk base with a tiny hint of dirtiness. Rose, Ylang, Honey, Coriander, Musk and Vetiver are the main notes to me, although I also detect patchouli and pepper. And something, something else I just cannot put my finger on. I will update later when this has chance to develop, in the meantine I am going to be switching between scratching my head and sniffing my arm!
Impression after 1 hour = Nice, I like it. The initial dirty opening has softened into something surprisingly floral, powdery and classy. I am reminded a little of Nantucket Briar, Loulou and PPPP…but something else, argh, what is it??! Good sillage at this stage. I like.
update – ok so from hours 0-1 this is like a cleaner PPPP, or a slightly dirty nantucket briar – powdery, floral, musky, with the prickle of pepper, coriander and carnation. Hours 1-5 this becomes so very similar to nantucker briar and montheme black oud (which I find somewhat similar once they settle). Without either of the others on my skin as reference at the time I would say I would have a hard time saying which it was.
After about 5-6 hours it changes a little, that hint of dirtiness creeps back in, albeit very lightly, a small hint rather than anything big or obvious, and the rose and carnation become more defined.
Overall longevity is good, about 10-11 hours on me, although from 6-7 hours in this worse quite close to the skin.
I like this perfume, I reminds me of nantucket briar which is a current favourite of mine, but with a little more naughtiness. That said I would probably pick nantucket briar over this owing to price, longevity, versatility and the range of accompanying produts.

I didn’t realize this was so sweet! The first moments are delightful chypre, an animalic whiff raising my eyebrows and my curiosity. Then I smell a sanitized honey and light floral bouquet. It’s well blended but suddenly so much less interesting. It begins to smell more synthetic (i.e. reminiscent of palpably human-made substances) and a bit one-dimensionally sweet. What happened to all that depth that was promised by the top notes?

At once refined and rugged, La perla’s perfect blend of sensuous and brisk notes indulge my senses like no other. Carnation, oak moss, honey, coriander…these are the notes that made me a believer in old school perfumery. This is the scent which most eloquently renders my feminine ideal. Dry,earthy, sexual, strong, not sweet or cheerful but intelligent and full of life. To me she is the perfect accompaniment to the indie goth look I’ve been partial to lately.
She is an aristocrat who is at home in both bergdorfs and bathing nude in a secluded woodland stream. All fry boots and Pendleton blankets she takes her horse for a cold morning ride through the woods. When she is done with her horse, she puts the Hermes saddle on you. 😉

This is a very beautiful and elegant fragrance. Perfumes with heavy carnation notes are right up my alley. This scent is very sophisticated and imparts wave after wave of gorgeous crisp wafts of refined and delicate spicy bliss.
I love it’s woody comfort and stability. It’s both airy and earthy and very interesting. It doesn’t seem sultry to me, just womanly and confident. My bottle is the boat shaped vintage EDP with the word “Bodysilk” written under La Perla.
The sillage is excellent, but not loud. I’m not getting the longevity that others report. On me the scent only lasts 4 hours but that could be due to the condition of my particular bottle. I like this one enough to search for another vintage bottle!

2_3 months ago l got 2 old versions in a blind buy. The one is edition 15ml black bottle with gold cap eau de parfum and the second one is old bottle eau de toilette (the shape of it is like a boat). In the first snif from the first one I realised it was too strong for me and complicated for my taste….but l got the feeling of something sophisticated which but maybe didn’t work with my body chemistry so l didn’t even open the second bottle and washed my wrist from the first one.The first thought -not my cup of tea….but l was wrong!!!! 3 weeks ago l was thinking to give another chance to the perfume so I opened the second bottle and put a little on my wrist and…the miracle happened!!! I kept feeling it during the day and it was amazing, I can’t even describe it with words, the perfection in a bottle. It lasted till the morning of the next day…wow!!! I couldn’t believe I would feel so good wearing it and that’s when I realised I love it!!! The next day I tried the first one and it was wonderful, I can’t believe I refused such a beauty from the first snif.So sophisticate , good quality a perfect combination …a masterprice!!!! Now I’m obsessed with La Perla, I can’t stand two days without snifing it !!!!! People give it a chance….just were it …forget what you are wearing and feel the air around you ….don’t think anything just feel….

I had an odd experience with this perfume as it was like the classy spicy floral was fighting it out with a sharp bug spray note (the lemon; I have a hard time with it). First one would come to the fore, then the other, but unfortunately the Off/Pledge seems to be winning, so I’ll be moving on to the next sample.

I am very M in love with Magie Noire Lancome and I can say for 1000 % -It DOESN’T remind Magie Noir AT ALL!
Only after I read several reviews that it reminds M Noire Lancome I blindly bought it . Do not believe these reviews , it is misguiding!!! Do not buy this one as a resemblance of M N Lancome!!
This is very soft and pleasant shypr , but not powdery at all!! This is also misguiding! This soft , creamy dry down does not relate to real powdery frags. People just name creamy notes in not correct way! Powdery fumes lovers, you will be disappointed with this one, so do not buy like me after some review saying that it is powdery…

Okay i am compelled to write another review on this perfume. I originally bought it because of the reviews I read here sometime ago. I knew I had to get it. This is a well refined classy perfume. It does not smell cheap. I think the price is very reasonable. It cost less than £40 for a 100ml. This is definitely a headturner. It embodies a woman (not a girl) that knows EXACTLY what she wants. Even though it reveals a bitter and a sweet scent, there is still something dark yet mysterious about this perfume which I find utterly sexy.

I have: Modern EDP restyle sample.
This is my 5th test out of this fragrance.
This is very nice. It’s a soft, warm and sweet chypre. I get lots of honeyed incense on my skin, almost like nag champa. I also get cardamom tea, and lots of earthiness from vetiver, patchouli and corriander.
Now there is one reason why this has snuck from a love down on to my ‘like’ list. After about 20 minutes my skin turns this into johnsons baby powder. I’m really sad that the initial spicy deliciousness doesn’t stick around longer on me but the powdery base does last forever.
If your skin makes a better combination with this scent it could be magical on you. Give it a try!

I used to wear this years ago, and it’s still one of my favourites. It’s a true classic; warm, sophisticated and elegant.
However, beware spraying it on your clothes – I found that after a while it left a faint musty odour. Ooops!

It was summer 1990 and I was just 18.
I wanted a fragrance for the season and came across La Perla; it was love at first sniff.
Now am 40 and my olfactory system has developed into a very sophisticated radar, tuned onto the unique and most unusual chypre. I can’t believe that I was only 18 and already so olfactorily mature.
La Perla on me smells mostly of oakmoss, patchouli, carnation, benzoin and just a little of incense and citrusy jasmine.
It seals on my skin like a second layer in a dry, warm and elegant aura of unattainability that drives mad every man around me when I wear it, and makes women beg to know the secret around the mysterious aura able to cast such spell on them.
    It’s Class. It’s sensuality. It’s wonders.
Works best on acidic/alkaline PH. 10/10

I love La Perla and think I’ve reviewed this before but today I put it on and got a surprise – it smelled of VIOLETS! Mmmm!
I can only think that it somehow mixed with the remnants of the Must de Cartier I had on the day before to make this strange but pleasant result..
Looking at the review below, I’m not sure if I’ve got the ‘new’ or ‘old’ one now, think it must be the ‘old’ one actually.
They’d better not have messed with this masterpiece and it’s such a shame if they have!!
By the way – I LOVE Magie Noire and like Paloma P and I don’t see the similarity with La Perla apart from maybe being relations and all beautiful masterpieces!

  40. :

    3 out of 5

To all La perla lovers, a warning. Beware of the new packaging. New version of La Perla is very different from the old. It is more sour, sharper, woody leathery and without the honey note. Pepper, insence, coriadre, cardamon and lemon are prominent, while ylang ylang, carnation rose and honey as I mentioned, are toned down. Very far away from Paloma now….
I’ve just made a comparison (new and old on my wrists)
It is still a very nice fragrance, but don’t expect to smell the same perfume again.

  41. :

Indeed, if to take out honey from Paloma Picasso and reduce the volume of its’ notes, you’ll have a perfume very similar to La Perla. I’d say, La Perla is Un Aire de Paloma Picasso. It is airy, but warm and complex perfume. Beautiful, refined, wistful, smooth, with a delicate drydown.

Very similar to Lancome’s “Magie Noire” but not as interesting.

  43. :

    3 out of 5

For me…this is nostalgia in a bottle.
And….not because I think it smells “old” or because I knew anyone who wore it in my past. On the contrary, it is simply a gorgeous blend of notes that somehow have the ability to evoke a gazillion fond memories yet still manages to smell timeless.
La Perla is a thick, heady and even moist blend of Ylang Ylang,Honey,Carnation,Vanilla and Patchouli.Of course, there are many more notes listed but these are the particular ones that stand out for me. There’s a heavenly sweetness to it but also a crisp soapiness that compliment each other so well that they keep things from being too much of one or the other. As it dries down it becomes even softer and more powdery and takes on a creamy, spice cake feel. When I wear this and close my eyes, I see myself outdoors at night, in the moonlight, either on a warm summer night or bundled up during the crispness of fall or winter.Gazing up at the stars, enveloped in fond memories and cocooned by a feeling of warmth and comfort.
It does, indeed, smell so similar to Paloma Picasso ( I’m doing a sniff comparison right now on each arm.) I think that the first phase is where all of the similarities lie because as they dry down, La Perla becomes softer, warmer and more powdery than PP, which becomes more “dry”, soapy “uplifting” equally as beautiful but in a slightly different way. I also think that K de Krizia shares similarities with La Perla in it’s powdery softness.
I’m so glad that I found this scent…thank you for all of your wonderful reviews!

If I were my grandma, I’d like this perfume. Powdery classic.

Very, very similar to Clinique’s Aromatics Elixir. They share Oakmoss, Patchouli, and incense. Differ in that the Sweet Honey takes center stage in La Perla. This needs to be sprayed with a “light hand” or sprayed and walked through, as it is strong. This scent is classic, refined, and memorable.

Strange, that I hardly smell it on myself, it seems so clean, transparent and gentle, in a “second skin” way. But others do and I get compliments – especially men go after this perfect chypre like bees after the honey!

So many times in the past, being a little girl, i looked at the beautiful women who passed me by and many times felt this amazing wif….I was small to think to ask what was it.
This was my blind buy ( like 99% of all i owe)…. i could not believe it. the same, gorgeous smell from my childhood. no wonder, it is still on the shelves since 90-ies….it is a gem.
BUT, having it now and almost finishing my 1st bottle of 100ml EDT, i can say- do not look at the date of when it was created. I can say that it is so elegant-modern-classic-alluring-unique, that it could be created ‘yesterday’. i think that this perfume will never have age or will never age!!!!
I am not good at all with distinguishing the participating notes, – all i can say is that opens up gradually during @ 30-60 minutes. I put it on @ 30 min before i have to leave home, so only by then i know that the perfume almost settled and ‘mutated’ after interacting with my skin to this chic, elegant, expensive perfume ‘ambrosia’.
I have EDT version, but it is so strong and long-lasting, that it can even beat my fav. 24 Fabourgh! I am really looking fw to stock up on EDP version.
It can be a very good signature, and i would recommend it to an age group after 30, as it requires some sort of confidence and strong personality to wear this perfume. otherwise it will wear you. It is not watery/greeny/fruity type of current trend perfume mainstream world.
Full, rich, projecting – simply outstanding! LOVE IT!
ADD ON : 3years on +now and i am still in love with this one! it would ne in my top 3 to stretch for! so glad i am stocked up for few years to come!!!!

Fantastic mix of styles that harmonically bleds together. There is wood (cedar, sandalwood), bergamot, classic white soap, soft pepper and coriander, white powder, oakmoss and vetiver, jasmin, ylang and white rose. And honey. Its soft, clean, fresh, dry, natural, delightful scent. I have EDP and it does not remind me of Paloma Picasso.

OMG! This is what I was searching for and I didn’t know it… Thanks to a member “Smelling_gr98” which kindly gifted me an edt 8ml, I had the chance to know this fragrant and now I’m already looking for a large bottle! It reminds me a bit of Paloma Picasso but la perla is a bit sweeter I think due to honey. Cardamon and coriander add fantastic nuances to the honeyed florals and incense/moss is to die for… It is very very elegant perfume. Yes! this is exactly what I wanted in a reasonable price too.

I try out as many chypres as I can get my greedy little hands on (it’s my favorite category of perfume), so stumbling upon this one last year (thanks, Sherapop!) was a special moment. I am enamored of this scent, to put it simply. Such a beautifully complex, well blended fragrance. So well blended that I have a hard time picking out the individual notes. <br
